Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Multifunctional system for a pair of roller skis, and roller ski kit
[0001] The present invention relates to the technical field of roller skis, and more particularly to a multifunctional system for a pair of roller skis, and a roller ski kit.
[0002] Roller skis are devices intended to be worn by a user to allow them to move around, experiencing the sensations of skiing on a snow-free surface.
[0003] There are non-motorized roller skis that allow a user to move in the same way as they would with cross-country or touring skis, that is, by reproducing the same movements. There are also motorized roller skis that allow users to reproduce the sensations of alpine skiing. For example, the French patent application filed by the applicant under number FR 2212891 and published under number FR 3142910 discloses roller skis with a driven and pivoting front wheel.
[0004] However, roller skis have certain drawbacks. They can be difficult for the user to put on, especially if they are unable to sit down. Furthermore, they can also be difficult for the user to lift or carry, for example, due to their weight and size. These problems can be even more pronounced when the user is a child.
[0005] Consequently, the prior art solutions proposed for roller skis still have disadvantages and improvements are possible.
[0006] The present invention aims in particular to solve the problems indicated above by proposing a multifunctional system for a pair of roller skis, and a roller ski kit.
[0007] Thus, the present invention relates to a multifunctional system for a pair of roller skis, characterized by the fact that: the system comprises a first connecting part fixed to a first roller ski, a second connecting part fixed to a second roller ski, and a coupler comprising a spacer having a first end of spacer configured to engage in a releasable manner with the first connecting part, a second end of spacer configured to engage with the second connecting part, and a spacer body extending between the first and second ends of spacer; the first connecting part and the second connecting part are configured to be arranged opposite each other on each of the roller skis when said roller skis are aligned side by side on their wheels on a flat surface;the coupler is configured to connect in a releasable manner the first roller ski to the second roller ski along an axis parallel to transverse axes of the ski-; wheels, so as to form a stable assembly and to impose a fixed distance between the first connecting part and the second connecting part; and at least one of the first end of the spacer and of the first connecting part includes a friction locking means, such that the first end of the spacer is locked by friction by the at least one friction locking means in a position of use relative to the first connecting part, after a relative rotation of the first end of the spacer and of the first connecting part.
[0008] It will be understood that the formation, using the multi-function system, of a stable assembly from the pair of roller skis allows a user to put on the roller skis more easily, even when the user is unable to sit down. It will also be understood that the formation of such a stable assembly makes it easier for the user to transport the pair of roller skis.
[0009] At least one friction locking means makes the multifunction system easier to use by allowing a configuration that facilitates the releaseable engagement between the first linking part and the first spacer end, while allowing locking at the end of travel, after rotation, so that, in use, the first spacer end is not unintentionally released from the first linking part.
[0010] It will also be understood that, depending on the variant, the multifunction system may include latches at each releasable engagement point, so that a user can lock the multifunction system with a key after the stable assembly has been formed. The multifunction system then also has an anti-theft function. It will be understood that, in this case, the multifunction system, for example the spacer body, preferably includes an attachment system, for example a ring, allowing the multifunction system to be attached, for example by means of a cable or a lock, to an element of street furniture, for example a lamppost or a bicycle rack.
[0011] According to a particular embodiment, the first connecting part, respectively the second connecting part, is one of a connecting part integrated into a body of the respective roller ski of the pair of roller skis, and a connecting part integrated into a fastening device configured to be fastened to a body of the respective roller ski of the pair of roller skis.
[0012] Preferably, each connecting part is integrated into the body of the respective roller ski. It will be understood that several technical solutions can be used to obtain a roller ski body into which the connecting part is integrated, for example, screwing, a one-piece part, riveting, welding or gluing.
[0013] Alternatively, the first connecting part and the second connecting part can each be integrated into a respective configured fastening device to be attached to the body of the respective roller ski, so that the multifunctional system can be adapted to existing roller skis by retrofitting. The attachment device can, for example, be attached to the respective roller ski by welding, gluing, screwing, or clamping, for example, clamping with two jaws like a vise.
[0014] According to a particular embodiment, a gripping member is formed on the spacer body to allow a user to grip the spacer body in order to lift the pair of roller skis as a single unit and allow transport of the pair of roller skis, when the roller skis are not fitted by the user and the spacer is engaged with the first and second connecting parts.
[0015] It will be understood that the gripping organ allows the user to more easily grasp the spacer body to lift the pair of ski wheels.
[0016] It will also be understood that, preferably, the gripping member has an ergonomic three-dimensional shape designed to receive the user's hand, or part thereof. It will also be understood that the gripping member is preferably configured to have a length greater than the width of the user's hand, in order to facilitate the user's gripping of the member, for example, a length of 12 cm.
[0017] According to a particular embodiment, one of the first connecting part and the first end of the spacer comprises a groove having a first opening part, a second opening part arranged parallel to the first opening part and an inner chamber extending laterally from a portion of the second opening part, a width of the second opening part being greater than a width of the first opening part, and the other of the first connecting part and the first end of the spacer comprises an extension having a joining part and a distal end, beyond the joining part, the cross-section of which is larger than a cross-section of the joining part, the releasable engagement being achieved by meshing the groove and the extension,by sliding the connecting part into the first opening part and by sliding the distal end into the second opening part; the cross-section of the distal end comprises, in addition to a first dimension smaller than the width of the second opening part, a second dimension both larger than the width of the second opening part and smaller than a minimum dimension of a cross-section of the inner chamber, such that the extension can slide into the groove and then be locked in it by rotation of the distal end in the inner chamber; and the inner chamber has a depth of less than , a depth of the second opening part, such that after rotation of the distal end in the inner chamber the distal end is tighter than in the second opening part, the variation in depth forming a means of locking by friction.
