Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a packaging material suction method in a packaging machine that is suitable for use when suctioning a packaging material in the packaging machine. [Background technology]
[0002] Conventionally, in packaging machines, various packaging processes are performed by suctioning packaging material, such as an opening process, a bag feeding process, a product conveying process, a product removal process, etc. For example, in the opening process, a suction unit (a pair of suction units) suctions the front and back sides of the packaging material (packaging bag), respectively, to open the bag mouth, etc. (for example, JP 2013-91498 A or JP 2015-182770 A).
[0003] However, for example, if the positional relationship between the packaging material (packaging bag) and the suction portion (a pair of suction portions) is poor (for example, if there is a punch hole or the like present in the suction portion of the packaging bag), if the packaging material (packaging bag) is uneven (for example, if the film is wrinkled or the zipper of a zipper bag is present in the suction portion of the packaging bag), or if the packaging material (packaging bag) is soft (for example, if the packaging bag is made of a thin film, etc.), even if the suction portions (a pair of suction portions) reach the suction portions of the packaging material from both the front and back sides, the adhesion with the packaging material is low and the vacuum pressure does not increase, resulting in suction failure and making it impossible to open the packaging, and other such insufficient adhesion between the packaging material and the suction portion. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0018] In the present invention, in a packaging machine (packaging machine) P having a suction mechanism 24 with suction sections (suction sections for bag mouth opening) 22, 23 for adsorbing the packaging material H, and a vibration mechanism 25 for vibrating the suction sections (suction sections for bag mouth opening) 22, 23, the suction sections (suction sections for bag mouth opening) 22, 23 are vibrated by the vibration mechanism 25 when the packaging material H is adsorbed, thereby realizing a packaging material adsorption method in a packaging machine that improves the adhesion between the packaging material H and the suction sections (suction sections for bag mouth opening) 22, 23 and suppresses the occurrence of suction errors. EXAMPLES
[0019] A packaging material suction method in a packaging machine according to the present invention will be described with reference to an embodiment shown in Figs. The packaging material suction method in packaging machine (packaging machine) P of this embodiment is a packaging material suction method in packaging machine P having a suction mechanism 24 with suction sections (suction sections for bag mouth opening) 22, 23 for suctioning packaging material (packaging bag) H, and a vibration mechanism 25 for vibrating the suction sections (suction sections for bag mouth opening) 22, 23, and is characterized in that the suction sections (suction sections for bag mouth opening) 22, 23 are vibrated by the vibration mechanism 25 when suctioning the packaging material H. This will be described in detail below.
[0020] In this application, the term "packaging machine" refers to a concept that broadly includes machines used to transport packaged items and packaging materials in packaging machines (machines that package packaged items), box-making machines (machines that assemble cardboard boxes and insert packaged items into the cardboard boxes and seal them: case formers), and material handling (storage, packaging, and shipping processes: packaging lines), including, for example, palletizers, product transport machines, and packaged item transport machines. In addition, in this application, the term "packaging material" refers to a concept that broadly includes not only those that package packaged items, but also products packaged with packaged items, and while the packaging material H in this embodiment is a packaging bag, it is not limited to this and includes paper or resin containers, cardboard boxes, bottles, and products packaged with them.
[0021] Furthermore, the suction portion is a concept that broadly encompasses anything that adsorbs packaging material, and while in this embodiment the suction portions 22, 23 for opening the bag mouth are constituted by suction cups, they are not limited to suction cups and broadly encompass anything that can adsorb depending on the type of packaging material.
[0022] The packaging machine (packaging machine) P has a pair of suction parts 22, 23 for bag mouth opening arranged facing front and back sides a, b near the bag mouth of a packaging material (packaging bag) H in which a packaged item is filled, and a suction mechanism 24 for suctioning the front and back sides a, b near the bag mouth of the packaging material (packaging bag) H by the pair of suction parts 22, 23 for bag mouth opening, respectively, and is equipped with a bag opening device 20 configured so that the pair of suction parts 22, 23 for bag mouth opening can be vibrated by a vibration mechanism 25 when suctioning the packaging material (packaging bag) H. Each component of the packaging machine (packaging machine) P will be described in detail below.
