Description

Title of the invention: Wiping device comprising a combined part with a holding element and a wiping lip FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to a wiping device, in particular for a motor vehicle, comprising a combined part composed of a holding element and a wiping lip. The wiping device is also called a windshield wiper device.

[0002] The invention applies particularly to the field of passenger vehicles and heavy goods vehicles. STATE OF THE ART

[0003] According to document DE 10 2004 058 511 A1, a flat windscreen wiper is known. This windscreen wiper has a wiping blade without a bracket.

[0004] DISCLOSURE AND ADVANTAGES OF THE INVENTION

[0005] The present invention relates to a wiping device, in particular for a motor vehicle, having at least one holding element and a wiping lip extending in a longitudinal direction, this device being characterized by

[0006] - a combined part extending along the longitudinal extension and comprising the holding element and the wiping lip,

[0007] - at least one part connected to the holding element of the combined part,

[0008] - the combined part has at least one recess, and

[0009] - at least one part is locked on the combined part by at least one recess of the combined room.

[0010] The wiping device according to the invention has the advantage of better construction and better operation than the devices of the prior art. Its construction is simpler; it allows the wiping lip to be replaced simply and provides better fixation of the wiping lip. In addition, its modular construction allows manufacturing with numerous construction variants by modifying only individual parts.

[0011] According to an advantageous feature, at least one recess is provided in the holding element of the combined part, which provides the holding element with advanced functionality. The holding element makes it possible to guide the part along the longitudinal extension and at the same time, to block by the recess, which blocks the sliding of the part along the longitudinal extension.

[0012] Advantageously, the holding element of the combined part has a rim extending along the longitudinal extension with a recess in the rim. This allows for simple implementation. This allows a certain distance to be maintained from the wiper lip to avoid damaging the wiper lip when locking. There is sufficient clearance for the elastic deformation of the wiper lip.

[0013] According to another advantageous feature, the holding element of the combined part has at least one rim on the side of the holding element which is opposite the wiping lip of the combined part and in that at least one recess is provided in the blade. This allows locking in one embodiment, independently of the holding rim. Furthermore, a mechanism for locking can be provided if necessary on the holding element. The holding element can thus, if necessary, deform locally and allow a part to be hooked into the recess of the rim.

[0014] According to an advantageous characteristic, at least one part is in the form of a fixing adapter. According to a preferred development, the fixing adapter locks onto the rim, which allows an advantageous embodiment.

[0015] According to another feature, the holding element of the combined part comprises on at least one long side, a rim in the form of a holding rim and at least one recess is provided in the holding rim. This holding rim can advantageously serve for guidance along the longitudinal extension.

[0016] According to an advantageous characteristic, the part has a hooking element, elastically deformable and, which by its elastic deformation, makes it possible to guide the elastically deformable hooking element in a recess of a holding rim on the large side of the holding element. There is thus a locking mechanism on the part in particular by the shape, for example, the hooking by a certain local deformation of the part.

[0017] Advantageously, at least one part is in the form of an end cap, which makes it possible to advantageously fix in particular two end caps.

[0018] Advantageously, the holding element of the combined part has a holding rim on at least one long side and in that at least one part has at least one U-shaped guide which surrounds the holding rim on the long side, which provides a robust and strong construction.

[0019] Advantageously, the holding element of the combined part on a first long side is a first holding flange, and on the second long side, opposite the first long side, a second holding flange, at least one part has a first U-shaped guide and a second U-shaped guide, the first U-shaped guide coming onto the first holding flange and the second U-shaped guide coming onto the second holding flange. This thus allows a stable construction which guarantees operation over the entire service life.

[0020] Advantageously, the holding element has at least one U-shaped frame, elastically deformable and whose elastic deformation makes it possible to guide the relief of the part in the recess of a rim connected to the U-shaped frame. It is also possible to have several reliefs on the holding element and which, in the installed state, engage, if necessary, in the two U-shaped frames. Thus, there is a U-shaped guide in a mechanism for connecting, in particular, hanging, which guarantees advanced functionality.

