Description

Title of the invention: Composition for treating keratin fibers comprising at least one copolymer with acetoacetate functions, at least one C6-C16 hydrocarbon compound and at least one oxygenated C4-C30 hydrocarbon compound

[0001] The present invention relates to the field of cosmetic treatment of keratin fibers, preferably hair. It thus aims to propose new compositions comprising a particular copolymer with acetoacetate units in association with two types of hydrocarbon compounds, which have excellent technical performances, in particular in terms of homogeneity and resistance of the coatings which they make it possible to obtain.

[0002] More specifically, the present invention relates to a composition intended for the treatment of human keratin fibers such as hair, comprising a copolymer formed from monomers carrying acetoacetate type functions in association with a C6 to C16 hydrocarbon compound and an oxygenated C4-C30 hydrocarbon compound comprising at least 2 oxygen atoms.

[0003] The present invention also relates to a method for treating keratin fibers such as hair using this composition. Technical field

[0004] In the field of treatment of keratin fibers, particularly hair fibers, it is known to use one or more film-forming polymers in order to obtain a quality deposit of products on the fibers.

[0005] Document WO 2013 / 103528 proposes copolymers not organized in the particulate state, one of the monomers of which carries an acetoacetate function, in particular for hair applications. Document WO 2014 / 098052 proposes an acrylic resin emulsion for styling agents which has been stably dispersed by a poly(vinyl alcohol) resin. The compositions described in these documents, however, have unsatisfactory styling performance over time.

[0006] Furthermore, so-called hair makeup products have recently been developed, which offer temporary hair coloring that lasts after 1 to 3 shampoos. They constitute an alternative, particularly attractive to consumers, to permanent coloring, provided that the color effect maintains its hold in contact with water and a few shampoos. This requirement can be met in particular by using effective film-forming agents.

[0007] Thus, document FR 2 741 530 proposes for this purpose, for temporary coloring keratin fibers, the use of a dispersion of film-forming polymer particles comprising at least one acid function and at least one pigment dispersed in the continuous phase of said dispersion. The colors obtained by this coloring method nevertheless have the disadvantage of being removed too quickly when shampooing.

[0008] It is also proposed in document FR 2 907 678 to produce colored coatings of the hair from a composition comprising a poly-siloxane / polyurea block copolymer and a pigment. However, with such a composition, the coatings obtained are not always very homogeneous and the individualization of the hair is not always satisfactory.

[0009] There therefore remains a need to have compositions which make it possible to deposit a coating, colored or not, on keratin fibers, which is powerful, homogeneous while being resistant to shampoos, sebum and various attacks that the hair may be subjected to such as brushing and / or rubbing.

[0010] The present invention makes it possible to meet these needs. Statement of the invention

[0011] The present invention therefore relates to a cosmetic composition for treating keratin fibers, comprising: (i) at least one CP copolymer comprising repeating units derived from: - 0% to 99% by weight, relative to the total weight of the monomers, of at least one monomer (A) chosen from 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, 2-ethylhexyl methacrylate, isobutyl acrylate, isobutyl methacrylate, and mixtures thereof; - 1% to 20% by weight, relative to the total weight of the monomers, of at least one monomer (B) of formula (I): in which: • Ra represents a hydrogen atom or a linear or branched (Ci-C4)alkyl group, • Rb and Rc, identical or different, represent a hydrogen atom or a linear or branched (Ci-C4)alkyl group, • Rd represents a linear or branched (Ci-C4)alkyl group, and • L represents a linear or branched (Ci-C6)alkylene or cycloalkylene group; and - 0% to 99% by weight, relative to the total weight of the monomers, of at least one monomer (C) chosen from C1-C4 alkyl acrylates, C1-C4 alkyl methacrylates, silicone macromonomers, and mixtures thereof; it being understood that said copolymer CP is obtained by polymerization of at least one monomer (B) with at least one monomer (A) and / or at least one monomer (C); (ii) at least one hydrocarbon compound comprising from 6 to 16 carbon atoms; and (iii) at least one oxygenated hydrocarbon compound comprising from 4 to 30 carbon atoms and at least 2 oxygen atoms.

