Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Arrangement for a vehicle side door comprising a movable window and a fixed trim. Technical field of the invention
[0001] The invention relates to an arrangement for a vehicle side door comprising a movable window and a fixed trim. The invention also relates to a side door comprising such an arrangement. The invention also relates to a vehicle comprising such an arrangement or at least one such side door. State of the prior art
[0002] A vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle, comprises at least one side door. Generally, such a vehicle comprises a front side door and at least one rear side door on each side of the vehicle. Such doors each comprise a movable window capable of moving between a closed position and at least one open position so as to be able to ventilate the passenger compartment and / or cool it and / or heat it depending on the external conditions.
[0003] Such a movable window generally slides along a front guide extending vertically at the front of a rear door and along a rear guide extending vertically at the rear of such a rear door. Such a rear guide hinders the entry of light into the passenger compartment at the rear seats, especially since such a rear guide generally includes an interior trim.
[0004] Such a situation is not optimal. Presentation of the invention
[0005] The aim of the invention is to provide an arrangement which overcomes the above drawbacks.
[0006] More specifically, an object of the invention is to improve in particular the clear window at the rear of the passenger compartment of a vehicle while being compatible with a movable window flush with the side of the body and the trim and / or the adjacent window(s). Summary of the invention
[0007] To achieve this objective, the invention relates to an arrangement for a vehicle side door, the arrangement comprising: - a movable window capable of moving between a closed position and at least one open position, the movable window comprising a first end comprising a main edge extending substantially vertically and at least one secondary edge extending obliquely, and a second end extending vertically or substantially vertically, - a fixed trim, in particular a glazed fixed trim, the fixed trim extending to immediate proximity of the main and secondary edges of the movable window in the closed position, the movable window in the closed position and the fixed trim being flush with each other in the transverse direction, - a main pad at the main edge of the first end of the movable window and a main guide at the fixed trim, the main guide cooperating with the pad to guide the first end of the movable window.
[0008] The arrangement may further comprise: - a window frame, - a secondary guide arranged at the second end of the movable window in the closed position, the secondary guide being able to be fixed to the window frame or the window frame being able to comprise the secondary guide.
[0009] The arrangement may comprise an upper shoe and a lower shoe at the second end cooperating with the secondary guide to guide the second end of the movable window.
[0010] The locations of the pads can constitute an isosceles triangle, the two sides of equal length of this triangle being on the one hand the distance between the main pad and the upper pad and on the other hand the distance between the main pad and the lower pad.
[0011] A top portion of the main guide cooperating with the pad may be located on a portion of the height of the visible portion of the closed window, the portion being able to be a height interval between 20% and 80% of the height of the visible portion of the closed window, preferably the portion being able to represent 50% of the height of the visible portion of the closed window, such that the locations of the pads do not constitute an isosceles triangle, the two sides of this triangle having different lengths, one of the sides being the distance between the main pad and the upper pad, the other of the sides being the distance between the main pad and the lower pad.
[0012] At least one pad can be fixed to an inner face of the movable window, in particular by gluing.
[0013] The main guide can be fixed to the fixed trim, in particular by gluing.
[0014] A seal may be arranged at a first junction extending between the fixed trim and the main edge of the window in the closed position, the seal being able to be arranged at a second junction extending between the fixed trim and the secondary edge of the window in the closed position, the seal possibly being overmolded between the first and second junctions.
[0015] The first end of the movable window can be arranged at the rear.
[0016] The invention also relates to a side door, in particular for a vehicle automobile, in particular a rear door, comprising an arrangement as defined above.
[0017] The invention also relates to a vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle, comprising at least one side door as defined previously, or an arrangement as defined previously. Presentation of figures

[0024] [Fig.6] is a schematic detail view of a seal of the arrangement according to one embodiment of the invention. Detailed description
[0025] The direction in which a vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle, moves in a straight line is defined as the longitudinal direction X. By convention, the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, located in a plane parallel to the ground, is called the transverse direction Y. The third direction, perpendicular to the other two, is called the vertical direction Z. Thus, a direct XYZ reference frame is used in which X is the longitudinal direction in the front-rear direction of the vehicle, therefore directed towards the rear, Y is the transverse direction directed towards the right and Z is the vertical direction directed upwards. The forward direction corresponds to the direction in which the vehicle usually moves in the longitudinal direction and is opposite to the rear direction.
