Description
Title of the invention: DEVICE FOR TRANSPORTING SKIS AND SKI EQUIPMENT WHICH CAN BE INSTALLED IN A TRAIN CAR Technical field
[0001] The present invention relates to a device for transporting skis and ski equipment which can be installed in a train carriage.
[0002] Today, the passion for ski sports activities, such as skiing but also snowboarding or cross-country skiing, concerns more and more people.
[0003] However, as is well known, mountain locations capable of enabling such activities are not easily accessible to everyone.
[0004] In fact, long journeys are often necessary and are generally complicated and expensive.
[0005] Today, there is a growing need to provide enthusiasts with public transport, such as trains, which can transport a large number of people to these ski destinations, even from quite distant locations.
[0006] This circumstance means that it is also very important to be able to guarantee these people the possibility of taking with them the necessary equipment, such as ski boots, skis, snowboard and poles.
[0007] To date, public means of transport, such as trains, offer devices for transporting ski equipment, such as, for example, luggage racks designed to allow the transport of luggage or bags containing ski boots.
[0008] The known solutions represent a good solution but also have significant drawbacks.
[0009] A first disadvantage of the known devices lies in the fact that they often do not guarantee rapid installation of these inside the carriages of a train.
[0010] Indeed, these luggage racks are often made up of single bodies or welded components which do not allow for rapid disassembly / assembly operations.
[0011] Another significant disadvantage of the known devices is that they generally do not include adequate means for securely holding skis or snowboards.
[0012] Indeed, these objects are particularly delicate and expensive and, sometimes, even small shocks can compromise, or even worsen, their functioning.
[0013] The aim of the present invention is therefore to propose a device for transporting skis and ski equipment which can be installed in a train carriage and which is capable of overcoming the drawbacks of the state of the art.
[0014] Another object of the present invention is to provide a device for transporting skis and ski equipment which can be installed in a train carriage and which can guarantee high modularity and allow practical and rapid installation of the components inside a train carriage.
[0015] Another object of the present invention is to provide a device for transporting skis and ski equipment which can be installed in a train carriage and which can guarantee rapid replacement of the components in the event of their deterioration.
[0016] Another object of the present invention is to propose a device for transporting skis and ski equipment which can be installed in a train carriage and which is capable of guaranteeing safe transport of such ski equipment, so as to preserve both the condition of the equipment itself and that of the people in the surrounding area (for example, the on-board staff or passengers who could collide with this equipment if it is not correctly fixed and held in place).
[0017] According to the present invention, at least one of these and other aims is achieved by a device for transporting skis and ski equipment which can be installed in a train carriage comprising:

[0043] - [Fig.5] illustrates a schematic side view of the ski transport device and ski equipment that can be installed in a train car shown in [Fig.l].
[0044] With reference to the attached figures, reference numeral 1 denotes a device for transporting skis and ski equipment which can be installed in a train carriage, also referred to further in the disclosure only as device 1.
[0045] Ski equipment means, for example, ski boots, poles, goggles, helmets and / or alternatives to skis such as, for example, a snowboard or cross-country skis.
[0046] The device 1 which is the subject of the present invention comprises a support frame 2.
[0047] With reference to the attached [Fig.l], the support frame 2 comprises a vertical portion 21 which can be fixed to a side wall PI of the wagon, and a horizontal part 22 which can be fixed to the floor P2 of the wagon itself.
[0048] The device 1 which is the subject of the present invention comprises first means 31 for fixing the vertical part 21 to the side wall PI, and second means 32 for fixing the horizontal part 22 to the ground P2.
[0049] Advantageously, these first 31 and second 32 fixing means are of the threaded type.
[0050] Advantageously, the first fixing means 31 are configured to fix the vertical part 21 to the wall PI at two different heights.
[0051] Advantageously, the horizontal part 22 and the vertical part 21 of the chassis 2 are removable.
[0052] This makes it possible to simplify the operations of dismantling / assembling the device 1 inside the wagon, which makes it easier to move it into / out of the wagon.
[0053] The device 1 which is the subject of the present invention comprises a shelf 4 intended to support and retain the aforementioned ski equipment.
[0054] The shelf 4 comprises a plurality of interstices 42 obtained on the shelf 4 itself.
[0055] These gaps 42 are configured to retain pairs of skis.
[0056] It is clear that these gaps can also be used to hold snowboards.
[0057] Each of the gaps 42 comprises at least one slot 421 configured to retain a pair of skis.
[0058] According to the embodiment illustrated in [Fig.l], the shelf 4 comprises six interstices 42 and each interstice 42 comprises three slots 421 for holding three pairs of skis (or, alternatively, for holding a snowboard).
[0059] Advantageously, the interstices 42 have two lateral edges 422.
[0060] Advantageously, the device 1 which is the subject of the present invention comprises a plurality of pairs of perimeter portions 7 made of elastomer obtained on the respective edges 422 of the interstices 42.
[0061] Each pair of elastomer perimeter portions 7 is configured to face a central axis of the gaps 42.
