Description

Title of the invention: Guardrail support device technical field

[0001] The present invention relates to the field of construction, and more particularly to the field of safety for persons working at height on construction sites where wall panels are used, such as prefabricated or site-made wall panels.

[0002] A wall panel may, for example, be a wall made up of a plurality of construction elements, substantially parallelepiped in shape, assembled together, or be a monolithic wall made of aggregates, wood chips and cement, for example, said wall being able to be manufactured at a location other than the location where the wall is intended to be permanently installed or to be manufactured on site. A wall panel may also have integrated formwork (for example, of type MCI or type MCII), or be single or multi-wall.

[0003] After assembly, generally in a factory, a prefabricated wall panel is transported from a manufacturing site to an installation site. The prefabricated wall panel is then placed in position at the installation site before the construction of a slab, prior to the construction of an upper floor itself composed of one or more additional prefabricated wall panels. State of the art

[0004] It is known in the prior art to use collective fall protection systems to secure work at height and prevent any risk of falls during construction activities. The presence of these collective fall protection systems, such as temporary guardrails placed around the perimeter of the building, for example, is obviously necessary to ensure the safety of people working on construction sites, but their installation is often time-consuming and tedious on the construction site. Among the various collective fall protection solutions, the guardrail system remains the most widely used.Guardrails traditionally comprise a plurality of support devices fixed to a wall panel installed or fabricated on the final installation site, and for example to prefabricated wall panels, a plurality of safety posts assembled to the support devices, and rails configured to connect the safety posts together.

[0005] In the typical case of masonry work carried out on the final installation site, collective fall protection systems are fixed to and through the walls as work progresses by the contractors and are positioned outside the structure to be protected, i.e., attached to the facade. The guardrails are raised by vertical posts. of floor height as the construction rises. Besides the reliability of such an implementation, besides the quantity of material needed to secure the entire facade, the removal of these so-called "climbing" guardrails reveals difficulties in removing them safely at the end of the construction (since they are located outside the structure and are difficult to access).

[0006] In the case of prefabricated wall panels, it is known in the prior art to install the retaining devices during manufacturing, that is, before the prefabricated wall panel is installed at the final installation site. The retaining devices are then mechanically connected (welded and / or screwed, for example) to the prefabricated wall panel. This type of retaining device allows a user to quickly and easily install the safety posts. However, this type of retaining device has major drawbacks, the first being the impossibility of modifying the position or spacing of the retaining devices, for example.Another drawback lies in the impossibility, on site, of reusing the support devices used during the construction of the first floor to secure the installation of prefabricated wall panels directly above the first prefabricated wall panels already installed. Indeed, the support devices as used in the prior art are generally embedded in the construction material during the construction of the floor separating two levels of prefabricated wall panels. It is therefore necessary, after the floor has been constructed and before installing the prefabricated wall panels directly above the first prefabricated wall panels already installed, to fix a second set of support devices to the floor, offset inwards relative to the first set of support devices, and to fix the guardrail to the support devices belonging to this second set. Summary of the invention

[0007] The present invention aims to remedy, partially or totally, the aforementioned drawbacks.

[0008] The technical problem underlying the invention consists in particular of providing a conforming support device for a simplified installation of guardrails on a construction site, which is of simple, compact and economical structure, while allowing adaptation of the position of the support device to the actual conditions of the construction site.

[0009] To this end, the present invention relates to a retaining device configured to be assembled to a wall panel, and for example to a prefabricated wall panel, and in particular a prefabricated integrated formwork wall, for example of type MCI or type MCII, which extends along an elevation plane and is designed to cooperate with a guardrail safety post, the support device comprising:

[0010] - a fastening part configured to be attached and fixed in a removable manner to the wall panel, the fixing part extending along a first axis of extension which is configured to extend substantially vertically when the retaining device is in a configuration of use;

[0011] - a support part configured to bear against, and more particularly to rest on, the upper surface of the wall panel; and

[0012] - an assembly part configured to cooperate removably with an additional assembly part provided on the safety post, the assembly part extending along a second axis of extension which is substantially parallel to the first axis of extension.