[0023] As shown in FIG. 1, the packaging machine (packaging machine) P is a packaging machine that intermittently rotates and stops a moving body (disk-shaped rotating body) 10 equipped with a grip pair g at multiple stations, fills packaging material (packaging bag) H supported in a vertical position by the grip pair g with the packaged items, and seals the bag opening. The packaging machine (packaging machine) P is provided with a bag opening device 20 at a bag opening station 4 which performs a bag opening process for opening the packaging material (packaging bag) H.
[0024] As shown in FIG. 2, the bag opening device 20 has a pair of suction portions (suction cups) 22, 23 for opening the bag mouth, which are respectively arranged facing the front and back sides a, b of a packaging material (packaging bag) H in which the packaged item is filled, and a position control motor 26 for moving the pair of suction portions 22, 23 for opening the bag mouth between a standby position spaced apart from the packaging material (packaging bag) H, an intermediate position which is a position for holding the opening of the packaging material (packaging bag) H, and a closest position for suctioning the front and back sides a, b of the packaging material (packaging bag) H, respectively.
[0025] As shown in FIG. 1, the packaging machine (packaging machine) P has a bag feeding process (bag feeding station 1) for feeding packaging material (packaging bag) H to the packaging machine (packaging machine) P, a printing process (printing station 2) for printing expiration dates and other information on the packaging material (packaging bag) H, a print inspection process (print inspection station 3) for inspecting the print, a bag opening process (bag opening station 4) for opening the mouth and the inside of the bottom of the packaging material (packaging bag), a filling process (filling station 5) for filling the packaging material (packaging bag) with the packaged item, and a pressing process (pressing station 6) for pressing the packaged item. This equipment performs a total of 10 processes: a pushing process (pushing station 6) in which the bag is pushed into the bag; a blowing process (blowing station 7) in which the packaged items near the bag opening are blown away; a top sealing and air removal process (top sealing station 8) in which the bag opening is sealed horizontally and the air inside the packaging material (packaging bag) is removed; a top seal cooling process (cooling station 9) in which the top seal is cooled; and a product discharge process (product discharge station 10) in which the packaging material (packaging bag) H with the packaged items is discharged outside the machine.
[0026] Incidentally, the packaging machine (packaging machine) P is a rotary type packaging machine, but the present invention can also be applied to known linear motion type packaging machines and track type packaging machines.
[0027] 1, a packaging machine (packaging machine) P has a stand (not shown) on a machine base that rotatably supports an intermittent rotating shaft 12 extending vertically, and a movable body (disk-shaped rotating body) 10 attached to the upper part of the intermittent rotating shaft 12 has ten grip pairs g for gripping or releasing packaging material (packaging bags) a that protrude radially at equal angular intervals from the intermittent rotating shaft 12. The packaging machine (packaging machine) P is configured such that, at a bag supply station 1, a bag supply device 13 picks up packaging material (packaging bags) H, and the packaging material (packaging bag) H is supported in a vertical position by the grip pairs g that move intermittently to the bag supply station 1.
[0028] The bag opening station 4 where the bag opening process is performed is provided with a bag opening device 20 as shown in Fig. 1, and this bag opening device 20 has a pair of suction parts 22, 23 for bag mouth opening that are arranged facing the front and back sides a, b of a packaging material (packaging bag) H in which a packaged item is filled as shown in Fig. 2. The pair of suction parts 22, 23 for bag mouth opening communicate with a suction mechanism 24, and suck the packaging material (packaging bag) H from the front and back sides a, b, respectively, and move the packaging material (packaging bag) H with the packaging material (packaging bag) H sucked to an intermediate position which is an open holding position to open the bag mouth.
[0029] The reciprocating mechanism for the bag mouth opening suction parts 22, 23, which freely moves the pair of bag mouth opening suction parts 22, 23 between a standby position, an intermediate position, and a closest position, has a position control motor 26 and arms 28, 29 connected to a rotation shaft 27 of the position control motor 26 and rotate as the rotation shaft 27 rotates, as shown in Figure 2, and a pair of bag mouth opening suction parts (suction cups) 22, 23 are attached to the lower ends of the arms 28, 29, respectively.