[0021] Advantageously, a backrest blade which, in the installed state, has at least one long side for the U-shaped frame and prevents any elastic deformation of the U-shaped frame, which ensures, depending on the longitudinal extension, a connection which acts by the form against the release. Thus, the installed backrest blade guarantees the rigidity of the wiping device and, at the same time, secures the connection by the form. This achieves advanced functionality while reducing the mounting means and the number of parts.

[0022] Furthermore, depending on the embodiment and application, the following characteristics and advantages may be provided:

[0023] Advantageously, the combined part is at least practically in a single part and / or at least practically in a single material, which reduces the cost of the combined part, integrated in its manufacture. The integrated part can also be installed simply.

[0024] According to an advantageous characteristic, the combined part is an extruded combined part, which is an advantageous and economical manufacture.

[0025] According to one feature, the holding element of the combined part is at least practically made of a hard material and the wiping lip is at least practically made of a softer material, the harder material having a higher strength than the soft material. It is thus possible to have advantageous pairs of materials in a single part. This makes it possible to target the combination of high stability and optimized wiping performance. This simplifies assembly by reducing the number of separate parts to be assembled.

[0026] Advantageously, the combined part is an extruded combined part, which makes it possible to combine several materials advantageously to obtain a single part.

[0027] According to one feature, the holding element of the combined part surrounds at least one backrest blade on at least one long side, in particular on both long sides. This allows for reliable fixing. In particular, the holding element makes it possible to surround the backrest blade practically over the entire longitudinal extension of one long side or both long sides. This increases stability accordingly.

[0028] The wiping device is made so that the backrest blade provided does not necessarily have one or more recesses for blocking or fixing the parts. The backrest blade is preferably made without recesses and in particular without internal through recesses, and without recesses on its long sides.

[0029] Advantageously, at least one profiled body is provided to be installed practically on one of the sides of the holding element opposite the wiping lip and the profiled body is connected to the combination part by at least one holding flange. This allows the direct fixing of the profiled body on the combination part. The profiled body can provide the upper cover of the wiping device when viewed from the device.

[0030] Particularly advantageously, at least one deflector is at least practically on the side of the holding element opposite the wiping lip and the deflector is connected by at least one holding edge to the combination part. This allows in particular direct attachment of the deflector to the combination part. The deflector is on the combination profile according to a preferred embodiment.

[0031] The deflector may also extend a development of at least one end cap with end cap deflector. Thus, the deflector may extend at least substantially over the entire longitudinal extension.

[0032] Depending on the application, there are one or more profiled or deflecting bodies.

[0033] Particularly advantageously, at least one fastening adapter is provided for fastening to a wiper arm such that the fastening adapter is located practically on the side of the holding element opposite the wiper lip and the fastening adapter is connected by at least one holding edge to the combination part. Thus, the combination part is fastened by the fastening adapter to the wiper arm. The fastening adapter can in particular be connected directly to the holding element. The fastening or locking depending on the longitudinal extension can be carried out on the holding element. This provides advanced functionality. The simple construction allows assembly, in particular with a reduced number of parts and general connection points.Furthermore, in this manner, for a preferred embodiment, the end caps, deflectors or profiled bodies and fixing adapters are all fixed to the same holding flange, of practically constant construction over 1”longitudinal extension to be fixed to the holding element of the combined part.

[0034] Advantageously, the wiping device is produced at least practically without a deflector and / or without a profiled body between the fixing adapter and at least one end cap. This embodiment can also be carried out for two profiled bodies or two deflectors relative to the two end caps. This also allows an embodiment with an open wiping device when viewed from above. the glass, so that the upper side is at least partly on the holding element of the combined part and the backrest blade.

[0035] Advantageously, the end cap is substantially at least flat on its side opposite the wiping lip, which allows for a wiping device without a deflector.

