Description

Title of the invention: Motor vehicle wiping device with a wiping lip fixed by a tip FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to a wiping or windshield wiper device for a motor vehicle such as a passenger vehicle or a heavy goods vehicle. STATE OF THE ART

[0002] According to document DE 10 2004 058511 A1, a flat windscreen wiper with a wiping blade without a retaining bracket is known.

[0003] DISCLOSURE AND ADVANTAGES OF THE INVENTION

[0004] The invention relates to a wiping device for a motor vehicle comprising a holding installation and a wiping lip, this device being characterized in that a fixed end piece is connected to one end of the holding installation, a removable end piece for engaging in the fixed end piece at the end, along the longitudinal extension, the wiping lip is inserted into the holding installation along the longitudinal extension and the wiping lip is fixed in the holding installation when the removable end piece is engaged on the fixed end piece.

[0005] The wiping device according to the invention has the advantage of an improved design with better operation. The construction of the wiping device is simple as is the replacement of the wiping lip which is, moreover, better fixed.

[0006] According to an advantageous characteristic, the removable tip is held to the fixed tip by a friction connection when the removable tip is engaged on the fixed tip. Thanks to the friction connection, the user can replace the wiping lip without using a tool.

[0007] Advantageously, the front face of the fixed end piece is turned towards the front face of the removable end piece when the removable end piece is engaged on the fixed end piece. This provides an embodiment in which the removable end piece is not engaged in the fixed end piece. The connection of the removable end piece with the fixed end piece can be made by plugging between the removable end piece and the fixed end piece.

[0008] Advantageously, the removable end piece is connected to the fixed end piece by a pair of connecting elements comprising a socket and a stud removably engaged along the longitudinal extension in the socket, when the removable end piece is engaged on the fixed end piece. This provides an advantageous embodiment in the form of a plug-in connection. Preferably, there are two pairs of such connecting elements comprising respectively a socket and a stud. The stud makes it possible to produce the corresponding end piece as a connector.

[0009] Advantageously, the stud is provided on the fixed end piece and / or the stud extends along the longitudinal extension and / or the sleeve is on the removable end piece. Thus, there is greater freedom of construction for the production of the fixed end piece. In particular, it is thus possible to have on the fixed end piece a connection with at least one backrest blade, in particular with two backrest blades and at the same time have a fixed end piece, short along the longitudinal extension.

[0010] Advantageously, the removable end piece is connected to the fixed end piece by another pair of connecting elements comprising a socket and a stud engaging in the socket to provide a removable connection, the stud of the other pair of connecting elements engaging in the socket of this other pair of connecting elements when the removable end piece is engaged on the fixed end piece. Thus, the fixed end piece can advantageously be produced as a connector.

[0011] According to an advantageous feature, the fixed end piece has a receiving profile and the removable end piece has a receiving profile which connects to the receiving profile of the fixed end piece when the removable end piece is engaged on the fixed end piece and the wiping lip is inserted through the receiving profile of the fixed end piece and at least partly into the receiving profile of the removable end piece or is engaged through the removable end piece when the removable end piece is engaged in the fixed end piece. This makes it possible to achieve an advantageous fixing of the wiping lip. According to one embodiment, the wiping lip extends at least substantially over the entire longitudinal extension of the holding installation, including the end pieces and, where appropriate, a further end cap, i.e. from one end to the other.

[0012] According to another advantageous characteristic, the receiving profile of the fixed end piece and the receiving profile of the removable end piece are made in such a way that the wiping lip is supported by the receiving profile of the fixed end piece and by the receiving profile of the removable end piece, at least practically over the entire longitudinal extension of the wiping lip in at least one direction perpendicular to the longitudinal extension, preferably in each direction perpendicular to the longitudinal extension and / or in at least one direction of pivoting about the longitudinal extension, preferably in both directions of pivoting about the longitudinal extension. It is thus advantageously possible to push the wiping lip against the window, which is in particular the windshield of the vehicle.

[0013] Advantageously, the removable end piece has a relief which fits into a recess in the wiping lip, which creates a form-fitting connection between the removable end piece and the wiping lip. A removable connection can be created between the wiping lip and the end piece which allows the removable end piece to be reused in a simple manner when the wiping lip is changed.

