Description

Title of the invention: Ambient Light Emitting Light Device Scope of the invention

[0001] The present invention consists of a lighting device which allows the projection of ambient light, in which the device is based on a bar which is equipped with a light strip and diffusers superimposed on the strip, arranged, at least, on each side of the bar, which allow, in a controlled and programmed manner, said projection of ambient light.

[0002] This invention falls within the different types of lighting equipment and systems, and more particularly, within ambient light projection devices.

[0003] State of the art

[0004] In this industrial sector, it is well known that ambient light is a type of light that provides basic visibility in any space and produces neither shadows nor glare; that is to say, it is a type of lighting that serves to visualize a space as a whole thanks to a base of diffused light. This is why, in general, this type of light is projected by luminaires equipped with light points or spotlights, such as ceiling lamps, floor lamps, or table lamps.

[0005] In this sense, ambient light is primarily used to create different atmospheres and moods; but, while in a certain way all types of light serve, in one way or another, to create a mood, in the case of ambient light, aspects such as the color of the light or the design of the luminaires are more important. In this sense, it is also known that known ambient lighting devices can include spotlights that can be programmed to emit different colors or intensities.

[0006] Taking these aspects into account, to illuminate large rooms, a plurality of different lighting devices are currently installed, with one or more light points that are already programmed. This means that current installations are designed for small rooms or that the projection of ambient light is directed only towards a specific area of a large room, since lighting an entire large room involves a high cost of installing a large number of lighting devices, each with its own mounting.

[0007] In this context, the applicant is not aware of an ambient lighting device that would allow, autonomously, the coverage of large rooms, and to allow controlled projection of different types of ambient light, such as accent lighting, wall-washing light, lenticular diffusion light, or even to program supplementary lighting.

[0008] To overcome the problems and limitations existing in the prior art, the present invention is based on a bar made of linear profiles that emit a greater quantity of ambient light than a supplementary device and that allows, for example, the projection of light onto an entire wall. Unlike, for example, a lamp, different bars can be joined linearly to cover large rooms. This configuration allows the bar to be equipped with a luminous strip and diffusers superimposed on the strip, all arranged on each of its sides to allow, in a controlled and programmed manner, the projection of said ambient light. The color or intensity of the light can be controlled, and the diffusers simultaneously filter the light to avoid producing shadows and glare.

[0009] The applicant is not aware of a similar or as advantageous ambient light-emitting lighting device as the one described and claimed below.

[0010] Explanation of the invention

[0011] The invention is a new type of ambient light-emitting lighting device which, in its various embodiments, solves the problems and limitations present in the prior art previously identified.

[0012] The device of the present invention consists of a luminous device comprising a longitudinal body and a longitudinal cap; wherein the cap is pressure-fitted to the upper part of the body; and wherein

[0013] The body comprises a side wall on each side of the body, in which a luminous strip is fixed to the outer face of each side wall and is arranged longitudinally along the entire length of the body wall

[0014] a first diffuser is attached to the outer face of each side wall and superimposed on the light strip along the entire length of the body wall;

[0015] a second diffuser is attached to the outer face of each side wall and superimposed on the first diffuser along the entire length of the body wall;

[0016] an open channel is disposed in the upper part of the body, in which said channel includes an electronic board and a power supply module which includes an electrical connection to a power supply source; in which the electronic board is of the printed circuit type and is connected to the light strips; and in which the power supply module is connected to the electronic board and the light strips; and in which the attachment of the cap to the body closes the channel and protects the aforementioned components.

[0017] For further details, in a preferred embodiment of the invention, each side wall of the body, particularly on its outer face, has a longitudinal groove formed by two T-shaped overhangs, one upper and one lower, in which the light strip is integral with said groove and is arranged longitudinally along the entire length of the body wall. These overhangs also allow for the insertion of the first diffuser, which is arranged longitudinally along the entire length of the body wall. The diffuser's cross-section is preferably curved and its faces are smooth. This first diffuser is superimposed on the strip within the diffuser, and it includes indentations at its ends into which the overhangs are inserted.

[0018] The outer face of the side wall on each side of the body, in a preferred embodiment of the invention, further comprises another set of projections, one above the upper overhang and one below the lower overhang, for inserting the second diffuser, arranged longitudinally along the entire length of the body wall and superimposed on the first diffuser, such that the second diffuser has slots at its ends into which the projections fit. In one possible embodiment of the invention, the second diffuser has a curved cross-section, the outer face of which is ribbed and the inner face is smooth. In another possible embodiment of the invention, the second diffuser has a C-shaped cross-section with straight edges, the outer face of which is ribbed and the inner face is smooth.One of the features of the invention is that the ribbed surface of the outer face of the second diffuser improves the diffuse projection of the emitted light, because the configuration of said ribs, whether in terms of dimensions, number and / or spacing, allows the orientation of the different beams of light emitted by the light strip to be adjusted and adapted.

[0019] The body includes a longitudinally open channel in its upper part, in which the closure of the cap with the body creates a longitudinal compartment, and in said channel are arranged a printed circuit board connected to the light strips and a power supply module that powers both the PCT board and the light strips. The power supply module is connected to a power source, which may be a direct connection to a transformer located in a housing on the cap, allowing the bar to be directly attached to the ceiling of the room, or by means of cables connecting to the power source integrated into ceiling suspensions, which allow the bar to be suspended from the ceiling of the room.

[0020] The invention has the particularity that the electronic board can be programmed so that each light strip emits light independently, namely, that The device can be programmed so that the light strip on one side emits light at a different intensity than the light strip on the other side, thus improving the illumination of a specific area of a wall. To achieve this, the printed circuit board can include a wireless connection module for an external electronic device, preferably via Bluetooth, allowing a user to customize the lighting.

[0021] In one possible embodiment of the invention, the lower part of the body is closed by a base wall, creating an internal channel that can be used as a conduit. In this sense, in one possible embodiment of the invention, the base wall may comprise a light strip and, simultaneously, two superimposed diffusers attached to said base wall in the same manner as above, the light strip being connected to the printed circuit board.

[0022] Furthermore, the invention has the particularity that each bar-shaped device can be linearly connected to other bars by means of connecting caps disposed at their ends. These connecting caps can have multiple shapes, such as closed caps that allow a straight longitudinal lighting system, either with the bars directly attached to the ceiling or suspended from the ceiling; or they can be caps equipped with a hinge that allows a non-straight longitudinal shape to be generated, either with the bars directly attached to the ceiling or suspended from the ceiling; or even the junction of a horizontal bar suspended from the ceiling with another vertical bar attached to the ceiling.This versatility, which overcomes the limitations of existing installations, is possible because each lighting unit has its own independent circuit board, giving it autonomy from any other bar in the system. Therefore, the connectors do not require electrical connections, and the different bars can be programmed to emit a specific ambient light for each room. This versatility improves the projection of ambient light in large rooms, with the added advantage, compared to existing systems, of eliminating the need for multiple installations of supplementary projection devices.

[0023] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the light strip is of the LED type, although it is not intended to be limiting, therefore, the strip may be of any other commercial type.

[0024] The diffuser material can be polycarbonate, polypropylene, acrylic or any other commercial diffuser-type material.

[0025] Also, the materials of the other elements of the device can be any resistant material such as, for example, plastic, polymer, metallic or a mixture of several of them.

[0026] It should be noted that, throughout the description and claims, the term "includes" and its variants are not intended to exclude other technical features or additional elements. Brief description of the figures

[0027] In order to complete the description and to aid in a better understanding of the features of the invention, a set of figures and drawings is presented, illustrating, without limitation, the following:
