AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

The construction of buried walls using reinforced concrete panels is prone to excavation collapse, leading to structural defects, increased concrete consumption, high costs, and safety risks for workers, while the use of bentonite mud affects adhesion and requires significant water and wastewater management.

Method used

A method involving prefabricated concrete bricks with longitudinal channels and auger sections is used to form excavations by drilling and driving the bricks into place, reducing the need for bentonite mud and allowing for quicker, safer construction of walls with reduced concrete usage.

Benefits of technology

This method minimizes excavation collapse risks, eliminates structural defects, and decreases concrete consumption, while ensuring safer working conditions and lower costs by simplifying the construction process.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for constructing a buried structure (20), the method comprising steps of: providing a prefabricated brick B2) comprising a longitudinal through channel (11, 12) in which is engaged a worm section comprising a lower end equipped with a retractable drilling head configured to have a retracted position in which the drilling head with the worm section can slide in the channel; and rotating the drilling head into an extended position about an axis of rotation, in order to form an excavation and to drive the brick into the excavation as it is formed, the excavation having a section in a first plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation, determined by the width of the extended drilling head, the brick having a section in the first plane, inscribed in the section of the excavation.