[0018] This configuration allows for a releasable engagement between the first end of the spacer and the first part of the connection, by complementary shape allowing sliding and then rotation.
[0019] Preferably, the joining portion is a cylinder whose diameter is less than the width of the first open portion of the groove. It will be understood, however, that according to variations, the joining portion could have other shapes, for example, the shape of a prism with a polygonal base.
[0020] Preferably, the distal end is always in the shape of an oval-based prism. However, it will be understood that, according to variations, the distal end could have other shapes.
[0021] Thus, each extension can slide into the groove and then be locked in it by the user, by a rotation, for example of 65 degrees or 90 degrees, of the spacer, around the axis parallel to the transverse axes of the ski-wheels, causing a rotation of the distal end in the inner chamber.
[0022] The variation in depth between the second opening part and the inner chamber allows the first end of the spacer to be locked in relation to the first connecting part, in particular to prevent accidental release.
[0023] According to a particular embodiment, the second end of the spacer is permanently engaged and articulated with the second connecting part, so that the coupler can be folded down along the second ski wheel to which it is permanently connected, the engagement being preferably achieved by at least one of a pivot connection and a ball joint connection.
[0024] Preferably, the coupler can be folded down like a kickstand along the second roller ski so as not to interfere with the use of the roller skis.
[0025] It will be understood that if the permanent articulated joint is implemented by means of a pivot joint, the pivot joint is mounted on a bearing allowing the user to rotate the spacer around the axis parallel to the transverse axes of the roller skis, after engaging the first end of the spacer and the first part of the joint. It will also be understood that the use of a ball joint for the permanent articulated joint allows the user to directly perform the necessary rotation around the axis parallel to the transverse axes of the roller skis.
[0026] According to a particular embodiment, the second end of the spacer is configured to engage in a releasable manner with the second connecting part; and at least one of the second end of the spacer and of the second connecting part includes a friction locking means, such that the second end of the spacer is locked by friction by the at least one friction locking means in a position of use relative to the second connecting part, after a relative rotation of the second end of the spacer and the second connecting part.
[0027] In this configuration, the coupler can be completely detached from the ski wheels, which allows, for example, the user to place the coupler in a backpack or in a clothing pocket.
[0028] It will be understood that at least one friction locking means has the same advantages as on the side of the first connecting part and the first end of the spacer.
[0029] According to a particular embodiment, one of the second connecting part and the second end of the spacer comprises a groove having a first opening part, a second opening part arranged parallel to the first opening part and an inner chamber extending laterally from a portion of the second opening part, a width of the second opening part being greater than a width of the first opening part, and the other of the second connecting part and the second end of the spacer comprises an extension having a joining part and a distal end, beyond the joining part, the cross-section of which is larger than a cross-section of the joining part, the releasable engagement being achieved by meshing the groove and the extension,by sliding the connecting portion in the first opening portion and by sliding the distal end in the second opening portion; the cross-section of the distal end comprises, in addition to a first dimension smaller than the width of the second opening portion, a second dimension both larger than the width of the second opening portion and smaller than a minimum dimension of a cross-section of the inner chamber, such that the extension can slide in the groove and then be locked therein by rotation of the distal end in the inner chamber; and the inner chamber has a depth less than the depth of the second opening portion, such that after rotation of the distal end in the inner chamber, the distal end is more tightly clamped than in the second opening portion, the variation in depth forming a means of locking by friction.
[0030] It will be understood that this configuration has the same effects and advantages as on the side of the first connecting part and the first end of the spacer.
[0031] According to a particular embodiment, the groove or grooves form a "T" shaped groove, the first opening part forming the "T" shaped part of the groove corresponding to the shaft of the "T" and the second opening part forming the part of the groove in "T" corresponding to the crossbar of the "T".
[0032] In some variations, the groove profile may have a different shape, for example, a mushroom shape. It will be understood that the shape of the extension is chosen to match the shape of the groove.
[0033] According to a particular embodiment, the multifunctional system further comprises facets arranged in the inner chamber or each inner chamber and progressively increasing in thickness from the second opening part, radially in the direction of relative rotation of the first spacer end and the first connecting part, where appropriate the direction of relative rotation of the second spacer end and the second connecting part, so as to form the variation in depth between the second opening part and the inner chamber.
[0034] According to a particular embodiment, the facets are made of polymer, said polymer being at least one of more anti-slip than the rest of the inner chamber, so as to improve the locking, and more flexible than the rest of the inner chamber, so as to allow deformation of the facets during a rotation of the spacer in order to facilitate this operation.
[0035] The polymer can, for example, be rubber.
[0036] According to a particular embodiment, for the inner chamber or each inner chamber, the multifunction system further comprises two stops, each disposed in the inner chamber on a respective side of the second opening part, the stops being configured to come into contact simultaneously with the distal end in an end-of-stroke position after a relative rotation of the first spacer end and the first connecting part, where appropriate a relative rotation of the second spacer end and the second connecting part.
[0037] The use of two stops makes it possible in particular to better distribute a force applied by the extension on the inner chamber, so as to prevent a sagging.
[0038] According to a particular embodiment, the distal end or each distal end comprises a convex distal surface, such that the distal end comprises a central part that is thicker than the radial parts, the central part and the radial parts being configured to slide in the second opening part, and only the radial parts being configured to rotate in the inner chamber, such that a displacement of the distal end in the respective groove is facilitated while allowing locking by friction.