[0026] [Fig.l] illustrates a vehicle 1, preferably a motor vehicle. The vehicle 1 comprises at least one side door. Preferably, the vehicle comprises a right front side door 4, a left front side door, a left rear side door and a right rear side door 2. The vehicle 1 further comprises at least one arrangement 3. Preferably, as will be illustrated and described below, at least the rear side door 2 comprises the arrangement 3. Preferably, the left rear side door also comprises an arrangement (not shown). Alternatively, or in addition, a front side door, or each front side door, includes an arrangement.
[0027] More specifically, as illustrated in Figures 1, 2 and 3, the arrangement 3 comprises a movable window 10. The window 10 is therefore able to be moved between a closed position and at least one open position illustrated in [Fig.l]. The movable window 10 advantageously has a curved shape, that is to say a shape of a portion of a cylinder with an axis extending longitudinally or substantially longitudinally. The concave face 14 of the movable window 10 is then on the passenger compartment side of the vehicle, that is to say on the interior side of the vehicle, as illustrated in Figures 4 and 5. The movable window 10 comprises a first end 11. The first end 11 comprises a main edge 12 extending vertically or substantially vertically. The main edge 12 is preferably straight or substantially straight. The first end 11 further comprises at least one secondary edge 13 extending obliquely. The secondary edge 13 is preferably straight or substantially straight. Although the illustrated embodiment comprises only one oblique secondary edge 13, the first end may comprise two or more secondary edges.
[0028] In the illustrated embodiment, the first end 11 of the movable window 10 is arranged at the rear, that is to say at the rear of the side rear door 2.
[0029] As illustrated in particular in [Fig. 3], the movable window 10 comprises a second end 15 extending vertically or substantially vertically. In the illustrated embodiment, the second end is therefore arranged at the front of the side rear door 2.
[0030] The arrangement 3 further comprises a fixed trim 20. Advantageously, the fixed trim 20 comprises a window or is a window. In this case, the fixed trim can have different appearances, for example by being covered with paint and / or by having a gradient and / or by having grooves on the passenger compartment side and / or on the exterior side, and / or by having screen printing. Alternatively, the fixed trim is made of another material, or at least comprises a material other than glass, for example plastic. The fixed trim 20 extends in the immediate vicinity of the main and secondary edges 12, 13 of the movable window 10 in the closed position of the movable window illustrated in particular in Figures 2 and 3. Indeed, as illustrated in the section of [Fig.4], the main edge 12 is in the vicinity, opposite a front edge 21 of the fixed trim 20.For example, the clearance Jl, measured in the longitudinal direction or substantially in the longitudinal direction, between the front edge 21 and the main edge 12 is between 1 mm and 8 mm, or even between 2 mm and 5 mm.
[0031] As illustrated in the section of [Fig.5], the secondary edge 13 is also close to, opposite the front edge 21 of the fixed trim 20. For example, the clearance J2 measured perpendicular to the secondary edge 13, between the front edge 21 and the secondary edge 13 is between 1 mm and 8 mm, or even between 2 mm and 5 mm. Preferably, it is sought to obtain similar, or even identical, clearances J1 and J2 so as to have aesthetic continuity, for example without visible difference between the clearances J1 and J2.
[0032] Note that the movable window 10 in the closed position and the fixed trim 20 are flush with each other in the transverse direction, that is to say without a difference in level in the transverse direction, as illustrated in Figures 4 and 5. More preferably, there is no seal, or strip, or seal support protruding in the transverse direction at the level of the gaps J1 and J2. Such a configuration avoiding breaks in aesthetic lines is known under the Anglo-Saxon name "Flush".
[0033] The arrangement 3 further comprises a main shoe 30. As illustrated in [Fig. 3], the main shoe 30 is arranged at the main edge 12 of the first end 11 of the movable window 10. The main shoe 30 is substantially in the middle, in the vertical direction, of the height H of the visible part of the closed window 10. Preferably, in particular depending on the geometry of the window in terms of main and secondary edges, the main shoe 30 is at the top, or substantially at the top, of the main edge 12, that is to say at the upper end of the main edge. Preferably, the main shoe 30 is therefore close to, or even tangent to, or is in contact with the bottom of the secondary edge 13. The main shoe is arranged at a point E of the window located at the junction between the bottom of the secondary edge 13 and the top of the main edge 12.
[0034] As illustrated in [Fig. 3], the arrangement 3 also comprises a main guide 40 at the fixed trim 20. More precisely, the main guide 40 cooperates with the main shoe 30 to guide the first end 11 of the movable window 10, more particularly to guide the main edge 12. In other words, the main guide 40 guides the main shoe 30 during the raising and lowering of the movable window.