[0030] As the position control motor, a servo motor, a stepping motor, a brushless motor, etc. can be suitably used, but in this embodiment, a servo motor is used.
[0031] The suction mechanism 24 is for adsorbing the packaging material (packaging bag) H at the bag mouth opening suction portions 22, 23, and in this embodiment, the suction mechanism 24 has a first vacuum pump 30 which is a first vacuum source, as shown in FIG. 2, and suction of the bag mouth opening suction portions 22, 23 by this first vacuum pump 30 is performed by controlling the first vacuum pump 30 and a first vacuum solenoid valve 32 by a PLC (control panel) 31.
[0032] The vibration mechanism 25 is for vibrating the bag mouth opening suction portions 22, 23 when the packaging material (packaging bag) H is adsorbed. In this embodiment, the vibration mechanism 25 has a first vacuum source (first vacuum pump) 30 and a second vacuum source (second vacuum pump) 33 which are set to different vacuum pressures (vacuum levels), as shown in FIG. 2, and is configured to generate pulsation by repeatedly turning the second vacuum source 33 ON and OFF at high speed (preferably 10 to 100 Hz to generate good vibrations; in this embodiment, the solenoid valve is set to be opened and closed at 30 Hz) when the first vacuum source 30 is sucking, thereby vibrating the bag mouth opening suction portions 22, 23.
[0033] Specifically, the vibration mechanism 25 in this embodiment has a first vacuum source 30 which is a first vacuum pump, and a second vacuum source 33 which is a second vacuum pump, a first vacuum solenoid valve 32 which opens and closes the first vacuum pump 30, and a second vacuum solenoid valve 34 which opens and closes the second vacuum pump 33, and opens and closes the first vacuum solenoid valve 32 to perform suction with the first vacuum pump 30 (e.g., -40 kPa), and then performs suction with the second vacuum pump 33 (e.g., -60 kPa) while repeatedly opening and closing the second vacuum solenoid valve 34 at high speed, thereby generating pulsation in the connected pipes between the two and vibrating the bag mouth opening suction portions 22, 23. This allows the vacuum pressure to be adjusted when the packaging material (packaging bag) H is suctioned by the bag mouth opening suction parts 22, 23, removes air present in the gap between the bag mouth opening suction parts 22, 23 and the packaging material (packaging bag) H, improving adhesion and suppressing the occurrence of suction errors, and also acts to circulate remaining oxygen, etc. in the packaging material (packaging bag) H, improving the measurement accuracy of the gas concentration in the packaging material (packaging bag) H.
[0034] The first vacuum pump 30, the second vacuum pump 33, the first vacuum solenoid valve 32, the second vacuum solenoid valve 34, and the operation panel 24 for setting the vacuum pressures of the first vacuum pump 30 and the second vacuum pump 33 are configured to be controlled by the PLC 31. The vacuum source is not limited to the vacuum pump as in this embodiment, and may be any device capable of suction, such as a blower or an ejector.
[0035] As shown in FIG. 3, the bag opening device 20 has a pair of suction portions 22, 23 for bag mouth opening, which are respectively arranged facing the front and back sides a, b near the bag mouth of the packaging material (packaging bag) H into which the packaged item is filled, as well as a pair of suction portions 50, 51 for bottom opening, which are respectively arranged facing the front and back sides a, b near the bottom of the packaging material (packaging bag) H into which the packaged item is filled, and the pair of suction portions 50, 51 for bottom opening are configured to be vibrable when the packaging material (packaging bag) H is suctioned.
[0036] These pair of bottom opening suction parts 50, 51 are provided because, for example, in the case of a self-supporting bag (standing pack) with a gusset at the bottom, it is necessary to open not only the bag mouth but also the inside of the bottom. The suction mechanism of the pair of bottom opening suction parts 50, 51 is the suction mechanism 24 described above, and the vibration mechanism is the vibration mechanism 25 described above. These are configured to improve the adhesion between the front and back surfaces a, b near the bottom of the packaging material (packaging bag) H and the pair of bottom opening suction parts 50, 51, suppress the occurrence of suction errors, and more reliably open the inside of the bottom. Note that FIG. 2(a) shows a state in which the bag mouth and the inside of the bottom are closed, and the pair of bag mouth opening suction parts and the pair of bottom opening suction parts are in their closest positions, and FIG. 2(b) shows a state in which the bag mouth and the inside of the bottom are open, and the pair of bag mouth opening suction parts and the pair of bottom opening suction parts are in their intermediate positions.
