Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a hydroelectric power generating device that can be suitably used in the event of a disaster. [Background technology]

[0002] Hydroelectric power generation, which utilizes flowing water in rivers, agricultural irrigation channels, and water supply and sewerage systems, is known as a renewable energy source. For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a hydroelectric power generation device including a spiral water turbine with spiral blades on its outer periphery and installed in a waterway, and a generator connected to the spiral water turbine. Patent document 2 also discloses a hydroelectric power generation device in which a raising channel is provided between the bottom of the intake of the induction duct and the river bottom above the step, thereby raising the water level upstream of the river step and increasing the potential energy of the river water. Furthermore, Patent Document 3 discloses a hydraulic power conversion device that is compact and lightweight and has a weir upstream of a water conveying device, thereby enabling efficient conversion of water energy into rotational force. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

[0003] [Patent Document 1] JP 2013-174196 A [Patent Document 2] JP 2015-169204 A [Patent Document 3] JP 2011-214452 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0004] However, conventional hydroelectric power generation has many problems. For example, the hydroelectric power generation device described in Patent Document 1 is capable of generating power with a low head, but has the problem that it cannot generate power efficiently if there is no head. Furthermore, although the hydraulic power generation device described in Patent Document 2 includes a raised channel, it is premised on the existence of a step, and therefore has the same problem as Patent Document 1. In contrast, the hydraulic power conversion device described in Patent Document 3 is equipped with a weir and can efficiently convert the energy of water into rotational force, so the above-mentioned problems are unlikely to occur. However, because the hydroelectric conversion device described in Patent Document 3 does not have a water conduit, even if the hydroelectric conversion device can be transported to a river, if the river is a small stream with a low water volume, it will not rotate sufficiently and efficient power generation will not be possible.

[0005] The present invention has been proposed to solve the problems associated with the conventional technologies described above, and has an object to provide a hydroelectric power generation device that is lightweight and compact, has an expandable water channel, and has a water channel with excellent power generation efficiency. [Means for solving the problem]

[0006] In order to achieve the above-mentioned objective, the hydroelectric power generation device of the present invention is a hydroelectric power generation device that can be installed on a river, and comprises a dam section that transfers water flow from the upstream side to the downstream side using a predetermined drop, and a power generation section that is located downstream of the dam section and generates electricity by rotating a water turbine using the water flow from the dam section, the dam section and the power generation section are configured to be separable, and the dam section has an expandable waterway provided upstream of the dam section. Effect of the Invention

[0007] According to the hydroelectric power generation device of the present invention, transportation can be carried out quickly in the event of a disaster, and power can be generated efficiently even in rivers with low water volume. [Brief description of the drawings]

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0009] A hydroelectric generating device 1 of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. It is assumed that the hydroelectric power generation device 1 is installed in a river. In the present invention, the "rivers" include agricultural waterways and water supply and sewerage systems. Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram of a hydroelectric power generation device 1. Fig. 1(a) is a plan view of the hydroelectric power generation device 1, and Fig. 1(b) is a front view of the hydroelectric power generation device 1. As shown in FIG. 1, a hydroelectric power generating device 1 is roughly divided into a dam section 10 and a power generating section 20, each of which is configured to be separable and connectable. Specifically, the dam section 10 and the power generating section 20 are each configured as an independent housing, and the housings can be joined together by a joining means. Although not shown in the figure, the joining means can be, for example, a member that has a concave portion and a convex portion provided at corresponding locations and that can engage the concave portion and the convex portion and lock them in the engaged state. For example, the length of the dam section 10 is about 2 m (when the expansion and contraction water channel 150 is contracted), and the length of the power generation section 20 is about 1 m. Therefore, the hydroelectric power generating apparatus 1 can be easily transported separately into the dam section 10 and the power generating section 20, and can be easily assembled and used at the destination such as a river. For example, the dam unit 10 can be loaded onto a light truck or the like and transported near a river, and then one person can be made to carry the dam unit 10 and another person can be made to carry the power generation unit 20, and so on, to the river. In this way, in the hydroelectric power generating device 1 of the present invention, the dam section 10 and the power generating section 20 can be configured as an integrated unit, but can also be configured to be separable depending on the mode of use.

[0010] (Dam section) The dam section 10 is disposed upstream of the power generation section 20, and functions as a waterway that supplies a water flow toward the power generation section 20 downstream. The dam section 10 is mainly composed of a dam body 110 and an expansion and contraction waterway 150 (FIG. 1).

