Description

Title of the invention: Refill device for cosmetic product Technical field

[0001] The present invention relates to the field of cosmetic products. In particular, the present invention relates to a refill device for a cosmetic product, a cosmetic product applicator system comprising such a refill device and a method for unlocking such an applicator system. STATE OF THE ART

[0002] Known from the state of the art is an applicator system for a cosmetic product, such as mascara or lip product for example. This system can for example be introduced into a case, making it more aesthetic. In particular, the applicator system comprises a container, in which the cosmetic product is received and in which is housed an application device allowing a user to apply the cosmetic product. This application device is connected to a cap closing the container and connected to the application device.

[0003] Thus, the user, to apply the cosmetic product, separates the cap from the container, in particular by unscrewing the cap from the container, extracts the application device from inside the container by translating the application device along the container, then applies the cosmetic product. He can then, once the application is complete, introduce the application device grasped by means of the cap, inside the container and then secure said cap with the container, in particular by screwing. The applicator system is then closed again.

[0004] However, once the applicator system has been emptied of its contents, namely the cosmetic product, it is thrown away and the user buys another one. This results in a high consumption of packaging product and therefore significant pollution.

[0005] The invention aims to solve the aforementioned problems by proposing a refill device for a cosmetic product that allows an applicator system to be refilled. The refill device makes it possible to limit the materials and packaging when the user empties the cosmetic product and replaces it. Thus, pollution is limited. Furthermore, with such a refill device, the applicator system can be customizable and be made from more precious materials that one may wish to conserve. PRESENTATION OF THE INVENTION

[0006] More specifically, the invention relates to a refill device for a cosmetic product, configured to cooperate with an unlocking member. Said refill device comprising: • a container configured to receive cosmetic product; • a device for applying the cosmetic product, movable between an extended position and a retracted position, said application device being housed at least partly in the container in the retracted position and being outside the container in the extended position; • a tip arranged at one end of the application device, comprising a coupling element configured to cooperate with a complementary coupling element of the unlocking member; and • a coupling ring secured to the container and configured to house, in the retracted position, said coupling element.

[0007] Said coupling ring is configured, in the retracted position of the application device, to receive said coupling element, to lock said coupling element in the coupling ring and to lock said application device in said container.

[0008] The locking of the coupling element in the coupling ring 8 and the locking of the application device in the container are irreversible without the unlocking member. Thus, the refill device is tamper-proof when the application device is in the retracted position. It is then necessary to have a key, corresponding to the unlocking member to be able to allow the opening of the refill device.

[0009] Advantageously, the application device comprises a rod, one of its ends having a thread on an external cylindrical surface and being connected to the coupling element and the other end of which is connected to an applicator of the cosmetic product, and in which the coupling ring has a thread on an internal cylindrical surface configured to cooperate with the thread of the rod so as to lock said coupling element in the ring and said application device in said container.

[0010] The rod may be made of plastic, as may the applicator and the coupling element.

[0011] According to a particular embodiment, the rod and the coupling element are in one piece. In such a case, they can be made of machined steel and the coupling element would be directly molded into the rod.

[0012] The applicator makes it possible to retain on the application device the quantity of cosmetic product taken from the container, to be applied by the user to the desired surface. The rod, for its part, allows the applicator to be immersed inside the container, in particular near the bottom of the container, so that it can retain cosmetic product, even when the container is not completely filled with cosmetic product and only contains, for example, a small quantity of cosmetic product which is housed in the bottom of the container.

[0013] Advantageously, the coupling ring and the container are in one piece.

[0014] They can be made of plastic, for example, molded.

[0015] Advantageously, a wringer device is interposed between the container and the coupling ring, said wringer being configured to remove excess cosmetic product from the application device.

[0016] The section of the rod of the applicator device is of reduced size compared to the section of the applicator. Thus, the wiping device has a section whose diameter is less than that of the section of the applicator, and greater than or equal to the diameter of the section of the rod, so as to allow the translation of the rod in the wiping device and to allow the applicator device to be compressed during its translation in said wiping device, thus making it possible to remove the excess cosmetic product material accumulated on the applicator.

[0017] Advantageously, the wringer device comprises a cylindrical seal configured to compress when the tip is screwed with the coupling ring.

[0018] The invention further relates to a cosmetic product applicator system comprising a refill device as previously described and a case. The case comprises a hollow longitudinal body extending through it having two ends, said body being configured to house the container of the refill device and to leave free an end portion of said refill device opposite the coupling ring. The case further comprises a clasp configured to close one end of the body of the case and to house the end portion left free of the refill device. The case also comprises a closing cap, corresponding to the unlocking member configured to close the other end of the body of the case and to house at least in part the coupling ring of the refill device; said closing cap comprising the complementary coupling element. The complementary coupling element engages and cooperates with the coupling element of the refill device, by rotation of the closure cap relative to the body, so as to secure the closure cap with the application device and to unlock the application device from the container. The clasp is configured to lock in translation along the longitudinal axis of the container of the refill device in the body of the case.

