Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: SYSTEM FOR NEUTRALIZING A CHARGING CABLE INTENDED FOR AN ELECTRIC OR HYBRID MOTOR VEHICLE AND METHOD IMPLEMENTING SAID SYSTEM
[0001] The invention relates to the field of electric and hybrid vehicles, and more particularly to electric charging cables intended to charge these vehicles.
[0002] Known from the state of the art is an electrical socket implementing an active authorization system for the insertion of the plug into the socket disclosed in document FR3043602. This system requires, at the socket, the juxtaposition of two walls pierced with holes allowing the passage of the connectors of the socket. When the system is unlocked, the walls are positioned so that the holes are located opposite each other. In this way, the connectors of the plug enter the socket through said holes. Conversely, in the locked position, the walls undergo a translational movement relative to each other so that the holes in the first wall are offset relative to those in the second wall. Thus, when attempting to insert, the connectors collide with the wall, thus preventing them from being plugged into the electrical socket. In one example of the patent, an electromagnetic sensor is present at the electrical outlet to detect the presence and / or position of a magnet present at the plug. Depending on the position of the magnet, authorization for plugging is given or not. In this way, if the magnet is too far away and / or not detected by the electromagnetic sensor, the charging socket remains in the locked position. The walls present in the socket are positioned offset from each other, the connectors cannot therefore be inserted into the socket. Charging the vehicle is impossible. Consequently, if the magnet is damaged, the electromagnetic sensor is no longer able to detect said magnet and unlocking the socket is impossible. Another disadvantage nevertheless persists. In the event of a malfunction of the electrical outlet, two scenarios arise. The first concerns the blocking of the walls in the locked position, which has the consequence of indefinitely preventing the insertion of the plug into the socket. Charging the vehicle is therefore impossible. This consequence results in the need to change the socket of the electric or hybrid vehicle. This work results in a relatively high cost for the vehicle owner. The second scenario occurs when the walls are blocked in the unlocked position. In this case, the electrical socket can be used at any time without requiring authorization. The invention has . then no more interest.
[0003] The objective of the present invention is to overcome these drawbacks by proposing a neutralization system comprising a charging cable to prevent its use when said charging cable is damaged or stolen.
[0004] To achieve this objective, the invention proposes a neutralization system comprising a charging cable intended for an electric or hybrid motor vehicle and a sensor configured to detect a chip, the charging cable comprising a tip comprising a wall having an opening and at least a first connector and a second connector, said tip further comprising a motor capable of receiving a signal, said motor having a shaft comprising a cam, said tip further comprising a rod having a longitudinal axis, said rod further having a first end in contact with the cam and a second end capable of translating transversely relative to the wall, said tip further comprising a chip configured to be detected by said sensor, the cam having an elliptical profile comprising a minor axis and a major axis, said rod being further capable of protruding relative to the wall when the chip moves away from a distance greater than a predefined distance relative to said sensor, said system being configured to have two positions: , - a first non-neutralized position, the chip being detected at a distance less than the predefined distance, the first end of the rod being in contact with the cam so that the longitudinal axis of the rod coincides with the minor axis of the cam; - a second neutralized position, the chip being moved away by a distance greater than the predefined distance, the longitudinal axis of the rod being coincident with the major axis of the cam, the rod having translated transversely relative to the wall and the second end of the rod having passed through the opening.
[0005] Thus, the theft of the charging cable causes the chip to move away from the sensor, so that said chip is no longer detected by the sensor. This causes the rod to come out through the wall. The presence of the rod through the wall of the tip, between the connectors, prevents the electrical plug from being inserted into the plug. Consequently, the use of the charging cable is prevented.
[0006] Advantageously, the chip is an RFID type chip. Thus, the sensor sends a signal in the form of electromagnetic waves to the chip, the chip being linked to an antenna which emits a response allowing the chip to be located within a detection radius of a predefined distance relative to said sensor.
[0007] Furthermore, the predefined distance is greater than 5 m, preferably 10 m. Charging cables are usually between 3 m and 7 m long, which leaves room for the person using these cables to move and charge. of his vehicle.
[0008] The invention also relates to a method for neutralizing a previously described charging cable comprising the following steps: - a step of moving the chip away from the sensor by a distance greater than 5 m, preferably 10 m; - a step of transmitting a signal by the chip to the motor; - a step of actuating the motor so as to set the cam in rotation and to transmit a translational movement to the rod until the longitudinal axis of the rod coincides with the major axis of the cam.
[0009] The invention further relates to a charging station intended for the electrical recharging of an electric or hybrid motor vehicle comprising a system for neutralizing the previously exposed charging cable.
