Description

Title of the invention: Motorized base for food preparation appliance Technical field of the invention

[0001] The present invention relates generally to food preparation appliances intended for preparing, and / or working, and / or cooking food. Such food preparation appliances typically comprise a motorized base with a drive motor, and a food preparation bowl to be reversibly coupled to the motorized base and comprising a working tool. State of the art

[0002] In the prior art of food preparation appliances, document EP 2 548 636 A1 is known, which discloses a food preparation appliance with a motorized base housing a drive motor, and a food preparation bowl to be reversibly coupled to the motorized base and comprising a working tool as well as a magnetic coupling device between the motorized base and the food preparation bowl. On the other hand, this system is typically complex, with in particular numerous moving parts in the motorized base, including the drive motor, which leads to an increase in the internal volume of the motorized base (because the movement strokes must be taken into account), as well as the complexity and cost of ensuring correct movement and / or guidance of all these internal organs. Presentation of the invention

[0003] An aim of the present invention is to address the drawbacks of the prior art mentioned above and in particular, first of all, to propose a food preparation appliance with a motorized base housing a drive motor, and a food preparation bowl to be reversibly coupled to said motorized base, the food preparation appliance being designed to be compact, and / or with less complex internal organs, and / or with simpler and / or fewer internal guides.

[0004] For this purpose, a first aspect of the invention relates to a motorized base for a food preparation appliance, the food preparation appliance comprising the motorized base and at least one food preparation bowl to be coupled to the motorized base and comprising a rotary member arranged to be driven in rotation by the motorized base, the motorized base comprising: - a housing, - drive means, with a drive motor, housed in the housing, - a base magnetic coupling portion, engaged with the drive motor to be driven in rotation, and movable relative to the housing and the drive motor, between a rest position and a coupling position in which the base magnetic coupling portion is provided to reversibly couple with a bowl magnetic coupling portion connected to the rotating member, - guide means, arranged to guide the base magnetic coupling part in its movement relative to the drive motor, - clutch means, arranged to move the base magnetic coupling part between the rest position and the coupling position, wherein the clutch means comprise at least one control part of the base magnetic coupling part arranged at least partly around the base magnetic coupling part. According to the above implementation, the control part at least partially surrounds the base magnetic coupling part, so that the overall height of the device is reduced, which improves the compactness. In addition, the base magnetic coupling part is provided to move relative to the housing and in particular relative to the drive motor, so that the latter can be provided static relative to the housing: the internal structure can be simplified, without large moving parts, which also contributes to the compactness of the food preparation appliance.

[0005] According to one embodiment, the control part can be arranged to impose on the base magnetic coupling part a displacement force, between the coupling position and the rest position, and parallel to a direction of movement of the base magnetic coupling part. The control part exerts a displacement force on the base magnetic coupling part parallel to the direction of movement: the kinematic chain is simple.

[0006] According to one embodiment, the control part can be movable in translation relative to the housing.

[0007] According to one embodiment, the clutch means may comprise at least one guide column fixed to the housing, and the control part may be mounted in sliding connection on said at least one guide column. Such guidance is robust and reliable, and furthermore, such a guide column may be housed at the same height as the total displacement, which guarantees good compactness. According to one embodiment, the guide column may pass through the control part.

[0008] According to one embodiment, the clutch means may comprise a motorized part engaged with the control part according to a helical connection. Such a connection makes it possible to efficiently transform a rotational movement of a clutch motor into a translational movement.

[0009] According to one embodiment, the motorized part may at least partially surround the control part, and may preferably form a motorized crown. Just as the control part may at least partially surround the base magnetic coupling part, the motorized part may at least partially surround the control part (and thus the base magnetic coupling part), so that the overall height of the device is reduced, which improves compactness.

[0010] According to one embodiment, the motorized part can be mounted in a pivot connection on the housing.

