Abstract
The invention relates to a shim (54) for a slotted coating device (30) of the type comprising an ink distribution chamber (36) extending along a longitudinal reference axis (100) between a first (40) and a second end portion (42) and comprising at least one ink inlet orifice (44), at least one ink outlet orifice (46), and one or more axial coating slot(s) (38), each forming an opening delimited by coating lips through which ink can be applied to a substrate (14). The shim (54) is characterized in that it comprises an outer shape complementary to an inner shape of the first (40) of the two end portions (40, 42) of the distribution chamber (36) for cooperating with said corresponding end portion (40) so as to fill a predetermined internal volume within the distribution chamber.