[0013] Such a configuration of the retaining device according to the present invention allows for easy installation of the retaining device's fixing portion on a wall panel and also for easy adjustment of the fixing portion's position to take into account the actual conditions of the construction site. Thus, the retaining device according to the present invention allows for easy, secure, and reliable assembly of a guardrail intended to secure a user's work at height on a wall panel.

[0014] Furthermore, since the fixing part is configured to be removably fixed to the wall panel, it is possible, after pouring a floor slab, to dismantle the retaining device and reuse it to secure the installation of prefabricated wall panels of an upper floor, which makes it possible to significantly reduce the costs of securing the construction of a structure and in particular a structure comprising a large number of floors.

[0015] Furthermore, the specific configuration of the retaining device according to the present invention allows easy removal of the retaining device from inside the structure and thus avoids any risk of the latter falling towards the facade of the structure under construction.

[0016] The retaining device may also have one or more of the following characteristics, which may be taken alone or in combination.

[0017] According to one embodiment of the invention, the assembly part is a female assembly part, and the complementary assembly part is a male assembly part.

[0018] According to one embodiment of the invention, the assembly part has a substantially circular cross-section.

[0019] According to one embodiment of the invention, the assembly part has a substantially rectangular, and for example square, cross-section.

[0020] According to one embodiment of the invention, the retaining device comprises a main body including the fixing part and the assembly part.

[0021] According to one embodiment of the invention, the main body is made in one piece, that is to say it is monobloc.

[0022] According to one embodiment of the invention, the support part is substantially flat and is configured to extend substantially perpendicularly to the plane of elevation when the retaining device is in the configuration of use.

[0023] According to one embodiment of the invention, the support part is located between the assembly part and the fixing part, and is configured to mechanically connect the assembly part to the fixing part.

[0024] According to one embodiment of the invention, the support part is provided on the main body.

[0025] According to one embodiment of the invention, the support portion is a support shoulder provided on the main body. Advantageously, the support shoulder is located at the junction between the fastening portion and the assembly portion.

[0026] According to one embodiment of the invention, the fixing part is configured to be removably fixed to the wall panel.

[0027] According to one embodiment of the invention, the fixing part is configured to extend along and against a wall of the wall panel when the retaining device is in the operating configuration.

[0028] According to one embodiment of the invention, the retaining device comprises a retaining member separate from the main body and comprising the support part, the retaining member being mounted, for example in a removable manner, on the main body.

[0029] According to one embodiment of the invention, the retaining member is movable between an insertion position in which the retaining member is inserted at least partially inside the main body and a withdrawal position in which the retaining member is dissociated from the main body.

[0030] According to one embodiment of the invention, the support part is configured to extend transversely to the first extension axis and to the second extension axis.

[0031] According to one embodiment of the invention, the retaining member is a retaining pin. Such a configuration of the invention makes it easier, for example, to remove the retaining device.

[0032] According to one embodiment of the invention, the fixing part is configured to be inserted at least partially inside an internal arrangement, such as a cavity, defined by at least one construction element forming the wall panel and opening into the upper face of the wall panel.

[0033] According to one embodiment of the invention, at least one building element forming the wall panel is a building brick.

[0034] According to one embodiment of the invention, the fixing portion has a length substantially equal to 1.5 times the height of a structural element that makes up the wall panel. Such a length may nevertheless vary depending on the material of the fixing portion and the nature of the wall panel.

[0035] According to one embodiment of the invention, the first extension axis and the second extension axis are substantially coincident.

[0036] According to one embodiment of the invention, the first extension axis and the second extension axis are laterally offset from each other, such that, when the retaining device is in its operating configuration, the assembly portion is offset from the wall panel, i.e., it is not located directly above the wall panel. This feature of the retaining device advantageously allows the receiving portion to be offset towards the interior of the structure. It is thus possible to install the safety element without hindering the installation of a second wall panel on top of the wall panel already in position. Even more advantageously, this allows only one retaining device to be used, and thus lost, when constructing the floor slab separating each height of wall panels.

