Description

Title of the invention: Refill device for cosmetic product technical field

[0001] The present invention relates to the field of cosmetic products. In particular, the present invention relates to a refilling device for a cosmetic product, a cosmetic product applicator system comprising such a refilling device and a method for unlocking such an applicator system. STATE OF THE ART

[0002] An applicator system for cosmetic products, such as mascara or lip product, is known in the prior art. This system can, for example, be inserted into a case, making it more aesthetically pleasing. In particular, the applicator system comprises a container in which the cosmetic product is held and which houses an application device enabling a user to apply the cosmetic product. This application device is connected to a cap that closes the container and is itself connected to the applicator.

[0003] Thus, to apply the cosmetic product, the user detaches the cap from the container, notably by unscrewing the cap, removes the application device from inside the container by sliding it along the side of the container, and then applies the cosmetic product. Once the application is complete, the user can then insert the application device, grasped by means of the cap, back into the container and secure the cap to the container, notably by screwing it on. The applicator system is then closed again.

[0004] However, once the applicator system is emptied of its contents, namely the cosmetic product, it is discarded and the user buys another one. This generates a high consumption of packaging material and therefore significant pollution.

[0005] The invention aims to solve the aforementioned problems by providing a refill device for cosmetic products that allows for the refilling of an applicator system. The refill device reduces the amount of materials and packaging required when the user empties and replaces the cosmetic product, thereby limiting pollution. Furthermore, with such a refill device, the applicator system can be customized and made from more valuable materials that may be desirable to conserve. PRESENTATION OF THE INVENTION

[0006] More specifically, the invention relates to a refilling device for a cosmetic product, configured to cooperate with an unlocking mechanism. Said refilling device comprising: • a container configured to receive cosmetic products; • a cosmetic product application device, movable between an extended position and a retracted position, said application device being housed at least partly in the container in the retracted position and being outside the container in the extended position; • a nozzle disposed at one end of the application device, comprising a coupling element configured to cooperate with a complementary coupling element of the unlocking mechanism; and • a coupling ring attached to the container and configured to house, in the retracted position, said coupling element.

[0007] Said coupling ring is configured, in the retracted position of the application device, to receive said coupling element, to lock said coupling element in the coupling ring and to lock said application device in said container.

[0008] The locking of the coupling element in the coupling ring 8 and the locking of the application device in the container are irreversible without the unlocking mechanism. Thus, the refilling device is tamper-proof when the application device is in the retracted position. A key corresponding to the unlocking mechanism is then required to open the refilling device.

[0009] Advantageously, the application device comprises a rod, one end of which has a thread on an external cylindrical surface and is connected to the coupling element, and the other end of which is connected to an applicator of the cosmetic product, and in which the coupling ring has a thread on an internal cylindrical surface configured to cooperate with the thread of the rod so as to lock said coupling element in the ring and said application device in said container.

[0010] The rod can be made of plastic, as can the applicator and the coupling element.

[0011] According to a particular embodiment, the rod and the coupling element are one piece. In such a case, they can be made of machined steel and the coupling element would be directly cast into the rod.

[0012] The applicator allows the quantity of cosmetic product taken from the container to be retained on the application device, for application by the user to the desired surface. The stem, for its part, allows the applicator to be immersed inside the container, particularly near the bottom of the container, so that it can retain cosmetic product even when the container is not completely filled with cosmetic product and, for example, contains only a small quantity of cosmetic product that settles at the bottom of the container.

[0013] Advantageously, the coupling ring and the container are one piece.

[0014] They can be made of plastic, for example, molded.

[0015] Advantageously still, a wringer device is interposed between the container and the coupling ring, said wringer being configured to remove excess cosmetic product from the application device.

[0016] The cross-section of the applicator device's rod is smaller than that of the applicator. Thus, the wringer device has a cross-section whose diameter is smaller than that of the applicator, and greater than or equal to the diameter of the rod's cross-section, so as to allow the rod to move within the wringer device and to compress the applicator device during its movement within said wringer device, thereby removing excess cosmetic product material accumulated on the applicator.

[0017] Advantageously, the wringer device includes a cylindrical seal configured to compress when the nozzle is screwed onto the coupling ring.

[0018] The invention further relates to a cosmetic product applicator system comprising a refilling device as previously described and a case. The case comprises a hollow, longitudinal body having two ends, said body being configured to house the refilling device container and to leave a portion of the end of said refilling device free, opposite the coupling ring. The case further comprises a clasp configured to close one end of the case body and to house the free end portion of the refilling device. The case also comprises a closing cap, corresponding to the unlocking mechanism configured to close the other end of the case body and to house, at least partially, the coupling ring of the refilling device; said closing cap comprising the complementary coupling element. The complementary coupling element engages and cooperates with the coupling element of the refilling device by rotating the closure cap relative to the body, thus securing the closure cap to the application device and unlocking the application device from the container. The clasp is configured to prevent translation along the longitudinal axis of the refilling device container within the case body.

