Abstract

This product is a metal shear wall unit that is installed between the upper and lower beams of a building, such as a house, using bolts and nuts. As shown in the "Reference Diagram Showing the State of Use" and "Reference Diagram of the B-B Cross Section," horizontally extending stud supports are provided between each pair of columns, midway along the column's extension direction. Braces are also provided on both the top and bottom of the stud supports. Furthermore, horizontally extending deformation prevention members are provided between the braces and the columns midway along the extension direction of each brace to prevent bending deformation of the columns. The stud supports allow the studs between the pair of columns to be fixed to the stud supports, thereby shortening the distance between the supports of the studs. This reduces the strength required of the studs, making it possible to reduce, for example, the cross-sectional area of ​​the studs.
