[0001] The present invention relates to a device for detecting water entering a burial vault. The alarm system, placed outside the vault, is activated by a float system, located inside the vault, when the water reaches approximately 10 cm, thus allowing time to anticipate and plan for pumping inside the vault before any of the coffins inside are damaged.
