Description

Title of the invention: Foldable cantilever work structure for manually adjusting the extension length of a side frame Technical field

[0001] The present invention relates to the field of construction and, more particularly, to a foldable cantilevered work structure configured to support a vertical formwork panel.

[0002] With reference to [Fig.l], a foldable cantilevered work structure 103 is configured to be mounted on a construction wall of a building such as a building using fixing fasteners mounted in the construction wall. Such a foldable cantilevered work structure is known, for example, from patent FR2906286 of the company SATECO.

[0003] The structure 103 comprises a circulation tray 104 extending horizontally and comprising a frame 140 on which a floor 141 rests. In this example, the frame 140 has a rectangular shape and comprises a plurality of longitudinal crosspieces. The circulation tray 104 extends along its length along an X axis and along its width along a Y axis.

[0004] Still with reference to [Fig.l], the circulation tray 104 comprises at least one front edge 104A arranged to extend close to said building wall and at least one rear edge 104B opposite said front edge 104A. In this example, due to its rectangular shape, the circulation tray 104 comprises a single front edge 104A and a single rear edge 104B. Nevertheless, it goes without saying that the circulation tray 104 could comprise more than one front edge 104A and more than one rear edge 104B.

[0005] The circulation tray 104 further comprises members for attachment to the building wall. Conventionally, the attachment members are in the form of two articulated uprights 151 each at a front end on the circulation tray 104 around an articulation axis substantially parallel to the circulation tray 104, between a folded storage position and an unfolded use position substantially orthogonal to the circulation tray 104, at least one foldable arm 152, connecting the circulation tray 104 and the articulated upright 151. When in use, the structure 103 can extend to several meters in height to form very high building walls.

[0006] The circulation tray 104 further comprises a support beam 170 configured to cooperate with at least one fixing clip mounted on a vertical wall of way to suspend structure 103.

[0007] With reference to [Fig. 1], in order to prevent operators moving on the circulation platform 104 from falling, the structure 103 conventionally comprises at least one rear protective canopy 161 and side guardrails 162.

[0008] In a known manner, the circulation tray 104 comprises lateral extensions so as to increase its length along the X axis in a configurable manner. For this purpose, patent application FR2944041A1 discloses a circulation tray comprising a central frame, a left lateral frame and a right lateral frame which are slidably mounted in the central frame in an adjustable manner. In practice, each lateral frame has a high mass and adjusting the extension length is a source of difficulty for the operators.

[0009] In order to eliminate this drawback, patent application FR2944041A proposed an assistance system by separating the side frames from the central frame. The assistance system is in the form of a set of connecting rods which deploy to simultaneously separate the right side frame and the left side frame. Such an assistance system has a high mass and a significant bulk due to the presence of numerous connecting rods. Furthermore, it does not allow the length of each side frame to be adjusted independently.

[0010] Patent application FR2984384A1 also proposed an assistance system comprising an adjustment rod extending along the length to move a single lateral chassis. Such an assistance system has a reduced mass but has the disadvantage of limiting the adjustment length which is dependent on the length of the adjustment rod. Thus, in practice, only a reduced extension length can be obtained.

[0011] In practice, any assistance system significantly increases the mass of the cantilevered work platform. In addition, to activate the assistance system, the operator must use a wrench or screwdriver, which is a disadvantage.

[0012] Patent application FR3115805A1 also proposed an assistance system comprising at least one rolling member, in particular of the needle cage type. Such a sliding member has a high cost and must be positioned precisely in the structure 103 to allow optimal rolling. This requires precise machining, which increases the manufacturing cost. Also, the number of rolling members must be reduced to contain the manufacturing cost.

[0013] One of the objectives of the present invention is to provide a foldable cantilevered work structure which eliminates at least some of these drawbacks. PRESENTATION OF THE INVENTION

[0014] The invention relates to a foldable cantilevered work structure intended to be mounted on a vertical construction wall and to support a formwork panel, the structure comprising a circulation tray comprising means for fixing to said vertical construction wall, the circulation tray extending along its length along a first axis and along its width along a second axis, the circulation tray comprising a central frame and at least one lateral frame mounted to slide relative to the central frame along the first axis, the central frame comprising at least one first guide member configured to slide with at least one second guide member of the lateral frame.

