Abstract

With the rotary valve intake system of a two-stroke engine, the intake timing is determined by the size and position of the fan-shaped notch and intake port of the rotary valve, which is attached to the crankshaft or to a shaft that rotates in perfect sync with the crankshaft via gears, a timing belt, etc. Therefore, it cannot be said that the engine is operating in an optimal intake state across the entire rotation range. This device is a device that can vary the intake timing to solve this problem. For reference, we have provided an image of the device installed in an engine.