[0037] According to one embodiment of the invention, the fastening part is formed at least partially by a profile. Such a configuration of the invention makes it possible to increase the bending resistance of the fastening part when a force is exerted on the safety post.

[0038] According to one embodiment of the invention, the profile has a U-shaped form.

[0039] According to one embodiment of the invention, the fastening part is substantially tubular.

[0040] According to one embodiment of the invention, the fastening part has a circular cross-section.

[0041] According to one embodiment of the invention, the fastening part has a free end that is beveled. Such a configuration of the invention advantageously allows the end of the fastening part to be used to overcome imperfections and / or cement that may be present during the installation of the retaining device in the operating configuration.

[0042] According to one embodiment of the invention, the retaining device comprises a dismantling element, such as a dismantling sleeve, also called a formwork release element, configured to extend at least around an extension portion provided on the fixing or assembly part and intended to be cast in concrete forming a floor slab. In other words, the dismantling element is intended to be cast in the concrete forming a floor slab. Advantageously, the extension portion extends substantially parallel at the first axis of extension, and is therefore configured to extend substantially vertically when the holding device is in the usage configuration.

[0043] According to one embodiment of the invention, the dismantling element is made at least partially of a deformable material, such as a deformable foam or a plastic or elastic material, which is configured to allow a displacement of the main body substantially transverse to the first axis of extension during the removal of the main body.

[0044] According to one embodiment of the invention, the dismantling element and the extension portion are configured to define a defined upper radial clearance between an upper part of the dismantling element and the extension portion, and a defined lower radial clearance between a lower part of the dismantling element and the extension portion, the upper radial clearance and the lower radial clearance being configured to facilitate the removal of the main body once the floor slab has solidified around the dismantling element.

[0045] According to one embodiment of the invention, the extension portion is configured to extend substantially vertically.

[0046] According to one embodiment of the invention, the dismantling element is tubular and is configured to extend along the first extension axis or the second extension axis.

[0047] According to one embodiment of the invention, the main body and the demolding element are detachable from each other along a dismantling direction that is substantially parallel to the first axis of extension. Such a configuration of the invention advantageously prevents contact between the main body and the concrete, intended to form the floor slab, during pouring. Thus, after the floor slab has hardened, it is possible to dismantle the retaining device, and more specifically, to dismantle the main body. The demolding element is then lost within the floor slab.

[0048] According to one embodiment of the invention, the main body is removable relative to the dismantling element in a downward direction of withdrawal, and more specifically by applying a vertical force from top to bottom, using a hammer for example, at the level of an upper end of the assembly part.

[0049] According to one embodiment of the invention, the main body is removable from the dismantling element in an upward direction of removal, and more specifically by applying a vertical force from bottom to top, by means of a hammer for example, at the level of a lower end of the fixing part or by means of a pulling member placed in an insertion hole provided at the level of an upper end of the assembly part for example.

[0050] According to one embodiment of the invention, the dismantling element is configured to cover the retaining device over the entire thickness of the floor slab in the installation configuration.

[0051] According to one embodiment of the invention, the fixing part is configured to extend along and against an external wall of the wall panel when the retaining device is in the operating configuration.

[0052] According to one embodiment of the invention, the fixing part is configured to extend along and against an external wall of the wall panel that faces the interior side of the building under construction.

[0053] According to one embodiment of the invention, the fixing part comprises a bearing face configured to bear against an external vertical wall of the wall panel, the bearing part being configured to protrude from said bearing face of the fixing part.

[0054] According to one embodiment of the invention, the fastening part further comprises at least one passage opening configured to allow the passage of a fastening member, such that the cooperation between the fastening part and the fastening member makes it possible to maintain the fastening part in the configuration of use.

[0055] According to one embodiment of the invention, at least one passage orifice has a substantially circular shape.

[0056] According to one embodiment of the invention, at least one passage opening has an oblong shape. This advantageously allows adjustment of the vertical position of the fixing part, for example.

