Sealing material

Abstract

The present article is a seal member slidably attached to an axial member such as a shaft. As shown in reference perspective view 2, the present article is configured as a unit of a first seal member having a frame portion and a first seal portion provided at one end of the frame portion in the central axis direction, and a second seal member disposed within the frame portion at the other end of the frame portion in the central axis direction. The first seal member is a tubular member in which the frame portion and the first seal portion are integrally formed. The first seal member is made of, for example, resin or rubber. The second seal member has a second seal portion that contacts the axial member. The second seal portion includes, for example, a large number of fibers.