[0012] The application of such a composition to keratin fibers makes it possible to obtain particularly homogeneous coatings. It provides a coating that is resistant to water and in particular to shampoos as well as to sebum. Such a coating can be resistant to the various external aggressions that keratin fibers can undergo such as, for example, blow-drying, brushing, rubbing and perspiration.

[0013] The present invention also relates to a method for the cosmetic treatment of keratin fibers comprising the application to said fibers of the above composition.

[0014] The invention also relates to the use of this composition for the care of keratin fibers and in particular hair.

[0015] According to a preferred embodiment, the composition according to the invention is used for coloring keratin fibers and in particular hair. In this embodiment, the composition comprises at least one coloring agent. Such a composition makes it possible to confer a particularly powerful coloring to the keratin fibers.

[0108] The pigment may also be a special effect pigment. Special effect pigments are understood to mean pigments which generally create a colored appearance (characterized by a certain shade, a certain liveliness and a certain clarity) which is non-uniform and changes depending on the observation conditions (light, temperature, observation angles, etc.). They are thus opposed to colored pigments which provide a conventional uniform opaque, semi-transparent or transparent shade.

[0109] There are several types of special effect pigments, those with a low refractive index such as fluorescent or photochromic pigments, and those with a higher refractive index such as nacres, interference pigments or glitter.

[0110] Examples of special effect pigments that may be mentioned are pearlescent pigments such as mica coated with titanium or bismuth oxychloride, colored pearlescent pigments such as mica coated with titanium and iron oxides, mica coated with iron oxide, mica coated with titanium and in particular ferric blue or chromium oxide, mica coated with titanium and an organic pigment as defined above, as well as pearlescent pigments based on bismuth oxychloride. pearlescent pigments, we can cite Cellini pearlescent pigments marketed by BASF (Mica-TiO 2-lake), Prestige marketed by Eckart (Mica-TiO2), Prestige Bronze marketed by Eckart (Mica-Fe2O3) Colorona marketed by Merck (Mica-TiO2-Fe2 O3).

Multilayer pigments based on synthetic substrates such as alumina, silica, calcium and sodium borosilicate or sodium borosilicate may also be considered. calcium and aluminum, and aluminum.

[0115] The special effect pigments may also be chosen from reflective particles, that is to say in particular particles whose size, structure, in particular the thickness of the layer(s) which constitute it and their physical and chemical nature, and surface state, enable them to reflect incident light. This reflection may, where appropriate, have sufficient intensity to create on the surface of the composition or mixture, when the latter is applied to the support to be made up, highlights visible to the naked eye, that is to say brighter points which contrast with their environment by appearing to shine.

[0116] The reflective particles may be selected so as not to significantly alter the coloring effect generated by the coloring agents associated with them and more particularly so as to optimize this effect in terms of color rendering. They may more particularly have a yellow, pink, red, bronze, orange, brown, gold and / or copper color or reflection.

[0117] These particles can have various shapes, in particular being platelet-shaped or globular, in particular spherical.

[0118] The reflective particles, whatever their shape, may have a multi-layer structure or not and, in the case of a multi-layer structure, for example at least one layer of uniform thickness, in particular of a reflective material.

[0119] When the reflective particles do not have a multilayer structure, they may be composed, for example, of metal oxides, in particular titanium or iron oxides obtained by synthesis.

[0120] When the reflective particles have a multi-layer structure, they may for example comprise a natural or synthetic substrate, in particular a synthetic substrate at least partially coated with at least one layer of a reflective material, in particular at least one metal or metallic material. The substrate may be single-material, multi-material, organic and / or inorganic.

[0121] More particularly, it can be chosen from glasses, ceramics, graphite, metal oxides, aluminas, silicas, silicates, in particular aluminosilicates and borosilicates, synthetic mica and their mixtures, this list not being limiting.

