Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to furniture that has the function of dividing an indoor space such as an office into a closed space like a private room, or a space that is almost completely shielded from the outside (hereinafter referred to as a semi-closed space), either entirely or partially, by arranging the furniture. In the present invention, a semi-closed space is not a closed space that is partitioned off up to the ceiling by walls or the like, but a space that is shielded from the surroundings to the extent that it blocks people's line of sight. [Background technology]
[0002] In indoor spaces such as offices, homes, or family restaurants, furniture such as tables and chairs necessary for the execution of various tasks and businesses within the space are appropriately selected and placed in the required locations for use. Here, furniture placement can be by itself, in combination with other furniture, or in combination with the walls of a building.
[0003] In an office or other space, once furniture has been arranged, the layout can be changed, but the furniture alone or in combination with other furniture can create the atmosphere of a semi-private space that is closed off from the surroundings. However, there is no furniture that can be deployed in an open space and used in the same atmosphere as regular furniture.
[0004] Conventionally, examples of furniture that can create a semi-private atmosphere using furniture such as tables and chairs include chairs with a high-backed screen attached to the back, a combination of a special type of screen that combines a screen with a roof-like cover, and furniture such as sofas and stools with high backs that act as screens, as disclosed in Patent Documents 1 to 3, etc. However, furniture that can create a semi-private atmosphere using this method has the drawback that it is not very user-friendly as office furniture, as it ends up with unused screens when used as a stand-alone piece of furniture in an open space, or it may be inappropriate for use in an open space. [0005] [Patent Document 1] Patent No. 4537691 [Patent Document 2] JP2015-85071A [Patent Document 3] Publication No. 6-18539 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0006] Therefore, the objective of the present invention is to provide semi-closed furniture that can create a closed, semi-private atmosphere in various forms when forming a meeting space with chairs for multiple people, for example four people, but can also be disassembled into individual chairs that can be freely deployed in an open space. [Means for solving the problem]
[0007] The configuration of the semi-closed furniture of the present invention, which was made with the aim of solving the above-mentioned problems, is a chair-like furniture formed with a chair seat that is approximately square when viewed from the top so that one person can sit on it, and with folding screen panels that are approximately L-shaped when viewed from the top and are set up in a continuous form along adjacent sides of the seat, and is characterized in that at least two to four or more than four pieces of the chair-like furniture are arranged facing each other in the corners of at least approximately a planar rectangle imagined on the floor surface. The chair-like furniture of the present invention can be arranged in an appropriate layout, such as by arranging multiple pieces in a straight line when viewed from above or randomly, to form a semi-closed space in which the back of the seat of the seated person is shielded from the surrounding area by a partition panel. If the left and right outer edges of the folding screen panel of the chair-like furniture have a wing-like shape that extends slightly beyond the front end of the seat, then when the furniture pieces are lined up together, the wing-like portions can be abutted to form an appropriate semi-closed space. The planar shape of the seat surface in the present invention includes a roughly square shape or a roughly circular square shape with large rounded corners. The seat surface also includes a roughly rectangular shape with short long sides that is roughly close to a square, or a rectangle ranging from a normal rectangle to a roughly diamond shape, and it is preferable that all of the corners are rounded. Furthermore, the seat surface may have a low standing wall at the back of two adjacent sides, and the standing wall may be provided with a screen panel.
[0008] The semi-closed furniture of the present invention includes the folding screen panel detached from the seat, or a panel-like furniture made of a separately prepared panel member having a roughly L-shape in plan view, and a table-like furniture formed by supporting a top plate body usable as a table on the inner surface of the panel. The chair-like furniture or panel-like furniture includes a small top plate provided on the inner surface of the panel.
[0009] The semi-closed furniture of the present invention is provided with casters at the bottom end of each piece of furniture, allowing each piece to be freely moved. Note that some partition panels do not have casters if they are light in weight. It is optional whether or not to use casters with stoppers, but casters with stoppers are preferred.
[0010] The chair-like furniture of the present invention is preferably provided with a cushion that serves as a backrest, in order to improve the sitting comfort by applying the cushion to the back of the person sitting directly behind the seat depending on the sitting direction relative to the seat surface.