[0015] The structure is remarkable in that it comprises at least one sliding member positioned at the interface between the second guide member and the first guide member, the sliding member comprising a synthetic polymer material so as to allow an operator to move the lateral chassis with reduced friction relative to the central chassis manually and without tools.

[0016] Thanks to the invention, an operator can move the side frame with reduced friction compared to the central frame. Advantageously, the movement is carried out without tools, in particular, without a geared assistance member. The invention counters a prejudice which existed in the prior art and which required the provision of a geared assistance member to carry out the movement of a side frame whose mass can exceed 100 kg. According to the invention, only sliding members are provided to move the side frame relative to the central frame, which makes it possible to reduce the mass as well as the cost of a cantilevered foldable work structure compared to a cantilevered foldable work structure comprising a geared assistance member or rolling members.A synthetic polymer material has excellent sliding properties and is particularly suitable for metal guide members.

[0017] Furthermore, the assembly of the sliding members is less restrictive than for rolling members which must be positioned precisely along the rolling axis. A sliding member has a reduced cost, which makes it possible to multiply the sliding zones.

[0018] Manual and tool-free handling is very advantageous since the operator can change the length at any time and without delay. In addition, the adjustment can be carried out precisely by the operator who can manipulate the side frame like a drawer.

[0019] Preferably, the cantilevered foldable working structure is free of pneumatic or hydraulic assistance members. The structure is thus lighter and more economical. More preferably, the cantilevered foldable working structure is free of assistance members comprising connecting rods.

[0020] According to one aspect, at least one sliding member, preferably each, has a sliding surface of between 800 and 1200 mm2, preferably between 1000 and 1200 mm2. It can thus be conveniently mounted on a guide member while allowing optimal sliding.

[0021] According to one aspect, at least one sliding member is configured to guide a lower surface of the second guiding member. Guiding a lower surface makes it possible to significantly eliminate friction linked to the weight of the side frame under the effect of gravity. The operator's strain is thus reduced. By guiding a lower surface, we mean guiding at a lower interface, the sliding member being able to belong to the first guiding member or to the second guiding member.

[0022] According to one aspect, at least one sliding member is configured to guide an upper surface of the second guiding member. Guiding an upper surface makes it possible to guide any inclination of the second guiding member due to the overhang in order to limit friction in the lower part and in the upper part. By guiding an upper surface, we mean guiding at an upper interface, the sliding member being able to belong to the first guiding member or to the second guiding member.

[0023] According to one aspect, at least one first sliding member is configured to guide a lower surface of the second guiding member and at least one second sliding member is configured to guide an upper surface of said second guiding member.

[0024] According to one aspect, at least one sliding member is in the form of a single piece.

[0025] According to one aspect, at least one sliding member comprises a guide body, defining a front guide surface and a rear surface opposite the front guide surface, and a mounting member attached to the rear surface.

[0026] According to one aspect, at least one sliding member is integral with the first guide member. This advantageously makes it possible to guide the second guide member when the latter slides with the first guide member, the positioning of the sliding member being precise for optimal reduction of friction.

[0027] According to one aspect, at least one sliding member is mounted in a through opening of the first guide member, the through opening having a cross-section of less than 260 mm2. Unlike a rolling member, a sliding member has a small thickness and only needs to be indexed and not precisely oriented. A through opening can thus be formed in a practical manner and without risk of weakening the first guide member.

[0028] According to one aspect, the collapsible cantilever work structure is free gear assist organ to move the side frame.

[0029] According to one aspect, the first guide member comprising at least one lower wall in which a through opening is formed opening onto the second guide member, the sliding member is mounted in the through opening, preferably from inside the first guide member.

[0030] According to one aspect, the first guide member is in the form of a hollow profile in which the second guide member slides.

[0031] According to one aspect, the central chassis comprises at least two first guide members configured to slide respectively with at least two second guide members of the side chassis. Preferably, the central chassis comprises at least three first guide members configured to slide respectively with at least three second guide members of the side chassis.

[0032] According to one aspect, at least one sliding member is positioned at the interface between each second guide member and the first guide member with which it slides. The cost of a sliding member being low and its positioning easy, it is advantageous to facilitate the sliding of each second guide member and thus allow optimal sliding of the lateral chassis.