[0037] Next, a packaging material suction method in a packaging machine according to another embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. The packaging material suction method in the packaging machine (packaging machine) of this embodiment differs fundamentally from the packaging material suction method in the packaging machine (packaging machine) P shown in Figures 1 to 3 in the configuration and action of the vibration mechanism, and the rest are similar. The same components as those in the packaging material suction method in the packaging machine (packaging machine) P shown in Figures 1 to 3 are given the same reference numerals and description thereof will be omitted.
[0038] In the bag opening device 40 to which the packaging material suction method in the packaging machine of this embodiment is applied, the only vacuum source for suctioning the packaging material (packaging bag) H at the bag mouth opening suction sections 22, 23 is the vacuum pump 41, and suction by the vacuum pump 41 is performed by controlling the vacuum pump 41 and the vacuum solenoid valve 43 by the PLC 31 (suction mechanism 42 of the bag opening device 40).
[0039] The vibration mechanism 44 is a vibrator 45 provided within the main body 47 of the bag opening device 40, and is configured so that as the vibrator 45 vibrates, the bag mouth opening suction parts 22, 23 vibrate during suction by the vacuum pump 41. Note that the vibrator 45 in this embodiment is an air-type rotary vibrator which is vibrated by a vibration solenoid valve 46 being controlled by the PLC 31, but any vibration mechanism that can vibrate the bag mouth opening suction parts 22, 23 may be used, and for example, one constituted by an air-type piston-type vibrator or an electric vibrator is included in the scope of the present invention.
[0040] Next, another embodiment of the packaging material suction method in the packaging machine of the present invention shown in FIG. 5 will be described. The difference between the packaging material suction method in the packaging machine (packaging machine) of this embodiment and the packaging material suction method in the packaging machine (packaging machine) P shown in Figures 1 to 3 is the configuration and action of the vibration mechanism, and the rest are similar. The same components as those in the packaging material suction method in the packaging machine (packaging machine) P shown in Figures 1 to 3 are given the same reference numerals and description thereof will be omitted.
[0041] In the bag opening device 60 to which the packaging material suction method in the packaging machine (packaging machine) of this embodiment is applied, the only vacuum source for sucking the bag mouth opening suction sections 22, 23 to adsorb the packaging material (packaging bag) H is a vacuum pump 61, and suction by the vacuum pump 61 is performed by controlling the vacuum pump 61 and a vacuum solenoid valve 62 by the PLC 31 (suction mechanism 63 of the bag opening device 60).
[0042] The vibration mechanism 64 also has a suction mechanism 63 and an atmosphere communication part 65 that communicates with the atmosphere (in this embodiment, a pipe 66 with one end open to the atmosphere, and an electromagnetic valve 67 for opening and closing the pipe 66).
[0043] The atmosphere communication part 65 is repeatedly opened and closed at high speed during suction by the vacuum source (vacuum pump 61), thereby generating pulsation to vibrate the pair of bag opening suction parts 22, 23.
[0044] Thus, in the packaging material adsorption method in the packaging machine of the present invention, in order to generate pulsation using two different pressures, the method is not limited to using two vacuum sources, first vacuum source 30 and second vacuum source 33, as in the bag opening device 20 described above, but also includes within the scope of the present invention a bag opening device 60 in this embodiment which has one vacuum source (vacuum pump 61) and an atmosphere communication section 65 and which realizes different pressures by vacuum pressure and atmospheric pressure.
[0045] Further, another embodiment of the packaging material suction method in the packaging machine (packaging machine) of the present invention will be described. 1 to 5 is an application of the present invention to the bag opening process in bag opening station 4, but the packaging material adsorption method in a packaging machine of the present invention broadly includes those applied to other packaging processes in the packaging machine or the upstream or downstream side of the packaging machine. That is, the packaging material adsorption method in a packaging machine of the present invention broadly includes a packaging material adsorption method having a suction mechanism 71 equipped with an adsorption section 70 for adsorbing packaging material H and a vibration mechanism 72 for vibrating the adsorption section 70, as shown in Fig. 6, in the packaging machine, upstream or downstream of the packaging machine, in which the adsorption section 70 is vibrated by the vibration mechanism 72 when adsorbing packaging material H.