[0036] The invention makes it possible to produce a wiping device whose structure is that of a flat windscreen wiper thanks to a combined part, integrated into the flat windscreen wiper, the wiping lip, in particular the wiping blade and the holding element being integrated into the combined part.

[0037] The combined part has, to a certain extent, at least two elements, the wiping lip and the holding element, but other elements can also be provided. The wiping lip provides the function of contact with the vehicle window in order to wipe water from the window in operation. According to a preferred development, the holding element holds the end caps which are adapted to the shape of the end caps of a flat windscreen wiper, with at least one deflector and preferably two deflectors in the form of a profiled element and a fixing adapter, preferably in the middle of the longitudinal extension.

[0038] The combined part provides stability and structure to the wiping device by the holding member. The holding member may hold the backrest blade, the end caps, one of the deflectors or preferably the deflectors and the fixing adapter.

[0039] The combined part is preferably extruded or coextruded. At least the two elements of the combined part, namely the holding element and the wiping lip, are produced as a single part (one-piece part) from a substantially single material or, alternatively, from different materials. In a special way, according to a preferred development, a first material is used which is a soft material at least for the wiping lip and a second, harder or / stronger or / more rigid material is used to mainly produce the holding element.

[0040] The combined part comprises means for fixing the backrest blade, the deflector(s), the end caps and the preferably centrally installed fixing adapter. These fixing means are preferably all on the single holding element. This holding element comprises for this purpose at least one holding edge and preferably two holding edges and / or at least one edge and preferably two further edges. The fixing means preferably serve in a manner at least partially comparable to several other parts, in particular the deflector(s), the end caps and the preferably central fixing adapter. For the backrest blade, receiving means, in particular U-shaped guides for fixing and the holding element, can be provided.

[0041] One or more backrest blades may be provided, and preferably exactly one backrest blade. The explanations given as an example for one backrest blade apply to embodiments with two or more backrest blades.

[0042] The part combined with the wiping lip and the holding element comprises means for fixing the fixing adapter, preferably median. For a possible embodiment, the holding element also comprises one or more recesses, in particular cutouts. The fixing adapter is installed on the holding element, in particular it is slipped on according to the longitudinal extension. The fixing adapter comprises at least one relief which engages in the recess(es) at the time of assembly.

[0043] The backrest blade preferably immediately or subsequently receives the attachment of the attachment adapter to the holding element of the combined part, according to the longitudinal extension, in particular it is threaded according to the longitudinal extension. The backrest blade then blocks the attachment of the attachment adapter with elastically deformable means. This makes it possible to block the relief of the attachment adapter in the recess of the holding element, which guarantees the attachment.

[0044] The holding element comprises one or more recesses, in particular cutouts for fixing the end cap. These recesses are on the holding edge of the holding element. An end cap has a means which, during assembly, engages in the recess of the end cap, in particular by clipping, thus creating a secure connection during assembly.

[0045] The embodiment of the wiping device as a flat windscreen wiper can be achieved with at least one deflector or a profiled body. Furthermore, the wiping device is in particular in the form of a flat windscreen wiper with deflector end caps or end caps without deflectors. One or more deflectors can be implemented as wind deflectors. Brief description of the drawings

[0066] DESCRIPTION OF AN EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

[0067] [Fig.l] shows a wiping device 1 for a motor vehicle according to a schematic perspective view corresponding to a first embodiment. Figures 2, 3A - 3D, [Fig.4], [Fig.5], Figures 6A - 6D, and Figures 7A - 7C show different views of the wiping device of [Fig.l]. The wiping device 1 can be applied to a motor vehicle.

[0068] The wiping device 1 comprises a combined part 2 incorporating a holding element 3 and a wiping lip 4. In this embodiment, the combined part 2 is at least practically formed from the holding element 3 and the wiping lip 4 so that it thus practically consists of two elements 3, 4. According to an alternative embodiment, the combined part 2 may have more than two elements 3, 4. The combined part 2 extends along the longitudinal extension 5 of the wiping device 1.