[0011] (Dam body) Fig. 2 is a schematic diagram of the dam body 110. Fig. 2(a) is a front view, Fig. 2(b) is an upstream side view, Fig. 2(c) is a downstream side view, and Fig. 2(d) is a plan view. 2, the dam body 110 is composed of an inclined waterway frame 122 and an inclined waterway 121. The inclined waterway 121 is provided inside the inclined waterway frame 122. The inclined waterway frame 122 is a member that is U-shaped in cross section (with the ceiling side open) and is made of a lightweight material such as FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastics). The inclined waterway frame 122 has two parallel straight wall portions 122a, and further has two inclined wall portions 122b therein that become narrower as they proceed downstream. The inclined water passage 121 is provided inside the two inclined wall portions 122b. Specifically, a plurality of pins 123 are provided on the inside of the upper portion of each inclined wall portion 122b, and the inclined waterway 121 is formed by hanging a tarpaulin, which will be described later, from each pin 123.

[0012] Fig. 3 is an external view of the inclined waterway 121 provided in the dam body 110. Fig. 3(a) is a front view, Fig. 3(b) is an upstream side view, Fig. 3(c) is a downstream side view, and Fig. 3(d) is a plan view. As shown in FIG. 3, the inclined waterway 121 is shaped so that the bottom becomes higher and the width of the waterway becomes narrower as it advances downstream. The inclined waterway 121 having such a shape can be formed using a material called tarpaulin. Tarpaulin is a sheet material made of lightweight, flexible vinyl that is highly waterproof. When the tarpaulin is placed inside the inclined waterway frame 122 , eyelets 124 are provided at locations corresponding to the pins 123 . This allows the tarpaulin to be suspended by passing each pin 123 through each eyelet hole 124. In other words, by hanging the tarpaulin shown in FIG. 3, an inclined waterway 121 can be constructed in which the bottom becomes higher and the width of the waterway narrows as it proceeds downstream. According to such an inclined waterway 121, the water flowing in from the upstream expansion waterway 150 can be passed to the power generation section 20 by increasing its height (by providing a head). The inclined waterway 121 can be installed in various modes and configurations other than those described above. For example, the tarpaulin need not be bag-shaped, but may be shaped with an open ceiling side. Furthermore, instead of hanging the tarpaulin from the pins 123, it is also possible to attach the tarpaulin to the inclined waterway frame 122 in some other manner, such as by gluing it thereto. Also, an inclined plate material may be provided at the bottom of the inclined waterway frame 122 to form the inclined waterway 121, and the tarpaulin of this embodiment may be placed on top of the plate material. Also, sheet materials other than tarpaulin may be used.

[0013] (Telescopic waterway) Fig. 4 is a schematic perspective view of the expansion and contraction waterway 150. Fig. 4(a) is a diagram showing a contracted state, and Fig. 4(b) is a diagram showing an expanded state. As shown in FIG. 4, the expansion waterway 150 is configured to be expandable and contractible by forming the housing into a bellows shape. For example, the expandable waterway 150 can be contracted to a minimum length of about 1 m by compressing it, and can be extended to a maximum length of about 10 m by stretching it. Therefore, by contracting the expansion and contraction water channel 150, the hydroelectric power generation device 1 can be easily transported and the storage space can be reduced. Moreover, the expandable waterway 150 can be expanded to lengthen the waterway. As a result, even when the hydroelectric power generation device 1 is used on a river with a low water volume, a larger amount of water can be secured than when the waterway is short, and the water can be directed only to the power generation unit 20 via the dam main body 110. In other words, by lengthening the water passage, the power generation efficiency in the power generation section 20 can be improved. In addition, since the length of the expandable waterway 150 is variable, the amount of water supplied to the power generation unit 20 can be adjusted according to the length. In other words, the expandable waterway 150 can be contracted for use in rivers with high water levels or high water volumes, and expanded for use in rivers with low water levels or low water volumes. The expandable waterway 150 is not limited to a bellows, and any expansion method and shape may be used as long as it is an expandable waterway. In addition, the expansion size can be set arbitrarily. For example, the expansion waterway 150 can be applied to have a contraction size of 0.5 m and an expansion size of 5 m. Also, the expansion / contraction waterway 150 and the dam body 110 can be configured to be separable and connectable. This makes it possible to further improve portability and convenience.