[0039] According to a particular embodiment, the multifunctional system further comprises anti-slip pads, for example made of rubber, disposed on the radial parts of the distal end(s), the anti-slip pads being more anti-slip than the rest of the distal end and forming friction-locking means, the anti-slip pads being preferably more flexible than the rest of the distal end, so as to allow deformation of the anti-slip pads during a rotation of the spacer in order to facilitate this operation.
[0040] The polymer can, for example, be rubber.
[0041] According to a particular embodiment, the first end of the spacer, where applicable the second end of the spacer, includes a first means for locking in position; and the first connecting part, where applicable the second connecting part, includes a second means for locking in position; and the first end of the spacer, where applicable the second end of the spacer, is locked in a position of use relative to the first connecting part, respectively the second connecting part, by cooperation of the first and second means for locking in position, the first and second means for locking in position being chosen from: two magnets; and a pair of a recess and one from among a spring-loaded rod and a spring-loaded ball.
[0042] It will be understood that, preferably, the locking means in position allow the spacer to be maintained in the locked position, after rotation of the spacer around the axis parallel to the transverse axes of the ski-wheels.
[0043] It will also be understood that the locking means can, alternatively, be used as a notch to indicate to the user the correct position of the spacer relative to the connecting parts, before rotation around the axis parallel to the transverse axes of the roller skis. The locking means can then be placed on the axis of rotation of the spacer, that is to say, the axis parallel to the transverse axes of the roller skis.
[0044] It will also be understood that the means of locking in position are preferably configured to allow a user to manually unlock the means of locking in position.
[0045] According to a particular embodiment, the system is configured for use with motorized roller skis, a housing being formed in the spacer body to receive a remote control for controlling at least one motor of the roller skis.
[0046] It will be understood that each roller ski can include one or more motors configured to drive the front R wheel and / or the rear R wheel. The motors can, for example, be housed in the hubs of the roller ski wheels.
[0047] According to a particular embodiment, the housing includes at least one window configured to allow a user to manipulate at least one control button of the remote control received in the housing, and the spacer body is configured so that, when the spacer is not engaged with the connecting parts, it can be held in the hand by the user in order to control a movement of the ski wheels using the remote control.
[0048] This configuration allows the user in particular to hold the multifunction system in his hand, when he has put on the roller skis, to control his movement on the roller skis.
[0049] It will be understood that the number of windows is chosen according to the remote control intended to be received in the dwelling. Windows may, for example, be provided to display a remote control display or to allow manipulation of buttons for selecting operating modes of the roller skis. The control button may, for example, be a trigger-type button or a control lever-type button.
[0050] An opening may be provided in the spacer body, for example a hatch in the spacer body or a spacer body formed of two shells joined by means of a hinge, allowing access to the housing to remove the remote control, either to change the batteries or to change the remote control, while keeping the coupler.
[0051] According to a particular embodiment, the coupler further comprises a gripping part connected to the spacer body by a telescopic part, the telescopic part being configured to selectively extend the gripping part opposite the spacer body and retract the gripping part towards the spacer body, and the gripping part being configured to allow a user to grip it in order to pull the pair of roller skis as a single unit and to allow transport of the pair of roller skis, when the roller skis are not fitted by the user and the spacer is engaged with the first and second connecting parts.
[0052] Preferably, the telescopic part comprises two telescopic tubes, each extending between a respective end of the gripping part and the spacer body. However, it will be understood that, according to an alternative embodiment, the telescopic part may comprise a single telescopic tube connecting a central portion of the gripping part and the spacer body.
[0053] According to a particular embodiment, the gripping part includes a remote control configured to control the release of the first end of the spacer, where applicable of the second end of the spacer, from the first connecting part, respectively from the second connecting part.
[0054] For example, if the means for locking in position use spring-loaded elements, the remote control can be a cable system that applies force to the spring-loaded elements against the springs. Again, for example, if the means for locking in position use magnets, more specifically electromagnets, the remote control can be a system for controlling the electromagnets.
[0055] According to a particular embodiment, the gripping part includes at least one control button configured to control at least one of a braking of the roller skis and an acceleration of the roller skis.
[0056] This configuration allows the user in particular to control the motorized roller skis during transport, when the user has extended the telescopic part and pulls the roller skis, in the manner of a trolley, using the gripping part.
[0057] The invention also relates to a roller ski kit, characterized in that it includes a pair of roller skis, and a multifunctional system according to the invention.
[0058] We will now describe particular embodiments of the present invention, with reference to the attached drawings.

[0067] [Fig.6] is a perspective view of the coupler of [Fig.2], the telescopic part is extent.
[0068] If we refer first of all to [Fig.1], we can see that a multifunctional system M according to a first embodiment of the present invention is represented there, mounted on a pair of roller skis SI, S2.
[0069] A multifunctional system M according to the invention comprises a first linking part 1, a second linking part 2 and a coupler 3.
[0070] The first connecting part 1 is integral with a first roller ski SL. The first roller ski SI corresponds to the left roller ski SI in the first embodiment illustrated in [Fig.1].
[0071] The second connecting part 2 is attached to a second roller ski S2. The second roller ski S2 corresponds to the straight roller ski S2 in the first embodiment illustrated in [Fig.1].
[0072] As can be seen in Figures 1, 5a and 5b, according to the invention, the first connecting part 1 and the second connecting part 2 are configured to be arranged opposite each other on each of the SI, S2 roller skis, when said SI, S2 roller skis are aligned side by side on their R wheels on a flat surface.
