Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: LOCK CYLINDER FOR USE IN A LOCKING DEVICE TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to a lock cylinder, and more particularly to a lock cylinder intended for use in a locking device.
[0002] DESCRIPTION OF PRIOR ART
[0003] A known profile cylinder lock is provided in particular in Chinese patent No. CN204804477U, "improved structure of anti-break profile cylinder lock", which shows in [Fig. 3] that a feature of the patent is that a lock cylinder body has a notch communicating with the through hole of the lock cylinder. The notch is located in the center of the lock cylinder body and divides the through hole of the lock cylinder into a through hole of the inner lock cylinder and a through hole of the handle. An inner lock cylinder comprises a shaft, and the shaft is formed with a keyway extending from an outer end face to an inner shaft and penetrating the through hole of the inner lock cylinder. A sleeve of a lock cylinder cam is fixed to the middle of a rotating shaft of the inner lock cylinder, then placed in the notch and secured by a riveting element.The rotating axis of the inner locking cylinder passes through the cam sleeve of the locking cylinder and the through hole of the handle to be fixed to a handle.
[0004] In the patent, the internal lock cylinder operates in combination with the handle, so that a relatively large effort is required to rotate the lock cylinder cam and the handle together when unlocking is done from the outside using a key, whereas, when opening the door using the handle, the application of force is difficult due to the relatively small size of the handle.
[0005] Other profile cylinder locks available on the market are also designed with keyholes on both sides, or with a keyhole on one side and no opening mechanism on the other. In both cases, installing an additional handle for opening the door entails additional expense. Summary of the invention
[0006] To achieve the above objective, the present invention proposes a lock cylinder intended for use in a locking device, which comprises:
[0007] a main body, the main body having a first side and a second side, the main body being formed with a first hole, the first hole extending through the first side and second side of the main body, the main body being formed with a hollow part, the main body being formed with a notched part;
[0008] a first bit, the first bit being arranged in the hollow part of the main body, the first bit being formed with a second hole, the first bit comprising a projecting part, the projecting part being able to be received in the notched part of the main body;
[0009] a second bit, the second bit being arranged in the recessed part of the main body, the second bit comprising a fixed part, the second bit comprising a projecting part, the projecting part being suitable for being received in the notched part of the main body, the second bit being formed with a mounting part; and
[0010] a unlocking member, the unlocking member being received in and passing through the first hole, the unlocking member being formed with a keyhole, the unlocking member comprising a fixing part, the fixing part being connected to the second hole of the first key to be linked to the first key so that the first key rotates in unison with the unlocking member, the unlocking member comprising a linking part, the linking part being connected to the linked part of the second key.
[0011] In the present invention, the first cam is supported and fixed on the fixing part of the unlocking member, so that the first cam rotates in unison with the unlocking member, and furthermore, the linked part of the second cam is connected to and supported by the linking part of the unlocking member, so that the second switching cam rotates freely on the linking part, and as such, it is realized that depending on whether the door is opened from the first or second side of the main body, the first cam and the second cam are not manipulated synchronously, so that provided that the mounting part is fitted with a handle or a rotating cylinder, when a key is applied to open the door, the rotation of the key does not necessarily cause the simultaneous rotation of the handle or the rotating cylinder.This does not require a relatively significant effort for such an operation.
[0012] According to another aspect of the invention, the lock cylinder includes a handle, the handle being mounted on the mounting part.
[0013] According to another aspect of the invention, the first hole has a circular shape.
[0014] According to another aspect of the invention, the unlocking member is shaped cylindrical.

[0021] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED IMPLEMENTATION METHOD
[0022] With reference to Figures 2 and 3, it appears that a lock cylinder intended for use in a locking device is supplied, comprising:
[0023] a main body 1, the main body 1 having a first side 11 and a second side 12, the main body 1 being formed with a first hole 13, the first hole 13 extending through the first side 11 and the second side 12 of the main body 1, the main body 1 being provided with a hollow part 14, the main body 1 comprising a notched part 15;
[0024] a first bit 2, the first bit 2 being arranged in the hollow part 14 of the main body 1, the first bit 2 being formed with a second hole 21, the first bit 2 comprising a projecting part 22, the projecting part 22 being able to be received in the notched part 15 of the main body 1, as illustrated in [Fig.1]
[0025] a second bit 3, the second bit 3 being arranged in the recessed portion 14 of the main body 1, the second bit 3 comprising a fixed portion 31, the second bit 3 comprising a projecting portion 32, the projecting portion 32 being suitable for receiving in the notched portion 15 of the main body 1, the second bit 3 being provided with a mounting portion 33, the mounting portion 33 being arranged in a location corresponding to the second side 12 of the main body 1; and
[0026] an unlocking member 4, the unlocking member 4 being arranged to extend from the first side 11 of the main body 1, through the first hole 13 and into it, the unlocking member 4 being formed with a keyhole 41, the unlocking member 4 comprising a fixing part 42, the fixing part 42 being connected to the second hole 21 of the first cam 2 and fixing the first cam 2, so that the first cam 2 is rotatable with the unlocking member 4, the unlocking member 4 comprising a linking part 43, the linking part 43 being connected to the linked part 31 of the second cam 3.
[0027] In the above arrangement, the second bit 3 is supported by the connecting part 43 and the linked part 31 of the unlocking member 4, and the second bit 3 is freely rotatable on the connecting part 43 of the unlocking member 4.
[0028] In the above arrangement, a handle 5 or a rotary knob is also included, and the handle 5 or the rotary knob is arranged on the mounting part 33.
[0029] In the above arrangement, the first hole 13 is circular in shape.
[0030] In the above arrangement, the unlocking member 4 is cylindrical in shape.
[0031] Referring also to Figures 3 and 4, it appears that when a key 6 is inserted into the keyhole 41 so as to turn the unlocking member 4, the first bit 2 is made to turn with it, so that the projecting part 22 of the first bit 2 is made to turn out of the notched part 15 to push a mechanism in a lock case in order to obtain a door opening effect, or, with a handle 5 mounted on the mounting part 33 of the second bit 3, the handle 5 is able to be turned so as to drive the second bit 3, so that the projecting part 32 of the second bit 3 is made to turn out of the notched part 15 in order to push a mechanism in a lock case to obtain a door opening effect.
[0032] In the present invention, the first cam 2 is supported by and fixed to the fixing part 42 of the unlocking member 4, so that the first cam 2 is able to rotate in unison with the unlocking member 4, and, also, the linked part 31 of the second cam 3 is linked to and supported by the connecting part 43 of the unlocking member 4, so that the second cam 3 is freely rotatable on the connecting part 43, and thus it is achieved that, in door opening operation from the first side 11 or the second side 12 of the main body 1, the first cam 2 and the second cam 3 are not manipulated synchronously, so that, provided that the mounting part 33 is fitted with the handle 5 or the rotary knob fixed thereto, when the key 6 is applied to open the door,The rotation of the key 6 does not necessarily entail the simultaneous rotation of the handle 5 or the rotary knob, thus avoiding the need for significant effort for such an operation. Therefore, in the present invention, the mounting part 33 is adapted to have the handle 5 arranged on it for easy application of force when opening the door.