[0057] According to one embodiment of the invention, the fastening member is configured to pass through the wall panel and the fastening part.

[0058] According to one embodiment of the invention, the retaining device further comprises a stabilization device, such as a stabilizing strut for example, which is configured to bear on a floor surface that is separate from the wall panel on the one hand, and to be secured with the fixing part on the other hand.

[0059] According to one embodiment of the invention, the stabilization device is configured to be secured with the fastening member.

[0060] According to one embodiment of the invention, the support part extends perpendicularly to the first and second axes of extension.

[0061] According to one embodiment of the invention, the fixing part and the assembly part are arranged on either side of the support part.

[0062] According to one embodiment of the invention, the fixing part is configured to extend along and against an internal wall of the wall panel when the retaining device is in the operating configuration. Brief description of the figures

[0075] Unless otherwise stipulated, the term "substantially" means, in this document, "exactly or to within 10% or to within 10°".

[0076] In this document, "wall panel" means a vertical structural element which may be made of masonry or concrete, which may be prefabricated or not, which may have integrated formwork or not, and may be single or multi-walled.

[0077] Figures 1 to 5 represent a holding device 1 according to a first embodiment of the invention.

[0078] The retaining device 1 is configured to be assembled to a wall panel 2, such as a prefabricated wall panel or a prefabricated formwork wall, for example, of type MCI or type MCII, which extends along an elevation plane PI and is formed by building elements, such as construction bricks. The retaining device 1 comprises a fixing portion 3, a support portion 4, and an assembly portion 5, and is intended to cooperate with a safety post 6 of a guardrail 7 ([Fig. 4]). More specifically, the retaining device 1 comprises a main body 100, which is made in one piece, and which includes the fixing portion 3 and the assembly portion 5.

[0079] The fixing part 3 extends along a first extension axis Al which is configured to extend vertically when the retaining device 1 is in a usage configuration. By usage configuration is meant a configuration in which the retaining device 1 is assembled with the wall panel 2 on the one hand, and is configured to cooperate with the safety post 6 on the other hand.

[0080] According to the first embodiment of the invention, the fixing part 3 is configured to be attached and removably fixed to the wall panel 2 and to extend along and against an external wall 8 (which gives on the inside side of the building under construction) of the wall panel 2 when the retaining device 1 is in the configuration of use.

[0081] According to the first embodiment of the invention, the fastening part 3 is substantially tubular, and for example, has a rectangular cross-section. Such a configuration of the invention facilitates assembly, for example by welding, between the fastening part 3 and the assembly part 5. Advantageously, the fastening part 3 has a bearing face 9 configured to bear against an external wall 8, and more particularly a vertical external wall, of the wall panel 2.

[0082] The fastening portion 3 further comprises at least one through-hole 10, which may, for example, be circular or oblong, and configured to allow the passage of a fastener 11, such that the interaction between the fastening portion 3 and the fastener 11 makes it possible to maintain the fastening portion 3 in its operating configuration. Advantageously, the fastener 11 is configured to pass through the wall panel 2 and the fastening portion 3.

[0083] The support portion 4 is formed by a support flange, for example square or circular, located at the junction between the fixing portion 3 and the assembly portion 5. The support flange is configured to extend transversely to the first extension axis A1 and is configured to bear against, and more particularly to rest at least partially on, an upper face 12 of the wall panel 2 when the retaining device 1 is in its operating configuration. Advantageously, the support portion 4 is configured to extend substantially perpendicular to the elevation plane PI when the retaining device 1 is in its operating configuration. This configuration of the retaining device 1 allows for easy installation of the fixing part 3, provided on the main body 100, onto the wall panel 2.

[0084] The assembly part 5 is configured to cooperate, in a removable manner, with a complementary assembly part provided on the safety post 6. According to the embodiment of the invention as shown in Figures 1 and 2, the assembly part 5 is a female assembly part, and the complementary assembly part is a male assembly part intended to be inserted into the assembly part 5. Advantageously, the assembly part 5 is tubular and has a circular cross-section. Although not shown in the figures, an alternative embodiment of the invention in which the assembly part 5 is a male part, and in which the complementary assembly part is a female part, is envisaged and offers the same advantages.