[0035] In the case of a side door 2 comprising a window frame 50, as illustrated in FIGS. 4 and 5, the arrangement 3 further comprises a window frame 50. The arrangement 3 then further comprises a secondary guide 41 arranged at the second end 15 of the movable window 10 in the closed position, as illustrated in [Fig. 3]. The secondary guide 41 is preferably attached to the window frame 50. Alternatively, the window frame 50 comprises the secondary guide 4L. The arrangement 3 further comprises an upper shoe 31 and a lower shoe 32 at the second end 15 of the window 10. The lower and upper shoes 31, 32 cooperate with the secondary guide 41 to guide the second end 15 of the movable window 10. For example, the secondary guide 41 comprises a circular open section and the shoes 31, 32 comprise a substantially cylindrical shape to be housed and slide in the section open of the guide 41. Preferably, as illustrated in [Fig.3], the locations of the pads 30, 31, 32 constitute an isosceles triangle. In this case, one of the two sides of equal length of the triangle is the distance between the main pad 30 and the upper pad 31, or between the center of the main pad 30 in the vertical and longitudinal directions, and the center of the upper pad 31 in the vertical and longitudinal directions, with the window 10 closed. The other side of equal length of the triangle is the distance between the main pad 30 and the lower pad 32, or between the center of the main pad 30 in the vertical and longitudinal directions, and the center of the lower pad 32 in the vertical and longitudinal directions, with the window 10 closed.Preferably, a visible height H12 in the vertical direction of the main edge 12 when the window is closed is equal, or substantially equal, to a visible height H13 in the vertical direction of the secondary edge 13, when the window is closed, which is illustrated schematically in [Fig. 2]. In this case, the point E located at the junction between the main and secondary edges 12, 13 is centered on the visible area of the window 10 in the vertical direction. Preferably, a point D, at the second end 15, is centered on the visible area of the window 10 in the vertical direction. In other words, the points E and D are preferably substantially at the same level in the vertical direction. At least the points E and D are centered in the vertical direction respectively at the rear and at the front of the movable window 10 in the closed position. In this case, the distance between the upper shoe 31 and the point D and the distance between the lower shoe 32 and the point D are equal or substantially equal.
[0036] Alternatively, as illustrated in [Fig. 3], a top portion of the main guide 40 cooperating with the shoe 30 is located on a portion or zone F of the height H of the visible portion of the closed window 10. The portion F is, corresponds to, a height interval between 20 percent and 80 percent of the value of the height H of the visible portion of the closed window 10. In other words, the height H12 (see [Fig. 2]) has substantially a value between 20 percent and 80 percent of the visible height H of the window. Preferably, the portion F represents 50 percent of the height H of the visible portion of the closed window 10. The top portion is at the point E when the window is closed. Thus, the locations of the pads 30, 31, 32 do not constitute an isosceles triangle, the two sides of this triangle having different lengths, one of the sides being the distance between the main pad 30 and the upper pad 31, the other of the sides being the distance between the main pad 30 and the lower pad 32.
[0037] In this case the location of the pad 30 is placed in the vertical direction in the interval or portion F, that is to say below or above the mediator of a segment defined by the locations of the two pads 31, 32 when the window 10 is closed.
[0038] Note that at least one pad 30, 31, 32 is preferably fixed on the inner face 14 of the movable window 10. Preferably, all the pads 30, 31, 32 are fixed on the inner face of the window. Advantageously, the means of fixing each pad on the inner face 14 of the movable window 10 is gluing or a similar means.
[0039] As illustrated in [Fig. 4], preferably, the main guide 40 is fixed to the fixed trim 20. Advantageously, the fixing is ensured by glue or resin 45. Preferably, a film or paint or screen printing hides at least the fixing interface 45 between the main guide 40 and the fixed trim 20. Preferably, the interface 45 is deposited on an inner face 24, that is to say on the passenger compartment side, of the trim 20.
[0040] The arrangement preferably further comprises a seal. The seal portion 60A is arranged at a first junction 22 extending between the fixed trim 20 and the main edge 12 of the window in the closed position. The seal portion 60B is also arranged at a second junction 23 extending between the fixed trim 20 and the secondary edge 13 of the window in the closed position. In other words, the seal ensures sealing at the clearances J1 and J2 illustrated in Figures 4 and 5. As illustrated schematically in Figures 4, 5 and 6, the seal then preferably comprises the first portion 60A extending substantially vertically and being rectilinear or substantially rectilinear to follow the main edge 12. The seal comprises the second portion 60B extending obliquely and being rectilinear or substantially rectilinear to follow the secondary edge 13.The seal preferably also comprises a connector 61 for joining, connecting, the portions 60A, 60B. Thus, preferably, the seal is in a single part, that is to say in one piece. For example, the connector 61 is overmolded between the first and second portions 60A, 60B. The connector 61 is then for example invisible once assembled. Preferably, the sealing seal is fixed, for example by gluing, or fitted into a groove provided for this purpose, on or at a face 42 of the main guide 40 directed towards the outside of the vehicle.
