Therapeutic bed

A therapeutic bed (1) comprises a patient support platform (7) rotatably mounted on a base frame (4) for rotation about a longitudinal pivot axis between a supine support position and a prone support position. The base frame (4) is in turn mounted on a wheeled chassis (2) by pivot linkages (5) which allow tilting and raising and lowering of the base frame (4) on the chassis (2). Drive interlocks prevent rotation of the patient support platform (7) unless side rails (25) are locked on the patient support platform (7) and patient support flaps (40, 41) extending between the side rails (25) are locked together to secure a patient on the patient support platform (7). Guides (51) are provided at each end of the patient support platform (7) at the longitudinal rotational axis to guide patient care lines between a patient on the patient support platform (7) and associated devices externally of the patient support platform (7). This prevents entanglement of patient care lines as the patient support platform (7) rotates.

Portable child's bed

A portable child's bed is a bassinet hangably suspended from a pair of frame members. The bassinet includes a pair of opposing sidewalls that have a seam which allows for the sidewalls to inwardly pivot and then fold so as to allow for the compaction of the bassinet unit. The bassinet also includes a plurality of storage pockets capable of holding such infant-care related items such as diapers, powder, ointments, small blankets, towelettes, formula, feeding bottles and many other related items. The bassinet may also include a canopy for shielding the infant's head while resting or sleeping. The frame members include a telescoping strut which extendably expands or contracts within a strut housing. The telescoping strut and strut housing are in fluid communication and connected by a rotatable joint having an anterior and posterior sleeve to accommodate the pair of frames. The anterior sleeve is rotatable through 180°, thereby providing the pair of frames the ability to fully expand and position the telescoping struts in such a way so as to provide support to the bassinet. The anterior sleeve also allows for the frames to be compacted so as to reconfigure the portable child's bed into a lightweight and convenient travel bag.

Baby changing station

A baby changing station includes a platform coupled by a hinge to a wall structure. The platform is movable between a closed position and an open position. The interlocking configuration of the hinge and the combination of the geometries of the platform, the wall structure and a wall portion result in a baby changing station which is sturdy and is not susceptible to contamination, given the blow-molded parts. The platform is hollow and includes a trough for receiving a baby when in the open position. The wall structure is smaller than the platform in order to be nested within the platform when in the closed position. The blow-molded hinge configuration eliminates the use of a steel pin or rod generally used in the art to strengthen the hinge. The baby changing station of the present invention provides a secure interface which may be easily cleaned and maintained and is less subject to structural damage. The hinge is further provided with at least one stop, and preferably five, which prevent the platform from rotating beyond the open position.
