Abstract
The invention relates to an electrical machine comprising a casing (2), a jacket (1) mounted inside the casing and comprising passages for circulation of cooling fluid, a stator (3) mounted inside the jacket, a rotor mounted inside the stator and pivotally mounted relative to the casing about a machine axis, a closing cover (4) arranged opposite a casing bottom, characterized in that the jacket is formed from steel, and the closing cover (4) exerts axial compression on the jacket so as to generate an expansion of the jacket in a radial direction perpendicular to the axis.