[0011] According to one embodiment, the clutch means may comprise a clutch actuator, such as a clutch motor, arranged to cause movement of the control part to move the base magnetic coupling portion between the rest position and the coupling position. The movement of the base magnetic coupling portion between the rest position and the coupling position may be automated and controlled according to the needs and use of the food preparation appliance.

[0012] According to one embodiment, the clutch actuator may comprise at least one motor pinion engaged with the motorized part. Provision may be made to adjust a reduction ratio to adapt the forces involved in the operation of the food preparation appliance.

[0013] According to one embodiment, the clutch means may comprise at least one end-of-travel sensor arranged to control a stop of the clutch actuator once the base magnetic coupling part has reached the rest position or the coupling position.

[0014] According to one embodiment, said at least one end-of-travel sensor can be fixed to the motorized part. In particular, it is possible to provide a sensor part (for example a detection target) embedded on the motorized part and another sensor part (for example a detection body) secured to or mounted on the housing.

[0015] According to one embodiment, the control part may be arranged to move the base magnetic coupling part from the coupling position to the rest position, and preferably the control part may be arranged to move the base magnetic coupling part only from the coupling position to the rest position. According to a preferred implementation, the control part may be arranged to move the base magnetic coupling part only from the coupling position to the rest position, so that it is a single-acting movement, which makes it possible to simplify the structure and the assemblies.

[0016] According to one embodiment, the clutch means may comprise elastic return means, arranged to exert an elastic force on the base magnetic coupling part to return it to the coupling position.

[0017] According to one embodiment, the base magnetic coupling portion may comprise at least a first coupling magnet, arranged at the periphery of the base magnetic coupling portion. The first coupling magnet, arranged at the periphery of the base magnetic coupling portion, provides a coupling that can transmit a high transmission torque.

[0018] According to one embodiment, the base magnetic coupling portion may comprise at least a first ring of magnetic material provided to channel a coupling magnetic flux of the base magnetic coupling portion. Such a ring makes it possible to concentrate the flux lines, which makes it possible to better use the material of the magnets and to more easily obtain a coupling which can transmit a high transmission torque.

[0019] According to one embodiment, the guide means may be formed by a sliding connection arranged between the base magnetic coupling part and the drive motor.

[0020] According to one embodiment, the guide means may comprise: - an output shaft of the drive motor or an output sleeve integral with the output shaft, comprising a splined end, - a grooved hub coupled with the splined end of the output shaft or output sleeve, and integral with the base magnetic coupling part. Such an arrangement typically has a good guidance ratio.

[0021] According to one embodiment, the housing may comprise a receiving interface, arranged to receive at least one type of culinary preparation bowl, and the receiving interface may be free and / or free of: - any opening leading to a moving drive part, and / or - any moving drive part, and / or - any movable drive protrusion. In other words, the receiving interface can be a flat and / or smooth surface, which facilitates cleaning and provides a nice visual appearance.

[0022] Alternatively, and according to one embodiment, the housing may comprise a receiving interface with means for centering the food preparation bowl on the motorized base. In particular, the centering means may comprise a centering boss, and / or a centering index, and / or a central protuberance, the food preparation bowl being able to comprise a female counterform for centering on the centering boss, and / or the centering index, and / or the central protuberance. A centering boss, and / or a centering index, and / or a central protuberance may be provided with a non-symmetrical shape (of revolution, i.e. not circular) to provide a rotation stop and / or angular indexing. A plurality of centering bosses, and / or centering indexes, and / or protrusions may be provided to provide a rotation stop. It is also possible to have all or part of the male shapes on the food preparation bowl rather than on the motorized base.

[0023] According to one embodiment, the motorized base may comprise stop means arranged between the housing and the base magnetic coupling part when the base magnetic coupling part is in the coupling position, and the stop means may preferably comprise at least one ball thrust bearing or one needle thrust bearing. The stop means make it possible to limit friction forces, which helps to provide a coupling with high efficiency.