[0069] The wiping device 1 further has a backrest blade 6. The holding element 3 of the combined part 2 holds at least one backrest blade 6.

[0070] A possible embodiment of the combined part 2 will be described with the aid of [Fig.4] which is a schematic sectional profile view. The combined part 2 may also be a single-piece part 2A comprising both the holding element 3 and the wiping lip 4 and thus all the elements 3,4 of the combined part 2.

[0071] This is a possibility for producing the combined part 2 at least practically in a single part and / or at least practically in a single material 7. In particular, the combined part 2 is an extruded combined part 2A.

[0072] An alternative embodiment of the combined part 2 will be described with the aid of [Fig.5] which is a schematic sectional view of the combined part 2, of a profiled body 22, for example, a deflector 24 and of the backrest blade 6. The combined part 2 is in this case, a coextruded part 2B.

[0073] Preferably, for the production with at least two materials, the holding element 3 of the combined part 2 is at least made of the hardest material 8 while the wiping lip 4 is at least practically made of a softer material 9. The harder material 8 preferably has greater hold than the softer part 9.

[0074] As shown in [Fig. 5], the holding element 3 of the combined part 2 can laterally surround the backrest blade 6. The backrest blade 6 has two large sides 10, 11 which are opposite each other. The holding element 3 surrounds the backrest blade 6 on the two large sides 10, 11 by U-shaped frames 16, 17 over the entire longitudinal extension 5.

[0075] According to [Fig.3A], the backrest blade 6 can be inserted during assembly according to the extension longitudinal 5 between the frames 16, 17 in a U shape as shown by arrow 28.

[0076] According to [Fig. 5], the holding element 3 of the combined part 2 has fixing means 14, 15 on its long sides 12, 13. The means 14, 15 are preferably flanges 14, 15 extending along the longitudinal extension 5 and which, in this exemplary embodiment, are holding flanges 14, 15. In this exemplary embodiment, the holding flanges 14, 15 are provided on the two long sides 12, 13 opposite each other; the holding flanges 14, 15 deviate from each other at least substantially in a common plane.

[0077] The profiled bodies 22, 23 cover the holding edges 14, 15 of the U-shaped holding element 3 with U-shaped guides 26, 27 as shown by way of example using the deflector 22 of [Fig. 5]. This allows advantageous fitting in the directions 28, 28' and advantageous attachment to the holding element 3.

[0078] Thus, the holding element 3 of the combined part 2 has on its long sides 12, 13, holding edges 14, 15. The parts 20, 22, 23, 24, 25, 30, 31 have, correspondingly, U-shaped guides 26, 27 which surround the holding edges 14, 15 on the long sides 12, 13.

[0079] The holding element 3 of the combined part 2 thus has on its first large side 12, the first holding rim 14 and on its second large side 13, opposite the first large side 12, the second holding rim 15. The variant embodiments can be only on one of the holding rims 14, 15.

[0080] The parts 20, 22, 23, 24, 25, 30, 31 have, correspondingly, the first U-shaped guide 26 and the second U-shaped guide 27. The first U-shaped guide 26 surrounds the first holding rim 14. The second U-shaped guide 27 surrounds the second holding rim 15. For alternative embodiments, certain features may be provided on only one of the U-shaped guides 26, 27.

[0081] According to [Fig.5], the holding element 3 comprises means 18, 19 for fixing. The means 18, 19 are preferably in the form of flanges 18, 19. In this embodiment, the flanges 18, 19 are on the side 21 of the holding element 3 opposite the wiping lip 4. The flanges 18, 19 extend from the side 21 at an angle 32 of at least substantially 90° relative to the side 21.

[0082] The edges 14, 15, 18, 19 extend over at least practically the entire longitudinal extension 5.

