Collet for pipe fittings

Abstract

This item is a collet for a pipe fitting that locks a tube inserted into a pipe fitting that connects a tube carrying fluid to equipment. As shown in Reference Figure 1, which shows the state of use, the pipe fitting has a configuration in which the collet, collet case, front ring, and tube seal, which are this item, are housed inside the body, and a cap is attached to the opening of the body. As shown in Reference Figure 2, which shows the state of use, when a tube is inserted into the body, the tip surface of the tube abuts the bottom surface of this item. As shown in Reference Figure 3, which shows the state of use, when the tube is inserted further into the body, the tube pushes this item deeper into the body, and the locking claws of this item contract in diameter as they abut against the step of the collet case. The pipe fitting locks the tube with the contracted locking claws.