[0011] In addition, in the present invention, when at least four pieces of chair-like furniture are used to create a semi-closed space for group work, a table with a round or rectangular top may be used. Some table tops have a flat monitor such as an LCD monitor or a desk screen on one end. When the chair-like furniture are randomly placed in the space and used by each individual, a small table with a top for one person may be attached to the chair-like furniture as necessary. Effect of the Invention
[0012] The present invention provides chair-like furniture having a seat surface that is, for example, approximately square when viewed from above, on which one person can sit, and partition panels that are approximately L-shaped when viewed from above and are erected in a continuous form along adjacent sides of the seat surface, so that this chair-like furniture can be used alone as semi-closed furniture with a semi-closed space, and for example, four pieces of the chair-like furniture can be arranged facing each other at at least four corners of a quadrangle to form a semi-closed space that is approximately surrounded by the partition panels of each chair-like furniture. On the other hand, the chair-like furniture can be arranged in any appropriate arrangement pattern, such as arranging the chair-like furniture in the same direction along a straight line when viewed from above, or arranging the chair-like furniture in a straight line with the directions of each chair-like furniture alternating, or arranging them randomly. On the other hand, in a fixed semi-closed space such as a family restaurant, if a seat for six is used by four people, space is wasted. However, by using the semi-closed furniture of the present invention, seats for four or six people in a semi-closed space can be easily created flexibly and space-efficiently according to the purpose and number of people. Furthermore, the semi-closed furniture of the present invention can be easily and quickly set up or changed into a semi-closed space for individual use such as concentrated work and a semi-closed space suitable for group work such as meetings, using the same furniture. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0014] Next, an embodiment of semi-closed furniture of the present invention will be described with reference to Figs. 1 to 29 and Figs. 30 to 38.
[0015] In Figures 1 and 2, 1 denotes a chair seat that is large enough for one person to sit on and has a roughly square shape with rounded corners when viewed from above. This seat 1 is mounted on a seat support frame 2 that is roughly box-shaped with a bottom, with two adjacent upright walls that are at a 90-degree angle when viewed from above removed and the remaining two upright walls open on all sides. 2c denotes the bottom of the support frame.
[0016] A planar, approximately L-shaped partition panel 3 having a partitioning effect is erected on the back of the remaining vertical walls 2a, 2b with an angle of 90 degrees of the support frame 2, with the front of its panel surface 3a, 3b closely attached to the back of the vertical walls 2a, 2b. It is optional whether the front of the panel 3 and the back of the seat support frame 2 are fixed in close contact with each other or are freely separable. The structure of the above-mentioned partition panel 3 may be a panel body in which the outer surface of a planar member of approximately the same shape as the panel 3, made of wood, metal, plastic or other material, is covered with an exterior material, or a panel body in which a panel frame consisting of the outer shape of the panel body and supporting bones supporting its interior is made of metal or other pipe material, and the frame is wrapped in a flexible sheet material such as woven or knitted fabric, and the present invention may employ a partition panel 3 made of either type of panel body. In addition, while the outer end of the partition panel 3 is formed approximately flush with the front edge of the seat 1 in the examples of Figures 1 and 2, there are also examples in which the outer end of the panel 3 is formed into left and right wing-like portions 3c, 3d that protrude slightly beyond the front end of the seat 1 (see Figures 3 and 4 described below).
[0017] Reference numeral 4 denotes a cushion placed on the seat 1 and used mainly as a backrest. When the seat 1 is in use, the cushion 4 is placed on either the upright wall 2a or 2b of the support frame 2, and functions as a backrest for the seated person M depending on the direction in which the person sits. In addition to this cushion form, the cushion 4 can be placed across the upright walls 2a and 2b to serve as a backrest when sitting on the corners of the seat 1. In the figure, reference numeral 5 denotes swivel casters provided on the four corners of the underside of the bottom 2c of the support frame 1.
[0018] The above-mentioned components from the seat 1 to the casters 5 form an example of chair-like furniture CF, which is an example of semi-closed furniture of the present invention. The seat 1 of the chair-like furniture CF may have a substantially circular planar shape with large radiuses at the corners of the square, though this is not shown in the figure. In addition, the seat 1 has upright walls 2a, 2b integrally formed on two adjacent sides (not shown), and casters 5 are provided via short legs at the four corners of the underside of the seat 1, and the support frame 2 is not used.
[0019] The chair-like furniture CF of the present invention is, simply put, a one-seater sofa with a roughly L-shaped flat screen panel attached to the back, but it differs from known sofas which only have one seating direction in that the seating directions are in at least three directions, including two directions along two perpendicular sides of the seat surface 1 and the corners of the two sides. Therefore, a variety of semi-closed spaces can be created by arranging multiple pieces of chair-like furniture CF in various ways.
[0020] In the present invention, the chair-like furniture CF2 and CF3 shown in Fig. 5 and Fig. 6 may be used to create semi-closed furniture using the chair-like furniture CF or to create a semi-closed space. That is, the chair-like furniture CF2 in Fig. 5 is a chair-like furniture having a rectangular seat 1A with shorter long sides instead of a square seat, and a partition panel 3A with an irregular L-shape that matches the planar shape of the seat 1A at the back of the bottom surface, and the chair-like furniture CF3 in Fig. 6 is different from the chair-like furniture CF in Fig. 1 in that the seat 1 is a substantially rectangular seat 1B, and therefore the rear panel 3 is also a flat partition panel 3B. The partition panel 3 of the chair-like furniture CF2 in Fig. 5 can be the partition panel 3 of the chair-like furniture CF in Fig. 1.
