Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Windshield washer reservoir for motor vehicles. technical field
[0001] The present invention relates to a windshield washer reservoir for a motor vehicle and the motor vehicle comprising it. State of the art
[0002] The engine compartment of modern motor vehicles is often filled with various components and the volume being constrained, designers must think about the organization of these components so that they fit within the allotted volume while respecting rules of operation and accessibility.
[0003] One of the components is the reservoir containing the windshield washer fluid intended to clean the vehicle's windshield. It must have a reasonable capacity so as not to require the user to refill it too frequently, and therefore it occupies a significant volume.
[0004] There is therefore a real need for a windshield washer reservoir that can be placed in the front compartment of the vehicle without interfering with the installation of other components. Description of the invention
[0005] To resolve one or more of the aforementioned drawbacks, according to a first embodiment, a motor vehicle windshield washer reservoir includes a reservoir body adapted to contain windshield washer fluid, fixing elements adapted to fix it between the fender support of the right front wheel and the right front bumper and a fixing support for a vehicle acoustic warning system.
[0006] Integrating the acoustic warning system with the tank advantageously allows the tank to be installed in front of the right front fender and thus optimizes space.
[0007] Specific features or embodiments, usable alone or in combination, are: • The mounting bracket includes two mounting points; • It includes a U-shaped recessed section to house the vehicle's acoustic warning system; • It includes a common electrical control harness connector for the fuel tank and the vehicle's audible warning system; and / or • It includes a filler neck adapted to exit under the hood of the vehicle when the tank is installed.
[0008] In a second embodiment, a motor vehicle includes a tank as described above. Brief description of the figures
[0009] The invention will be better understood upon reading the following description, given solely by way of example, and with reference to the figures in the appendix in which: • [Fig.1] represents a perspective view of the front right of a motor vehicle according to one embodiment; • [Fig.2] represents a detailed view of the reservoir of [Fig.1]; • [Fig. 3] shows a detailed view of the acoustic warning system of the [Fig. 1] ; and • [Fig. 4] shows a detailed view of the tank and the warning system acoustics of the assembled [Fig.1]. Methods of implementation
[0010] The embodiments presented below refer to a motor vehicle, a car, but can be adapted to any type of vehicle.
[0011] Position terms such as "top", "bottom", "outside", "inside" refer to positions relative to the vehicle and therefore, for a part, to its position once mounted in the vehicle.
[0012] In the figures, a reference denotes the same object or a similar object.
[0013] Figure 1 represents a perspective view of the front right of a vehicle at Vehicle 1 according to one embodiment. The bodywork elements of vehicle 1 are not shown to illustrate the cutaway view of the vehicle. Only the elements important for understanding are referenced in this figure.
[0014] A windshield washer reservoir 3 is installed in the front right of the vehicle between the mudguard support 5 of the front right wheel and the front bumper support 7.
[0015] Fastening elements (not shown) hold it in this position.
[0016] An Acoustic Vehicle Alert System (AVAS) 9 is attached to the tank 3 by two mounting brackets 11, 13. The AVAS 9 is designed to warn pedestrians when the driver engages reverse gear or travels below 20 km / h. This type of device is specific to electric vehicles, which are particularly quiet compared to other types of vehicles.
[0017] Figure 2 shows the reservoir 3 before assembly with the acoustic warning system 9. The reservoir 3 comprises a body 21 containing the windshield washer fluid and a filler neck 23. The location of the reservoir 3 is such that it is not directly accessible for filling. The neck 23 raises the reservoir inlet under the hood so that this inlet is accessible to the user. when he opens the hood.
[0018] The tank 3 also includes 2 receiving fixings in the form of screw barrels 25, 27 made of plastic on each side of a substantially U-shaped recess. These screw barrels are intended to allow the acoustic warning system 9 to be fixed to the tank 3 by means of screws made of soft material.
[0019] It includes an electrical connector 29 adapted to fit into an electrical control connector of the acoustic warning system.
[0020] The acoustic warning system 9 is shown in [Fig.3]. It comprises a substantially parallelepiped-shaped body 31 with two mounting tabs 11, 13 pierced with two holes 37, 39. The acoustic warning system 9 also includes an electrical connector 41 for receiving power and commands from the vehicle's central harness.
[0021] Figure 4 shows the tank 4 assembled with the acoustic warning system 9. The system 9 is positioned in the U-shaped recess and is fixed to the tank by two soft-material screws (not shown) which pass through holes 37, 39 in the mounting tabs 11, 13 to screw into the screw holes 25, 27. The connector 41 of the system is plugged into the electrical connector 29 of the tank. Thus, only one electrical harness, combining the power supply and controls for the tank and the system 9, is required.
[0022] The invention has been illustrated and described in detail in the drawings and the preceding description. This description is to be considered illustrative and given by way of example and not as limiting the invention to this single description. Numerous embodiments are possible.
[0023] The detailed shape of the tank may differ from the representation in the figures in order to adapt to the configuration of each vehicle.