[0033] According to one aspect, the structure comprises a support beam configured to cooperate with at least one fixing fastener mounted on a vertical wall so as to suspend the structure, the support beam comprises a first central member secured to the central frame and at least one second lateral member mounted to slide relative to the first central member, at least one sliding member being positioned at the interface between the second lateral member and the first central member so as to allow an operator to move the second lateral member with reduced friction relative to the first central member manually and without tools. The cost of a sliding member being low and its positioning easy, it is advantageous to facilitate the sliding of the members of the support beam.

[0034] According to one aspect, the structure further comprises a safety bar configured to lock onto the fixing fasteners of the vertical wall to prevent any tilting of the structure. Preferably, the safety bar also comprises one or more sliding members.

[0035] According to one aspect, the synthetic polymer material is high-density polyethylene. High-density polyethylene, called HDPE, has excellent sliding properties and very good impact and wear resistance while having a contained cost. It is thus suitable for the construction field.

[0036] The invention relates to a method for moving a side frame of a structure as presented previously, the adjustment method comprises a step of manual movement without tools by an operator of the side frame, the sliding member allowing movement of the second guide member of the side chassis with reduced friction compared to the first guide member of the central chassis. [0048] Referring to [Fig.2], there is shown a foldable cantilevered working structure 3, according to one embodiment of the invention, configured to support a vertical formwork panel (not shown).

[0049] As previously presented, the cantilevered foldable work structure 3 is configured to be mounted on a vertical construction wall of a building such as a building using fixing fasteners mounted in the vertical construction wall. The structure 3 comprises a traffic tray 4 having at least one front edge 4A arranged to extend in proximity to said wall and at least one rear edge 4B opposite said front edge 4A. In this example, due to its rectangular shape, the traffic tray 4 has a single front edge 4A and a single edge rear 4B. However, it goes without saying that the circulation tray 4 could comprise more than one front edge 4A and more than one rear edge 4B. As illustrated in [Fig.2], the circulation tray 4 extends along its length along a first axis X, along its width along a second axis Y and vertically along a third axis Z so as to form an orthogonal reference frame (X, Y, Z).

[0050] The circulation platform 4 further comprises members for attachment to the vertical construction wall. Conventionally, the attachment members are in the form of two articulated uprights 51 each at a front end on the circulation platform 4 around an articulation axis substantially parallel to the circulation platform 4, between a folded storage position and an unfolded use position substantially orthogonal to the circulation platform 4, at least one foldable arm 52, connecting the circulation platform 4 and the articulated upright 51. When in use, the structure 3 can extend to several meters in height to form very high vertical construction walls. In order to prevent operators circulating on the circulation platform 4 from falling, the structure 3 conventionally comprises at least one rear protective canopy 61 and lateral guardrails 62.The circulation platform 4 further comprises a support beam 70 configured to cooperate with at least one fixing clip mounted on a vertical wall so as to suspend the structure 3.

[0051] As illustrated in [Fig.3], the circulation tray 4 comprises a central frame 40C and two lateral frames 40G, 40D (a left lateral frame 40G and a right lateral frame 40D) mounted to slide relative to the central frame 40C along the first axis X. Preferably, the frames 40C, 40D, 40G are metallic.

[0052] The central chassis 40C comprises several first guide members 43, extending along the first axis X, and several horizontal crosspieces 42, extending along the second axis Y so as to form a support structure for receiving a central floor 41 (see [Fig.2]). In this example, the central chassis 40C comprises two horizontal crosspieces 42 as well as three first guide members 43 but it goes without saying that their numbers could be different.

[0053] In this example, the side frames 40G, 40D are symmetrical. Also, for the sake of clarity and conciseness, only the right side frame 40D will be presented subsequently. The right side frame 40D comprises several second guide members 44, extending along the first axis X, and a single horizontal cross member 45, extending along the second axis Y so as to form a support structure for receiving a side floor (not shown). It goes without saying that the numbers of second guide members 44 and horizontal cross members 45 could be different. In this example, the horizontal cross member 45 forms one end of the right side frame 40D.