[0019] The refilling device is protected and unlocked by means of the case. The applicator system therefore includes a casing corresponding to the case, which is refillable by the refilling device. Thus, the user can apply the cosmetic product contained in the container with the same ease, while minimizing costs and waste once the cosmetic product is completely used. The applicator system is therefore more environmentally friendly than existing systems, while remaining aesthetically pleasing.

[0020] Advantageously, the coupling ring and the interior of the hollow longitudinal body are configured to block the container of the charging device in the body of the case.

[0021] Advantageously, the body has at its end opposite the clasp a shoulder forming a stop configured to block the translation of the recharging device container in the body of the case.

[0022] Advantageously, the closing cover houses a magnet configured to assist in positioning the coupling element of the charging device with the complementary coupling element of the case, and configured to hold the application device of the charging device and the closing cover together, the tip having metal.

[0023] Advantageously, the closing cover comprises a clevis and an insert, the insert being housed in the clevis, the magnet being disposed between the insert and the clevis, the insert holding the magnet in position in the closing cover.

[0024] Preferably, the clasp has protruding fixing tabs on said clasp configured to cooperate with the body of the case, said fixing tabs being configured to allow locking the container in position within the body.

[0025] The clasp here is of the bayonet type, meaning that the protruding, flat, hook-shaped fastening lugs of the clasp are inserted by translation into corresponding openings formed in the inner surface of the hollow longitudinal body, and then locked in place by rotation of the clasp relative to the longitudinal body. The clasp is then secured against the longitudinal body. The clasp thus forms the base of the longitudinal body. The bayonet-type clasp is a minimalist, compact fastening system that is imperceptible when the clasp is held against the longitudinal body.

[0026] Advantageously, the clasp comprises a hollow body projecting from a bottom wall and at least one lug projecting from the bottom wall, said lug being configured to bear against the receptacle of the recharging device.

[0027] The clasp has a plurality of lugs, in particular three lugs, allowing an isostatic connection between the container and the clasp.

[0028] Advantageously, the coupling element of the charging device is a female coupling element configured to cooperate with the complementary coupling element of the case, which is a male coupling element.

[0029] Advantageously still, the coupling element is multilobed in shape and the complementary coupling element is multilobed in shape, complementary to the multilobed shape of the coupling element.

[0030] The invention also relates to a method for unlocking an applicator system as previously described, comprising a charging device presented previously and a case, comprising the following steps: • separate the clasp from the body of the case; • Insert the charging device into the case so that the coupling ring the charging device is housed in the case's closing cover and so that the coupling element of the charging device cooperates with the complementary coupling element of the case; • close the other end of the case body with the locking cap so that it blocks the refill device container; and • rotate the case closure cover configured to allow the tip of the charging device to rotate relative to the coupling ring, unlocking said application device from the container. [0047] It should be noted that the figures set out the invention in detail to enable implementation of the invention; although not limiting, said figures serve in particular to better define the invention where appropriate. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0048] The invention relates to a refilling device 1 for cosmetic product, shown in figures 1 to 4.

[0049] The refilling device 1 can, for example, contain mascara product or lip product.

[0050] The charging device 1 is configured to cooperate with an unlocking member 2.

[0051] The refilling device 1 includes a container 3 configured to receive the cosmetic product.

[0052] In particular, the container 3 may have a hollow longitudinal body, for example made of plastic material. It is understood that it may be made of any other material.

[0053] The charging device 1 further comprises a cosmetic product application device 4, a nozzle 5 and a coupling ring 8.

[0054] The application device 4 is movable between an extended position and a retracted position. In the retracted position, the application device 4 is housed at least partially within the container 3, and in the extended position, it is outside the container 3. In the retracted position, the application device 4 is immersed in, or at least in contact with, the cosmetic product contained in the container 3. In the extended position, the application device 4 is no longer immersed in the cosmetic product contained in the container 3, but it contains a quantity of cosmetic product taken from the container 3, to be applied by a user to a desired surface, for example, on their eyelashes or lips.

[0055] With reference to Figures 3 and 4, the application device 4 comprises a rod 9, one end of which has a threaded hole on an external cylindrical surface. The rod 9 is connected to the coupling element 6. The other end is connected to a cosmetic product applicator 10. The coupling ring 8 has a threaded hole on an internal cylindrical surface configured to cooperate with the threaded hole in the rod 9.