[0122] The reflective material may comprise a layer of metal or a metallic material.

[0123] Reflective particles are described in particular in documents JP-A-09188830, JP-A-10158450, JP-A-10158541, JP-A-07258460 and JP-A-05017710.

[0124] Still as an example of reflective particles comprising a mineral substrate coated with a layer of metal, mention may also be made of particles comprising a borosilicate substrate coated with silver.

[0128] Mention may also be made of interference effect pigments not fixed on a substrate such as liquid crystals (Helicones HC from Wacker), interference holographic flakes (Geometry Pigments or Spectra f / x from Spectratek). Special effect pigments also include fluorescent pigments, whether they are substances that fluoresce in daylight or that produce ultraviolet fluorescence, phosphorescent pigments, photochromic pigments, thermochromic pigments and quantum dots, marketed for example by the company Quantum Dots Corporation.

[0129] The variety of pigments that can be used in the present invention makes it possible to obtain a rich palette of colors, as well as particular optical effects such as metallic and interference effects.

[0130] The size of the pigment used in the composition according to the present invention is generally between 10 nm and 200 qm, preferably between 20 nm and 80 qm, and more preferably between 30 nm and 50 qm.

[0131] The pigments can be dispersed in the composition using a dispersing agent.

[0132] The dispersing agent serves to protect the dispersed particles against their agglomeration or flocculation. This dispersing agent may be a surfactant, an oligomer, a polymer or a mixture of several of them, carrying one or more functionalities having a strong affinity for the surface of the particles to be dispersed. In particular, they can attach physically or chemically to the surface of the pigments. These dispersants also have at least one functional group compatible with or soluble in the continuous medium. In particular, esters of 12-hydroxystearic acid in particular and of C8 to C20 fatty acid and of polyol such as glycerol, diglycerin, such as poly(12-hydroxystearic) acid stearate with a molecular weight of approximately 750g / mole such as that sold under the name Solsperse 21 000 by the company Avecia, polyglyceryl-2 dipolyhydroxy stearate (CTFA name) sold under the reference Dehymyls PGPH by the company Henkel or polyhydroxystearic acid such as that sold under the reference Arlacel P100 by the company Uniqema and their mixtures.

[0134] The pigments used in the composition may be surface-treated with an organic agent.

[0135] Thus, the previously surface-treated pigments useful in the context of the invention are pigments which have undergone totally or partially a surface treatment of a chemical, electronic, electrochemical, mechanochemical or mechanical nature, with an organic agent such as those which are described in particular in Cosmetics and Toiletries, February 1990, Vol. 105, p. 53-64 before being dispersed in the composition in accordance with the invention. These organic agents may be chosen, for example, from waxes, for example carnauba wax and beeswax; fatty acids, fatty alcohols and their derivatives, such as stearic acid, hydroxystearic acid, stearyl alcohol, hydroxystearyl alcohol, lauric acid and their derivatives; anionic surfactants; lecithins; sodium, potassium, magnesium, iron, titanium, zinc or aluminum salts of fatty acids, for example aluminum stearate or laurate; metal alkoxides; polyethylene; (meth)acrylic polymers, for example polymethylmethacrylates; polymers and copolymers containing acrylate units; alkanoamines; silicone compounds, for example silicones, in particular polydimethylsiloxanes; fluorinated organic compounds, for example perfluoroalkyl ethers; fluorosilicon compounds.

[0136] The surface-treated pigments useful in the composition may also have been treated with a mixture of these compounds and / or have undergone several surface treatments.

[0137] The surface-treated pigments useful in the context of the present invention can be prepared according to surface treatment techniques well known to those skilled in the art or found as such commercially.

[0138] Preferably, the surface-treated pigments are covered by an organic layer.

[0139] The organic agent with which the pigments are treated can be deposited on the pigments by solvent evaporation, chemical reaction between the molecules of the agent surface or creation of a covalent bond between the surfactant and the pigments.