[0014] Advantageously, at the end along the outwardly facing front face along the longitudinal extension, the removable end piece has a stop for the wiping lip, limiting the movement of the inserted wiping lip. When the wiping lip is already fixed in this way, no additional means are needed for fixing it.

[0015] Advantageously, a backrest blade is connected by a clip-on connection, preferably integral with the fixed end piece, which allows simple mounting of the wiping device.

[0016] Advantageously, the fixed end piece has a snap-on beak in the fixing housing of the fixed end piece with an engagement ramp to facilitate engagement of the fixing end of the backrest blade in the fixing housing of the fixed end piece and the fixing end of the backrest blade has an oblong hole at its fixing end to receive the snap-on beak of the fixed end piece when the fixing end of the backrest blade is engaged in the fixing housing of the end piece. This allows assembly and connection by a single mounting step.

[0017] Advantageously, another backrest blade is connected to the fixed end piece by a clip-on connection, preferably integral. In particular, a connection can be made with two backrest blades, which allows an embodiment in which the backrest blades are installed on both sides of the wiping lip. This results in constructional advantages of the wiping device, in particular, for a stud installation for the plug-in connection in the fixed end piece. This provides a support, of advantageous construction of the wiping lip.

[0018] According to another characteristic, the fixed end piece has another clipping beak in another receiving housing of the fixed end piece, this beak having an engagement ramp for introducing the fixing end of the other backrest blade into the other fixing housing of the fixed end piece and the fixing end of this other backrest blade has an oblong hole, and

[0019] - the other clipping beak of the fixed end piece fits into the oblong hole of the fixing end of this other backrest blade when the fixing end of this other backrest blade is engaged in the other fixing housing of the fixed end piece. This provides an advantageous assembly and in particular optimizes the number of different parts.

[0020] It is also possible to produce a wiping device with a wiping lip that can be replaced by the user. The end pieces serve the function of an end cap. One end of the wiping device has an arrangement with exactly two end pieces, one of which, the inner end piece, is fixed and the other end piece, the outer end piece, is removable.

[0021] The fixed end piece is connected to at least one backrest blade, which allows the wiping device to be produced as a flat windscreen wiper driven by the pendulum arm on the window in a pendulum movement.

[0022] The fixed end piece makes the connection with the wiping lip to hold the wiping lip.

[0023] According to an advantageous characteristic, there are two backrest blades juxtaposed parallel along the longitudinal extension. The fixed end piece is connected to the outer end of the backrest blades along the longitudinal extension, for connection with the backrest blades. From the outside, the removable end piece connects to the fixed end piece in a detachable manner.

[0024] The removable end piece comprises means for holding the wiping lip. This provides a removable attachment of the wiping lip to the removable end piece. The wiping lip is held by a receiving profile serving as a guide and a receiving profile which extends the guide and whose end piece forms a guide with an elongated receiving profile for the removable end piece.

[0025] The wiping lip can be removed from the removable tip simply and without leaving any residue. This allows the wiping lip to be easily replaced and the removable tip to be reused during this replacement.

[0026] Between the fixed end piece and the removable end piece there are advantageously means for ensuring the reciprocal connection. The connection is preferably rigid, in particular, the connection is made by reliefs of the fixed end piece and / or the removable end piece. These reliefs can be in the form of a stud. In principle, there can be only one relief and in particular only one stud. But, preferably, there are two reliefs, in particular two studs.

[0027] The wiping lip in the installed state is supported over at least practically its entire longitudinal extension. According to a preferred development, there is support at least by one backrest blade, in particular, by the two backrest blades, the fixed end piece and the removable end piece. This provides the advantage of an application pressure against the window, in particular the windshield, which provides sealing during the wiping movement, thus providing a better wiping effect over practically the entire longitudinal extension of the wiping device.

[0028] The fixed end piece can be removably connected to at least one backrest blade. The fixed end piece is connected to the backrest blade by a clip-on connection or such means. Brief description of the drawings

[0039] DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION

[0040] [Fig.l] shows a first embodiment of a wiping device 1 with holding devices 2, 3 and a wiping lip 4 shown schematically in perspective. The wiping device 11 is applicable to a motor vehicle. The wiping device has an adapter 5. The holding devices 2, 3 are connected to the adapter 5. The wiping device is connected by the adapter 5 to a wiping arm (not shown). When the wiping device 1 is actuated with the wiping arm, the wiping lip 4 passes over a window, in particular the windshield of the vehicle.