[0073] Referring also to [Fig. 3], it can be seen that in the first embodiment, the first connecting part 1 is integrated into a body C of the first roller ski SI, in particular into a riser of the body C of the first roller ski SI. According to some variations, the first connecting part 1 can be integrated into another part of the body C of the first roller ski SI, for example, into the edge of a user's foot support. Furthermore, according to other variations, the first connecting part 1 could be integrated into a fastening device configured to be fastened to the body C of the first roller ski SI, so as to allow retrofitting onto an existing roller ski 1. The fastening device can, for example, be fastened by welding, gluing, screwing, or clamping, for example, clamping with two jaws like a vise.
[0074] Similarly, it will be understood that in the first embodiment the second connecting part 2 is integrated into a body C of the second roller ski S2, but could, alternatively, be integrated into a fastening device configured to be fastened to the body C of the second roller ski S2, to allow a catch-up installation on the second roller ski S2.
[0075] Referring to Figures 2 and 6, which depict a coupler 3 according to the first embodiment, it can be seen that the coupler 3 comprises a spacer 31 having a first spacer end 311, a second spacer end 312, and a spacer body 313. The first spacer end 311 is configured to engage in a releasable manner with the first connecting part 1, the second spacer end 312 is configured to engage with the second connecting part 2, and the spacer body 313 extends between the first and second spacer ends 311, 312.
[0076] For the purposes of this invention, a "releaseable engagement" or "releaseable connection" is understood to be an engagement or connection that can be manually released by a user through manipulation of the coupler 3 and / or the connecting part 1, 2. It will therefore be understood that various technical solutions can be implemented to achieve a releaseable engagement. However, an engagement based on complementary shapes, by sliding and then rotating, is preferred to enable the releaseable engagement.
[0077] As can be seen in [Fig. 1], the coupler 3 is configured to releasably connect the first roller ski S1 to the second roller ski S2 along an axis parallel to the transverse axes of the roller skis SI, S2, so as to form a stable assembly and impose a fixed distance between the first connecting part 1 and the second connecting part 2. The transverse axes of the roller skis SI, S2 are perpendicular to the average longitudinal directions of the roller skis SI, S2, and are horizontal when The SI, S2 roller skis are on their R wheels on a flat surface. The average longitudinal directions of the SI, S2 roller skis correspond to the directions of the user's feet when they have put on the SI, S2 roller skis.
[0078] As mentioned above, according to the invention, the coupler 3 is configured to releasably connect the first roller ski SI to the second roller ski S2. As will be described in more detail below, this effect is achieved by combining a releasable engagement between the coupler 3 and the first roller ski SI, and either a releasable engagement between the coupler 3 and the second roller ski S2 or a permanent engagement between the coupler 3 and the second roller ski S2.
[0079] Furthermore, it will be understood that the formation, using the multifunction system M, of a stable assembly from the pair of SI, S2 roller skis allows in particular a user to put on the SI, S2 roller skis more easily, even when the user does not have the possibility of sitting down.
[0080] It will also be understood that the formation of such a stable assembly allows a user to lift and transport the pair of SI, S2 roller skis in one piece.
[0081] It will also be understood that, depending on variants, the multifunction system M may include latches at each releasable engagement point, so that a user can lock the multifunction system M with a key after the stable assembly has been formed. The multifunction system M then also has an anti-theft function. It will be understood that, in this case, the multifunction system M, for example the spacer body 313, preferably includes an attachment system, for example a ring, for attaching the multifunction system M, for example with a cable or a lock, to an element of street furniture, for example a lamppost or a bicycle rack.
[0082] In the first embodiment shown in Figures 1, 2 and 6, a gripping member 313a is advantageously formed on the spacer body 313 to allow a user to grip the spacer body 313 in order to lift the pair of roller skis SI, S2 as a single unit and to allow transport of the pair of roller skis SI, S2, when the roller skis SI, S2 are not worn by the user and the spacer 31 is engaged with the first and second connecting parts 1, 2. It will be understood that, preferably, the gripping member 313a has an ergonomic three-dimensional shape designed to receive the user's hand, or a part thereof. It will also be understood that the gripping member 313a is preferably configured to have a length greater than the width of the user's hand, in order to facilitate the user's gripping of the gripping member 313a, for example a length of 12 cm.
[0083] As mentioned above, the first end of the spacer 311 is configured to engage in a releasable manner with the first connecting part 1. Furthermore, according the invention, at least one of the first end of spacer 311 and of the first connecting part 1 comprises a friction locking means 5, such that the first end of spacer 311 is locked by friction by the at least one friction locking means 5 in a position of use relative to the first connecting part 1, after a relative rotation of the first end of spacer 311 and of the first connecting part 1.
[0084] At least one friction locking means 5 makes the multifunction system M easier to use by allowing a configuration that facilitates the releaseable engagement between the first linkage part 1 and the first end of the spacer 311, while allowing locking at the end of travel, after rotation, such that, in use, the first end of the spacer 311 is not unintentionally released from the first linkage part 1. The friction locking means 5 will be described in more detail below.
[0085] By referring to Figures 2, 3, 4a, 4b and 6, it can be seen that, in the first embodiment, the first connecting part 1 comprises a groove 11 having a first open portion 1a, a second open portion 11b, arranged parallel to the first open portion 1a, and an inner chamber 11c extending laterally from a portion of the second open portion 11b. A width of the second open portion 11b is greater than a width of the first open portion 1a.