[0140] The surface treatment can thus be carried out for example by chemical reaction of a surfactant with the surface of the pigments and creation of a covalent bond between the surfactant and the pigments or fillers. This method is notably described in US patent 4,578,266.

[0141] Preferably, an organic agent covalently bound to the pigments will be used.

[0142] The surface treatment agent may represent from 0.1 to 50% by weight of the total weight of the surface-treated pigment, preferably from 0.5 to 30% by weight, and even more preferably from 1 to 20% by weight of the total weight of the surface-treated pigment.

[0143] Preferably, the surface treatments of the pigments are chosen from the following treatments:

[0144] - a PEG-Silicone treatment such as the AQ surface treatment marketed by LCW;

[0159] According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the dispersing agent is present with organic or inorganic pigments in particulate form of sub-micron size.

[0160] By "sub-micronic" or in English "sub-micronic" is meant pigments whose particle size has been micronized by micronization method and whose average particle size is less than one micrometer (pm), in particular between 0.1 and 0.9 pm, and preferably between 0.2 and 0.6 pm.

[0161] According to one embodiment, the dispersing agent and the pigment(s) are present in an amount (dispersant: pigment), according to a weight ratio, of between 1:4 and 4:1, particularly between 1.5:3.5 and 3.5:1 or better between 1.75:3 and 3:1.

[0162] The dispersing agent(s) may therefore have a silicone backbone, such as silicone polyether and amino-silicone dispersants. Suitable dispersing agents include:

[0168] In one variant of the invention, the pigment(s) are organic pigments, preferably organic pigments surface-treated with an organic agent chosen from silicone compounds. In another variant of the invention, the pigment(s) are mineral pigments.

[0169] Preferably, the pigment(s) are chosen from iron oxides, in particular red, brown or black. As an example of iron oxide, mention may be made of iron oxide sold by Sun Chemical Company under the name SunPuro® Red Iron Oxide.

[0170] Direct dyes The composition according to the invention may comprise one or more direct dye(s).

[0171] By "direct dye" is meant natural and / or synthetic dyes, different from oxidation dyes. These are dyes which will diffuse superficially on the fiber. They can be ionic, for example cationic or anionic, or non-ionic.

[0172] Examples of suitable direct dyes that may be mentioned include azo direct dyes; (poly)methine dyes such as cyanines, hemicyanines and styryls; carbonyl dyes; azine dyes; nitro(hetero)aryl dyes; tri(hetero)arylmethane dyes; porphyrin dyes; phthalocyanine dyes and natural direct dyes, alone or as mixtures.

[0361] After applying the composition, the hair may be left to dry or dried, for example at a temperature greater than or equal to 30°C.

[0362] The method according to the invention may also comprise, after application of the composition, a step of applying heat to the keratin fibers using a heating device.

[0363] Such a device may be, for example, a helmet, a hair dryer, a straightening or curling iron, a climazon, etc. Preferably, the heat application step is carried out using a hair dryer.

[0364] During the step of applying heat to the hair, a mechanical action on the strands can be exerted such as combing, brushing, or passing the fingers through.

[0365] When the step of applying heat to the hair is carried out using a helmet or a hair dryer, the temperature is preferably between 30 and 110°C, preferably between 50 and 90°C.

[0366] According to a preferred embodiment, the composition comprises at least one coloring agent chosen from pigments, direct dyes, and mixtures thereof, and the treatment method is a method for coloring keratin fibers.

[0367] Such a process provides a particularly homogeneous coloring of the fibers, while remaining permanent when shampooed.

[0368] The invention also relates to the use of the composition for the care of keratin fibers and in particular hair.

[0369] The use is as described above, within the framework of the treatment method.

