Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Luminous device for a motor vehicle Technical field
[0001] The present invention relates to luminous devices for motor vehicles. More specifically, the invention relates to luminous devices comprising a housing, a closing glass and a mask integrated into the housing. Prior art
[0002] A motor vehicle lighting device conventionally comprises, inside a housing closed by a glass, a light source mounted in a light module, and various wiring and structural elements for implementing the source in the light module. In order to avoid presenting these internal components to the view of an outside observer, headlight manufacturers usually integrate one or more masks inside the housing whose main function is aesthetic.
[0003] A frequently encountered problem is the formation of fog on the inner surface of the closing glass of the lighting device such as a vehicle headlight or taillight. This natural phenomenon is often perceived by the consumer as a sign of poor quality. Condensation occurs when water vapor condenses into tiny water droplets that are suspended in the air. In a vehicle lighting device, the droplets condense on the inner surface of the closing glass, which generates a light diffusion effect. This can affect the proper transmission of light through the closing glass, and therefore does not meet regulatory requirements. And it could dazzle other users. In addition, with the recent use of LED lamps instead of halogen lamps or other lamps that release a large amount of heat, the fog will no longer disappear when turning on the lighting device.LEDs produce little heat towards the closing glass, which does not allow the evaporation of water droplets.
[0004] To limit the phenomenon of condensation observed visible in a case closed by a closing glass, it is possible to use a varnish applied to the closing glass which will prevent the deposition of water droplets. This process complicates the manufacturing steps and increases the cost. This solution is not sustainable or ecological. The effectiveness of the coating deteriorates over time. It would therefore be necessary to renew it periodically. Forced air circulation can also be ensured using a fan integrated into the internal space of the case of the lighting device, but this solution has a certain bulkiness not always adapted to the configuration of the light device, particularly in the case of rear signal lights. Summary of the invention
[0005] The aim of the invention is to propose an alternative solution to known solutions in order to reduce the phenomenon of condensation observable on the closing glass of a lighting device which is economically competitive and which makes it possible to preserve the compactness of the lighting devices.
[0006] In this respect, the invention relates to a motor vehicle lighting device, comprising at least one light module provided with at least one light source and at least one style mask housed in a housing closed by a closing glass. The closing glass is smoked and the mask is made, partially or totally, of a material permeable to light waves in the infrared radiation ranges.
[0007] Surprisingly, we have found that the combined use of the smoked closing glass and the style mask made of black material transparent to light waves in the infrared makes it possible to effectively reduce the phenomenon of condensation in the luminous devices comprising a dark mask, without resorting to a varnish or forced ventilation.
[0008] According to another characteristic, the smoked closing glass has a light transmission coefficient of 30 to 87% and preferably of 60 to 80%.
[0009] According to another characteristic, the closing glass is made of a smoked material tinted gray, black, pink or red by the addition of pigment.
[0010] According to another characteristic, the closing glass is made of polycarbonate or translucent polycarbonate matrix or polymethyl methacrylate, tinted black or red.
[0011] According to another characteristic, the mask has an infrared wave transmission coefficient of 50 to 90% and preferably of 75 to 90%.
[0012] According to another characteristic, the style mask is made of a synthetic polymer black material transparent to infrared, preferably a material made of a polycarbonate matrix or a tinted acrylonitrile butadiene styrene matrix.
[0013] According to another characteristic, the style mask is made of polycarbonate material with a perinone type additive.
[0014] According to another characteristic, the style mask is interposed between the closing glass and the bottom of the case.
[0015] According to another characteristic, the style mask has a thickness of 2 millimeters to 3 millimeters.
[0016] According to another characteristic, the light sources are electro-diodes luminescent or OLED.
[0017] According to another characteristic, the closing glass has a thickness of 1.5 millimeters to 5 millimeters and preferably 2 to 3 mm. Brief description of the drawings

[0027] The present application aims to solve the problem of condensation formation on lighting devices, and more particularly to determine how to rectify the condensation problem and prevent any performance problems of the lighting device. Furthermore, condensation formation on the lighting device is aesthetically unappealing and may also affect the style factor; the present invention also aims to solve this problem by improving the aesthetic appeal of the lighting device.