[0041] Advantageously, as illustrated in [Fig. 3], the arrangement 3 further comprises a window regulator 70 for moving the movable window 10. Preferably, the window regulator 70 comprises a single rail 71. The rail is preferably arranged centrally in the longitudinal direction of the movable window 10, i.e. at the center of the segment ED. The rail 71 then extends vertically, or substantially vertically, in particular in the middle of the movable window in the longitudinal direction so as to push (to raise) or pull (to lower) the window at the middle of the movable window, in particular at its center of gravity in the longitudinal direction. Preferably, the window regulator or the arrangement or the door comprises a motor 72, advantageously a lightweight electric motor 72. The motor 72 makes it possible to drive in translation, for example via a movement transformation mechanism, the window 10 or a pin or a shoe 16 fixed for example in a lower portion 17 of the window 10. The lower portion 17 of the window is the part of the window remaining, hidden, within a box of the side door 2 when the window is closed. Thus, the motor 72 for example drives the sliding of the window along the rail 71 to ensure the opening and closing of the movable window 10. Preferably, the rail 71 extends perpendicularly, or substantially perpendicularly, to the segment ED. The guidance of the window is for example ensured at the front over the entire height H, and is ensured at the rear over substantially half of the height H, namely substantially the height H12, which is sufficient as will be seen later. Thus, the window regulator assembly is light and inexpensive.
[0042] Preferably, the trim has substantially a two-pronged boomerang shape so as to follow the change in orientation between the main edge 12 and the secondary edge 13. As mentioned previously and illustrated in particular in FIGS. 4 and 5, an external or external face 18 of the movable window 10 extends in continuity with an external face 28 of the fixed trim 20, that is to say without lateral offset. Thus, surface continuity is obtained on either side of the gaps J1 and J2. Only a withdrawal towards the interior of the vehicle, at the gaps J1 and J2, stops the continuity between the surface 18 of the movable window in the closed position and the external surface 28 (preferably also glazed) of the trim 20. A “flush” configuration is therefore obtained, in particular between the window and the trim.Furthermore, the shape of the trim suggests that the trim opens into the clearance between the rear side door 2 and a bodywork element 5, for example a body side element, arranged adjacent to the door 2, in particular towards the rear of the vehicle. This bodywork element 5 is for example a quarter window, another trim or even a part of the body side.
[0043] Thanks to the presence of the fixed trim 20, it is possible to avoid providing a small fixed window, on the door, behind the movable window 10. This eliminates the need to arrange a guide, at the rear and over the entire height of the movable window between such a small fixed window and the movable window. Thanks to the absence of this guide, generally dressed within the passenger compartment, the brightness or light from the bay within the passenger compartment is improved, in particular at the level of the rear seats.
[0044] Thanks to the solution, although the side door 2 preferably comprises a frame 50, also called a mixed door, this frame 50 is advantageously not visible from the outside of the vehicle, silkscreen-type patterns and / or paint being for example affixed to areas of the fixed trim and the movable window. Such patterns also make it possible to hide the main guide 40, the pad 30, and a lip-type seal 65 preferably extending from the main guide 40 and licking the face interior 14 of the movable window 10 (see figures 4 and 5), in the closed position of the window 10.
[0045] Furthermore, the seal is ensured by the seal 60A, 61, 60B extending respectively at the first junction 22 between the main edge 12 and the trim and at the second junction 23 between the secondary edge 13 and the trim, and is completed by the lip seal or scraper 65. Although the lips are illustrated deployed in Figures 4 and 5, it should be understood that they only deploy in this way when the window 10 is lowered, that is to say when the window does not come into contact with the lips of the seal.
[0046] The solution therefore offers controlled and suitable sealing.
[0047] In summary, the solution makes it possible to replace the rear guide as well as a small rear door window with the fixed trim 20 while arranging it so as to obtain continuity in the transverse direction, that is to say to obtain continuity of the external face 18 of the movable window 10 (in the closed position) with the external face 28 of the fixed trim 20.
