Description

Title of the invention: Electric machine for mobility device

[0001] The present invention relates to the field of mobility devices, in particular motor vehicles, and more specifically aims at an electric machine for an electric propulsion system allowing the transmission of power to drive the wheels of such devices.

[0002] The electric propulsion system allowing the transmission of power in a motor vehicle, aims to rotate at least one wheel of the vehicle, by transmitting the torque supplied by a drive shaft, in particular electric or hybrid.

[0003] A belt-based power propulsion system is already known from document WO2021224148. The belt of the system is configured to drive at least one wheel. In other words, the belt is arranged in the torque transmission path between the engine and at least one wheel of the vehicle. The belt is thus configured to transmit the engine torque to at least one drive wheel of the vehicle, in particular to two drive wheels of the vehicle. The presence of such a belt requires precise and complex adjustments.

[0004] The present invention therefore aims to overcome one or more of the drawbacks of the systems of the prior art by proposing an electric machine for an improved electric propulsion system.

[0005] For this purpose, the present invention proposes a coupling system for an electric machine, between the reducer and the electric motor of the machine,

[0006] the coupling system being formed by two coupling elements, a first coupling element is arranged at a shaft of the reducer, and a second coupling element is arranged at a shaft of the electric motor.

[0007] Such a coupling element prevents the use of a belt. The absence of a belt simplifies the propulsion system, and limits operating problems linked to deterioration of the belt.

[0008] According to one embodiment of the invention, the first coupling element is formed by a first sleeve arranged at one end of the shaft of the reducer and the second coupling element is formed by a second sleeve arranged at one end of the shaft of the electric motor.

[0009] According to one embodiment of the invention, the second coupling element comprises a first end, arranged around the end of the shaft of the electric motor, which is extended by a second end configured to be positioned around the first coupling element.

[0010] According to one embodiment of the invention, the second coupling element comprises a second end whose internal diameter is greater than the diameter of the first end, so that this second end is positioned around the first coupling element to form the coupling surface.

[0011] According to one embodiment of the invention, the second coupling element comprises on its external face a torque transmission element of the splines or grooves type.

[0012] According to one embodiment of the invention, the first coupling element is fixed to the end of the shaft of the reducer by gluing, welding, screwing or by force insertion.

[0013] According to one embodiment of the invention, the second coupling element is fixed to the end of the shaft of the electric motor by gluing, welding, screwing or by force insertion.

[0014] The invention also relates to an electric machine for a mobility device comprising a coupling system according to the invention.

[0015] The invention also relates to the use of the electric machine according to the invention in a propulsion system for a mobility device.

[0016] The invention also relates to a mobility device comprising a coupling system according to the invention.

[0017] Other aims, characteristics and advantages of the invention will be better understood and will appear more clearly on reading the description given below, with reference to the appended figures, given by way of example and in which:

[0018] [Fig-1]: [Fig.l] is a schematic cross-sectional representation of the system according to the invention according to one embodiment of the invention,

[0019] [Fig.2]: [Fig.2] is a schematic cross-sectional representation of the system according to the invention according to another embodiment of the invention.

[0020] The invention, illustrated [Fig.l], relates to a coupling system for an electric machine, for example a propulsion system for a mobility device. The present invention is aimed in particular at use in a motor vehicle but also at use in any land, air or sea vehicle, intended for the transport of passengers or goods, light, intermediate or heavy, or even construction machinery or agricultural machinery.

[0021] In the context of the invention, a propulsion system is a system which allows propulsion and comprises the elements allowing the power from the engine to be transmitted to the wheel.

[0022] The electric machine comprises at least one motor 2, an electronic assembly 3, and a reducer 4 for transmitting the torque.

[0023] According to one embodiment of the invention, the motor 2 is an electric motor.

[0024] The electronic assembly 3 comprises the elements necessary for the operation of the electric motor 2.

[0025] According to one embodiment of the invention, the electronic assembly 3 is an inverter 3.

[0026] According to one embodiment of the invention, the inverter 3, the electric motor 2 and the reducer 4 are arranged one after the other along a longitudinal axis A. The longitudinal axis A is the longitudinal axis of the motor 2.