[0024] According to one embodiment, the clutch means may be arranged to generate a clearance, preferably an axial clearance with reference to a direction of movement of the base magnetic coupling part, between the control part and the base magnetic coupling part when the base magnetic coupling part is in the coupling position. Such an axial clearance makes it possible to limit the friction forces, which contributes to providing a coupling with high efficiency.

[0025] According to one embodiment, the motorized base may comprise detection and / or identification means, arranged to detect and / or identify a food preparation bowl and / or a type of food preparation bowl coupled to the motorized base. Provision may be made to adapt the operation of the food preparation appliance as a function of the signal emitted by the detection and / or identification means. [0044] Other characteristics and advantages of the present invention will appear more clearly on reading the following detailed description of an embodiment of the invention given by way of non-limiting example and illustrated by the appended drawings, in which:

[0045] [Fig. 1] represents a general front view of a food preparation appliance comprising a motorized base and a food preparation bowl intended to be mounted on a receiving interface of the motorized base;

[0046] [Fig.2] shows a sectional view of the motorized base of the food preparation appliance of [Fig.l], with a base magnetic coupling portion in a rest position;

[0047] [Fig.3] shows a sectional view of the motorized base of [Fig.2], with the base magnetic coupling portion in a coupling position;

[0048] [Fig.4] represents a sectional view of the food preparation apparatus of [Fig.l] comprising the motorized base of [Fig.3], coupled with the food preparation bowl.

[0049] Detailed description of embodiment(s)

[0050] [Fig.l] represents a front view of a food preparation appliance 1 comprising a motorized base 2 and a food preparation bowl 3 designed to be reversibly coupled to a receiving interface 4 of the motorized base 2.

[0051] The motorized base 2 comprises a housing 10 with feet 14 and a human-machine interface 16 with, in the example shown, a display screen and control buttons. The reception interface 4 is formed in this example by the upper face of the motorized base 2, and is in this example in the form of a flat surface.

[0052] The food preparation bowl 3 is designed to receive food to be prepared and / or cooked. For this purpose, the food preparation bowl 3 typically comprises a working tool (which may or may not be removable), a cover (for example with a feed chute), gripping means (a handle), etc. The working tool may typically comprise a knife or a stirring blade, or a mixing blade, or a kneading blade, for cutting, chopping, stirring, mixing, pressing, kneading the food to be prepared received in the food preparation bowl 3. It may also be optionally provided that the food preparation bowl 3 can withstand the heat to cook the food to be prepared. Cooking means (resistance or induction heating) can be provided in the food preparation bowl 3 and / or in the motorized base 2.

[0053] As shown in [Fig.l], the food preparation bowl 3 is provided to couple with the motorized base 2 in a reversible manner, and to drive the working tool of the food preparation bowl 3 in movement, the food preparation appliance 1 provides a magnetic coupling device between a drive motor 21 of the motorized base 2 and the working tool of the food preparation bowl 3.

[0054] As shown in [Fig.2], the motorized base 2 comprises in particular: - the housing 10, - drive means 20, with the drive motor 21, housed in the housing 10, - a base magnetic coupling portion 30, engaged with the drive motor 21 to be driven in rotation, and movable relative to the housing 10 and the drive motor 21, between a rest position (see [Fig.2]) and a coupling position (see [Fig.3]) in which the base magnetic coupling portion 30 is provided to reversibly couple with a bowl magnetic coupling portion 60 connected to a rotary member 70, - guide means, arranged to guide the base magnetic coupling part 30 in its movement relative to the drive motor 21, - clutch means 40, arranged to move the base magnetic coupling part 30 between the rest position and the coupling position.

[0055] In detail, the housing 10 comprises a housing body 12 capped by an upper housing wall 11, internal ribs 13. The housing 10 is typically made of plastic, but metal parts (covers, metal inserts) can be provided, or even the housing body 12 can be made of metal, for example.

