Packaging containers

Abstract

This article is a packaging container formed by molding a sheet-like blank shown in the reference development diagram using a press. The blank shown in the reference development diagram is folded in mountain folds as indicated by the dashed lines and in valley folds as indicated by the two-dot chain lines, and the blank is heated while being pressed during molding, causing the synthetic resin coating layer on the surface of the blank to melt and the blank to be crimped and maintain its shape as a packaging container. Furthermore, the outer edge of the blank is rolled, forming a rolled portion with a substantially circular cross section at the edge of the container, thereby improving the overall strength and stably maintaining the shape of the container. This article has an octagonal bottom and a step on the side with two horizontal ridges, making it resistant to twisting and suitable for plastic wrap packaging or shrink film packaging.