[0019] The refill device is protected and unlocked by means of the case. The applicator system therefore comprises an envelope corresponding to the case, refillable by the refill device. Thus, the user can apply with the same ease the cosmetic product contained in the container, while minimizing costs and materials discarded once the cosmetic product is completely used. The applicator system is therefore more ecological than existing systems, while remaining aesthetic.

[0020] Advantageously, the coupling ring and the interior of the hollow longitudinal body are configured to prevent the container from rotating about its longitudinal axis. charging device in the body of the case.

[0021] Advantageously, the body comprises at its end opposite the clasp a shoulder forming a stop configured to block the translation of the container of the refill device in the body of the case.

[0022] Advantageously, the closing cap houses a magnet configured to assist in positioning the coupling element of the refill device with the complementary coupling element of the case, and configured to hold the application device of the refill device and the closing cap together, the end piece comprising metal.

[0023] Advantageously, the closing hood comprises a yoke and an insert, the insert being housed in the yoke, the magnet being arranged between the insert and the yoke, the insert holding the magnet in position in the closing hood.

[0024] Preferably, the clasp comprises fixing tabs projecting from said clasp and configured to cooperate with the body of the case, said fixing tabs being configured to allow the container to be locked in position in the body.

[0025] The clasp here is of the bayonet type, that is to say that the protruding fixing lugs of the clasp, flat and hook-shaped, are inserted by translation into corresponding openings formed in the internal surface of the hollow longitudinal body, then locked by rotation of the clasp relative to the longitudinal body. The clasp is then secured against the longitudinal body. The clasp then forms the bottom of the longitudinal body. The bayonet type clasp is a minimalist clasp system, not very bulky, and imperceptible when the clasp is held against the longitudinal body.

[0026] Advantageously, the clasp comprises a hollow body projecting from a bottom wall and at least one lug projecting from the bottom wall, said lug being configured to bear against the container of the refill device.

[0027] The clasp comprises a plurality of lugs, in particular three lugs, allowing an isostatic connection between the container and the clasp.

[0028] Advantageously, the coupling element of the recharging device is a female coupling element configured to cooperate with the complementary coupling element of the case which is a male coupling element.

[0029] Advantageously, the coupling element is of multi-lobed shape and the complementary coupling element is of multi-lobed shape, complementary to the multi-lobed shape of the coupling element.

[0030] The invention also relates to a method for unlocking an applicator system as previously described comprising a recharging device presented previously and a case, comprising the following steps: • separate the clasp from the body of the case; • insert the charging device into the case so that the coupling ring of the charging device is housed in the closing cover of the case and so that the coupling element of the charging device cooperates with the complementary coupling element of the case; • close the other end of the case body with the closing cap so that it blocks the container of the refill device; and • rotate the closing cover of the case configured to allow the tip of the refill device to rotate relative to the coupling ring, unlocking said application device from the container. [0048] The invention relates to a refill device 1 for a cosmetic product, shown in FIGS. 1 to 4.

[0049] The refill device 1 may, for example, contain mascara product or lip product.

[0050] The recharging device 1 is configured to cooperate with an unlocking member 2.

[0051] The refill device 1 comprises a container 3 configured to receive the cosmetic product.

[0052] In particular, the container 3 may have a hollow longitudinal body, for example made of plastic material. It is understood that it may be made of any other material.

[0053] The refill device 1 further comprises a device 4 for applying the cosmetic product, a tip 5 and a coupling ring 8.

[0054] The application device 4 is movable between an extended position and a retracted position. Said application device 4 is housed at least partly in the container 3 in the retracted position and it is outside the container 3 in the extended position. In the retracted position, the application device 4 is immersed in, or at least in contact with, the cosmetic product contained in the container 3. In the extended position, the application device 4 is no longer immersed in the cosmetic product contained in the container 3, but it comprises a quantity of cosmetic product taken from the container 3, to be applied by a user to a desired surface, for example on his eyelashes or on his lips.

[0055] With reference to Figures 3 and 4, the application device 4 comprises a rod 9, one of the ends of which has a thread on an external cylindrical surface. The rod 9 is connected to the coupling element 6. The other end is connected to an applicator 10 of the cosmetic product. The coupling ring 8 has a thread on an internal cylindrical surface configured to cooperate with the thread of the rod 9.

[0056] The rod 9 may be made of plastic, as may the applicator 10, and the coupling element 6 may, for example, be made of plastic.