[0086] Furthermore, the first end of the spacer 311 includes an extension 311a comprising a connecting portion 311b and a distal end 311c, beyond the connecting portion 311b. A cross-section of the distal end 311c is larger than a cross-section of the connecting portion 311b.
[0087] The releasable engagement, between the first connecting part 1 and the first end of the spacer 311, is achieved by engaging the groove 11 and the extension 311a, by sliding the connecting part 311b into the first opening part 1a and by sliding the distal end 311c into the second opening part 11b.
[0088] In the first embodiment, the joining part 311b is a cylinder whose diameter is less than the width of the first opening part 1 of the groove 11. It will be understood, however, that according to variants, the joining part 311b could have another shape, for example a prism with a polygonal base.
[0089] Furthermore, the cross-section of the distal end 311c comprises, in addition to a first dimension smaller than the width of the second opening portion 11b, a second dimension both larger than the width of the second opening portion 11b and smaller than a minimum dimension of a cross-section of the inner chamber 11, such that the extension 311a can slide in the groove 11 and then be locked in it by rotation, for example, of 65 degrees. The distal end 311c is located in the inner chamber 11c. Depending on the variant, the M system can be configured for 90-degree rotation. It will be understood that, for locking, the user rotates the spacer 31 around the axis parallel to the transverse axes of the ski-wheels SI, S2.
[0090] In the first embodiment shown in Figures 2 and 6, the distal end 311c has the shape of an oval-based prism. It will be understood, however, that, according to variations, the distal end 311c could have other shapes. The distal end 311c could, for example, extend only on one side of a longitudinal axis of the extension 311a.
[0091] Furthermore, the inner chamber 1 has a shallower depth than the second opening portion 11b, such that after rotation of the distal end 311c within the inner chamber 1, the distal end 311c is more tightly clamped than in the second opening portion 11b. Thus, the variation in depth forms a friction locking mechanism 5. Depth is understood to be a dimension along a direction parallel to a transverse direction of the roller ski SI. The depth quantifies a free interval between two solid parts. It will be understood that the shape of the distal end 31 and the shape of the inner chamber 1 are chosen to correspond to each other.
[0092] It will be understood that, alternatively, the male and female parts can be reversed, so that the first end of the spacer 311 includes the groove 11 and the first connecting part 1 includes the extension 311a, the releasable engagement always being achieved by engaging the groove 11 and the extension 311a, by sliding the extension 311a in the groove 11 and then locking by rotation.
[0093] Furthermore, in the first embodiment shown in Figures 1, 3, 4a and 4b, the groove 11 forms a T-shaped groove, the first open portion 11a forming the part of the T-shaped groove corresponding to the stem of the T and the second open portion 11b forming the part of the T-shaped groove corresponding to the crossbar of the T. According to variations, the profile of the groove 11 may have another shape, for example a mushroom shape. It will be understood that the shape of the extension 311a is chosen to correspond to the shape of the groove 11.
[0094] Furthermore, in the first embodiment, see Figures 4a and 4b, the first connecting part 1 comprises an outer part 12 and an inner part 14 assembled together by screwing. It will be understood that other technical solutions can be used for this assembly, for example riveting, gluing, or welding. It will also be understood that, depending on the requirements, the first connecting part 1 can be formed in one piece, or in more than two parts. In the first embodiment, the inner part 14 is formed in one piece with the body C of the first roller ski SI, in particular with the riser, alternatively the inner part 14 can be attached by any means to the body of the first SI roller ski, for example by screwing, riveting, welding or gluing.
[0095] As mentioned above, depending on variants, in order for the multifunctional system M to allow for retrofitting, the first connecting part 1 can be integrated into a fastening device configured to be fastened to the body C of the first roller ski SI. It will then be understood that the inner part 14 is fastened to the fastening device, for example by screwing, riveting, welding or gluing, and that the fastening device is, in use, fastened to the first roller ski SI, for example by welding, gluing, screwing or clamping, for example clamping with two jaws in the manner of a vise.
[0096] In the first embodiment shown in Figures 1, 2 and 6, the second end of the spacer 312 is also configured to engage in a releasably manner with the second connecting part 2, so that the coupler 3 can be completely detached from the ski wheels SI, S2, which allows, for example, the user to place the coupler 3 in a backpack or in a clothing pocket.
[0097] However, according to some variations, the second end of the spacer 312 can be permanently engaged and articulated with the second connecting part 2, such that the coupler 3 can be folded down along the second roller ski S2 to which it is permanently connected. It will be understood that, preferably, in this case the coupler 3 folds down along the second roller ski S2 like a kickstand, which allows, for example, the user to avoid losing the coupler 3, without being hindered by the coupler 3 when using the roller skis SI, S2. The permanent engagement can, for example, be achieved by means of a pivot joint or a ball joint. In this case, it will be understood that if the permanent articulated connection is implemented by a pivot joint type hinge, the pivot joint is mounted on a bearing allowing the user to rotate the spacer 31 around the axis parallel to the transverse axes of the ski rollers SI, S2, after sliding the extension 311a in the groove 11. It will also be understood that the use of a ball joint for the permanent articulated connection allows the user to directly perform the necessary rotation around the axis parallel to the transverse axes of the ski rollers SI, S2.
[0098] When, as in the first embodiment shown in Figures 1, 2 and 6, the second end of the spacer 312 is configured to engage releasably with the second connecting part 2, preferably, at least one of the second end of the spacer 312 and the second connecting part 2 comprises a friction locking means 5, such that the second end of the spacer 312 is frictionally locked by the at least one friction locking means 5 in a working position relative to the second connecting part 2, after a relative rotation of the second end of spacer 312 and the second part of connection 2.