[0085] The assembly part 5 extends along a second extension axis A2 which is substantially parallel to the first extension axis AL

[0086] According to the first embodiment of the invention, the first extension axis A1 and the second extension axis A2 are laterally offset from each other, such that, when the retaining device 1 is in its operating configuration, the assembly part 5 is offset from the wall panel 2, i.e., it is not attached to the wall panel 2. This feature of the retaining device 1 advantageously allows the assembly part 5 to be offset from the inside of the structure defined by the wall panel 2. It is thus possible to install the guardrail 7 without hindering the installation of a second wall panel 2 on top of the wall panel 2 already in position.

[0087] As can be seen more specifically in [Fig. 2], the retaining device 1 includes a dismantling element 14, such as a dismantling sleeve, configured to extend at least around a vertically extending portion 15 provided on the assembly part 5 and intended to be cast in concrete forming a floor slab. In other words, the dismantling element 14 is intended to be cast in the concrete forming a floor slab (Figures 3 and 4). Advantageously, the dismantling element 14 is tubular and may, for example, have an overall cylindrical or frustoconical shape, and is configured to extend along the second extension axis A2.

[0088] Advantageously, the dismantling element 14 has a height greater than or equal to the thickness of the floor slab, and is thus configured to cover the main body 100 over the entire thickness of the floor slab when the retaining device 1 is in the installed configuration. According to the embodiment As shown in [Fig. 3], the dismantling element 14 and the extension portion 15 define an upper radial clearance between an upper part of the dismantling element 14 and the extension portion 15, and a lower radial clearance between a lower part of the dismantling element 14 and the extension portion 15. The upper and lower radial clearances are configured to facilitate the removal of the main body 100 once the floor slab has solidified around the dismantling element 14. The dismantling element 14 may also be made, at least partially, of a deformable material, such as a deformable foam or a plastic or elastic material, which is configured to allow the main body 100 to move substantially transversely to the second extension axis A2 during its removal.

[0089] Advantageously, the main body 100 and the dismantling element 14 are detachable from each other along a dismantling direction that is substantially parallel to the second extension axis A2. More particularly, the main body 100 and the dismantling element 14 are detachable from each other along a downward withdrawal direction, i.e., from the bottom of the floor slab. Such a configuration of the invention prevents contact between the main body 100 and the concrete intended to form the floor slab during pouring, and allows for dismantling of the main body 100 after the floor slab has hardened. The dismantling element 14 is, for its part, embedded within the floor slab. The dismantling of the main body 100 relative to the dismantling element 14 in the direction of withdrawal is carried out by applying a vertical force from top to bottom, using a hammer for example, at the level of an upper end of the assembly part 5.

[0090] The support device 1 may further include a stabilizing device 300 ([Fig. 4]), such as a stabilizing prop, for example. The stabilizing device 300 is configured to bear on a ground surface that is separate from the wall panel 2 on the one hand, and to be secured to the fixing portion 3 on the other. To facilitate installation on the construction site, the stabilizing device 300 is configured to be secured to the wall panel by being inserted between the fixing portion 3 and the fixing member 11.

[0091] As shown more specifically in [Fig. 5], the retaining device 1 is also configured to be assembled to a wall panel 2 formed by an integrated formwork wall comprising two formwork elements 400 and an insulating element 500, also called MCII for "Integrated Insulating Formwork Wall". The retaining device 1 is thus configured to be assembled to a very wide and non-limiting range of wall panels 2. The wall panel 2 shown in [Fig. 5] differs from the wall panel in [Fig. 3] in particular in that its design is initiated off-site. construction (preparation of the formwork elements 400 and the insulating element 500), then concrete 600 is poured, on the installation site, in the internal space delimited by the formwork elements 400 and the insulating element 500.

