Safety gate for children

A safety gate for a doorframe, which is able to prevent small children from going into a restricted or dangerous area, has a lock that requires two different and independent steps to proceed the unlock process. Furthermore, after the lock is unlocked, the user still needs to lift the plate body before the pivotal movement of the plate body with respect to the first side bar is possible.

Modular fence assembly

A fence assembly includes anchor brackets mountable to a first support wall. An anchor post is conjoined to the anchor brackets, has opposed top and bottom ends and is formed from rigid and non-corrosive material. Couplings are conjoined to the anchor post, are detachable therefrom and positional along a length thereof. A cylindrical housing defines a cavity therein, is provided with a slot and is formed from rigid and non-corrosive material. A screen passes through the slot, is formed from transparent material and can be adapted along at least a 180 degree arcuate path when extended. A rectilinear auxiliary post is permanently attached to a distal screen end, travels along an entire length thereof and is situated to an exterior of the housing. Latching brackets are connected to the auxiliary post and are engageable to a second support wall.

Safety gate assembly

A safety gate assembly includes a frame which may be secured across a door opening, stairway or the like and comprises a base and two upstanding limbs and a gate. One side of the gate is connected by one or more pivotal connections to the one limb of the frame to permit pivotable movement of the gate with respect to the frame about a pivotal axis. The other side of the gate carries a latch member, which cooperates with a latch connected to the other limb of the frame. The latch defines a locked position, in which pivotable movement of the gate is prevented. The pivotal connection is constructed to permit linear movement of the gate relative to the frame in a direction parallel to the pivotal axis. The latch member cooperates with a biasing spring arranged to urge the latch member in the direction away from the said one side of the gate. The latch defines a recess, which is adapted to accommodate a portion of the latch member and laterally adjacent which is an entry ramp and extending vertically into which is an exit ramp. The entry ramp is constructed and arranged so that when the gate is pivoted into the closed position the latch member engages the entry ramp and is moved progressively against the force of the biasing means in the direction towards the said one side of the gate until the latch member is in registry with the recess and the biasing means then urges the latch member into the recess. Further pivotal movement of the gate is then prevented and the gate is in a locked position. The exit ramp is constructed and arranged so that when the gate is moved linearly upwardly, the latch member engages the exit ramp and is moved by it progressively in the direction towards the said one side of the gate until it is out of the recess, whereafter the gate may be moved pivotally into the open position.

Roll-up barrier

A roll-up barrier has a base, an end cap, a drive shaft connected between the base and the end cap, a rolling assembly, a resilient element and a flexible barrier. The end cap has an arresting mechanism having a control button and an arrestor. The rolling assembly is mounted rotatably around the drive shaft and has a rolling bushing. The rolling bushing has an actuator and multiple one-way arresting teeth. The resilient element provides a reposition force for rolling back the rolling assembly. The flexible barrier is mounted retractably around the rolling assembly. When the control button is pressed and rotated, the actuator detaches the arrestor from the arresting teeth to allow rotation of the rolling assembly. When the control button is released, the arrestor engages the arresting teeth to prevent the rolling assembly from rotation so the flexible barrier can be pulled out and held at a desired length.

Child safety gate

The child safety gate comprises a rigid frame structure including a pair of transversely spaced rigid upright frame legs and an intermediate leg positioned at right angles to the upright frame legs, a flexible gate member having means securing the gate member in unitary assembly with the rigid frame structure; and a pair of flexible strap-like adjustable hinges secured to the transversely spaced rigid upright frame legs for securing the flexible adjustable foldable hinges to stairway posts. Each of the flexible adjustable hinges is comprised of a flexible top strip piece having a cushioned non-slip fabric layer secured on an inside surface and each of the strip pieces and the cushioned non-slip fabric layer are sized, shaped and positioned for assembled contact with upright stairway posts to present slipping of the straps thereby keeping the gate firmly position and to avoid scratching of the upright stairway posts when attached to the upright stairway posts. The flexible adjustable hinges each have releasable fastener means for attaching the three sided rigid frame structure to any shape and size-stairway posts in assembled relation.

A gate assembly is provided for positioning in an opening through which selective entry is required. The gate assembly includes barrier means mountable directly or indirectly to one or more surrounding surfaces defining the opening. Hinge means are provided to allow the barrier means to be movable relative to the surrounding surfaces in use between a closed position, wherein the opening is closed, to an open position, wherein the opening is open. The hinge means include a hinge pin movably mounted in a channel or recess. The channel or recess receiving the hinge pin in use has a taper which narrows from an opening of said channel or recess through which said hinge pin is located in use towards a base or opposite end of said recess or channel.

Retractable pet guard

The retractable pet guard has a screen or net extending retractably from a housing which is temporarily secured to either the latch edge of a door or to the latch side of a door frame. The extension edge of the net secures removably to the opposite member of the door assembly, extending across the doorway when the door is opened. The device extends from the floor upwardly to about the level of the doorknob and latch, thereby preventing the escape of pets and / or small children while still permitting a transaction(s) to take place through the open doorway above the screen or net. A stop may be provided to prevent door closure due to the pull of the retraction mechanism, and / or a retraction stop may be provided to prevent retraction as desired. The device may also be installed in a window opening to serve as a window screen, if desired.

Gate

A gate for providing a barrier to an opening comprises a frame which is securable in the opening and a gate attached to the frame and pivotable to open and close the opening. A lock mechanism releasably secures the top and bottom of the gate to the frame and comprises a housing secured to the top of the gate, an operating handle movable vertically with respect to the housing, a latch secured to the handle for releasably engaging the top of said frame, and a locking rod fixed to the operating handle for releasably engaging the bottom of the frame. At least one coil spring is compressed between the operating handle and housing for biasing the operating handle downwardly to a position where the latch engages the top of the frame and the locking rod engages the lower frame member to lock the gate closed.

Protective railing

A protective railing includes a frame, a railing body, a lockset, two fix unit and plural position members. The position members secure the frame to a doorframe or in a passageway. If the railing body is to be opened, a push button on a grip is shifted to move a deadbolt inward to separate from an insert hole of the railing body, and then the grip is pressed down to move up a rack together with a connect tube, with a stop block of the rack and the connect tube separate from between two stoppers of the fix unit, unlocking the lock set to let the railing body opened. To lock the lockset, after the railing body is closed, the push button is shifted outward to move the deadbolt to insert in the insert hole of the raining body, finishing locking process.
