Title of the invention: Foam padding for a motor vehicle's hinged rearview mirror

[0001] The technical context of the present invention is that of the design of external safety features of motor vehicles, enabling a driver to perceive the road scene around their vehicle. More particularly, the invention relates to a foam lining for a hinged rearview mirror of a motor vehicle.

[0002] In the prior art, surface-mounted exterior mirrors are known, such that a base of the mirror is fixed rigidly to a body element and supports a mirror body.