[0027] According to one embodiment of the invention, the inverter 3 is fixed to the motor 2 which is itself fixed to the reducer 4. The motor 2 is thus arranged between the inverter 3 and the reducer 4.

[0028] According to one embodiment of the invention, the inverter 3 is arranged at any location allowing the propulsion system to operate.

[0029] The electric motor 2 via the reducer 4 thus makes it possible to drive at least one rotating wheel. The reducer allows the application of a reduction ratio to the motor: it will reduce the output speed of the motor while increasing the torque to adapt to the operating requirements.

[0030] According to one embodiment of the invention, the coupling, via the motor shaft, between the motor 2 and the reducer 4 is direct. That is to say that it does not include a belt.

[0031] The absence of a belt simplifies the propulsion system, and limits operating problems linked to deterioration of the belt.

[0032] In the context of the invention, the coupling between the reducer 4 and the electric motor 2 is achieved by a coupling system 5.

[0033] According to one embodiment of the invention, the coupling is made at the level of the shaft 21 of the electric motor 2 and the shaft 41 of the reducer 4.

[0034] According to one embodiment of the invention, the coupling system 5 is formed by two coupling elements 51, 52.

[0035] According to one embodiment of the invention, a first coupling element 51 is arranged at the level of the shaft 41 of the reducer 4, and more precisely at the end 42 of the shaft 41 of the reducer 4.

[0036] According to one embodiment of the invention, the first coupling element 51 is formed by a first sleeve 51 arranged at the end 42 of the shaft 41 of the reducer 4.

[0037] According to one embodiment of the invention, the first coupling element 51 is fixed to the end 42 of the shaft 41 of the reducer by gluing, welding, screwing or by force insertion.

[0038] According to one embodiment of the invention, a second coupling element 52 is arranged at the level of the shaft 21 of the electric motor 2, and more precisely at the end 22 of the shaft 21 of the electric motor 2.

[0039] According to one embodiment of the invention, the second coupling element 52 is formed by a second sleeve 52 arranged at the end 22 of the shaft 21 of the motor 2 electric.

[0040] According to an embodiment of the invention, this second coupling element 52 comprises a first end 521 arranged around the end 22 of the shaft 21 of the electric motor 2 which is extended by a second end 522 whose internal diameter is greater than the diameter of the first end 521, so that this second end 522 is positioned around the first coupling element 51. That is to say that the first coupling element 51 is inserted into this second end 522 of the second coupling element 52. The contact between the two elements forms the coupling surface 55 [Fig.2]. The coupling surface comprises coupling grooves arranged on each of the contacting faces. The grooves of the face of the first element 51 cooperate with the grooves of the face of the second element 52.

[0041] Thus the electric motor 2 via its shaft 21 drives the reducer 4, via its shaft 41, directly thanks to the two coupling elements 51, 52.

[0042] According to one embodiment of the invention, the second coupling element 52 is fixed to the end 22 of the shaft 21 of the electric motor 2 at its first end 521 by gluing, welding, screwing or by force insertion.

[0043] Such a coupling system makes it possible to generate torque for mobility machines such as land, air, sea vehicles, intended for the transport of passengers or goods, light, intermediate or heavy, or even construction machines or agricultural machines with a compact direct coupling system which also reduces the noise impact and increases the efficiency of the coupling.

[0044] According to an embodiment of the invention illustrated [Fig.2], the second coupling element 52 comprises on its external face 53 a torque transmission element 54 of the spline or groove type.

[0045] These grooves 54 allow the torque to be transmitted via a belt.

[0046] Thus the electric machine comprises an interface for direct coupling and an interface for belt coupling when necessary.

[0047] Such an electric machine can be used in a 2, 3, 4 or more wheeled mobility device. And for example, a motor vehicle or a motorcycle, in propulsion, alternator-starter or hybrid mode.

[0048] The scope of the present invention is not limited to the details given above and allows embodiments in many other specific forms without departing from the scope of the invention. Therefore, the present embodiments should be considered by way of illustration, and may be modified without departing from the scope defined by the claims.