[0057] According to an embodiment not shown, the rod 9 and the coupling element 6 are in one piece. In such a case, they can be made of machined steel and the coupling element 6 can be directly molded into the rod 9.

[0058] The applicator 10 makes it possible to retain on the application device 4 the quantity of cosmetic product taken from the container 3, to be applied by the user to the desired surface. The rod 9, for its part, allows the applicator to be immersed inside the container 3, in particular near the bottom of the container 3, so that it can retain cosmetic product, even when the container 3 is not completely filled with cosmetic product and only contains, for example, a small quantity of cosmetic product which is housed in the bottom of the container 3.

[0059] The tip 5 comprising the coupling element 6 is arranged at one end of the application device 4. In particular, the tip 5 is arranged at the end opposite the applicator 10. The coupling element 6 is configured to cooperate with a complementary coupling element 7 of the unlocking member 2.

[0060] The coupling ring 8 is secured to the container 3 and is configured to house, in the retracted position of the application device 4, the coupling element 6. The coupling ring 8 is configured, in the retracted position of the application device 4, to receive the coupling element 6, lock said coupling element 6 in the coupling ring 8 and to lock the application device 4 in said container 3.

[0061] The coupling element 6 is secured to the threaded end of the rod 9. This threaded end of the rod allows, by screwing, the applicator device 4 to be connected to the coupling ring 8.

[0062] The locking of the coupling element 6 in the coupling ring 8 and the locking of the application device 4 in the container are irreversible without the unlocking member 2. Thus, the refill device 1 is tamper-proof when the application device 4 is in the retracted position. It is then necessary to have a key, corresponding to the unlocking member 2 to be able to allow the opening of the refill device 1.

[0063] The tip 5 may for example be made of aluminum and the container 3 of glass. It is understood that other materials are possible.

[0064] According to a particular embodiment not shown, the coupling ring 8 and the container 3 are in one piece. They can be made of plastic, for example, molded.

[0065] In addition, as shown in [Fig.13], the recharging device 1 may comprise a wringing device 11. The wringing device 11 is interposed between the container 3 and the coupling ring 8. The wringing device 11 is configured to remove excess cosmetic product from the application device 4 and in particular from the applicator 10.

[0066] As shown in [Fig. 13], the section of the rod 9 of the applicator device 4 is less than the section of the applicator 10. Thus, the wiping device has a diameter less than the section of the applicator 10 and greater than or equal to the section of the rod 9, so as to allow the translation of the rod 9 in the wiping device 11 and to allow the applicator device 10 to be compressed during its translation in said wiping device 11, so as to remove the excess cosmetic product material accumulated on the applicator 10.

[0067] In addition, the wringer device 11 comprises a cylindrical seal configured to compress when the end piece 5 is screwed with the coupling ring 8 so as to make the connection between the end piece 5 and the coupling ring 8 watertight.

[0068] The coupling element 6 is a female coupling element. In particular, it is of multi-lobed shape. As shown in the figures, the coupling element 6 is quadrilobed, that is to say it is flower-shaped, with four petals.

[0069] As shown in Figures 5 to 14, the invention relates to a cosmetic product applicator system 100. The applicator system 100 comprises the refill device 1 and a case 12.

[0070] In particular, the case 12 comprises a longitudinal body 120, hollow through having two ends. The body 120 is configured to house the container 3 of the refilling device 1 and to leave free an end portion of the refilling device 1 opposite the coupling ring 8.

[0071] The longitudinal body 120 can be made of any material. In particular, it can be made of a more expensive material than the container 3. It makes it possible to protect the container 3, from impacts for example, but also to personalize the applicator system. Different colors can compose it, but engravings can also be made on it.

[0072] The case 12 further comprises a clasp 121 configured to close the body 120 of the case 12 and to house the free end portion of the recharging device 1.

[0073] The clasp 121 is configured to lock in translation along the longitudinal axis of the container 3 of the refill device 1 in the body 120 of the case 12.

[0074] The clasp 121 comprises fixing lugs 124 projecting from the clasp 121 and configured to cooperate with the body 120 of the case 12. The fixing lugs 124 are configured to allow the container 3 to be locked in position in the body 120. The clasp 121 may be of the bayonet type, that is to say that the fixing lugs 124 projecting from the clasp, flat, and hook-shaped, are inserted by translation into corresponding openings formed in the internal surface of the longitudinal body 120 hollow, then locked by rotation of the clasp 121 relative to the longitudinal body 120. The clasp 121 is then secured against the longitudinal body 120. The clasp 121 then forms the bottom of the longitudinal body 121. The bayonet type clasp is a minimalist clasp system, space-saving, and imperceptible when the clasp 121 is held against the longitudinal body 120.