[0041] [Fig.2] shows a part of the wiping device 1 of [Fig.l] shown schematically in perspective and corresponding to the example embodiment seen, according to direction II; the holding installations 2 are not shown. [Fig.3] shows the wiping device 1 of [Fig.2] according to an exploded, schematic, detailed perspective view corresponding to the exemplary embodiment; the holding installation 2 is not shown.

[0042] The wiping device 1 has backrest blades 6, 7 which, in the installed state of the wiping device 1, are at least segmentally in the holding devices 2, 3.

[0043] According to [Fig.l], one end 8 of the fixing installation 2 has a fixed end piece 9. The fixing is done with the backrest blades 6, 7. The fixed end piece 9 is fixed relative to the holding installation 2.

[0044] A removable end piece 10 is further provided. This removable end piece 10 engages in the end piece 9, fixed along the longitudinal extension 11. For assembly, the wiping lip 4 engages in the holding installations 2, 3 along the longitudinal extension 11. The wiping lip 4 can be connected to the removable end piece 10 which allows the extraction of the wiping lip 4 by the removable end piece 10 when, for example, it is desired to replace the wiping lip 4.

[0045] In the installed state, the wiping lip 4 is fixed in the holding installation 2, 3. For this, the removable end piece 10 is engaged in the fixed end piece 9 as will also be described in connection with [Fig. 6]. Furthermore, it is possible to have an end piece 10 at the end 8' opposite the end 8. It is also possible to reverse the installation of the ends 8, 8'.

[0046] In the installed state, the removable end piece 10 is held to the fixed end piece 9, preferably by a frictional connection. The removable end piece 10 has for this purpose a certain resistance of engagement in the fixed end piece 9. The fixed end piece 9 and the removable end piece 10 are engaged in one another, preferably not in their largest outer section. This means that the front face 13 of the fixed end piece 9 is turned towards the front face 14 of the removable end piece 10 when the removable end piece 10 is engaged in the fixed end piece 9.

[0047] [Fig.4] shows a removable tip 10 and a wiping lip 4 according to a schematic perspective view corresponding to the embodiment example for a change of wiping lip 4; the figure shows the state before fixing the wiping lip 4 to the removable end piece 10.

[0048] [Fig.5] shows the removable tip 10 of [Fig.4] and the wiping lip 4, the latter being fixed to the removable tip 10.

[0049] The fixed end piece 8 has a receiving profile 17; correspondingly, the removable end piece 10 has a receiving profile 18. The receiving profile 18 connects to the receiving profile 17 of the fixed end piece 9 when the removable end piece 10 is engaged on the fixed end piece 9.

[0050] The wiping lip 4 of this embodiment example passes through the receiving profile 17 of the fixed end piece 9 and partly through the receiving profile 18 of the removable end piece 10. According to an alternative embodiment, the wiping lip 4 engages completely in the removable end piece 10 and, if necessary, can protrude from the removable end piece 10 when the latter is engaged on the fixed end piece 9.

[0051] The removable end piece 10 has a relief 20 which engages in a recess 21 of the wiping lip 4. The removable end piece 10 of this exemplary embodiment forms a stop 22 for the wiping lip 4 at its front face 15 at the end 8 facing outwards along the longitudinal extension 11. The stop 22 of this exemplary embodiment is formed by a stop rim 23 of the removable end piece 10.

[0052] In the installed state, the head blade 33 of the wiping lip 4 is on the side of the stop edge 23, that is to say in the figure, above the stop edge 23 and in operation, closer to the part 34 of the window on the other side of the stop edge 23; according to the figure one is below the stop edge 23. Thus, the wiping lip 4 is fixed and, if necessary, held by the stop 22 in the longitudinal extension direction 11.

[0053] [Fig.6] shows the removable end piece 10 of [Fig.4] and a fixed end piece 9 in a schematic, cut-away perspective view corresponding to one embodiment, to better describe the removable connection between the removable end piece 10 and the fixed end piece 9; to simplify the drawing, the wiping lip 4 is not shown.

