Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Method for installing a collector Technical field of the invention
[0001] The present invention relates to a method for installing a manifold. It is applicable in the field of piping. Previous technique
[0002] In a hydraulic installation, manifolds are generally found. For example, a first manifold receives the fluid from a hot source and distributes it to different components of the hydraulic network, while the other manifold collects the hydraulic fluid from the different components of the hydraulic network to discharge it or return it to the source.
[0003] The collectors are then generally mounted in a cabinet or a technical duct. Other positions for these collectors are possible.
[0004] Generally, manifolds are fixed in a cabinet, or similar structure, using clamps. Each clamp consists of two parts, half-rings or brackets, joined together by two screws. One part is fixed to a support plate, while the other part and the two screws are separate components. An assembler must then join a half-ring or bracket by the two screws to be able to fix a manifold. Then, to fix the manifold, they must position the half-ring or bracket onto the part fixed to the support and tighten the two screws.
[0005] Some prior art documents also propose an assembly comprising a manifold. For example, publication document FR3113713 is known, which describes an assembly for fixing plumbing or heating manifolds.
[0006] However, the disadvantage of such an assembly is its resistance to vibration and the jamming of the collector on the support, which alters the position of the collector. Presentation of the invention
[0007] The present invention aims to remedy these drawbacks with a completely innovative approach.
[0008] More specifically, the invention aims to provide a method for installing a collector in a collector support.
[0009] One objective of the invention is to provide such a method, which can be easily adapted to existing systems.
[0010] These objectives, as well as others that will appear subsequently, are achieved, according to a first aspect, by means of a method for placing a collector in a collector support, said collector extending between two ends comprising a plurality of outputs between said ends of the collector, remarkable in that the process comprises the following successive steps: -a) fix said collector support to a wall; said collector support has at least one opening in the shape of a "C", the distance between the ends of the shape of a "C" defines an opening length; -b) insert said collector into the collector support by said opening length defining a collector retention position; the collector comprises a section having at least two different dimensions, one of the sections being less than said opening length configured to achieve insertion into the collector, and another of the sections having a length greater than the opening length; -c) rotate the collector inside the "C" shape relative to the collector support configured to lock the collector in the collector support in the collector holding position.
[0011] Thanks to these arrangements, the rotation of the collector within the C-shaped opening mechanically locks the collector in place. This prevents the collector from moving longitudinally or laterally once installed. The pivoting also ensures that the larger section of the collector can no longer pass back through the opening, thus guaranteeing a secure fixing.
[0012] Fixing the collector support to a wall creates a stable and immobile structure for installing the collector. It ensures that the collector will be securely held in place during and after installation, preventing any unwanted movement.
[0013] The invention is advantageously implemented according to the embodiments and variants set out below, which are to be considered individually or according to any technically operative combination.
[0014] In one embodiment, during step b), the collector has an oval, oblong or polygonal shape.
[0015] Thanks to these arrangements, the shape allows the collector to be inserted into the collector support by the length of the opening.
[0016] In one embodiment, during step b), the collector includes at least one lug configured to cooperate with a flexible part belonging to the collector support.
[0017] In one embodiment, the flexible part of the collector support includes a tab; said tab being in contact with the lug.
[0018] Thanks to these arrangements, the tongue and the lug allow the collector to rotate and prevents it from vibrating.
[0019] In one embodiment, the method further comprises a preliminary step of folding the collector support; the collector support comprises a central plane having two ends and two lateral planes having the shape of a "C", said lateral planes being positioned perpendicularly on either side of the ends of said central plane; said central plane is configured to be fixed to the wall during step a).
[0020] Thanks to these provisions, this preliminary step makes it easier to transport to the assembly site and to easily create the collector support and install it on a solid wall.
[0021] In one embodiment, during step b) of insertion of the collector, said section less than the opening length is between 24 mm and 25.5 mm.
[0022] In one embodiment during step b) of insertion of the collector, said section greater than the opening length is between 26.5 mm and 38 mm.
[0023] In one embodiment during step b) of rotating the collector, the opening length of the "C" shape is between 25.5 mm and 26.5 mm.
[0024] In one embodiment the process further comprises a preliminary step of manufacturing the collector by plastic injection.
[0025] In one embodiment during the collector rotation step, the plurality of outlets are located substantially downwards or upwards relative to the collector support.
[0026] The outlets can be downwards or upwards depending on the installation. Brief description of the figures
[0027] Other advantages, purposes and features of the present invention will become apparent from the following description, given for explanatory purposes only and not as a limitation, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:
[0028] Fig. 1 represents a diagram showing the installation of the collector in the collector support;
[0029] Fig. 2 represents a profile view diagram of a collector;
[0030] Fig. 3 represents a diagram showing a collector from the process;
[0031] Fig. 4 represents several steps in the installation process. Description of the implementation methods
[0032] Fig. 1 shows a diagram showing the installation of the collector in the collector support.
[0033] The collector 20 has a cylindrical shape with a central through hole; in this figure, it has two flat parts. It has two different lengths, one of which allows the collector to be inserted into the "C" shape 21.
