Adhesive roll holder

Abstract

This article describes an adhesive roll holder that rotatably holds an adhesive roll. The adhesive roll holder comprises a gripping portion and a pair of roll-holding arms supported by the gripping portion. Each roll-holding arm is bent at its base end and its tip is tilted backward. A rotating disc is rotatably supported on each roll-holding arm. Reference Figure 1 shows the adhesive roll mounted, with the adhesive roll supported by the rotating disc. The adhesive roll holder is equipped with a locking piece that restricts the deformation of the pair of roll-holding arms in the direction of expansion. When the locking piece is in the locked position shown in the front view, the expansion deformation of the pair of roll-holding arms is restricted, and when the locking piece is in the unlocked position shown in Reference Figure 2, the expansion deformation of the pair of roll-holding arms is possible. To mount the adhesive roll, the locking piece is in the unlocked position, and the pair of roll-holding arms are expanded as shown by the dashed line in Reference Figure 2. After attaching the adhesive roll, the lock piece is displaced to the locked position to restrict the expansion deformation of the pair of roll-holding arms.