[0014] Fig. 5 is an explanatory diagram of the water intake plate 180. Fig. 5 is a plan view of the upstream side of the expansion water channel 150 as viewed from above. The water intake plate 180 is provided at the water intake port. That is, it is provided on the most upstream side of the hydroelectric power generation device 1. Specifically, the water intake plate 180 is connected to the upstream ends of both side walls of the expansion water channel 150 by connecting means such as hinges (not shown). Therefore, the water intake plate 180 can be opened and closed in the horizontal direction. The water intake plate 180 can be folded inwardly to make the entire device compact, which is useful for transportation and use. When the hydroelectric power generation device 1 is in use, the water intake plate 180 is opened. This allows water flowing in the river to be efficiently taken in by the expandable water channel 150. Although not shown in the drawings, the water intake plate 180 can be fixed at any open angle. For example, the basic opening angle is α=45°±10°. By setting the water intake plate 180 to this opening angle, it is possible to efficiently take in water from the surrounding area. For example, it is possible to reduce the opening angle α of the water intake plate 180 when used in a river with a high water level or high water volume, and to increase the opening angle α of the water intake plate 180 when used in a river with a low water level or low water volume.

[0015] Fig. 6 is a diagram showing the dustproof part 190. Fig. 6(a) shows a lattice-shaped (mesh-shaped) dustproof part 190, and Fig. 6(b) shows a horizontal screen-shaped dustproof part 190. The dustproof part 190 is attached to the water intake. This makes it possible to prevent, for example, dirt or dust from entering the device even if it is carried along with the water flow. In other words, it is possible to prevent dirt and dust from entering the device and interfering with the rotation of the spiral water wheel 210 or blocking the drain outlet and impeding the water flow. The dustproof portion 190 can also be configured to be detachable. This allows the dirt and dust adhering to the dustproof portion 190 to be removed efficiently.

[0016] (Power Generation Division) As shown in FIG. 1, the power generating section 20 includes a rectangular frame 201, and a cylindrical frame 202 that houses a spiral water turbine 210 and a generator 260 inside the rectangular frame 201. In the cylindrical frame 202, the spiral water turbine 210 is provided on the upstream side, and the generator 260 is provided on the downstream side, with the inlet being obliquely installed to match the height of the outflow outlet of the dam section 10. In other words, the helical water wheel 210 is rotated efficiently by the artificially created head.

[0017] Fig. 7 is a diagram showing a detailed configuration of the cylindrical frame 202 (the helical water turbine 210 and the generator 260) in the power generation section 20. Fig. 7(a) is a cross-sectional view taken along the line AA, Fig. 7(b) is an upstream side view, and Fig. 7(c) is a downstream side view. FIG. 7(a) is a diagram showing a state in which the cylindrical frame 202 is oriented horizontally. The cylindrical frame 202 can be made of a lightweight material such as a PVC pipe. The cylindrical frame 202 may be a square tube instead of a cylinder, and any method such as a known fixing means may be used for the fixing method. The spiral water turbine 210 is a known water turbine in which spiral blades (spiral blades 232) are provided on the curved surface (front surface) of a cylindrical water turbine casing 231. The spiral water wheel 210 is known to have the advantages of being suitable for low head, being less susceptible to fluctuations in water volume, and being less likely to become clogged with debris. The inside of the water turbine housing 231 is hollow, and a hollow shaft 230 (a shaft with a hollow interior) is further provided inside the water turbine housing 231 , and a bearing 240 is provided between the hollow shaft 230 and the water turbine housing 231 . The spiral water turbine 210 has a diameter of 200 to 400 mm, the hollow shaft 230 has a diameter of 50 to 150 mm, and a length of about 400 to 800 mm. The bearing 240 is, for example, a rolling bearing with an inner diameter of 45 to 55 mm. The hollow shaft 230 is fixed to the cylindrical frame 202 by a fixing nut 291 via a cross bar 281 . As a result, when water flows in from the upstream side, the spiral blades 232 receive the water flow (water pressure), causing the spiral water wheel 210 to rotate.

[0018] The generator 260 is a so-called outer rotor type power generating device. The generator 260 is provided integrally with the helical water turbine 210 on the downstream side of the helical water turbine 210 . As shown in FIG. 8, the generator 260 includes a disk-shaped exterior 260a and a hollow shaft (referred to as a second hollow shaft 262). By using aluminum for the exterior 260a, the generator 260 is constructed to be lightweight and sturdy. As shown in FIG. 7, the second hollow shaft 262 is supported by a bearing 240 . This causes the exterior 260 a to rotate around the second hollow shaft 262 .