[0056] The drive means 20 comprise the drive motor 21 with an output shaft 22 supporting an output sleeve 23 secured to the output shaft 22 via, for example, splines and in particular a pin 25. The drive motor 21 is typically a permanent magnet motor, otherwise known as a brushless motor. Such a drive motor 21 is compact and has high performance, both in terms of torque and rotational speed.

[0057] The base magnetic coupling part 30 is engaged with the drive motor 21 via the output sleeve 23, and comprises in particular a movable support 32, which carries several first coupling magnets 31 and a first ring 33 made of magnetic material intended to channel a magnetic flux of the first coupling magnets 31. It can be noted that the first coupling magnets 31 are arranged on the periphery of the movable support 32, so as to be able to transmit a high transmission torque.

[0058] The guide means are arranged to guide the base magnetic coupling part 30 in its movement relative to the drive motor 21. For this purpose, it can be noted that the movable support 32 has grooves on its hub engaged with splines provided on the external diameter of the shaft formed by the output sleeve 23, this hub thus being grooved, so that the movable support 32 can slide vertically relative to the output sleeve 23 (and therefore relative to the drive motor 21 and to the housing 10), while being rotated by the drive motor 21. The base magnetic coupling part 30 also comprises stop means, a needle stop 34 in this example, to limit the movement of the base magnetic coupling part 30 upwards of the [Fig. 2] or 3 by bearing on the upper wall of the housing 11.

[0059] The clutch means 40, arranged to move the base magnetic coupling part 30 between the rest position and the coupling position, comprise at least: - a control part 41 provided for controlling the movement of the base magnetic coupling part 30, and comprising in particular a rim which covers the first crown 33, - guide columns 48 fixed to the housing 10, and mounted in sliding connection with the control part 41, - a motorized part 42 mounted in pivot connection on the housing 10 (via the ribs 13 and a stop 15 screwed onto the housing 10) and engaged with the control part 41 according to a helical connection, - a clutch motor 43 comprising a motor pinion 44 engaged with the motorized part 42, to cause a movement of the control part 41 to move the base magnetic coupling part 30 between the rest position and the coupling position, - elastic return means formed by compression springs 45 arranged between the output sleeve 23 and the movable support 32 and provided to exert a return force on the base magnetic coupling part 30 towards the coupling position, - end-of-travel sensors 46 mounted between the housing 10 (on a rib 13) and the motorized part 42, provided to cooperate with detection members 47 carried by the motorized part 42, the end-of-travel sensors 46 being arranged to control a stop of the clutch motor 43 once the base magnetic coupling part 30 has arrived in the rest position or in the coupling position.

[0060] As indicated above, the base magnetic coupling portion 30 may occupy a rest position, as shown [Fig.2], and a coupling position, as shown [Fig.3].

[0061] Indeed, starting from the rest position of [Fig. 2], the clutch motor 43 can be put into operation to drive the motorized part 42 in rotation. In doing so, due to the helical connection between the motorized part 42 and the control part 41, and due to the sliding connection between the guide columns 48 and the control part 41, the latter will move vertically upwards to reach the position occupied in [Fig. 3]. Simultaneously, the compression springs 45 push the movable support 32 which slides on the output sleeve 23, and which follows the movement of the control part 41 to position the base magnetic coupling part 30 in the coupling position as shown in [Fig. 3].

[0062] In the opposite direction, starting from the coupling position as shown in [Fig. 3], the clutch motor 43 can be operated to drive the motorized part 42 in rotation in a direction opposite to previously. In doing so, due to the helical connection between the motorized part 42 and the control part 41, and due to the sliding connection between the guide columns 48 and the control part 41, the latter will move vertically downwards to reach the position occupied in [Fig. 2]. During this movement, and despite the compression springs 45 which push the movable support 32 upwards, the control part 41 with its rim which covers the first crown 33, acts on the movable support 32 which can only slide on the output sleeve 23 to follow the movement of the control part 41 downwards in order to position the base magnetic coupling part 30 in the rest position as in [Fig.2].

