Abstract
The article of the present design (hereinafter referred to as the "Article") is a table leg that serves as the leg of a table. As shown in the exploded perspective view, it is composed of, from the bottom, a table leg body, two tabletop hole reinforcement metal fittings, a tabletop reinforcement plate, and two hex nuts. For example, two of the Articles can be prepared and attached to any tabletop to form a table (see, for example, Reference Diagrams (1) to (3) showing examples of use). In particular, the Article allows the table legs to be freely attached to any tabletop, regardless of the tabletop's size or shape. Furthermore, since the Article is secured by clamping with a hex nut, it can flexibly accommodate different thicknesses of tabletop. For example, as shown in Reference Diagram (1) showing an example of use, holes can be drilled in the tabletop and the Article can be attached to it. Alternatively, as shown in Reference Diagram (2) showing an example of use, the Article can be attached to the tabletop by sandwiching the tabletop between the table leg body and the tabletop reinforcement plate, without drilling holes in the tabletop. Furthermore, for example, as shown in Reference Figure (3) showing an example of a usage state, the present article may be attached to the tabletop by drilling a hole in the tabletop and not using a tabletop reinforcing plate, or by drilling a hole in the tabletop and positioning a tabletop reinforcing plate on the underside of the tabletop and attaching the present article to the tabletop. Furthermore, to prevent warping of a tabletop made of wood, for example, as shown in Reference Figure (4) showing an example of a usage state, the tabletop reinforcing plate may be attached to the underside of the tabletop with screws through screw holes provided in the tabletop reinforcing plate. Whether or not to use screws to secure the tabletop with screws through the screw holes provided in the tabletop reinforcing plate is optional.
