Abstract

A method is implemented in a vehicle comprising an electric motor powered with electrical energy by a battery capable of being recharged by an external power source coupled to the vehicle, via a set of electrical components. This method comprises a step (10-80) in which, during recharging by the external power source, a difference is determined between a first electrical energy supplied by the latter and a second electrical energy absorbed by the battery, and, when this difference is greater than a first threshold chosen as a function of a theoretical electrical energy lost by the battery, information representative of an aging level is determined for each electrical component of this set, and the driver is notified of each electrical component having determined information representative of an aging level greater than an associated theoretical aging level.
