Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: HYPNOSIS AID DEVICE technical field
[0001] This disclosure falls within the field of hypnosis assistance devices and in particular such devices for stress reduction. Previous technique
[0002] The amygdala is a paired nucleus located in the anterointernal region of the temporal lobe within the uncus, anterior to the hippocampus and inferior to the periamygdala. It is part of the limbic system and is involved in the recognition and evaluation of the emotional valence of sensory stimuli, in associative learning, and in associated behavioral and autonomic responses, particularly in fear and anxiety. The amygdala functions as an alert system through an unconscious memory mechanism and, when faced with a situation, decodes stimuli that could constitute a danger to the organism, allowing the organism to act. In the case of a real danger, the body reacts reflexively with a stress response that activates protective mechanisms. In the case of a perceived danger, a regulatory mechanism corrects and modulates the activation of the amygdala: the body returns to its normal state.
[0003] In certain situations, particularly when a person is faced with a stressful event that seems inescapable or impossible, the emotional response is maximal and remains so; there is no longer any regulation, and the amygdala remains activated without the possibility of inhibition. The person may then be subject to chronic stress or fall into a state of depression.
[0004] It is now known that hypnosis acts on the limbic system and makes it possible, in particular, to reduce or even eliminate stress and depression. Hypnosis is generally practiced in the office of a hypnotherapist who manipulates a pendulum or uses their finger, which the patient must follow with their eyes.
[0005] However, in certain cases, it would be advantageous to be able to carry out hypnosis without the need for the continuous presence of the hypnotherapist. Summary
[0006] This disclosure improves the situation.
[0007] A hypnosis aid device is proposed comprising a motor, a pendulum mounted to the motor at one of its ends, the lower end, and an attention sensor on the other end of the pendulum, the upper end, wherein the motor is adapted to cause the upper end to oscillate angularly of the pendulum between two extreme positions. This device frees the hypnotherapist from having to manually perform tasks that the device can do. Thus, the hypnotherapist can dedicate the time normally spent hypnotizing a patient to other tasks or other patients.
[0008] The features described in the following paragraphs may optionally be implemented independently of each other or in combination with each other:
[0009] The pendulum can be telescopic. The pendulum can have a length between 15 and 60 cm.
[0010] The attention sensor may be purple in color.
[0011] The device may further include a light source disposed on the attention sensor. The light source may be adapted to emit violet light.
[0012] The device may further include a sound emitter.
[0013] The device may further include a housing containing the motor, the housing featuring a slit through which the pendulum extends.
[0014] The device may further include a power source. The power source may be one or more batteries, preferably rechargeable, or a rechargeable battery.
[0015] Brief description of the drawings
[0016] Other features, details and advantages will become apparent from the detailed description below with reference to the drawings, including:
[0017] [Fig-1] illustrates an example of the hypnosis aid device.
[0018] [Fig.2] illustrates the hypnosis aid device with cruise control.
[0019] [Fig.3] illustrates another example of the hypnosis aid device with a pendulum telescopic.
[0020] [Fig.4] illustrates another example of the hypnosis aid device with a source luminous.
[0021] [Fig.5] illustrates the hypnosis aid device with a sound emitter.
[0022] The elements illustrated by the figures are not limited to the figures in which they appear, but they can be combined with each other. Description of the implementation methods
[0023] A device to aid hypnosis will be described later with reference to figures 1 to 5.
[0024] The hypnosis aid device 1 comprises a motor, a pendulum 12, and a attention sensor 13.
[0025] The motor can be coupled to a speed controller allowing the user to regulate the oscillation speed (see [Fig. 2]). The user interface 112 of the controller Speed regulator can be a button allowing the driver to switch between speeds by pressing it, or a rotary or linear potentiometer whose speed depends on the angular or linear position of a slider.
[0026] The pendulum 12 comprises a lower end 121 and an upper end 122. The terms "lower" and "upper" should be understood in the normal operating position of the hypnosis aid device 1. The pendulum 12 is connected to the motor by the lower end 121. The motor is adapted to cause the pendulum 12 to oscillate angularly around a pivot point so that its upper end 122 oscillates between two extreme positions P1, P2. The pendulum 12 preferably has a length between 15 and 70 cm, preferably between 30 and 60 cm, or even up to 65 cm. The shorter values, e.g., between 15 and 20 cm, or even 30 cm, are particularly advantageous when the device 1 needs to be portable.
[0027] The pendulum 12 can be telescopic (see [Fig. 3]). This is particularly advantageous for transporting the hypnosis aid device 1. The distance between the two ends 121, 122 of the pendulum 12 can be shortened and lengthened between a minimum length L1 and a maximum length L2. The minimum length can be 15 to 20 cm. The maximum length can be 30 to 60 cm, or even up to 65 cm. Furthermore, this allows the length of the pendulum to be adapted to the person being hypnotized. For example, a length of around 30 cm is suitable for a child, and up to 60 cm for an adult.
[0028] The attention sensor 13 is attached to the upper end of the pendulum 12. The attention sensor 13 can be any object, including decorative objects, that is relatively small compared to the length of the pendulum 12 (or, in the case of a telescopic pendulum, compared to its maximum length). Thus, the attention sensor 13 can have a maximum dimension between 1 and 10 cm, preferably between 3 and 6 cm. This maximum dimension refers to the visible face of the attention sensor 13 in the normal operating position of the hypnosis aid device 1.
[0029] The attention sensor 13 can be violet. This color is known to have a relaxing effect on humans and can, in particular, soothe certain types of pain. Other colors can be used for other properties: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, magenta, cyan, etc.
[0030] The hypnosis aid device 1 may further include a light source 14 advantageously arranged on the attention sensor 13 (see [Fig. 4]). This light source 14 is preferably a light-emitting diode or LED light source. The light source may be adapted to emit violet light. Other colors may be preferred depending on the desired properties: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, magenta, cyan, etc.
[0031] The hypnosis aid device 1 may also include a sound emitter 15 (see [Fig. 5]). The sound emitter 15 allows, in particular, the broadcasting of soft, calming and / or drowsy music or a series of sounds. The sound emitter 15 can also, or alternatively, allow the transmission of auditory instructions to the user.
[0032] The hypnosis aid device 1 may further include a power supply. The power supply provides energy to the motor. The power supply may also power the light source 14 and / or the sound emitter 15. The power supply may consist of one or more batteries, possibly rechargeable, or a rechargeable battery. If the power supply is rechargeable, the device 1 may further include a charger.
[0033] Alternatively or in addition, the hypnosis aid device 1 can be mains-powered. For this purpose, it may include a plug. For example, device 1 is suitable for a 220 V power supply and may include a transformer to allow operation at different voltages.
[0034] The hypnosis aid device 1 further comprises a housing 11 containing the motor. This housing has a slot 111 through which the pendulum 12 extends. The slot 111 allows the pendulum 12 to oscillate angularly around a pivot point in the housing 11. The housing 11 can also house at least one of the following: the sound emitter 15 and the power supply.