[0099] The at least one friction locking means 5 makes the multifunction system easier to use by allowing a configuration that facilitates the releaseable engagement between the second linking part 2 and the second end of the spacer 312, while allowing a locking at the end of the stroke, after rotation, so that, in use, the second end of the spacer 312 is not unintentionally released from the second linking part 2.
[0100] In the first embodiment shown in [Fig. 1], 2 and 6, the second connecting part 2 is a mirror image of the first connecting part 1 shown in Figures 4a and 4b. Thus, the second connecting part 2 comprises a groove 21 having a first opening portion 21a, a second opening portion 21b arranged parallel to the first opening portion 21a, and an inner chamber 21c extending laterally from a portion of the second opening portion 21b. A width of the second opening portion 21b is greater than a width of the first opening portion 21a.
[0101] In a manner analogous to the first connecting part 1, it will be understood that the second connecting part 2 can comprise an outer part 22 and an inner part 24 assembled together, for example by screwing, riveting, gluing or welding, alternatively be formed in more than two parts, or alternatively be formed in one piece.
[0102] Furthermore, with reference to Figures 2 and 6, the second end of the spacer 312 comprises an extension 312a having a connecting portion 312b and a distal end 312c, beyond the connecting portion 312b. A cross-section of the distal end 312c is larger than a cross-section of the connecting portion 312b.
[0103] The releasable engagement, between the second connecting part 2 and the second end of the spacer 312, is achieved by engaging the groove 21 and the extension 312a, by sliding the connecting part 312b into the first opening part 21a and by sliding the distal end 312c into the second opening part 21b.
[0104] In the first embodiment, the joining part 312b is a cylinder whose diameter is less than the width of the first opening part 21a of the groove 21. It will be understood, however, that according to variants, the joining part 312b could have another shape, for example a prism with a polygonal base.
[0105] Furthermore, the cross-section of the distal end 312c comprises, in addition to a first dimension smaller than the width of the second opening part 21b, a second dimension that is both larger than the width of the second opening part 21b and smaller than a minimum dimension of a cross-section of the inner chamber 21c, such that the extension 312a can slide into the groove 21 and then be locked in it by rotating, for example, by 65 degrees, the distal end 312c within the inner chamber 21c. As mentioned above for the first end of the spacer 311 and the first connecting part 1, depending on the variant, the system M can be configured so that the rotation is 90 degrees. It will be understood that, for locking, the user rotates the spacer 31 around the axis parallel to the transverse axes of the ski rollers SI, S2.
[0106] In the first embodiment shown in Figures 2 and 6, the distal end 312c has the shape of an oval-based prism. It will be understood, however, that, according to variations, the distal end 312c could have other shapes. The distal end 312c could, for example, extend only on one side of a longitudinal axis of the extension 312a.
[0107] Furthermore, the inner chamber 21c has a shallower depth than the second opening portion 21b, such that after rotation of the distal end 312c within the inner chamber 21c, the distal end 312c is more tightly clamped than in the second opening portion 21b. Thus, the variation in depth forms a friction locking mechanism 5. Depth is defined as a dimension along a direction parallel to a transverse direction of the roller ski S2. The depth quantifies a free interval between two solid parts. It will be understood that the shape of the distal end 312c and the shape of the inner chamber 21c are chosen to correspond to each other.
[0108] It will also be understood that, alternatively, the male and female parts can be reversed, so that the second end of the spacer 312 includes the groove 21 and the second connecting part 2 includes the extension 312a, the releasable engagement always being achieved by engaging the groove 21 and the extension 312a, by sliding the extension 312a in the groove 21 and then locking by rotation.
[0109] Furthermore, with reference to [Fig. 1] and by mirror symmetry to Figures 3, 4a and 4b, it can be seen that, in the first embodiment, the groove 21 forms a T-shaped groove, the first opening portion 21a forming the part of the T-shaped groove corresponding to the stem of the T and the second opening portion 21b forming the part of the T-shaped groove corresponding to the crossbar of the T. According to variants, the profile of the groove 21 can have another shape, for example a mushroom shape. It will be understood that the shape of the extension 312a is chosen to correspond to the shape of the groove 21.
[0110] Furthermore, it will be understood that the use of a symmetrical structure for the connecting parts 1, 2 and the spacer ends 311, 312, as is the case in the first embodiment shown in Figures 1 to 6, allows the coupler 3 to be mounted in both directions, that is to say that the first spacer end 311 could also be engaged in a releasable manner with the second connecting part 2, the second end of spacer 312 then being engaged in a releasable manner with the first connecting part 1.
[0111] It will also be understood that, according to variants, the grooves 11, 21, and therefore the extensions 311a, 312a, may have slightly different dimensions or shapes, for example for a keying effect. According to other variants, again for a keying effect, the male and female parts could be reversed only on one side of the coupler 3, that is to say, one connecting part 1, 2 could include a groove 11, 21 while the other connecting part 1, 2 would include an extension 311a, 312a, and that one end of a spacer 311, 312 could include an extension 311a, 312a while the other end of a spacer 311, 312 would include a groove 11, 21.
[0112] With reference to Figures 4a and 4b, in the first embodiment, the multifunctional system M further comprises facets 1 Id, 21d arranged in each inner chamber 1 le, 21c and progressively increasing in thickness from the second opening part 11b, 21b, radially in the direction of relative rotation of the first end of spacer 311 and the first connecting part 1, respectively the direction of relative rotation of the second end of spacer 312 and the second connecting part 2, so as to form the variation in depth, between the second opening part 11b, 21b and the inner chamber 1 le, 21c, forming a friction locking means 5.