[0034] According to one variant, the collector 20 has an oval shape, a polygonal shape or an oblong shape.
[0035] The collector 20 has a plurality of outlets 22 having a central hole leading to the central through hole of the collector 20.
[0036] The collector 20 from this figure is installed in a collector support 25.
[0037] This collector support 25 is folded before being fixed to a wall. Before arriving at the installation site, the collector support 25 is flat. It comprises a central plane with two ends and two lateral planes in the shape of a "C". The lateral planes are folded and positioned perpendicularly on either side of the ends to the central plane.
[0038] The collector support 25 has a “C” shaped opening 21.
[0039] The C-shaped opening 21 has an opening length. This opening length allows the collector 20 to be inserted into the collector support 25.
[0040] In this variant, inside the "C" shaped opening 21 is a flexible part having a tab 24. The flexible part is at the ends of the C shape, there are two of them.
[0041] The shape of the tab 24 allows for a reminder of its initial position.
[0042] The tab 24 allows the position to be locked when the collector 20 has pivoted.
[0043] The collector 20 comprises a section having at least two different dimensions.
[0044] One of the sections is shorter than the opening length. This section is configured for insertion into the collector 20.
[0045] One of the sections is longer than the opening. This section allows the collector 20 to be locked inside the "C" shaped opening.
[0046] According to one embodiment, the collector 20 has two lugs 23 positioned on either side of the collector 20.
[0047] The lugs 23 cooperate with the tabs 24 to prevent vibrations between the collector 20 and the collector support 25. Each lug 23 locks the collector in the shape of “C”.
[0048] When installing the collector 20 in the collector support 25, the collector passes through the "C" shaped opening 21 and is pivoted substantially downwards (in the direction of Earth's gravity).
[0049] According to an example produced, the collector 20 is manufactured by plastic injection.
[0050] This product is made from a plastic material called Grivory (registered trademark). For example, it is a technical thermoplastic reinforced with 50% glass fibers and based on a semi-crystalline copolyamide. This type of material is an injection molding material that is particularly heat-resistant.
[0051] According to one variant, the collector is made from a PVC-type plastic material. The term PVC stands for Polyvinyl Chloride, a commonly used plastic.
[0052] Naturally, the invention is described above by way of example. It is understood that a person skilled in the art is able to carry out different embodiments of the invention without departing from the scope of the invention.
[0053] Fig. 2 shows a profile view diagram of a collector.
[0054] This profile view is a cross-sectional view of the collector 20 and a lug 23. There are two lugs 23 on the collector 20. One of the lugs 23 is along the entire length of the collector and the other lug is between two outlets 22.
[0055] In one variant, there is only one ergot 23.
[0056] According to one embodiment, the output plurality 22 has a length between 15 mm and 8 mm.
[0057] According to one variant, the length of the plurality of outlets 22 is 11 mm.
[0058] The two lugs 23 have a thickness between 5 mm and 0.5 mm.
[0059] According to one variant, the thickness is 2 mm.
[0060] Figure 3 shows a diagram of a collector from the process. It is shown in cross-section and in solid form.
[0061] The collector 20 has two diameters: an inner diameter of the through hole and an outer diameter of the through hole.
[0062] According to one embodiment, the inner diameter of the central through hole is between 22 mm and 15 mm.
[0063] According to one variant, the inner diameter is 18 mm.
[0064] The outside diameter of the central through hole is between 35 mm and 22 mm.
[0065] The through holes of the plurality of outlets have a diameter.
[0066] Each outlet being separated by a distance of between 60 mm and 40 mm.
[0067] The diameter of the through holes of the plurality of outlets 22 is between 9 mm and 17 mm.
[0068] Figure 4 shows a diagram showing several steps of the installation process.
[0069] The method further comprises a preliminary step of folding the collector support 25 (not shown), the collector support 25 comprises a central plane having two ends and two lateral planes having the shape of "C", said lateral planes being positioned perpendicularly on either side of the ends of the central plane.
[0070] After this step, we obtain the collector support 25 shown in this figure.
[0071] The arrows shown on the diagram show the step of inserting the collector 20 into the collector support 25 by the length of the opening of the "C" shaped opening 21, and the step of rotating the collector 20.
[0072] The collector 20 used in this figure has the same characteristics as [Fig. 1]. However, the collector support is not that of [Fig. 1]; it does not have a flexible part.
[0073] During the rotation step of the collector 20, the plurality of outlets 22 are located substantially downwards with respect to the collector support 25 and with respect to the direction of Earth's gravity.
[0074] According to one embodiment, during the rotation step of the collector 20, the collector is rotated substantially 90 degrees. This allows it to lock itself at the collector outlets. These can be facing upwards or downwards.
[0075] It is emphasized that all features, as they are apparent to a person skilled in the art from the present description, drawings and attached features, even if in practice they have only been described in relation to other specific features, both individually and in any combinations, can be combined with other features or groups of features disclosed herein, provided that this has not been expressly excluded or that technical circumstances make such combinations impossible or meaningless.