[0370] The present invention will now be described more specifically by way of examples, which are in no way limiting of the scope of the invention. However Examples are provided to support specific features, variations, and preferred embodiments of the invention. EXAMPLES

[0371] The examples below use a CP copolymer of isobutyl acrylate / tert-butyl acrylate / acetoacetoxyethyl methacrylate (25 / 65 / 10) synthesized according to the protocol described below: In a reactor controlled by IL, 62.5g of isobutyl acrylate, 162.5g of tert-butyl acrylate, 25g of acetoacetoxyethyl methacrylate, 2.5g of the radical initiator Trigonox T21S and 360g of an isododecane / ethyl acetate solvent (50 / 50) are introduced. The medium is degassed with argon then heated to 90°C with stirring. The reaction medium is maintained for 7 hours at 90°C. Stripping is then carried out with 300ml of isododecane to remove the residual monomers. At the end of the reaction, a polymer is obtained in solution in isododecane.

[0372] Example 1: Preparation of compositions The compositions below were prepared by mixing the ingredients indicated in Table 1 below in which the contents are expressed as a percentage by weight of raw material, relative to the total weight of the composition (ma meaning active material).

[0373] [Tables 1] Compositions A comparative B invention C invention Copolymer CP (1) 15.3 (10% ma) 15.3 (10% ma) 15.3 (10% ma) Fe2O3® 6 6 6 Isodocecane 44.65 16.8 8.4 Ethanol 39.35 - - Diethylene glycol monobutyl ether - 50.4 - Butyl acetate - - 64.6 Hexylene glycol - 16.8 11

[0374] (1) isobutyl acrylate / tert-butyl acrylate / methacrylate random copolymer of acetoacetoxyethyl (25 / 65 / 10 by weight) obtained according to the preparation process described above, in solution at 65.4% by weight in isododecane (2) marketed under the name Tarox Iron Oxide R-516 HP by the company Titan Kogyo

[0375] Example 2: Evaluation of compositions Compositions A to C of Example 1 were evaluated on 1g strands of 90% white natural hair.

[0376] The application protocol is as follows: Each composition is applied to a strand of dry hair at a rate of 0.6 g of composition (bath ratio of 0.6 g per g of hair). It is distributed with the finger on the strand. After a 2-minute application time, the strand is dried using a heat brush and a hair dryer.

[0377] Shampoo resistance assessments were then conducted 24 hours after application of the composition. Shampoo resistance was assessed by measuring the colorimetric data of each of the strands.

[0378] Colorimetric measurements were performed using a KONICA MINOLTA-3600 spectrocolorimeter (illuminant D65, angle 10°, specular component included) in the CIELab system.

[0379] In this L*a*b* system, L* represents the lightness of the color, a* indicates the green / red color axis and b* the blue / yellow color axis.

[0380] The lower the value of L*, the more powerful the coloration obtained.

[0381] The persistence of the color is evaluated by the color difference AE between the colored strands before shampooing, then after having undergone 5 successive shampoos. The lower the AE value, the more the color persists after shampooing.

[0382] The value of AE is calculated according to the following equation:

[0383] ;.....^2.......;......; ............,<2 AE =^(L -Lo*) + + (b -b0')

[0384] In this equation, L*, a* and b* represent the values measured after coloring the hair and after having undergone 5 shampoos, and Lo*, a0* and b0* represent the values measured after coloring the hair but before the 5 shampoos.

[0385] The results are collected in Table 2 below.

[0386] [Tables2] Composition Number of L* a* b* AE shampoos A comparative 0 39.00 21.61 15.97 - 5 46.08 14.19 10.32 11.7 B invention 0 34.99 27.29 20.41 - 5 38.05 20.97 15.24 8.7 C invention 0 35.33 24.25 17.34 - 5 36.63 21.59 17.56 3.0

[0387] The coloring obtained before undergoing the 5 shampoos is more powerful with the two compositions (lower L* values) according to the invention compared to the comparative composition.

[0388] The locks of hair colored with the two compositions according to the invention have a color difference AE between the locks colored before shampooing and then after having undergone 5 shampoos, which is much lower than the lock colored with composition A. The persistence of the coloring obtained with compositions B and C according to the invention is therefore significantly improved, compared to the coloring obtained with comparative composition A.

[0389] Thus, the colored coating obtained using the compositions according to the invention has a more powerful coloring and improved persistence to shampooing.
