Abstract

This chair features a cushion pad on the seat. As shown in the front view and the enlarged end view of part CC at BB, the seat is recessed downward from the inside of the left and right edges, with the cushion pad recessed so that it does not protrude above the top of the seat. This allows for a comfortable cushion to be provided without increasing the thickness of the seat, making it thin and allowing for many chairs to be stacked. This makes it particularly suitable for use in gymnasiums and arenas, where storage capacity is important and many chairs can be stacked.