[0056] The rod 9 can be made of plastic, as can the applicator 10, and the coupling element 6 can, for example, be made of plastic.

[0057] According to an embodiment not shown, the rod 9 and the coupling element 6 are one piece. In such a case, they may be made of machined steel and the coupling element 6 may be directly cast into the rod 9.

[0058] The applicator 10 allows the quantity of cosmetic product taken from the container 3 to be retained on the application device 4, for application by the user to the desired surface. The stem 9, for its part, allows the applicator to be immersed inside the container 3, in particular near the bottom of the container 3, so that it can retain cosmetic product even when the container 3 is not completely filled with cosmetic product and, for example, contains only a small quantity of cosmetic product that settles at the bottom of the container 3.

[0059] The tip 5 comprising the coupling element 6 is disposed at one end of the application device 4. In particular, the tip 5 is disposed at the end opposite the applicator 10. The coupling element 6 is configured to cooperate with a complementary coupling element 7 of the unlocking member 2.

[0060] The coupling ring 8 is attached to the container 3 and is configured to house, in the retracted position of the application device 4, the coupling element 6. The coupling ring 8 is configured, in the retracted position of the application device 4, to receive the coupling element 6, to lock said coupling element 6 in the coupling ring 8 and to lock the application device 4 in said container 3.

[0061] The coupling element 6 is attached to the threaded end of the rod 9. This threaded end of the rod allows, by screwing, the applicator device 4 to be connected to the coupling ring 8.

[0062] The locking of the coupling element 6 in the coupling ring 8 and the locking of the application device 4 in the container are irreversible without the unlocking member 2. Thus, the refilling device 1 is tamper-proof when the application device 4 is in the retracted position. A key corresponding to the unlocking member 2 is then required to open the refilling device 1.

[0063] The nozzle 5 can, for example, be made of aluminum and the container 3 of glass. It is understood that other materials are possible.

[0064] According to a particular embodiment not shown, the coupling ring 8 and the container 3 are one-piece. They can be made of plastic, for example, molded.

[0065] Furthermore, as shown in [Fig. 13], the charging device 1 may include a wringer device 11. The wringer device 11 is interposed between the container 3 and the coupling ring 8. The wringer device 11 is configured to remove excess cosmetic product from the application device 4 and in particular from the applicator 10.

[0066] As shown in [Fig. 13], the section of the rod 9 of the applicator device 4 is less than the section of the applicator 10. Thus, the wringer device has a diameter less than the section of the applicator 10 and greater than or equal to the section of the rod 9, so as to allow the translation of the rod 9 in the wringer device 11 and to allow the applicator device 10 to be compressed during its translation in said wringer device 11, so as to remove the excess of cosmetic product material accumulated on the applicator 10.

[0067] In addition, the wringer device 11 includes a cylindrical seal configured to compress when screwing the nozzle 5 with the coupling ring 8 so as to make the connection between the nozzle 5 and the coupling ring 8 airtight.

[0068] The coupling element 6 is a female coupling element. In particular, it is multilobed in shape. As shown in the figures, the coupling element 6 is quadrilobed, that is to say, it is flower-shaped, with four petals.

[0069] As shown in Figures 5 to 14, the invention relates to a cosmetic product applicator system 100. The applicator system 100 comprises the refilling device 1 and a case 12.

[0070] In particular, the case 12 comprises a longitudinal, hollow, through-body 120 having two ends. The body 120 is configured to house the receptacle 3 of the reloading device 1 and to leave a portion of the end of the reloading device 1 free opposite the coupling ring 8.

[0071] The longitudinal body 120 can be made of any material. In particular, it can be made of a more expensive material than the container 3. It serves to protect the container 3, for example from impacts, but also to customize the applicator system. It can be made of different colors, and engravings can also be made on it.

[0072] The case 12 further includes a clasp 121 configured to close the body 120 of the case 12 and to house the free end portion of the charging device 1.

[0073] The clasp 121 is configured to block in translation along the longitudinal axis of the container 3 of the recharging device 1 in the body 120 of the case 12.

[0074] The clasp 121 has protruding retaining lugs 124 of the clasp 121 configured to cooperate with the body 120 of the case 12. The retaining lugs 124 are configured to allow the container 3 to be locked in position within the body 120. The clasp 121 may be of the bayonet type, i.e., the flat, hook-shaped protruding retaining lugs 124 of the clasp are inserted by translation into corresponding openings formed in the internal surface of the longitudinal body 120. hollow, then locked by rotation of the clasp 121 relative to the longitudinal body 120. The clasp 121 is then secured against the longitudinal body 120. The clasp 121 then forms the bottom of the longitudinal body 121. The bayonet-type clasp is a minimalist, compact, and imperceptible fastening system when the clasp 121 is held against the longitudinal body 120.