[0028] [Fig. 1] illustrates a lighting device 20 according to one embodiment of the invention. The lighting device 20 is integrated into a motor vehicle, an element 10 of which is shown in [Fig. 1]. The element 10 of the vehicle may be, for example, a part of the bodywork of the vehicle. In particular, the lighting device 20 is a rear lighting device, that is to say it is arranged at the rear of the vehicle. The lighting device may be, for example, integrated into a left rear wing, a right rear wing or even a trunk door of the vehicle. The lighting device is capable of producing and emitting light rays towards the rear of the vehicle so as to make the vehicle clearly visible to motorists positioned behind the vehicle, but also so as to transmit information to these motorists.
[0029] Motor vehicles are generally equipped with a right-side lighting device and a left-side lighting device. The lighting devices are placed symmetrically with respect to each other and operate synchronously to produce the overall beam pattern or beam output. [Fig.l] shows a motor vehicle part 10 comprising a device light 20 mounted on the vehicle. For ease of understanding, the present invention is explained with respect to a single light device. It should be understood that the invention is applicable both to the light device and to other lighting functions of the motor vehicle such as the tail light, the direction indicator light, the fog light, etc.
[0030] The lighting device 20 comprises a housing 1 inside which the various components of the lighting device 20 are arranged, such as light sources, optical elements such as reflectors or closing glasses, electrical wires, printed circuit boards, among others. These components are usual in lighting devices for motor vehicles. The housing 1, in addition to serving as a support structure, also protects the components of the lighting device 20 from environmental factors such as water and dust. The lighting device 20 is equipped with at least one light source 5 configured to emit a light beam. The at least one light source 5 is configured to produce a light beam pattern to illuminate the path in front of the motor vehicle.A closing glass 3 is arranged on the housing 1 and is configured to allow at least part of the light beam emitted by the light source to pass through the closing glass 3. The closing glass 3 is arranged on the housing 1 and is configured to close the light device 20. Furthermore, the closing glass 3 is arranged facing the at least one light source 5 so that the light emitted by the at least one light source 5 can pass through the closing glass 3.
[0031] In one embodiment of the present invention, the closure glass is made by molding. Molding the closure glass can allow for highly efficient and rapid production. In addition, the method can allow for design flexibility to produce complex shapes.
[0032] In one embodiment of the present invention, the closing glass is made of a smoked material. A smoked material is a gray, black, pink or red colored material having a light transmission rate of 50 to 90%. Among the suitable materials available, we could for example use a smoked polycarbonate of the LEXAN brand or polymethyl methacrylate of the PLEXIGLAS brand, in particular the following references:
[0033] PLEXIGLAS® 8N 7V268, PLEXIGLAS® 8N 7V271.
[0034] In one embodiment of the present invention, the at least one light source is a light emitting diode or an OLED.
[0035] In one embodiment of the present invention, the light device is a vehicle headlight or taillight.
[0036] According to the invention, the mask 7 uses a material which could be made of polymethyl methacrylate opaque to visible light but permeable to light waves. miners in the infrared radiation ranges of the Perspex brand reference 962.
[0037] Polymers used as translucent polymers for the manufacture of the mask are also listed below:
[0038] • Lexan polycarbonate (General Electric) or Makrolon (Bayer)
[0039] • Makrolon 1260 polycarbonate (Bayer)
[0040] • polycarbonate copolymer Apec 9354 or Apec 9339 / 5 (Bayer)
[0041] • polyamide 6 Durethan B (Bayer)
[0042] The above-mentioned translucent polymers are colored in the mass with perinone with color index CI 564120 at a concentration of 0.05% to 1% and with anthracinone with color index CI 61565 at a concentration of 0.05% to 1%. In a preferred embodiment, the dyes are used with the concentration of perinone from 0.08% to 0.25% and anthraquinone from 0.08% to 0.25%.
[0043] Different colors can be used to color the "Makrolon" material. For dark or black coloring, the following colors can be used: RAL 9004, RAL 9005, RAL 9011, RAL 9017, RAL 9021, RAL 8022, RAL 7026, RAL 7024, RAL 7022, RAL 7021, RAL 7016, RAL 6022, RAL 6020, RAL 6015, RAL 6012, RAL 6009, RAL 6008, RAL 6007, RAL 5011, RAL 5004 and RAL 3007.
[0044] We compared a lighting device comprising a smoked closing glass and a dark mask of material permeable to light waves in the infrared radiation ranges and a lighting device comprising a completely transparent closing glass and a dark mask of material impermeable to light waves in the infrared radiation ranges. The end result is that we observe a lower frequency of fogging on the inner face of the smoked closing glass compared to the transparent closing glass.