[0063] With reference to [Fig. 1], it can be noted that: - when the base magnetic coupling part 30 occupies the rest position, the food preparation bowl 3 can be freely placed or removed from the receiving interface 4 of the motorized base 2, - when the base magnetic coupling part 30 occupies the coupling position, the food preparation bowl 3 cannot be freely removed from the receiving interface 4 of the motorized base 2.

[0064] [Fig.4] represents a sectional view of the food preparation appliance 1 of [Fig.1] comprising the motorized base 2 of [Fig.3], coupled with the food preparation bowl 3.

[0065] In particular, the culinary preparation bowl 3 comprises at least: - a bowl body 50, comprising in particular a working tank 51, a base 52 supporting the working tank 51 and a lower plate 53 to be coupled to the receiving interface 4 of the motorized base 2, - the rotating member 70 constituted in the example shown by a bimetallic knife 72 carried by a rotating shaft 71, - a magnetic bowl coupling part 60, linked to the rotary member 70 and comprising in particular a rotary support 62 embedded with the rotating shaft 71, second embedded coupling magnets 61, an embedded needle thrust bearing 63, and a second crown 64 made of magnetic material intended to channel a magnetic flux of the second embedded coupling magnets 61. It can be noted that the second embedded coupling magnets 61 are arranged on the periphery of the rotary support 62, so as to be able to transmit a high transmission torque.

[0066] The bowl magnetic coupling portion 60 and the rotary member 70 are pivotally mounted relative to the working tank 51, and the rotary support 62 is in axial abutment with the lower plate 53 by means of the on-board needle thrust bearing 63.

[0067] As shown in [Fig. 4], the base magnetic coupling portion 30 occupies the coupling position, and is arranged opposite the bowl magnetic coupling portion 60 of the food preparation bowl 3 placed on the receiving interface 4 of the motorized base 2. In this configuration of [Fig. 4], the base magnetic coupling portion 30 is coupled with the bowl magnetic coupling portion 60 and the drive motor 21 can rotate the rotary member 70 in a reliable and robust manner. It can be noted that there is a clearance between the rim of the control part 41 and the first ring 33 to avoid any untimely wear or friction.

[0068] It may also be noted that the base magnetic coupling part 30 coupled with the bowl magnetic coupling part 60 helps to position the food preparation bowl 3 on the motorized base 2 autonomously and sufficiently, so that it is not necessary to provide a centering or indexing device in relief. The receiving interface 4 may therefore be a flat surface free of any raised element. Of course, it is not excluded to provide such raised elements, for example to provide a rotation stop, or even to provide positioning assistance for the user...

[0069] As seen above, in the configuration of [Fig.4], to remove the food preparation bowl 3 from the motorized base 2, it is sufficient to control the clutch motor 43 to set the motorized part 42 in rotation and force the descent of the control part 41 and therefore of the base magnetic coupling part 30 to move it to the rest position of [Fig.2].

[0070] Provision may be made to control the movement of the base magnetic coupling part 30 between the rest position ([Fig.2]) and the coupling position ([Fig.3] or 4) with the drive motor 21 stopped to limit the friction between the control part 41 and the first ring 33. However, provision may be made to have a movement of the base magnetic coupling part 30 between the rest position ([Fig.2]) and the coupling position ([Fig.3] or 4) with the drive motor 21 in operation, for example in particular situations (such as at low speed), or by providing contact between the control part 41 and the first ring 33 resistant to friction (materials with a low coefficient of friction, or even a needle thrust bearing for example) between these two parts. Industrial application

[0071] A food preparation appliance according to the present invention, and its manufacture, are capable of industrial application.

[0072] It will be understood that various modifications and / or improvements obvious to those skilled in the art can be made to the various embodiments of the invention described in the present description without departing from the scope of the invention.