[0075] The bayonet system of the clasp 121 can be replaced by another closure system, such as a screw system for example.

[0076] With reference to [Fig. 15], with a screw closure system, the clasp 121 has on an external cylindrical surface a thread complementary to a thread formed on an internal cylindrical surface of the longitudinal body 120. By rotating the clasp 121 relative to the longitudinal body 120, the container 3 is locked in position in the body 120.

[0077] In addition, the clasp 121 has a hollow body projecting from a bottom wall and at least one lug 125 projecting from the bottom wall. The lug 125 is configured to bear against the container 3 of the refilling device 1.

[0078] With reference to figures 8 and 13, the clasp 121 has a plurality of lugs 125, in particular three lugs 125, allowing an isostatic connection between the container 3 and the clasp 121.

[0079] The clasp 121 coupled with the longitudinal body 120 allows for better handling of the charging device by the user.

[0080] The case 12 also includes a closing cap 122, corresponding here to the unlocking member 2 configured to close the other end of the body 120 of the case 12 and to house at least partially the coupling ring 8 of the refilling device. The closing cap 122 includes the complementary coupling element 7 which engages and cooperates with the coupling element 6 of the refilling device 1. The cooperation between the complementary coupling element 7 and the coupling element 6 is achieved by rotating the closing cap 122 relative to the body 120, so as to secure the closing cap 122 with the application device 4 and to unlock the application device 4 from the container 3.

[0081] The complementary coupling element 7 of the case 12, which is a male coupling element, is of a multilobed shape complementary to the multilobed shape of the coupling element 6.

[0082] It is understood that the coupling element 6 and the complementary coupling element 7 can have any other shape, such as a circle, square, star, triangle, letter, etc. The complementary coupling element 7 always has a complementary shape, cooperating with the shape of the coupling element 6.

[0083] The closing cover 122 houses a magnet 123 configured to assist in positioning the coupling element 6 of the charging device 1 with the element of complementary coupling 7 of the case 12, and configured to keep the application device 4 of the charging device 1 and the closing cap 122 securely together, the tip 5 having metal.

[0084] Furthermore, the closing cover 122 includes a clevis and an insert, the insert being housed in the clevis, the magnet 123 being disposed between the insert and the clevis, the insert maintaining the magnet 123 in position in the closing cover 122.

[0085] The magnet system 123 for keeping the application device 4 of the charging device 1 and the closing cover 122 together can be replaced by another fastening system, such as a clip system for example.

[0086] In addition to enabling, by means of the complementary coupling element 7, the unlocking of the charging device, the closing cover 122 allows for better gripping by the user of the application device 4.

[0087] In addition, the coupling ring 8 and the hollow interior of the longitudinal body 120 are configured to block the container 3 of the recharging device 1 in the body 120 of the case 12 from rotating about its longitudinal axis.

[0088] The body 120 has, at its end opposite the clasp 121, a shoulder forming a stop configured to block the translation of the container 3 of the reloading device 1 in the body 120 of the case 12.

[0089] The refill device 1 is protected and unlocked by means of the case 12. The applicator system 100 therefore includes a casing corresponding to the case 12, which is refillable by the refill device 1. Thus, the user can apply the cosmetic product contained in the container 3 with the same ease, while minimizing costs and waste once the cosmetic product has been completely used. The applicator system 100 is therefore more environmentally friendly than existing systems, while remaining aesthetically pleasing.

[0090] The invention also relates to a method for unlocking the applicator system 100 comprising the charging device 1 and the case 12. The method comprises the following steps: • separate the clasp 121 from the body 120 of the case 12; • Insert the charging device 1 into the case 12 so that the ring of coupling 8 of the charging device 1 is housed in the closing cover 122 of the case 12 and such that the coupling element 6 of the charging device 1 cooperates with the complementary coupling element 7 of the case 12 • close the other end of the body 120 of the case 12 with the closing cap 122 so that it blocks the container 3 of the refilling device 1; and • rotate the closing cover 122 of the case 12 configured to allow the tip 5 of the charging device 1 to rotate by relation to the coupling ring 8, unlocking said application device 4 from the container 3.

[0091] It should also be noted that the invention is not limited to the embodiments described above. It will indeed be apparent to a person skilled in the art that various modifications can be made to the embodiments described above, in light of the information just disclosed to them.

[0092] In the detailed presentation of the invention given above, the terms used shall not be interpreted as limiting the invention to the embodiments set forth in this description, but shall be interpreted as including all equivalents which can be foreseen by a person skilled in the art by applying their general knowledge to the implementation of the teaching which has just been disclosed to them.