[0054] The support beam 70 comprises a first central member 73 secured to the chassis central 40C and two second lateral members 74, which are slidably mounted in the first central member 73. The two second lateral members 74 are respectively integral with the two lateral frames 40G, 40D. This makes it possible to form a support beam 70 whose length can be adjusted in a practical manner. The lateral members 74 of the support beam 70 have a larger section than the second guide members 44. In particular, each lateral member 74 has a larger guide surface than each second guide member 44.

[0055] In this embodiment, the second guide members 44 are connected to the horizontal cross member 45 in a movably manner in order to allow the horizontal cross member 45 to tilt relative to the second Y axis, in particular, when the extension lengths of the second guide members 44 are different ([Fig. 12]). In this example, the second guide members 44 are connected in an articulated manner to the horizontal cross member 45. Such an implementation will be presented subsequently.

[0056] As illustrated in [Fig.4], each first guide member 43 of the central chassis 40C is configured to slide with at least one second guide member 44 of the right side chassis 40D along the first axis X. In this example, the first guide members 43 and the second guide members 44 are in the form of hollow profiles, in particular, of rectangular section. The second guide members 44 are configured to slide internally to the first guide members 43 but it goes without saying that the reverse would be possible. Each hollow profile defines a lower wall and an upper wall which are preferably flat to facilitate sliding.

[0057] As illustrated in [Fig.5], each second guide member 44 is in the form of a profile of rectangular section.

[0058] Advantageously, each second guide member 44 can move in the first guide member 43 independently of the other second guide members 44. Thus, the extension length of each second guide member 44 can be adjusted independently as illustrated in [Fig. 12].

[0059] Similarly, each lateral member 74 of the support beam 70 is in the form of a profile of rectangular section.

[0060] In order to limit the difficulty, the central chassis 40C comprises sliding members 9 configured to allow effortless sliding of the second guide members 44 relative to the first guide members 43. Each sliding member 9 is made of a synthetic polymer material, in particular, a high-density polyethylene in order to allow optimal sliding. Each sliding member 9 is in the form of a single-piece added part, in particular, made by molding. High-density polyethylene, called HDPE, has excellent sliding properties and very good resistance to impacts and wear and tear while maintaining a low cost. Preferably, high-density polyethylene has a density between 0.93 and 0.97 g / cm3. It goes without saying that other materials could be used, such as PTFE (Teflon) or polyamides, the costs of which are significantly higher than HDPE.

[0061] In this first example of implementation, with reference to Figures 4 to 7, a sliding member 9 is mounted in each first guide member 43. The sliding member 9 is mounted at the mouth of the first guide member 43 which is hollow in order to internally guide the second guide member 44. Such positioning makes it possible to compensate for inclination defects during deployment / folding while limiting friction. A sliding member 9 is less restrictive to position than a rolling member whose rolling axis must be aligned with the second guide member 44 (the first axis X).

[0062] Preferably, with reference to [Fig. 7], the sliding member 9 is configured to guide a lower surface 44a of the second guide member 44. Such positioning is advantageous given that it makes it possible to eliminate all friction induced by gravity on the second guide member 44.

[0063] In this example, the sliding member 9 is fixed to the lower wall 430 of the first guide member 43. Preferably, the lower wall 430 of the first guide member 43 has a through opening 431 in which the sliding member 9 is mounted. The through opening 431 can have any shape and has reduced dimensions, preferably a section less than 260 mm2, given that it is intended only to index the position of the sliding member 9 relative to the first guide member 43. The mechanical strength of the first guide member 43 is advantageously not affected by the through opening 431. The sliding member 9 is mounted from the inside, which makes it possible to take up all the play.

[0064] Referring to Figures 8 and 9, the sliding member 9 comprises a guide body 91, defining a front guide surface 91A and a rear surface 91B opposite the front guide surface 91A, and a mounting member 92 fixed to the rear surface 91B. Preferably, the sliding member 9 is made by molding, which makes it possible to significantly reduce its cost. The front guide surface 91A forms a sliding surface and is between 800 and 1200 mm2, preferably between 1000 and 1200 mm2. This makes it possible to ensure sufficient sliding while allowing convenient mounting in guide members.

[0065] The mounting member 92 is configured to cooperate by complementary shapes with the through opening 431. In this example, the mounting member 92 has a square shape to correspond to the square shape of the through opening 431. Such a shape is simple to machine.