[0019] The generator 260 is provided inside the generator housing 251 . The generator casing 251 is a cylindrical frame that extends the turbine casing 231 downstream. The generator housing 251 has a relatively large cross-sectional diameter so that the generator 260 can be housed therein. As shown in FIG. 8, the generator 260 includes a winding 261 and a magnet 270 inside an outer casing 260a. The winding 261 is not connected to the exterior 260a, and is fixed to a second hollow shaft 262. A plurality of the windings 261 (for example, 40 pieces) are arranged along the circumference. The magnets 270 are arranged inside the outer casing 260a on the circumferential surface. Here, the upstream side of the second hollow shaft 262 is connected to the downstream side of the hollow shaft 230 via a connecting shaft 255, and the downstream side is fixed to the cylindrical frame 202 via a fixing nut 292 and a cross bar 282. Moreover, the exterior 260a is connected to the generator housing 251 by a connecting member 251a. As a result, when water flows in from the upstream side, the spiral water wheel 210 rotates and the generator housing 251 rotates, and the exterior sheath 260a connected to the generator housing 251 also rotates. Furthermore, in response to the rotation of exterior 260a, magnets 270 arranged inside exterior 260a rotate, but windings 261 do not rotate. In other words, magnets 270 function as a rotor, and windings 261 function as a stator.

[0020] The magnets 270 include N-pole magnets 270N having a magnetic north pole and S-pole magnets 270S having a magnetic south pole, which are arranged alternately along the circumference. The winding 261 is provided at a position where it passes through a magnetic flux generated between the north pole magnet 270N and the south pole magnet 270S in response to the rotation of the exterior 260a. Therefore, when the water flow rotates the spiral water turbine 210, the exterior 260a rotates, and the winding 261 can pass magnetic flux in response to the rotation, thereby generating electricity in the winding 261 (function of the generator 260).

[0021] Water that has flowed into the cylindrical frame 202 from the upstream side flows inside the frame, and while applying water pressure to the spiral blades 232, it flows out from the water discharge holes 295 etc. and flows downstream. This makes it difficult for the water flow to stagnate, allowing the spiral water turbine 210 to rotate efficiently.

[0022] The generator 260 (windings 261) can output generated power to the outside via the conductor 30. Specifically, the conducting wire 30 passes through the second hollow shaft 262 , the connecting shaft 255 and the hollow shaft 230 , and is taken out from the upstream end of the cylindrical frame 202 to the outside. For example, the conductor 30 can be taken out through the inside of a duct provided in the cross bar 281, or through a hole provided in the fixing nut 291. Furthermore, the hollow shaft 230, the connecting shaft 255, and the second hollow shaft 262 are each hollow inside and therefore form sealed spaces, and further the connection parts and ends are sealed and waterproofed. This allows the electric power generated by the hydroelectric power generation device 1 to be safely supplied to the external power system 40.

[0023] FIG. 9 is an explanatory diagram showing a hydroelectric power generating device 1 installed in a river. As shown in FIG. 9, when the hydroelectric power generating device 1 is installed in a river, water flowing from the upstream side passes through the inside of the device (see the arrow). At this time, the water intake plate 180 and the expansion and contraction water channel 150 efficiently take in water, and a head is created by passing the water through the inclined water channel 121, and the helical water wheel 210 is rotated efficiently by the increased water pressure. In response to the rotation of the helical water turbine 210, the generator 260 generates electricity in the stator (windings 261) in response to the rotation of the rotor (magnets 270).

[0024] FIG. 10 is a power system diagram of the external power system 40. The external power system 40 receives the electric power output from the generator 260 via the conductor 30 . As shown in FIG. 10, the external power system 40 includes a DC converter 41, a charge controller 42, a battery 43, an inverter 44, AC power 45, and a load 46. The DC converter 41 has a rectification function and a DC / DC converter, and stabilizes the DC power of an unsteady wave input via the conductor 30 into a constant DC power and outputs it. The charge controller 42 outputs the DC power output from the DC converter 41 to the inverter 44 while causing the battery 43 to be output (charged). The inverter 44 converts the input DC power into AC power 45 and supplies it to a load 46 . This makes it possible to output power of several tens of watts to several kW (preferably about 500 W to 3 kW). In other words, it will at least be possible to charge smartphones and other devices, thereby contributing to disaster response by ensuring means of communication and other measures.

