Collet case for pipe fittings

Abstract

This item is a collet case for a pipe fitting that houses a collet that locks a tube inserted into a pipe fitting that connects a tube carrying fluid to equipment. As shown in Reference Figure 1, which shows the state of use, the pipe fitting has a configuration in which a collet, the collet case (this item), a front ring, and a tube seal are housed inside the body, and a cap is attached to the opening of the body. As shown in Reference Figure 2, which shows the state of use, when a tube is inserted into the body, the tip surface of the tube abuts the bottom surface of the collet. As shown in Reference Figure 3, which shows the state of use, when the tube is inserted further into the body, the collet is pushed by the tube and moves deeper into the body, and the collet's locking claws abut against the step of the item, reducing their diameter. The pipe fitting locks the tube with the reduced diameter locking claws.