[0054] The removable end piece 10 can be removably connected to the fixed end piece 9 by at least one pair of connecting elements 25 comprising a socket 26 and a stud 27 which engages in the socket 26 along the longitudinal extension 11 as indicated by the arrow 28. In the assembled state, the stud 27 is engaged in the socket 26. The removable end piece 10 is then engaged in the fixed end piece 9.

[0055] In this embodiment, the stud 27 is on the fixed end piece 9. Correspondingly, the sleeve 26 is in the removable end piece 10. According to an alternative embodiment, the stud 27 is on the removable end piece 10 and the sleeve 26 in the fixed end piece 9. The stud 27 is oriented in the longitudinal extension direction 11 so that the wiping lip 4 can advantageously engage in the holding installations 2, 3.

[0056] The removable end piece 10 can be connected to the fixed end piece 9 by another pair of connecting elements 30 comprising a socket 31 and a stud 32 which engages in the longitudinal extension direction 11 in the socket 31 to produce a removable connection. The stud 32 of the other pair of connecting elements 30 then engages in the socket 31 of this other pair of connecting elements 30 so that the removable end piece 10 is engaged in the fixed end piece 9. In this embodiment, the stud 32 is on the fixed end piece 9 and the socket 31 in the removable end piece 10. It is possible also consider other embodiments. In particular, the two studs 27, 32 are not necessarily on the same end piece 9, 10.

[0057] [Fig.7] shows a wiping device 1 in a detailed schematic sectional view corresponding to the exemplary embodiment; this figure shows the support and guidance of the wiping lip 4.

[0058] The receiving profile 17 of the fixed end piece 9 and the receiving profile 18 of the removable end piece 10 are made to allow optimum support of the wiping lip 4. It is advantageous for the wiping lip 4 to be supported by the fixed end piece 9 and the removable end piece 10 at least practically over the entire longitudinal extension 11. The support is made in one or more directions; by way of example, the directions 35, 36, 37, 38 are shown, which are perpendicular to the longitudinal extension 11. There is, preferably, support in each of the directions 35, 36, 37, 38 oriented perpendicular to the longitudinal extension 11 so as to provide support over 360°, perpendicular to the longitudinal extension 11.

[0059] Furthermore, support can be provided for at least one direction of pivoting 39, 40 around the longitudinal extension 11. The support is preferably provided in both directions of pivoting 39, 40 around the longitudinal extension 11. The support in at least one direction of pivoting 39, 40 can also be provided with the receiving profile 17 of the fixed end piece 9 and / or the receiving profile 18 of the removable end piece 10.

[0060] [Fig.8] shows a schematic, cutaway perspective view of the detail of the fixed end piece 9 and the backrest blade 6 according to an exemplary embodiment showing the mounting of the fixed end piece 9 on the backrest blade 6. [Fig.9] shows the fixed end piece 9 of [Fig.8] and the backrest blade 6 according to a schematic sectional view of the installed state.

[0061] The backrest blade 6 and correspondingly, the backrest blade 7 can each be connected to the fixed end piece 9 by a solid clip-on connection 45.

[0062] The fixed end piece 9 has a fixing housing 46. The fixed end piece 9 comprises a clipping beak 47 in the housing 46. The clipping beak 47 engages over the fixing end 48 of the backrest blade 6 when the latter is engaged in the fixing housing 46 of the fixed end piece 9. The clipping beak 47 has an engagement ramp 49 to facilitate engagement.

[0063] In this embodiment, the fixing end 48 of the backrest blade 6 has an oblong hole 50 in which the clipping beak 47 of the fixed end piece 9 is clipped during engagement. In the installed state, the clipping beak 47 in the oblong hole 50 of the fixing end 48 of the backrest blade 6.

[0064] Furthermore, in this embodiment, another backrest blade 7 is connected in a corresponding manner with a clip connection 51 secured to the fixed end piece 9. These elements are also found in the sectional view of [Fig.9].

[0065] The fixed end piece 9 has another fixing housing 52 with another clipping beak 53. This other clipping beak 53 also has an engagement ramp 55 to facilitate the engagement of the fixing end 54 of the other backrest blade 7. The fixing end 54 of the other backrest blade 7 also has an oblong hole 56 which receives the other clipping beak 53 of the fixed end piece 9 when the fixing end 54 of this other backrest blade 7 is engaged in the other fixing housing 52 of the fixed end piece 9.