[0046] The packaging material H broadly includes not only the packaging material for packaging the packaged product, but also the product packaged with the packaged product, and includes packaging bags, containers made of paper or resin, cardboard boxes, bottles, and the like, as well as the product packaged with them. The suction unit 70 broadly includes not only suction cups, but also those capable of suctioning the packaging material depending on the type of the packaging material, and the suction mechanism 71 includes, for example, the above-mentioned suction mechanism 24 (FIG. 2), suction mechanism 42 (FIG. 4), or suction mechanism 63 (FIG. 5), and the vibration mechanism 72 includes, for example, the above-mentioned vibration mechanism 25 (FIG. 2), vibration mechanism 44 (FIG. 4), or vibration mechanism 64 (FIG. 5), and the like. Below, an embodiment in which the packaging material suction method in the packaging machine of the present invention is applied to a process other than the bag opening process in the bag opening station will be described in sequence.
[0047] Another embodiment of the packaging material suction method in a packaging machine (packaging machine) of the present invention shown in FIG. 7 will be described. The packaging material suction method in a packaging machine (packaging machine) of the present invention in this embodiment is an application of the present invention to a bag feeding process in a bag feeding station (for example, bag feeding station 1 in packaging machine (packaging machine) P shown in Figure 1), and is a packaging material suction method in a packaging machine having a suction mechanism 71 equipped with an suction section (suction section for packaging material supply) 80 for suctioning packaging material (packaging bag) H, and a vibration mechanism 72 for vibrating the suction section (suction section for packaging material supply) 80, characterized in that the suction section (suction section for packaging material supply) 80 is vibrated by the vibration mechanism 72 when the packaging material (packaging bag) H is suctioned.
[0048] The suction section 80 for supplying packaging material is composed of a suction cup and is intended to supply the packaging material (packaging bag) H in which the packaged item will be filled into the packaging machine (packaging machine), the suction mechanism 71 is intended to adsorb the packaging material (packaging bag) H using the suction section 80 for supplying packaging material, and the vibration mechanism 72 is intended to vibrate the suction section 80 for supplying packaging material when adsorbing the packaging material (packaging bag) H.
[0049] Specifically, in the bag supply process at the bag supply station, after a packaging material (packaging bag) H on a packaging material supply section such as a packaging material transport section (transport conveyor) 81 is adsorbed by a packaging material supply suction section 80 provided at the tip of a rotating arm 82, the rotating arm 82 rotates to transfer the packaging material (packaging bag) H to a packaging material capture section 83. Thereafter, the packaging material capture section 83 moves toward the grip pair g to supply the packaging material (packaging bag) H.
[0050] The packaging material suction method in the packaging machine (packaging machine) of this embodiment improves the adhesion between the surface of the packaging material (packaging bag) H and the packaging material supply suction section 80 by vibrating the packaging material supply suction section 80 with the vibration mechanism 72 when the packaging material (packaging bag) H is adsorbed by the packaging material supply suction section 80, thereby suppressing the occurrence of suction errors and enabling the packaging material (packaging bag) H to be more reliably supplied into the packaging machine.
[0051] Next, another embodiment of the packaging material suction method in the packaging machine (packaging machine) of the present invention shown in FIG. 8 will be described. The packaging material adsorption method in a packaging machine (packaging machine) in this embodiment is an application of the present invention to a product supply and discharge process in a product discharge station (for example, product discharge station 10 in packaging machine (packaging machine) P shown in Figure 1), and is a packaging material adsorption method in a packaging machine (packaging machine) having a suction mechanism 71 equipped with an suction section (suction section for removing packaging material) 90 for adsorbing packaging material (product: packaging bag filled with packaged item) H, and a vibration mechanism 72 for vibrating the suction section (suction section for removing packaging material) 90, characterized in that the suction section (suction section for removing packaging material, suction section for supplying packaging material) 90 is vibrated by the vibration mechanism 72 when adsorbing the packaging material (product: packaging bag filled with packaged item) H.