[0066] The front guide surface 91A is configured to come into contact with the second guide member 44. Its thickness can be easily adjusted to adjust all manufacturing clearances and allow smooth sliding.

[0067] In this example, with reference to [Fig.7], the first guide member 43 comprises an upper wall 432 comprising a through opening 433 allowing the mounting of an additional sliding member 9, preferably, which is vertically aligned with that mounted in the through opening 431 of the lower wall 430.

[0068] In this first example of implementation, a sliding member 9 is provided for each second guide member 44 but it goes without saying that only a portion of the second guide members 44 could be equipped with a sliding member 9. Due to the reduced cost of a sliding member 9, each second guide member 44 is guided by at least one sliding member 9.

[0069] Furthermore, a sliding member 9 has been presented in the low position to guide the lower surface 44a of the second guide member 44 but it goes without saying that other positions could be suitable, in particular, a high position or a lateral position.

[0070] Preferably, several sliding members are provided for each second guide member 44 so as to provide several complementary types of guidance. With reference to [Fig. 7], two sliding members 9, 9' are shown positioned respectively in the low position and in the high position to allow optimal vertical guidance during deployment / folding of the second guide member 44. An upper and lower guide makes it possible to limit any vertical movement and reduce any friction.

[0071] In this example, the second guide member 44 comprises an upper wall 44b in which a through opening 441 is formed opening onto the first guide member 43. The second sliding member 9' is mounted in the through opening 441. Preferably, the through openings 431, 441 have the same shape so as to be able to mount the same type of sliding member 9, 9'.

[0072] Preferably, the second through opening 441 is positioned at one end of the second guide member 44, preferably an inner end positioned under the circulation plate 4 of the central chassis 40C, so as to support it during its extension.

[0073] The two sliding members 9, 9' are mounted at a distance, preferably in the lower outer position and in the upper inner position as illustrated in [Fig.7] so as to support the weight of the right side frame 40D when it is extended. It goes without saying that the mounting could be different.

[0074] With reference to [Fig.4], the first guide member 73 of the support beam 70 has a lower surface 730 comprising two sliding members 9 in order to provide greater guidance assistance to compensate for the larger sliding surface compared to the guiding members of the chassis.

[0075] A method for adjusting the extension length of the right side frame 40D of the structure 3 will now be presented. The adjustment operation is carried out on the ground.

[0076] In this example, as illustrated in [Fig. 10], the right side frame 40D is initially not deployed and the horizontal cross member 45 is adjacent to the central frame 40C. To adjust the extension length of the right side frame 40D, an operator manually grasps the horizontal cross member 45 and moves it to the right to unfold the second guide members 44.

[0077] The second guide members 44 are driven effortlessly thanks to the sliding members 9 which are integrated into the first guide members 43 which eliminate all friction. Due to the performance of the sliding members 9, 9', any traditional assistance member is not necessary.

[0078] The second guide members 44 are driven simultaneously and the extension length is adjusted uniformly as shown in [Fig.l 1]. A floor is then placed on the side frame 40D. The support beam 70 is also deployed in a similar manner.

[0079] According to another example of implementation, with reference to [Fig. 12], it is sometimes desirable for the horizontal cross member 45 of the right side frame 40D to be inclined relative to the second axis Y, in particular by an angle ANG of 45° to 135°, in order to adapt to the constraints of the vertical construction wall on which the structure 3 is to be fixed. The operator manually moves the second guide members 44 in order to independently adjust their extension length. As the second guide members 44 are articulated to the horizontal cross member 45, this advantageously makes it possible to tilt the horizontal cross member 45 according to the desired angle of inclination ANG. Manual movement remains easy due to the presence of the sliding members 9, 9'.

[0080] Once the extension length adjustment is complete, the locking device is put in place to eliminate any sliding. The structure 3 can then be lifted using a crane and positioned on a vertical building wall to receive formwork hips whose length is adapted to the length of the structure 3.

[0081] Advantageously, due to the presence of the sliding members 9, 9', the adjustment of the extension length LE of a lateral frame 40D, 40G can be adjusted effortlessly by an operator, without tools, by simple manipulation. Advantageously, the foldable cantilevered working structure 3 is free of gear assistance members such as in the prior art which made the foldable cantilevered working structure 3 heavier and more complex.