[0113] Advantageously, the facets 1 Id, 21c can be made of polymer, said polymer can in particular be more anti-slip than the rest of the inner chamber 1 le, 21c, so as to improve the locking, and / or be more flexible than the rest of the inner chamber 1 le, 21c, so as to allow deformation of the facets 1 Id, 21c during rotation of the spacer 31 by the user, in order to facilitate this operation.
[0114] Still with reference to Figures 4a and 5a, in the first embodiment, for each inner chamber 11c, 21c, the multifunction system M further comprises two stops 11e, 21e. For each inner chamber 11e, 21c, each of the two stops 11e, 21e is disposed in the inner chamber 11e, 21c on a respective side of the second opening part 11b, 21b. The stops 1, 21e are configured to simultaneously contact the distal end 311c, 312c of the extension 311a, 312a in an end-of-stroke position after a relative rotation of the first end of the spacer 311 and the first connecting part 1, and respectively a relative rotation of the second end of the spacer 312 and the second connecting part 2. The use of two stops 1, 21e allows, in particular, for better distribution a force applied by the extension 311a, 312a on the inner chamber 1 le, 21c, so as to prevent a maul.
[0115] Furthermore, with reference to Figures 2 and 6, in the first embodiment, each distal end 311c, 312c of the extensions 311a, 312a comprises a convex distal surface 31d, 312d, such that the distal end 311c, 312c comprises a central portion that is thicker than the radial portions. The central portion and the radial portions are configured to slide in the second open portion 11b, 21b of each groove 11, 21. Only the radial portions are configured to rotate in the inner chamber 11, 21c, such that movement of the distal end 311c, 312c in the respective groove 11, 21 is facilitated while allowing locking by friction.
[0116] According to variants, the multifunctional system M may further include anti-slip pads, for example made of rubber, disposed on the radial parts of the distal ends 311c, 312c, the anti-slip pads being more anti-slip than the rest of the distal end 311c, 312c and forming friction locking means 5. It will be understood that the anti-slip pads do not restrict the sliding of the extensions 31la, 312a in the grooves 11, 21 due to the convex shape of the convex distal surfaces 31Id, 312d, but allow the locking to be improved by increasing the friction between the distal ends 311c, 312c and the inner chambers 11c, 21c. Furthermore, the anti-slip pads are preferably more flexible than the rest of the distal end 311c, 312c, so as to allow deformation of the anti-slip pads when the spacer 31 is rotated by the user, in order to facilitate this operation.
[0117] In the first embodiment shown in Figures 2, 4a, 4b and 6, the first end of spacer 311, respectively the second end of spacer 312, includes a first locking means in position 4, and the first connecting part 1, respectively the second connecting part 2, includes a second locking means in position 4. Thus, in use, the first end of spacer 311, respectively the second end of spacer 312, is locked in a prescribed operating position relative to the first connecting part 1, respectively the second connecting part 2, by cooperation of the first and second locking means in position 4.
[0118] In the first embodiment, the first means for locking in position 4 are recesses, and the second means for locking in position 4 are spring-loaded balls. In [Fig. 4a], only the housing for the spring-loaded ball is visible. It will be understood that, according to variations, the first and second means for locking in position can take other forms, for example, two magnets, or a pair consisting of a recess and a spring-loaded rod.
[0119] In the first embodiment, it will be understood that the locking means in position 4 make it possible to maintain the ends of spacer 311, 312 in a locked position, after a rotation of the ends of spacer 311, 312, for example by 65 degrees or 90 degrees, in the connecting parts 1, 2, around the axis parallel to the transverse axes of the ski-wheels SI, S2.
[0120] It will also be understood that the locking means in position 4 could, alternatively, be used as a notch to indicate to the user a correct position of the spacer 31 relative to the connecting parts 1, 2, before a rotation around the axis parallel to the transverse axes of the roller skis SI, S2. The locking means in position 4 could then be placed on the axis of rotation of the spacer 31, i.e. the axis parallel to the transverse axes of the roller skis SI, S2.
[0121] It will also be understood that the blocking means in position 4 are preferably configured to allow a user to manually unblock the blocking means in position 4.
[0122] With reference to Figures 2 and 6, in the first embodiment, the coupler 3 advantageously comprises a gripping part 33 connected to the spacer body 313 by a telescopic part 32. The telescopic part 32 is configured to selectively extend the gripping part 33 away from the spacer body 313, as shown in [Fig.6], and retract the gripping part 33 towards the spacer body 313, as shown in [Fig.2]. In addition, the gripping part 33 is configured to allow the user to grip in order to pull the pair of SI, S2 roller skis as a single unit and to allow the pair of SI, S2 roller skis to be transported in the manner of a trolley, when the SI, S2 roller skis are not fitted by the user and the spacer 31 is engaged with the first and second connecting parts 1, 2.
[0123] In Figures 2 and 6, the telescopic part 32 comprises two telescopic tubes extending each between a respective end of the gripping part 33 and the spacer body 313. It will be understood, however, that according to an alternative, the telescopic part 32 could comprise a single telescopic tube connecting a central part of the gripping part 33 to the spacer body 313.
[0124] Figure 2 shows the coupler 3 of the first embodiment with the telescopic part 32 in the retracted position, while Figure 6 shows the coupler 3 of the first embodiment with the telescopic part 32 in the extended position. Figure 5b shows the multifunction system M in a configuration allowing the user to tow the pair of wheel skis SI, S2 as a single unit by means of the gripping part 33.
