Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: body ornament article intended to mask the visible part of a medical device implanted or fixed on a body part TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to a body ornament article intended to mask the visible part of a medical device implanted or fixed on the human body.
[0002] The body ornament article according to the invention is intended in particular but not exclusively to mask the body of a housing of an insulin pump system, of an implantable catheter chamber, etc. STATE OF THE ART
[0003] Solutions have been proposed in an attempt to improve the aesthetic appearance and limit the psychological impact linked to the presence of a visible part of a medical device implanted or fixed on the human body.
[0004] Among the proposed solutions, a device for protecting a catheter having a decorative shape such as an animal can be cited. For example, documents US 10441751 and EP121210 can be cited, which describe such a device. This type of device, however, remains bulky and not very discreet.
[0005] It may also be mentioned, in the case of a gastrostomy button, the installation of a decorated cap, for example by affixing patterns / logos, stone inlays or engraving it on the cap. The cap is removable. It can be removed and replaced by a cap provided with another pattern. As an example, documents US8287502 and US6789542 may be cited, which propose such caps. If these solutions improve the visual appearance, they do not make it possible to mask the volume of the visible parts of the medical devices, the presence of the medical devices nevertheless remains explicit.
[0006] The invention aims to remedy these problems by proposing a body ornament article making it possible to mask the visible part (external part) of a medical device implanted or fixed on the human body.
[0007] The invention also aims to provide a body ornament article which can be easily and quickly interchanged. SUBJECT OF THE INVENTION
[0008] To this end, and according to a first aspect, the invention proposes a body ornament article intended to mask the visible part of a medical device implanted or fixed on a body part, comprising a covering pad intended to be fixed on the visible part of the medical device, having dimensions substantially identical to those of the visible part of the medical device and having a lower face coated with a repositionable adhesive, a flexible flat covering part, of dimensions greater than those of the covering pad, comprising an internal part intended to be affixed to the covering pad and a peripheral part encircling the internal part capable of being stuck to the skin, the covering part further comprising openwork zones arranged relative to each other so as to allow an expansion in height of the internal part relative to the peripheral part.
[0009] Thus, thanks to the presence of the openwork areas and their arrangement, as well as the sizing of the two parts making up the body ornament article, the latter envelops the entire visible part of the medical device by adapting to the relief of the device and extending beyond the visible part, making the latter more discreet, or even undetectable.
[0010] Advantageously, the openwork areas are distributed so as to define a concentric pattern.
[0011] Advantageously, the openwork areas consist of circular, semi-circular, curved and / or wavy cutouts.
[0012] Advantageously, the space between openwork zones occupies 70 to 90% of the surface area of the covering part.
[0013] Advantageously, the covering piece comprises an arrangement of at least two openwork zones bordering the peripheral edge delimiting the peripheral part of the covering piece.
[0014] Advantageously, the covering part comprises an upper face coated with a decorative layer.
[0015] Advantageously, the covering pad has an upper face coated with a decorative layer.
[0016] Advantageously, the covering part has a thickness of between 0.9 mm and 1.2 mm.
[0017] Advantageously, the covering pad has a thickness of between 150 mm and 250 mm.
[0018] Advantageously, the covering piece has a flower shape, the openwork areas defining the contours of the petals, the central part of the flower and / or any constituent element of the flower. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES
[0019] Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will emerge from the detailed description of the invention which follows, given by way of example and with reference to the appended figures in which:

[0024] For clarity, identical or similar elements of the different embodiments are identified by identical reference signs throughout the figures. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0025] In relation to Figures 1 and 2, an exemplary embodiment of a body ornamental article 1 according to the invention is described, intended to cover the visible part of a medical device 50 implanted on a part of the body (C) or fixed thereto. In the example illustrated in [Fig. 2], the visible part of the medical device 50 is a circular insulin pump housing. The visible part of the medical device will subsequently be referred to as the medical housing 50. It is understood that the description of the body ornamental article which follows applies to any type of visible part of a medical device and that the invention described in the example is not limited to the medical housing illustrated or to the associated medical device.
