[0005] However, according to the intake control device of Patent Document 1, when molding a throttle body, in addition to a main mold that molds the intake passage and moves in the direction in which the intake passage extends, a slide mold that moves in a direction perpendicular to the direction in which the intake passage extends is required in order to mold the connection surface for the sensor unit parallel to the direction in which the intake passage extends.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0010] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. Fig. 1 shows a front view of an intake control device 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention. Fig. 2 shows a top view of the intake control device 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0011] As shown in FIG. 1, the intake control device 1 of the present invention includes a throttle body 4 having a cylindrical portion 3 in which an intake passage 2 is formed, a throttle valve 5 that opens and closes the intake passage 2, and a throttle shaft 6 that holds the throttle valve 5 and is rotatably supported by the throttle body 4.

[0012] A tube (not shown), such as an air duct leading to an air cleaner, is connected to the cylindrical body 3. The intake passage 2 extends in the X-axis direction in a right-handed Cartesian coordinate system shown in the figure. The throttle shaft 6 extends in the Y-axis direction.

[0013] The throttle body 4 is provided with a unit connection part 15 to which a sensor unit 14 is connected at one end (the end on the positive side of the Y axis) in the direction in which the throttle shaft 6 extends (Y axis direction). The sensor unit 14 has at least one of an opening sensor that detects the opening of the throttle valve 5, an intake pressure sensor that detects the pressure of the intake air in the intake passage 2, and an intake air temperature sensor that detects the temperature of the intake air in the intake passage 2.

[0014] Unit connection portion 15 has unit connection surface 15A that comes into contact with sensor unit 14 when sensor unit 14 is connected.

[0015] Fig. 4 shows the relationship between the throttle body 4 and a mold when molding the throttle body 4. Note that a line segment C2 shown in Fig. 4 is a line segment obtained by moving the central axis C1 of the intake passage 2 parallel to the Y-axis direction.

[0016] 4, the unit connection surface 15A is a flat surface, and is inclined at an inclination angle θ with respect to the X-axis direction (the central axis C1 of the intake passage 2) along which the intake passage 2 extends. In detail, the unit connection surface 15A is perpendicular to the XY plane, and is inclined so as to approach the central axis C1 of the intake passage 2 along the direction along which the intake passage 2 extends (the X-axis direction) toward the side where the tube (not shown) of the cylindrical portion 3 is connected.

[0017] The inclination angle θ is preferably equal to or greater than 1°, and more preferably from 1° to 1.5°. In this embodiment, the inclination angle θ is set to 1.5°.

[0018] Figure 3 shows a cross section taken along line III-III in Figure 2. As shown in Figure 3, the throttle body 4 includes a motor case 8 that houses the motor 7, and a gear chamber 10 that houses a gear mechanism 9 that transmits the rotation of the drive shaft of the motor 7 to the throttle shaft 6. That is, the motor 7 supplies power (driving force) for opening and closing the throttle valve 5 via the gear mechanism 9.

[0019] The gear chamber 10 is closed by a gear chamber cover 11. The gear chamber 10 is also formed in the throttle body 4 at the other end (the end on the negative side of the Y axis) in the direction in which the throttle shaft 6 extends (the direction of the Y axis).

[0020] Therefore, the throttle body 4 is provided with a gear chamber 10 that houses the motor 7 and the gear mechanism 9 on the opposite side of the intake passage 2 from the unit connection surface 15A side. In other words, the intake passage 2 is disposed between the unit connection part 15 and the gear chamber 10 so as to be sandwiched between the unit connection part 15 and the gear chamber 10.

[0021] Returning to FIGS. 1 and 2, the throttle body 4 includes a band fixing portion 12 to which a metal band (not shown) that tightens the outer periphery of a tube connected to the cylindrical portion 3 against the cylindrical portion 3 is fixed.

[0022] The band fixing part 12 is fixed to the surface of the motor case 8 so as to extend from the surface. More specifically, the band fixing part 12 is provided so as to protrude from the side wall of the motor case 8 along the X-axis direction, which is the direction in which the intake passage 2 (the central axis C1) extends.

[0023] The band fixing portion 12 is formed with an insertion hole 13 extending in the Y-axis direction through which a joining member for joining the ends of the band is passed.

[0024] As shown in Fig. 4, when molding the throttle body 4, the side to which the tube of the intake passage 2 is connected (the positive side of the X-axis) is molded by a first main die 16, and the opposite side is molded by a second main die 17. Then, the gear chamber 10 side (the negative side of the Y-axis) is molded by a slide die 18.

[0025] At that time, the first main die 16, which moves in the direction in which the intake passage 2 extends (X-axis direction), molds the cylindrical portion 3, the intake passage 2 therein, and the band fixing portion 12. The periphery of the cylindrical portion 3 is molded only by the first main die 16, which moves in the X-axis direction, and the second main die 17, which moves in the X-axis direction. Furthermore, the gear chamber 10, as well as the inside of the motor case 8 and the portion that supports the throttle shaft 6, are molded by the slide die 18, which moves in a direction parallel to the drive shaft of the motor 7 (Y-axis direction).

[0026] FIG. 5 is a diagram showing the relationship between the throttle bodies 4 and the slide die 18 when molding the four throttle bodies 4. As shown in FIG.

[0027] Arrow A in Fig. 5 indicates the direction in which each slide die 18 moves when the throttle body 4 is removed from the mold. As shown in Fig. 5, the direction in which each slide die 18 that molds the gear chamber 10 of the throttle body 4 moves can be arranged so as not to interfere with the direction in which the other slide dies 18 move.

[0028] Next, a description will be given of the operation and effect of the intake control device 1 configured as described above. As described above, the unit connection surface 15A, which is the surface of the throttle body 4 that comes into contact with the sensor unit 14, is inclined by an inclination angle θ with respect to the X-axis direction in which the intake passage 2 extends (the central axis C1 of the intake passage 2).

[0029] Therefore, the unit connection surface 15A can be formed using the first main mold 16. In other words, there is no need for a slide mold for forming the unit connection surface 15A. This allows the mold cost and processing cost to be reduced, thereby realizing a reduction in product price and an improvement in productivity.

[0030] The inclination angle θ of the unit connecting surface 15A with respect to the central axis C1 (X-axis direction) of the intake passage 2 is 1° or more. In other words, the draft angle of the first main mold 16 when molding the throttle body 4 is 1° or more. Therefore, the unit connecting surface 15A can be reliably molded by the first main mold 16.

[0031] In addition, in the throttle body 4, a unit connection surface 15A is formed on one side in the axial direction (Y-axis direction) of the throttle shaft 6, and a gear chamber 10 is formed on the other side in the axial direction of the throttle shaft 6. Therefore, the intake passage 2 is disposed between the unit connection part 15 and the gear chamber 10 so as to be sandwiched between them.

[0032] Therefore, to mold the throttle body 4 equipped with the gear chamber 10, a slide mold 18 for molding the gear chamber 10 is required, but since only one slide mold 18 is required per throttle body 4, when considering simultaneously molding multiple throttle bodies 4 using a pair of main molds 16, 17, it is possible to simultaneously mold four throttle bodies 4. This improves productivity.

[0033] If the unit connection surface is parallel to the central axis (X-axis direction) of the intake passage 2, two slide dies are required: one for molding the unit connection surface and one for molding the gear chamber. Therefore, although it is possible to mold two throttle bodies 4 at the same time, it is not possible to mold four throttle bodies 4 at the same time because the slide dies will interfere with each other.

[0034] Although the embodiment of the present invention has been described above, the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the unit connection surface 15A does not have to be perpendicular to the XY plane. [Explanation of symbols]
