Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Composition comprising at least one particular agent, at least one antioxidant agent and at least one C monoalcohol t to C6
[0001] The present invention relates to a composition comprising at least one agent chosen from acids comprising at least one linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated aliphatic chain containing from 3 to 5 carbon atoms and their salts, at least one antioxidant agent and at least one C1 to C6 monoalcohol.
[0002] The invention also relates to a cosmetic treatment method using this composition and to the use of said composition for the cosmetic treatment of keratin materials. Technical field
[0003] Hair is generally damaged and weakened by the action of external atmospheric agents such as light and bad weather, as well as by mechanical or chemical treatments such as brushing, combing, dyeing, bleaching, perming and / or straightening, or even repeated washing.
[0004] The hair is thus damaged by these different factors and can in the long run become dry, rough, brittle or dull, particularly in fragile areas, and more particularly at the ends.
[0005] Furthermore, consumers may experience problems with itching of the scalp (also called scalp in the present description), but also with tingling or even a feeling of heating, or even flaking of the scalp.
[0006] To overcome these drawbacks, it is usual to use hair care products which use compositions intended to condition the hair, providing it with satisfactory cosmetic properties, in particular smoothing, suppleness, a natural feel and good detangling properties, and which provide short-term effects making it possible to deal with the effects of scalp discomfort, with instant relief.
[0007] However, the products existing on the market do not necessarily give complete satisfaction and can still be improved, particularly concerning cosmetic properties, such as feel. In addition, these products do not always have good stability over time with a degradation of the condition of said product which can be observed.
[0008] There is therefore a real need to provide a composition that makes it possible to reduce, or even eliminate, the undesirable effects of scalp discomfort, such as tingling, itching and / or the feeling of heating, while maintaining or even restoring the balance of the microbial flora of the scalp (maintaining and / or restoring the ecoflora of the scalp to a normal level), and preserving good cosmetic properties for the hair and roots, such as a non-greasy feel in line with consumer expectations for this type of product, good individualization (good looseness), and which also has good stability over time.
[0009] It has been surprisingly discovered that a particular cosmetic composition makes it possible to achieve the objectives set out above. Statement of the invention
[0010] The present invention therefore relates to a composition comprising:

[0012] b) at least one antioxidant agent; and
[0013] c) at least one C1 to C6 monoalcohol.

[0068] The present invention will now be described more specifically by the by way of examples, which are in no way limiting of the scope of the invention. However, the examples make it possible to support specific characteristics, variants, and preferred embodiments of the invention. EXAMPLES
[0069] Compositions A1 and A2, as described in Table 1 below, were prepared: the quantities are expressed in g of active material (% MA) unless otherwise stated.
[0070] [Tables 1] Compositions Al (invention) A2 (comparative) Sodium propionate 1 1 Ascorbyl glucoside 3 3 PEG-60 hydrogenated castor oil (PEG-60 hydrogenated castor oil) 1,2 1,2 Ethanol 20 - Propylene glycol - 20 Water Qsp 100 Qsp 100
[0071] Thus, composition A1 is a composition according to the invention. Composition A2 is a comparative composition. Stability assessment
[0072] The compositions were poured into bottles and then stored at 4°C, room temperature (25°C) and 45°C, respectively. The appearance of the compositions is observed after 2 months of storage. The stability of each of the compositions is then evaluated by visual observation.
[0073] The results of the observations are summarized in Table 2.
[0074] [Tables2] 2 months at 4°C 2 months at 25°C 2 months at 45°C Composition Al (invention) Stable composition (no coloration, cloudiness or phase shift) Stable composition (no coloration, cloudiness or phase shift) Stable composition (no coloration, cloudiness or phase shift) Composition A2 (comparative) Very cloudy composition (opaque) Cloudy composition Coloration (yellowing) and presence of a supernatant
[0075] Thus, it was found that composition A1 exhibited improved stability compared to composition A2.
[0076] The composition according to the invention therefore has improved stability over time. Sensory and visual evaluations
[0077] Compositions A1 and A2 were applied to strands of natural hair (2.7 g / 27 cm) at a rate of 0.4 g of composition per g of hair; the strands were dried with a hair dryer for approximately 3 minutes (at a temperature of 50-90°C, distance of at least 15 cm), so as to obtain a dry strand.
[0078] Visual observation: visual bold criterion
[0079] 3 experts carried out a visual observation of the strands of hair, and compared the two strands blindly, giving a score from 0 to 5, in steps of 0.5.
[0080] A score of 5 means that the strands are visually very oily (not visually clean at all), while a score of 0 means that the strand is not visually oily at all and has a healthy, clean hair appearance.
[0081] The results are collected in Table 3 below.
[0082] [Tables3] Composition Al (invention) A2 (comparative) Expert 1 0.5 3.5 Expert 2 1.0 3.5 Expert 3 1.5 2.0 Average 1.0 3.0 Standard deviation 0.5 0.87
[0083] It was observed by the experts that the composition Al according to the invention did not leave the strands of hair and / or the roots visually greasy; on the contrary, the hair is clean, without any sticky effect of the fibers between them.
[0084] In contrast, it was observed that comparative composition A2 left the hair strands visually greasy.
[0085] Tactile evaluation: greasy touch criterion
[0086] The oily feel performance was also evaluated by 3 experts. The performance was evaluated in a blind test in which each of the 3 experts assigned a score in the range of 0 (no oily feel) to 5 (very oily feel) to each of the hair strands. In other words, the closer the score is to 0, the cleaner the feel.
[0087] To assess the property of the oily feel, the expert takes the strand between the thumb and index finger, and moves down from the top of the strand towards the tips and at the same time makes a slight oscillating movement with the thumb to feel the presence of a possible deposit and possible transfer of product onto the fingers.
[0088] The results are collected in Table 4 below.
[0089] [Tables4] Composition Al (invention) A2 (comparative) Expert 1 0.5 3.0 Expert 2 0.5 3.5 Expert 3 2.0 2.5 Average 1.0 3.0 Standard deviation 0.87 0.5
[0090] It is clear that the locks of hair treated with the composition A1 according to the invention have a very low oiliness compared to locks of hair treated with the comparative composition A2. Thus, the locks of hair treated with the composition A1 according to the invention have a significantly cleaner feel than that of the locks of hair treated with the comparative composition A2.
[0091] Thus, the composition according to the invention has an improved visual and non-greasy feel.
[0092] Individualization: loose criterion
[0093] The performance in terms of hair individualization (looseness) on strands of dry hair as previously prepared was evaluated by 3 experts. The performance was evaluated in a blind test in which each of the 3 experts assigned a score in the range from 0 (no individualization, hair in clumps) to 5 (very individualized hair) to each of the strands of hair.
[0094] The expert takes the strand and rolls the hair between his fingers: the more the hairs separate from each other, the more individualized they are. The more the hairs are in clumps, the less individualized they are.
[0095] The results are collected in Table 5 below.
[0096] [Tables5] Composition Al (invention) A2 (comparative) Expert 1 3.5 2.0 Expert 2 4.5 2.5 Expert 3 4.0 1.5 Average 4.0 2.0 Standard deviation 0.5 0.5
[0097] It clearly appears that the locks of hair treated with the composition A1 according to the invention are more individualized compared to locks of hair treated with the comparative composition A2. Thus, the locks of hair treated with the composition A1 according to the invention are significantly more individualized, more loose, with a more natural appearance compared to locks of hair treated with the comparative composition A2.