[0083] According to [Fig. 3B], a fastening adapter 20 which serves for fastening to a wiping arm (not shown) is fastened to the holding flanges 14, 15 as explained by the arrow 28. The fastening adapter 20 in the installed state is provided at least practically on one side 21 of the holding element 3 opposite the wiping lip 4. Furthermore, the fastening adapter 20 can be locked along the longitudinal extension 5 by means of the flanges 18, 19 as will be described with the aid of the figures 6A-6D. The fixing adapter 20 is then connected with the fixing flanges 14, 15 and the flanges 18, 19 by the combination part 2.

[0084] As shown in [Fig.3C], the profiled bodies 22, 23 which are at least practically located on the side 21 of the holding element 3 opposite the wiping lip 4, are also connected by the holding edges 14, 15 to the combined part as explained by the arrows 28, 28'.

[0085] The profiled bodies 22, 23 of this embodiment are in the form of deflectors 24, 25. Correspondingly, profiled bodies 22, 23 or deflectors 24, 25 having a different design can also be installed and fixed.

[0086] According to [Fig.3D], end caps 30, 31 may also be connected by the holding flanges 14, 15 to the combined part 2, as explained by the arrows 28, 28'.

[0087] Thus, for another part 20, 22, 23, 24, 25, 30 and 31 the holding edges 14, 15 are connected to the combined part 2.

[0088] According to [Fig. 2], the holding element 3 of the combination part 2 has several recesses 35, 336, 37, 38, 39. The recesses 35, 36, 37, 38, 39 of this embodiment serve for fixing the fixing adapter 20, the profiled bodies 22, 23 or the deflectors 24, 25 and the end caps 30, 31 to the combination part; the fixing or locking is carried out, depending on the longitudinal extension 5. The combination with the fixing to the edges 16, 17, 18, 19, thus achieves a reliable fixing.

[0089] In this embodiment, the recesses 35, 36, 37, 38, 39 are formed in the flanges 14, 15, 18, 19. The recess 35 of this embodiment is provided on the flange 18. Such a recess can also be provided additionally or alternatively on the flange 19. Furthermore, one or more such recesses 35 can be provided. The recesses 36, 37, 38, 39 are formed in the holding flanges 14, 15; the recesses 36, 37 serve for the end caps 30 and the recesses 38, 39 serve for the end caps 31. The explanations given for the end cap 30 also apply to the end cap 31.

[0090] Figures 6A - 6D show the wiping device 1 of Figures 1 and 2, in a schematic perspective view, partially cut away for the first embodiment, to describe the possible connection between the holding element 3 of the combined part 2 and the fixing adapter 20 in different assembly steps. The production of a connection by the shape according to the longitudinal extension 5 between the holding means 3 and the fixing adapter 20 is shown. In addition, there is a fixing or locking of this connection by the shape of the backrest blade 6. The state of the fixing or locking of the connection by the shape also appears in [Fig.5].

[0091] The U-shaped frame 16 of the holding element 3 is elastically deformable. The fixing adapter 20 can be threaded in direction 2 onto the holding element 3 as shown in Figures 3A and 6A. The elastic deformation of the U-shaped frame 16 corresponding to the arrow 40 of [Fig.6B] makes it possible to guide the relief 42 of the fixing adapter 20 into the recess 35 of the flange 18 connected to the U-shaped frame 16. When the U-shaped frame 16 is unloaded in the direction of the arrow 41 pointing away from the arrow 40, a form connection is obtained between the fixing adapter 20 and the combined part 2, as shown in [Fig.6C]. According to [Fig.6D], the form connection applies along the longitudinal extension 5 in the direction of the arrow 28 and in the opposite direction.

[0092] The backrest blade is installed in the direction of arrow 28 as shown in [Fig.3B] and [Fig.6D]. When the backrest blade 6 is installed, it is surrounded on its long sides 10, 11 by the U-shaped frames 16, 17 of the holding element. This prevents, to a very large extent, the deformation of the U-shaped frame 16 in the direction of arrow 40 as shown by way of example in [Fig.6B]. Thus, the backrest blade 16 in the installed state prevents elastic deformation of the U-shaped frame 16 in the direction 40, at least to the extent that the connection 45 acting by the shape, according to the longitudinal extension 5, could become free. This protects the connection by the shape against its opening.