[0062] In substance, each gap 42 is obtained between a pair of lateral edges 422 and, on each pair of lateral edges 422, a respective pair of elastomer perimeter portions 7 is fixed.
[0063] Advantageously, each of the perimeter portions 7 made of elastomer comprises protrusions 71 developing towards the aforementioned central axis of the interstices 42 so as to define the slots 421 and to prevent the pairs of skis from moving transversely to a direction D of travel of the train.
[0064] The presence of these protrusions also makes it possible, in embodiments in which the gaps 42 comprise two or more slots, to avoid contact between adjacent pairs of skis, thus avoiding other possible risk factors of damage to the skis themselves.
[0065] In essence, in use, the pairs of skis are inserted transversely into the slots 421 and deform the perimeter portions 7 so as to be retained by them.
[0066] Advantageously, these skis (or snowboards) can be inserted into the slots 421 even when they are fitted with their own carrying bag.
[0067] Advantageously, the perimeter portions 7 made of elastomer are produced by molding.
[0068] Alternatively, the perimeter portions 7 made of elastomer are produced by extrusion.
[0069] These elastomer perimeter portions 7 are therefore made of a flexible, deformable material capable of adapting to the shape of the pairs of skis.
[0070] With reference to the attached [Fig.4], the aforementioned edges 422 comprise respective channels 423 for the insertion and retention of the elastomer perimeter portions 7.
[0071] Advantageously, the elastomer perimeter portions 7 comprise respective locking sections 72 which develop towards the inside of the aforementioned edges 422 and are configured to engage with them, preventing any movement of the portions 7 along the direction D of travel.
[0072] Furthermore, advantageously, the locking sections 72 and the edges 422 are shaped so as to establish a dovetail type fit.
[0073] Advantageously, the edges 422 comprise an element 424 for transversely blocking the elastomer perimeter portions 7 to prevent these portions 7 from moving transversely relative to the direction D of travel of the train.
[0074] With reference to the attached [Fig.4], advantageously, the device 1 which is the subject of the present invention comprises threaded fixing means 425 making it possible to removably fix the locking element 424 on the shelf 4.
[0075] In use, essentially, the elastomer perimeter portion 7 is inserted by sliding into the insertion channel 423 and locked thereon relative to the walking direction D, then the element 424 is fixed to prevent its movement also relative to the direction transverse to the walking direction D.
[0076] This characteristic of being able to easily disassemble and assemble the elastomer perimeter portions 7 on the edges 422 makes it possible to easily replace them if they are damaged.
[0077] This makes it possible to further optimize the securing of the skis or snowboards retained on the device 1.
[0078] Advantageously, with reference to the attached [Fig.l], the shelf 4 comprises a first support zone 41 for placing the ski equipment.
[0079] This first support zone 41 is interposed between the plurality of gaps 42 and the vertical part 21 of the chassis 2.
[0080] In use, the ski equipment is therefore contained safely between the pairs of skis and the vertical part 21 of the chassis 2.
[0081] The device 1 which is the subject of the present invention comprises means 5 for reinforcing the maintenance of the shelf 4 along a vertical direction.
[0082] Advantageously, with reference to the attached [Fig.5], these reinforcement means 5 comprise a plurality of support elements 51 produced under the shelf 4 and configured to unload the weights onto the vertical part 21 of the chassis 2 and in particular onto the side wall PI of the wagon.
[0083] Advantageously, these reinforcement means 5 also comprise a pair of uprights 52 fixed to the shelf 4 and configured so as to discharge the weights onto the horizontal part 22 of the chassis 2 and in particular to the ground.
[0084] The device 1 which is the subject of the present invention comprises a support plane 6 arranged close to the horizontal part 22 and intended to allow vertical support for the pairs of skis.
[0085] Advantageously, this support plane 6 is made of rubber or elastomer material so as to allow secure support of the skis.
[0086] The device 1 which is the subject of the present invention is of the modular type and therefore removable.
[0087] This facilitates installation inside the wagon and simplifies, for example, the passage of components through the train doors.
[0088] With reference to the attached [Fig. 1], the support plane 6 comprises a second support zone 61 for placing the ski equipment.
[0089] This second support zone 61 is interposed between the pairs of skis and the vertical part 21 of the chassis 2.
[0090] Advantageously, the shelf 4 has an inclination of between 80° and 85° relative to the vertical part 21.
[0091] Advantageously, the shelf 4 has an inclination of approximately 85° relative to the vertical part 21.
[0092] This inclination is for example clearly visible in the attached [Fig.5].
[0093] The device 1 according to the present invention solves the drawbacks of the state of the art and provides significant advantages.
[0094] A first advantage of the device 1 which is the subject of the present invention is that it guarantees practical and safe transport of ski equipment for long trips.
[0095] Another advantage of the device 1 which is the subject of the present invention is that it guarantees practical and rapid installation inside the train.
[0096] Another advantage of the device 1 which is the subject of the present invention is that it guarantees simple and rapid replacement of the components (for example the perimeter portions 7 made of elastomer) in the event of damage to them.