[0010] The invention will be further detailed by the description of non-limiting embodiments, and on the basis of the appended figures illustrating variants of the invention, in which: - [Fig.l] schematically illustrates a charging cable in non-neutralized configuration; - [Fig.2] schematically illustrates a charging cable in new configuration tralized; - [Fig.3] illustrates, in the form of a flowchart, the process of neutralizing a charging cable.
[0011] [Fig.l] schematically illustrates a non-neutralized charging cable 1. The charging cable 1 comprises an end piece 2 having a wall 3 on which two connectors 4a and 4b are arranged. The charging cable 1 comprises a motor 5. The motor 5 comprises a shaft 6, the shaft 6 comprising a cam 7. The cam 7 has an elliptical profile comprising a minor axis P and a major axis G. A rod 8 is in contact with the cam 7, at its first end 11a. The rod 8 has a longitudinal axis T. For example, the rod 8 may have a cylindrical shape. The rod 8 is able to translate transversely in the wall 3. An opening 9 is present at the level of the wall 3 in order to allow the rod 8 to exit when the charging cable 1 is neutralized. In the non-neutralized configuration of the charging cable 1, the longitudinal axis T of the rod 8 coincides with the minor axis P of the cam. Thus, the rod 8 has not yet translated and does not protrude relative to the tip 2. The charging cable 1 also comprises a chip 10. Advantageously, the chip 10 is a radio-identification chip, also called an RFID chip (acronym meaning Radio Frequency Identification in English). The chip 10 is accompanied by an antenna capable of emitting a signal. The signal is transmitted in the form of an electromagnetic wave. A sensor (not shown), called an RFID reader, is notably composed of two . elements: a receiver and a transmitter. Thus, it is able to receive and generate a response to the signal sent by the chip 10. The sensor sends an electromagnetic wave towards the chip 10. Upon receiving the electromagnetic wave, the chip 10 is activated and sends the information back to it via the antenna. The information communicated by the chip 10 to the sensor is its position. The predefined distance corresponds to a distance greater than 5 m, preferably 10 m. Beyond the predefined distance, the chip 10 is no longer detected by the sensor. In the context of a charging cable rental service, the sensor may, for example, be placed in a locker for providing said charging cable 1. The sensor may also be located at a charging terminal to monitor the position of the charging cable 1 specific to said terminal. These examples are not limiting. The charging cable 1 is in its non-neutralized configuration when the chip 10 is detected at a distance less than or equal to the predefined distance.
[0012] In [Fig.2], the charging cable 1 is shown in the neutralized configuration, that is to say when the chip 10 is located at a distance greater than the predefined distance. Advantageously, this predefined distance is greater than 5 m, preferably 10 m. In this configuration, the longitudinal axis T of the rod 8 coincides with the major axis G of the cam 7. The first end 11a of the rod 8 is in contact with the cam 7. The rod 8 is in a translated position, so that the end 11b of the rod 8 passes through the opening 9 in the wall 3. Thus, the rod 8 projects relative to the end piece 2 of the charging cable 1.
[0013] In [Fig.3] are represented, in the form of a flowchart, the different stages of the method for neutralizing the charging cable 1. During a removal step E1, the charging cable 1 is moved away by a distance greater than the previously defined distance from the sensor. Advantageously, the predefined distance is greater than 5 m, preferably 10 m. Beyond the predefined distance, the sensor no longer detects the chip 10. During the transmission step E2, a signal is transmitted to the motor 5. Advantageously, the chip 10 transmits a signal in the form of a wave. Preferably, the signal is transmitted by an antenna. The motor 5 is stopped until the signal is received. During an actuation step E3, the reception of the signal causes the motor 5 to be actuated. Consequently, the shaft 6 is set in rotation. Starting the motor 5 causes a rotational movement of the shaft 6. The cam 7 is fixed relative to the shaft 6. Thus, when the shaft 6 is rotating, the cam 7 rotates with it.The rod 8 has two ends, a first end 11a in contact with the cam 7 and a second end 11b which runs transversely across the wall 3, opposite the opening 9. The rod 8 is not fixed by any end: it is free to translate against the cam 7 as well as in the wall 3. Thus, the rotation of the cam 7 causes the translation of the rod 8 through the wall 3. The rotational movement of the cam 7 . causes the rod 8 to slide against the cam 7. The longitudinal axis T of the rod 8 then merges with the major axis G of the cam 7, said rod 8 translates relative to the wall 3 until it passes through the opening 9. In this way, the rod 8 reaches its maximum amplitude relative to the non-neutralized configuration illustrated in [Fig.l]. In the neutralized position, the charging cable 1 is rendered unusable by the presence of the rod 8 between the connectors 4a, 4b. The advantage of rendering unusable a charging cable 1 which has been the subject of an act of vandalism or theft. This is a means of deterrence since the person planning to commit such an act knows, before committing the act, that he will not be able to use the charging cable 1.