[0125] According to a variant of the first embodiment, the gripping part 33 includes a remote control configured to control an unlocking of The first end of spacer 311, and the second end of spacer 312 respectively, are connected to the first connecting part 1 and the second connecting part 2 respectively. It will be understood that the remote control is chosen according to the means for locking in position 4 mentioned above. For example, if the means for locking in position 4 use spring-loaded elements, the remote control can be a cable system that applies force to the spring-loaded elements against the springs. Again, for example, if the means for locking in position 4 use magnets, more precisely electromagnets, the remote control can be a system for controlling the electromagnets.
[0126] In the first embodiment, the system M is configured for use with motorized SI, S2 roller skis, which allow the user to experience the sensations of alpine skiing without the need for snow. As can be seen more clearly in Figures 2 and 6, a housing 313b is formed in the spacer body 313 to receive a remote control for the motors of the SI, S2 roller skis. It will be understood that each SI, S2 roller ski can include one or more motors configured to drive the front wheel R and / or the rear wheel R. The motors can, for example, be housed in the wheel hubs of the SI, S2 roller skis.
[0127] Advantageously, the housing 313b includes at least one window 313c configured to allow a user to manipulate at least one control button of the remote control received in the housing 313b. In the first embodiment shown in Figures 2 and 6, the housing 313b includes three windows 313c. One window 313c arranged on the edge of the spacer body 313 allows a user to manipulate a control button, for example a trigger or control lever type button, of the remote control received in the housing 313b, in order to accelerate or brake. Two other windows 313c arranged on the face of the spacer body 313 are configured to expose a display device for the remote control and to allow manipulation of buttons for selecting operating modes of the SI, S2 roller skis and for activating and deactivating the SI, S2 roller skis.It will be understood, however, that the number of windows 313c may vary depending on the remote control intended to be received in the housing 313b. The spacer body 313 may be designed to provide access to the housing 313b, via a hatch or two shells hinged together forming the spacer body 313, in particular to allow access to the remote control for replacement or battery changes.
[0128] Furthermore, the spacer body 313 is configured so that, when the spacer 31 is not engaged with the connecting parts 1, 2, it can be held by hand by the user in order to control the movement of the ski rollers SI, S2 using the remote control, for example by manipulating the trigger-type control button or lever. control, to accelerate or brake the SI, S2 roller skis. Thus, the first embodiment allows the user to hold the multifunction system M in their hand, when they have put on the SI, S2 roller skis, to control their movement on the SI, S2 roller skis.
[0129] It will also be understood that the multifunction system M can, alternatively, have a simpler configuration without housing 313b or window 313c. This simplified configuration can, for example, be used when the control system for the SI, S2 roller skis is not intended to be received in the coupler 3 or when the SI, S2 roller skis are not motorized.
[0130] According to a variant of the first embodiment, the gripping part 33, connected to the spacer body 313 by the telescopic part 32, may include one or more control buttons configured to control braking of the SI, S2 roller skis and acceleration of the SI, S2 roller skis. This configuration makes it particularly easier to transport the SI, S2 roller skis when the user pulls the pair of SI, S2 roller skis in one piece, like a trolley.
[0131] In the first embodiment, and as can be seen in Figures 1 and 3 to 5b, when the wheels R of the ski-wheels SI, S2 are in contact with a horizontal surface, the grooves 11, 21 of the connecting parts 1, 2 extend in a direction inclined at 15 degrees to the vertical. It will be understood, however, that in alternative embodiments, the grooves 11, 21 of the connecting parts 1, 2 can extend in another direction, preferably inclined at 0 to 45 degrees to the vertical.
[0132] With reference to Figures 1, 5a and 5b, we will now briefly describe some uses of a multifunction system M according to the first embodiment.
[0133] In [Fig. 1], the coupler 3 is loosely engaged with the connecting parts 1, 2, without locking. This configuration creates a stable assembly allowing, for example, easier donning of the roller skis SI, S2. In an embodiment according to a variant of the first embodiment shown in [Fig. 1], the gripping part 33 could be positioned upwards and the telescopic part 32 could be extended, such that, once the roller skis SI, S2 are on, the user could pull on the gripping part 33 to release the coupler 3 from the connecting parts 1, 2 in order to retrieve the coupler 3 without bending down.
[0134] In [Fig. 5a], the coupler 3 is rotated 65 degrees relative to [Fig. 1] until the distal ends 311c, 312c are butted against the stops 1, 21e. The coupler 3 is thus locked with the connecting parts 1, 2. This position can, for example, be used to lift the pair of ski-wheels SI, S2 by grasping the gripping member 313a.
[0135] On [Fig.5b], the coupler 3 is rotated, by 65 degrees, relative to [Fig.l], until the distal ends 311c, 312c are brought into contact with the stops lie, 21e, and the telescopic part 32 is extended to allow the pair of ski-wheels SI, S2 to be pulled, in the manner of a trolley, by grasping the gripping part 33.
[0136] The invention also relates to a roller ski kit, comprising a pair of SI, S2 roller skis and a multifunction system M according to the invention. The multifunction system M may, for example, be a multifunction system M according to the first embodiment described above and illustrated in Figures 1 to 6. The SI, S2 roller skis may be motorized or non-motorized. In the case where the SI, S2 roller skis are motorized, the roller ski kit preferably includes a remote control for operating the SI, S2 roller skis.
[0137] It is understood that the particular embodiments which have just been described have been given by way of indication and not limitation, and that modifications may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