[0048] Furthermore, thanks to the solution, the visible outline of the movable window is not rectangular or square in shape, which helps to optimize the window clearness.
[0049] All this contributes to a remarkable perceived quality and optimal aesthetics.
[0050] Note that the guidance of the rear of the movable window 10 is only ensured along the main edge 12, via the main guide 40. As a reminder, the main edge 12 extends substantially vertically. Advantageously, the main edge 12 is therefore parallel, or substantially parallel, to the secondary guide 41 arranged in front of the movable window 10 as illustrated in [Fig. 3]. Thus, in the case of a junction point E between the main edge 12 and the secondary edge 13 of the window 10 arranged substantially in the middle of the height H of the visible part of the window in the closed position (see Figures 2 and 3), the guidance of the rear of the movable window is only ensured over half of the height H, or substantially half of the height H.Thus, the trim 20, more precisely the main guide 40 arranged behind, preferably fixed on the trim, guides the window over approximately half of the height H, preferably over at least half of the visible height H of the movable window in the closed position. In other words, no guidance of the secondary edge 13 extending obliquely is ensured during the closing and opening cycles of the movable window 10. Indeed, the remainder of the rear of the rear window, the inclined section 13, requires little or no guidance. The inclined secondary edge 13, however, has the continuity of the sealing profiles 60B, 65 up to the sealing profiles of an upper slide 55 extending above the window. In the case of a mixed door, with a frame, the movable window 10 rests on the sealing lips 60B, 65, which suggests a sealing system for a door without a frame.
[0051] Note that such partial guidance at the rear is possible thanks to the triangulation of the pads 30, 31, 32 arranged so as to avoid the arching of the window relative to the guides 40, 41. As a reminder, the triangle formed by the pads is isosceles, the apex of the isosceles triangle being the main pad 30 guiding the top of the main edge 12. This guidance is further optimized thanks to the rail 71 of the window regulator arranged to extend perpendicular to the segment ED (see [Fig. 3]). As a reminder, the lateral glazed surface 10 is a part of a cylinder, that is to say that it is preferably curved, the concave side preferably being on the passenger compartment side. This cylinder shape matches the midpoint D at the middle foot (also called foot B) to point E at the rear foot (also called foot C) to position the top of the main runner or slider 30 relative to this rear foot (see [Fig.3]).In other words, the pads are located at the vertices of an isosceles triangle such that the median at the vertex E intersects the base of the triangle at the midpoint D. Thus the positions of points E and D, and consequently those of the pads 30, 31 and 32, provide balancing from a mechanical point of view for guiding the movable window 10.
[0052] Preferably, the pads or sliding means 31, 32 at the center pillar cooperate with respect to, or in, or with respect to a rail or guide so as to form a slide extending along the vertical axis Z or substantially along this vertical axis. Advantageously, the guide rail at the center pillar is tubular, for example substantially rectilinear. As illustrated in [Fig. 4], the main pad 30 cooperates with respect to, or in, or with respect to the rail or guide 40 so as to form a sliding connection preferably with a degree of freedom in the longitudinal direction. In other words, the guide rail 40 comprises a hollow profile 43 in the shape of a U or equivalent, open towards the front of the vehicle for example, and the pad 30 comprises a protrusion or protuberance or projection 33 extending for example towards the rear and being able to be housed at least partially in the U of the hollow profile 43.In other words, the main skate 30 is relatively free at its sliding connection which also extends substantially in the vertical direction Z while preferably being substantially rectilinear.
[0053] This partial guiding of the rear of the movable window 10 is also made possible thanks to the single-piece sealing joint, at least comprising parts 60A, 60B, 61 joined, sealed, or even overmolded to each other.
[0054] Advantageously, the means for operating the window of the window lifter type 70 is rather of the “window pusher” type, that is to say that the window is pushed, translated in the vertical direction preferably, with a single arm or rail. In other words, the operation of the movable window is optimized so as to lighten its mass and consequently the mass of the side door concerned, in particular for the purpose of economy in terms of manufacturing, and improvement of autonomy in the case of an electric vehicle in particular.
[0055] Note that the solution does not complicate or prolong the implementation steps work and assembly within the side rear door.
[0056] Although the solution has been described for a fixed trim arranged at the rear of a rear side door, it can be adapted to a fixed trim arranged at the front of a rear side door and / or to a fixed trim arranged at the rear of a front side door and / or to a fixed trim at the front of a front side door.
[0057] The invention is particularly suitable for a vehicle, in particular an automobile, and can be used for a truck, a bus, a coach, or even a floating boat.