[0075] The bayonet system of the clasp 121 can be replaced by another closure system, such as a screw system for example.

[0076] With reference to [Fig. 15], with a screw closure system, the clasp 121 has on an outer cylindrical surface a thread complementary to a thread formed on an inner cylindrical surface of the longitudinal body 120. By rotation of the clasp 121 relative to the longitudinal body 120, the container 3 is locked in position in the body 120.

[0077] Furthermore, the clasp 121 comprises a hollow body projecting from a bottom wall and at least one lug 125 projecting from the bottom wall. The lug 125 is configured to bear against the container 3 of the refill device 1.

[0078] With reference to figures 8 and 13, the clasp 121 comprises a plurality of lugs 125, in particular three lugs 125, allowing an isostatic connection between the container 3 and the clasp 121.

[0079] The clasp 121 coupled to the longitudinal body 120 allows the user to better grip the charging device.

[0080] The case 12 also comprises a closing cap 122, corresponding here to the unlocking member 2 configured to close the other end of the body 120 of the case 12 and to at least partially house the coupling ring 8 of the refill device. The closing cap 122 comprises the complementary coupling element 7 engaging and cooperating with the coupling element 6 of the refill device 1. The cooperation between the complementary coupling element 7 and the coupling element 6 is effected by rotation of the closing cap 122 relative to the body 120, so as to secure the closing cap 122 to the application device 4 and to unlock the application device 4 from the container 3.

[0081] The complementary coupling element 7 of the case 12 which is a male coupling element is of multi-lobed shape complementary to the multi-lobed shape of the coupling element 6.

[0082] It is understood that the coupling element 6 and the complementary coupling element 7 may have any other shape, such as a circle, square, star, triangle, letter shape, etc. The complementary coupling element 7 always has a complementary shape, cooperating with the shape of the coupling element 6.

[0083] The closing cover 122 houses a magnet 123 configured to assist in positioning the coupling element 6 of the recharging device 1 with the element of complementary coupling 7 of the case 12, and configured to hold the application device 4 of the refill device 1 and the closing cap 122 together, the end piece 5 comprising metal.

[0084] Furthermore, the closing cover 122 comprises a yoke and an insert, the insert being housed in the yoke, the magnet 123 being arranged between the insert and the yoke, the insert holding the magnet 123 in position in the closing cover 122.

[0085] The magnet system 123 for holding the application device 4 of the refill device 1 and the closing cap 122 together can be replaced by another fixing system, such as a clip system for example.

[0086] In addition to allowing, by means of the complementary coupling element 7, the unlocking of the refill device, the closing cover 122 allows better gripping by the user of the application device 4.

[0087] In addition, the coupling ring 8 and the interior of the hollow longitudinal body 120 are configured to prevent the container 3 of the refill device 1 from rotating about its longitudinal axis in the body 120 of the case 12.

[0088] The body 120 comprises, at its end opposite the clasp 121, a shoulder forming a stop configured to block the translation of the container 3 of the refill device 1 in the body 120 of the case 12.

[0089] The refill device 1 is protected and unlocked by means of the case 12. The applicator system 100 therefore comprises an envelope corresponding to the case 12, rechargeable by the refill device 1. Thus, the user can apply with the same ease the cosmetic product contained in the container 3, while minimizing costs and materials discarded once the cosmetic product is completely used. The applicator system 100 is therefore more ecological than existing systems, while remaining aesthetic.

[0090] The invention also relates to a method for unlocking the applicator system 100 comprising the refill device 1 and the case 12. The method comprises the following steps: • separate the clasp 121 from the body 120 of the case 12; • insert the recharging device 1 into the case 12 so that the ring of coupling 8 of the recharging device 1 is housed in the closing cover 122 of the case 12 and so that the coupling element 6 of the recharging device 1 cooperates with the complementary coupling element 7 of the case 12 • close the other end of the body 120 of the case 12 with the closing cap 122 so that it blocks the container 3 of the refill device 1; and • rotate the closing cover 122 of the case 12 configured to allow the tip 5 of the recharging device 1 to rotate by relative to the coupling ring 8, unlocking said application device 4 from the container 3.

[0091] It will also be noted that the invention is not limited to the embodiments described above. It will indeed appear to those skilled in the art that various modifications can be made to the embodiments described above, in light of the teaching which has just been disclosed to them.

[0092] In the detailed presentation of the invention which is made above, the terms used must not be interpreted as limiting the invention to the embodiments set out in the present description, but must be interpreted to include all equivalents whose prediction is within the reach of a person skilled in the art by applying his general knowledge to the implementation of the teaching which has just been disclosed to him.