[0093] Figures 7A - 7C show in part the combined part 2 and the end cap 30, according to a schematic perspective view, in several assembly steps for producing a hooking connection between the end cap and the combined part. The end cap 30 has elastically deformable hooking elements 46, 47 as shown in [Fig. 7A]. In the assembly shown in [Fig. 7B], in the direction 28 of the arrow, the hooking elements 46, 47 are elastically deformed. The elastically deformed hooking elements 46, 47 then hook into the recesses 36, 37 of the holding flanges 14, 15 as shown in [Fig. 7C]. The recesses 36, 37 of this exemplary embodiment are on the long sides 12, 13 of the holding element 3.

[0094] Figures 8A, 8B show a wiping device 10 according to a schematic representation corresponding to a second embodiment without a deflector; [Fig.8B] shows the detail of an end cap 30 in perspective.

[0095] The wiping device 1 of this embodiment does not have a deflector. Furthermore, the wiping device 1 is produced without a profiled body 22, 23 between the fixing adapter 20 and the end caps 30, 31. The end caps 30, 31 are flat on the side 21 not facing the wiping lip.

[0096] A wiping device 1 is thus produced which is applicable in particular to a motor vehicle. The wiping device 1 has a holding element 3 and a wiping lip 4 extending along the longitudinal extension 5. In addition, there is a part combined part 2 extending along the longitudinal extension 5 and which comprises the holding element 3 and the wiping lip 4. In addition, there is at least one component 20, 22, 23, 24, 25, 30, 31 connected to the holding element 3 of the combined part 2. The combined part 2 has at least one recess 35, 36, 37, 38, 39. This part 20, 22, 23, 24, 25, 30, 31 is blocked in at least one recess 35, 36, 37, 38, 39 of the combined part 2.

[0097] Figures 9A and 9B show a wiping device 1 corresponding to a third embodiment according to a schematic representation; the fixing adapter 20 comprises hooking elements 46, 47.

[0098] [Fig.9A] shows the backrest blade 6 with, in its middle zone 49, recesses 50, 51, holding edges 14, 15 of the holding element 3 of the combined part 2. In this embodiment, the edges 18, 19 of the first embodiment can be removed from the combined part 2 with respect to the fixing adapter 20.

[0099] [Fig.9B] shows the wiping device 1 with a detail to explain the connection by the shape 43 along the longitudinal extension 5, between the holding element 3 and the fixing adapter 20. The hooking elements 46, 47 are produced on the fixing adapter 20; they are preferably elastically deformable. When the fastening adapter 20 is slipped onto the holding element 3, the fastening adapter is guided, as in the first embodiment, by its guides 26, 27 ([Fig. 2]) corresponding to its U-shape on the holding edges 14, 16, along the longitudinal extension 5. In this embodiment, the hooking elements 46, 47 hook along the longitudinal extension 5 in the middle of the holding elements 3, i.e. in the middle zone 49 of this embodiment with recesses 50, 51 offset along the longitudinal extension 5 relative to the middle position. This guarantees the fixing of the fixing adapter 20 corresponding to the second embodiment. The connection 43 is preferably non-removable.

[0100] The features described in connection with the parts 20, 22, 23, 24, 25, 30, 31 can be combined accordingly or selected. For example, the fastening adapter 20 can also be locked in the described embodiment in an end cap 30, 31. At least one end cap 30, 31 can also be locked according to the described embodiment of the fastening adapter 20, as has been described by way of example, with the aid of FIGS. 9A, 9B. If necessary, the profiled bodies 22, 23 or the deflectors 24, 25 can be locked as has been described. Additional or alternative components can also be provided, which will be stopped in the described manner.

[0101] Certain components can also be omitted as shown by way of example in Figures 8A, 8B.