[0092] Figures 6 and 7 represent a second embodiment of the invention, which differs from the first embodiment essentially in that the fixing part 3 is formed partially by a profile which has a U-shape. Such a configuration of the invention makes it possible to increase the flexural resistance of the fixing part 3 when a force is exerted on the safety post 6.

[0093] The second embodiment of the invention differs from the first embodiment also in that the retaining device 1 comprises a retaining member 120, such as a retaining pin, separate from the main body 100 and comprising the bearing portion 4. The retaining member 120 is removably mounted on the main body 100. The bearing portion 4 is configured to extend transversely to the first extension axis A1 and is configured to bear against, and more particularly to rest at least partially on, the upper face 12 of the wall panel 2 when the retaining device 1 is in its operating configuration. Advantageously, the bearing portion 4 is configured to extend substantially perpendicularly to the elevation plane P1 when the retaining device 1 is in its operating configuration.More specifically, the support part 4 is configured to protrude from the bearing face 9 of the fixing part 3. Such a configuration of the invention makes it easier to remove the retaining device 1, for example.

[0094] Figures 8 and 9 represent a third embodiment of the invention, which differs from the first embodiment essentially in that the dismantling element 14 is configured to extend at least around an extension portion 15 provided on the fixing part 3 and along the first extension axis AL. According to a variant of the third embodiment not shown in the figures, the fixing part 3 could be of circular cross-section, for example.

[0095] According to the third embodiment of the invention, the main body 100 is removable from the dismantling element 14 in a withdrawal direction which is oriented upwards, that is to say that the removal of the main body 100 is done from the top of the floor slab and more specifically by applying a vertical force from bottom to top, by means of a hammer for example, at the level of a lower end of the fixing part 3.

[0096] Figures 10 and 11 represent a retaining device 1 according to a fourth embodiment of the invention which differs from the first embodiment essentially in that the first extension axis A1 of the fixing part 3 and the second extension axis A2 of the assembly part 5 coincide. Support part 4 is provided on the main body 100 and is fixed to the main body 100. Such a configuration allows an extremely simple and economical implementation of the retaining device 1.

[0097] According to the fourth embodiment of the invention, the support part 4 is formed by a support shoulder, for example annular, located between the assembly part 5 and the fixing part 3 and mechanically connecting the assembly part 5 to the fixing part 3, and the extension portion 15, around which the dismantling element 14 is arranged, is provided on the assembly part 5.

[0098] According to the fourth embodiment of the invention, the main body 100 is removable from the dismantling element 14 in an upward direction of removal, i.e. from the top, and more specifically by applying a vertical force from bottom to top, by means of a pulling member placed in an insertion hole 17 provided at the level of an upper end of the assembly part 5 for example.

[0099] As shown in [Fig. 11], the fastening portion 3 is configured to extend along and against an internal wall of the wall panel 2 when the retaining device 1 is in its operating configuration. The fastening portion 3 can, for example, be configured to be inserted at least partially inside an internal feature 18, such as a cavity, defined by at least one structural element 19 forming the wall panel 2 and opening into the upper face 12 of the wall panel 2. Advantageously, the fastening portion 3 has a length approximately equal to 1.5 times the height of the structural element 19 that makes up the wall panel 2. Such a length may, however, vary depending on the material of the fastening portion 3 and the nature of the wall panel 2.

[0100] Such a configuration of the retaining device 1 allows for easy installation and increased adaptability of the fixing part 3 of the retaining device 1 during the assembly of a guardrail 7 intended to secure the intervention of a user at height of the wall panel 2. Indeed, the cooperation between the fixing part 3 and the internal arrangement 18 allows for rapid installation of the retaining device 1 at the installation site of the wall panel 2. In addition, it is possible to move the retaining device 1 to another internal arrangement 18 of the wall panel 2 in order to adapt to any constraints of the installation site.

[0101] Of course, the present invention is in no way limited to the embodiments described and illustrated, which have been given only by way of example. Modifications remain possible, particularly with regard to the construction of the various elements or by substitution of technical equivalents, without departing from the scope of protection of the invention.