[0052] The suction section 90 for removing the packaging material is composed of a suction cup and is used to remove the packaging material (packaging bag) H filled with the packaged product outside the packaging machine. The suction mechanism 71 is used to adsorb the packaging material (product: packaging bag filled with the packaged product) H using the suction section 90 for removing the packaging material. The vibration mechanism 72 is used to vibrate the suction section 90 for removing the packaging material when adsorbing the packaging material (product: packaging bag filled with the packaged product) H.
[0053] Specifically, in the product discharge process at the product discharge station, the packaging material (product: packaging bag filled with packaged goods) H held by the grip pair g is adsorbed by a packaging material removal suction section 90 provided at the tip of the rotating arm 82, and then the rotating arm 82 rotates to discharge defective products outside the machine via a defective product chute 91. On the other hand, the rotating arm 82 rotates to place non-defective products on the transport conveyor 93 via the non-defective product chute 92 and transport them.
[0054] The packaging material suction method in the packaging machine (packaging machine) of this embodiment improves the adhesion between the surface of the packaging material (product: packaging bag filled with the packaged product) H and the suction part for packaging material removal 90 by vibrating the suction part for packaging material removal 90 with the vibration mechanism 72 when the packaging material (product: packaging bag filled with the packaged product) H is suctioned by the suction part for packaging material removal 90, thereby suppressing the occurrence of suction errors and enabling the packaging material (product: packaging bag filled with the packaged product) H to be more reliably discharged outside the packaging machine.
[0055] Next, another embodiment of the packaging material suction method in the packaging machine of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. The packaging material adsorption method in the packaging machine of this embodiment is a method in which the present invention is applied broadly in material handling (storage process, packaging process and shipping process: packaging line), specifically, on the upstream side of the packaging machine (for example, storage process of the packaged item or packaging material), within the packaging machine (packaging process) or downstream side of the packaging machine (shipping process), and is a packaging material adsorption method in a packaging machine having a suction mechanism 71 with an adsorption section (adsorption section for transporting packaging material) 100 for adsorbing the packaged item or packaging material H, and a vibration mechanism 72 for vibrating the adsorption section (adsorption section for transporting packaging material) 100, characterized in that the adsorption section (adsorption section for transporting packaging material) 100 is vibrated by the vibration mechanism 72 when adsorbing the packaging material H.
[0056] The suction section 100 for transporting packaging material is composed of a suction cup and is used to transport packaging material H, the suction mechanism 71 is used to adsorb the packaging material H, etc. using the suction section 100 for transporting packaging material, and the vibration mechanism 72 is used to vibrate the suction section 100 for transporting packaging material when adsorbing the packaging material H, etc.
[0057] Specifically, packaging material H placed on a first transport conveyor 101 upstream of, within, or downstream of the packaging machine is adsorbed by a packaging material transport suction section 100 provided at the lower end of a packaging material transport body 102, and then the packaging material transport body 102 moves laterally to place the packaging material H on a second transport conveyor 103. Note that although the packaging material H in this embodiment is a packaging bag or a packaging bag that encases a packaged item, it may also be other packaging material such as cardboard or a packaged item (product) encased in such a packaging material.
[0058] The packaging material suction method in the packaging machine of this embodiment improves the adhesion between the surface of the packaging material H, etc. and the packaging material conveying suction section 100 by vibrating the packaging material conveying suction section 100 using the vibration mechanism 72 when the packaging material H, etc. is adsorbed by the packaging material conveying suction section 100, thereby suppressing the occurrence of suction errors and enabling the packaging material H, etc. to be transported more reliably.
[0059] As described above, by applying the packaging material suction method in a packaging machine of the present invention to the upstream side of the packaging machine, the packaging process within the packaging machine, or the downstream side of the packaging machine, it is possible to improve the adhesion between the packaging material and the suction unit and prevent the occurrence of suction errors. Note that, although the packaging material suction method in a packaging machine of the present invention has been described using packaging processes such as the opening process, bag feeding process, product conveying process, and product removal process as examples, the present invention is not limited to application to these processes, and broadly includes cases in which a packaging machine using a suction unit is applied to other processes.