[0026] The decorative article 1 is composed of two masking elements dissociated (distinct) from one another, namely a covering pad 2 intended to be fixed on the visible part 51 of the medical device 50 and a flexible flat covering piece 3, intended to be affixed to the covering pad 2.
[0027] The covering pad 2 comprises a lower face coated with a repositionable adhesive and an upper face advantageously coated with decorative elements. This face will subsequently be referred to as the decorated face 20. In the example illustrated, the decorated face 20 is coated with cosmetic glitter. These glitters are advantageously polyester or plastic glitters, free of metal and glass.
[0028] The covering pad 2 is sized to cover the upper face of the medical case 50. It is thus arranged to have a shape, in the illustrated example circular, the dimensions of which are identical to the dimensions of the upper surface of the medical device on which the covering pad 2 is intended to be affixed. The covering pad 2 advantageously has a thickness of between 150 mm and 250 mm.
[0029] The covering part 3 has dimensions greater than those of the covering pad 2. It comprises an internal part intended to be affixed to the covering pad 2, a peripheral part encircling the internal part suitable for being glued to the skin, a lower face 30 and an upper face 31 delimited by a peripheral edge 32. The lower face 30 is coated in whole or in part with a repositionable adhesive, preferably hypoallergenic. In a preferred embodiment, only the parts of the lower face 30 in the vicinity of the peripheral edge, corresponding to the peripheral part, are coated with a repositionable glue.
[0030] According to the invention, the covering part 3 comprises openwork zones 33 arranged relative to each other so as to allow an expansion in height of the internal part relative to the peripheral part. The presence and arrangement of the openwork zones thus makes it possible to obtain a relief adapting to the medical case to be covered. The covering part 3 can in fact expand, thus promoting the encapsulation of the medical case 50 within the covering part 3. This thus makes it possible to envelop the medical case 50 over its height.
[0031] According to a preferred embodiment, the openwork zones 33 are distributed so as to define a concentric pattern. This is of course an exemplary embodiment, and any other distribution of the openwork zones may be provided allowing the covering part to be highlighted without departing from the scope of the invention.
[0032] Advantageously, the openwork areas 33 form circular or semi-circular, curved and / or wavy lights. In the illustrated embodiment, the cutouts form successive waves or half-bridges.
[0033] Advantageously, the upper face of the covering piece 3 can be covered with a printed or non-printed fabric, and / or any type of decorative element provided that the latter do not hinder the deployment of the covering piece 3. In the example illustrated, the upper face 31 is provided with a plain fabric so that the sequins of the decorated face 20 of the covering disc extending under the covering piece 3 “stand out” visually through the openwork areas of the covering piece 3.
[0034] Advantageously, the covering part 3 has a thickness of between 0.9 mm and 1.2 mm.
[0035] [Fig.2] shows the placement of the ornamental article 1 on the medical case 50 implanted on a part of the body (C). The covering patch 2 is then placed on the upper surface of the medical case 50. The covering piece 3 is then affixed to the medical case 50. Care is taken to arrange it in such a way that the part comprising the openwork areas 33 is affixed to the medical case 50. The covering piece 3 is fixed to the body (C). In the illustrated embodiment, the medical case 50 is covered by the left flower. It could have been chosen to cover the medical case with the right flower insofar as the latter also comprises openwork areas 33 defining a concentric pattern.
[0036] Figures 3 and 4 illustrate another example of the embodiment of an ornamental article. body IA. The decorative article differs from that of [Fig.l], besides the general shape of the covering piece 3, by the shape of the openwork areas 33.
[0037] In the illustrated examples, the covering piece 3 has a flower shape, the openwork areas defining the contours of the petals, the central part of the flower and other constituent elements of the flower. It is of course obvious that this is an exemplary embodiment, the covering piece 3 being able to take any other shape without departing from the scope of the invention.
[0038] The invention is described in the above by way of example. It is understood that a person skilled in the art is able to carry out different variant embodiments of the invention without departing from the scope of the invention.