[0025] As described above, the hydroelectric power generation device 1 of the present invention comprises a dam section 10 that transfers the water flow from the upstream side to the downstream side using a predetermined drop, and a power generation section 20 that is arranged downstream of the dam section 10 and generates electricity by rotating a spiral water wheel 210 using the water flow from the dam section 10, the dam section 10 and the power generation section 20 being configured to be separable, and the dam section 10 has an expandable and contractible waterway 150 provided upstream of the dam section 10. In other words, by configuring the entire device so that it can be separated and combined, portability and convenience are improved. For example, by dividing it into parts, it can be easily transported to a river in the event of a disaster, and can be easily assembled and used once it arrives at the river. In addition, by providing the expandable waterway 150, it can be contracted during transportation and expanded for use when it arrives at the river.

[0026] In addition, the dam portion 10 is provided with an inclined waterway 121 so that the downstream side is higher than the upstream side. In other words, the artificially created head increases the water pressure (volume) on the spiral water turbine 210, enabling more efficient power generation. The inclined waterway 121 is constructed by hanging a tarpaulin. In other words, a drop can be easily created using lightweight, sturdy materials. The hydroelectric power generation device 1 of the present invention is also highly portable since it is made of tarpaulin and other lightweight and compact components (such as a frame).

[0027] The power generation unit 20 also includes a magnet 270 that rotates in response to the rotation of the spiral water turbine 210, and a hollow shaft 230 and winding 261 which are the axis of the spiral water turbine 210 and do not rotate in response to the rotation of the spiral water turbine 210. When the spiral water turbine 210 rotates in response to a water flow, electricity is generated in the winding 261 based on the rotation of the magnet 270, and the generated electricity can be output to the outside via a conductor 30 which passes through the inside of the hollow shaft 230. In other words, since the conducting wire 30 is taken out through the internal space of the hollow shaft 230 into which water is unlikely to flow, the generated power can be output to the outside without taking any special waterproofing measures. The generator 260 (magnets 270 and windings 261) is housed inside a generator housing 251 and an exterior 260a disposed downstream of the helical water turbine 210. In this way, by arranging the generator 260 downstream of the spiral water turbine 210, water flow to the spiral water turbine 210 can be supplied without being obstructed. In other words, if the generator 260 is placed upstream of the helical water turbine 210, the water flow to the helical water turbine 210 will be obstructed. The effect of obstruction can be reduced by making the generator 260 smaller, but doing so would require the diameter of the generator 260 to be reduced, which would weaken the generating capacity. In contrast, the hydroelectric power generation device 1 of the present invention is configured such that a generator 260 with a relatively large diameter is provided downstream of the spiral water turbine 210, thereby enabling sufficient electricity to be generated even in rivers with low water volumes without impeding the water flow to the spiral water turbine 210.

[0028] The above describes a preferred embodiment of the hydroelectric power generation device 1 of the present invention. However, the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and it goes without saying that various modifications can be made within the scope of the present invention. For example, the size of each component is not limited to the above and may be any size. Furthermore, some components (for example, the water intake plate 180 and the dust prevention section 190) are not essential components. The expandable waterway 150 and the inclined waterway 121 can be integrated. For example, the inclined waterway 121 can be made expandable. Specifically, the frame of the inclined waterway 121 can be made into a bellows-like and tapered member. This can reduce the number of parts (the number of components). The conducting wire 30 is led out from the upstream end of the hollow shaft 230, but may also be led out from the downstream end. Moreover, a water turbine other than the helical water turbine 210 (for example, an axial flow propeller type water turbine, etc.) can also be used. The bottom angle of the sloping flume 121 can also be variable. For example, it would be possible to install an app (program) on a smartphone that adjusts the bottom angle based on the operation of a wirelessly connected smartphone. Also, the length of the expansion waterway 150 can be adjusted using a smartphone (app). Furthermore, the hydroelectric power generation device 1 can be equipped with a computer and a movable mechanism, and the optimum bottom angle and expansion water channel can be displayed (output) and automatically adjusted by computer control. For example, a program (trained model) can be implemented that performs deep learning (supervised learning) of the correlation between the bottom angle of the inclined waterway 121, the length of the expandable waterway 150, and the water level, water volume, and water pressure of the river, and the rotation speed of the spiral waterwheel 210 (teacher data). When the hydroelectric power generation device 1 is installed in an unknown river, sensing data such as the water level, water volume, and water pressure of the river can be input into the trained model to display (output) the optimal bottom angle and expandable waterway, or to automatically adjust them.