[0021] In the present invention, in the chair-like furniture CF of Fig. 1, a small top board 6 is provided on the inner surface of the partition panel 3 as shown in Fig. 4, which is used as a memo stand. The small top board 6 may be provided on either panel surface 3a or 3b of the panel 3. It may also be provided on the upper edge of the vertical walls 2a, 2b of the support frame 2 instead of the panel surfaces 3a, 3b. It may also be provided on a support arm protruding from the lower surface of the seat 1. The shape of the small top board 6 is not limited to the circular shape shown in the figure, but may be rectangular or another shape. The small top board 6 may also be provided in a variable type form, such as being freely movable up and down.
[0022] In the present invention, in order to form semi-closed furniture or a semi-closed space (sometimes called a semi-closed space) in combination with the chair-like furniture CF to CF3 in Fig. 1 to Fig. 4, panel-like furniture PF made of a planar, substantially L-shaped member as shown in Fig. 7, or table-like furniture TF with a top plate provided on the panel-like furniture PF as shown in Fig. 8, etc. are used. The panel-like furniture PF and table-like furniture TF will be described below.
[0023] The panel-like furniture PF in Fig. 7 is formed by a panel member 7 having panel surfaces 7a, 7b on the inside of a substantially L-shape when viewed from above. The panel member 7 having two flat panel surfaces 7a, 7b forming a 90-degree angle when viewed from above may be, for example, a panel body formed by bending one planar member 90 degrees, or a panel body formed by joining two planar members at the corners, or a folding screen panel 3 separated and independent from the chair-like furniture CF. The panel member 7 has the same panel structure as the folding screen panel 3 described in paragraph 0016. This panel-like furniture PF is usually equipped with casters or sliders for movement, although these are not shown in the figure. However, in cases where the weight of the piece of panel-like furniture PF is light, there are also panel-like furniture pieces PF that do not have casters or sliders. In order to give the user using the panel-like furniture PF of the present invention the impression of a semi-closed space to those using it alone or to those nearby, it is preferable, for example, to make the height of the panel surfaces 7a, 7b higher than the line of sight of a person of average height.
[0024] The table-like furniture TF in Figure 8 is formed by providing a tabletop 8 that is roughly triangular when viewed from above, in the example of Figure 7, at the same height as the tabletop of a normal desk or table, on two panel surfaces 7a, 7b that face each other at a 90-degree angle of the panel member 7 in the panel-like furniture PF in Figure 7. The top plate 8 may be substantially rectangular, or may have an arc-shaped or L-shaped front side, as well as the triangular shape described above. The top plate 8 may be detachable or movable relative to the panel surfaces 7a and 7b. The left and right outer edges of the panel member 7 are formed into wing-shaped portions 7c and 7d that slightly protrude from the left and right side edges of the top plate 8.
[0025] The size of the panel surfaces 7a, 7b in the panel-like furniture PF using the planar, approximately L-shaped panel member 7 of Figures 7 and 8 should be at least the same as the panel surfaces 3a, 3b of the planar, L-shaped partition panel 3 provided in the chair-like furniture CF described above, or should be larger than the panel surfaces 3a, 3b. This is because semi-closed furniture or a semi-closed space can be easily formed by combining the chair-like furniture CF of the present invention with the panel-like furniture PF or the table-like furniture TF (see Figs. 20 to 25).
[0026] As furniture that can be used to form a semi-closed space in combination with chair-like furniture CF, which is an example of the semi-closed furniture of the present invention, there are tables 9, 10, and 11 with tabletops of various shapes, as shown in Figures 9 to 11. The table 9 in Figure 9 has a rectangular tabletop 9a that is approximately twice as long as one side of the seat 1 in the chair-like furniture CF, the table 10 in Figure 10 has a circular tabletop 10a that has an area not much different from that of the seat 1, and the table 11 in Figure 11 has a small square tabletop 11a that is less than half the size (shape, area) of the seat 1.
[0027] In each of the tables 9 to 11, the table legs supporting the respective top boards 9a to 11a are assumed to be equivalent legs used for supporting the top boards. For example, the circular tabletop 10a and the small circular tabletop 11a are supported by legs with a single support pole on disk-shaped or radial legs, while the rectangular tabletop 9a is supported by legs with fewer legs such as T-shaped or L-shaped legs. In short, legs that do not get in the way when entering and exiting the semi-closed space formed or moving within the space are selected.
[0028] Examples of semi-closed furniture or semi-closed spaces of the present invention, which are set up using the chair-like furniture CF, CF2, CF3 of the present invention explained in Figures 1 to 11 above, the panel-like furniture PF and the table-like furniture TF, as well as conventional tables 9 to 11 to be combined with the furniture of the present invention, will be explained below with reference to Figures 12 to 29.
[0029] Fig. 12 shows a first example of a semi-closed space formed by arranging four pieces of chair-like furniture CF of the present invention equipped with the small tabletop 6 of Fig. 4, two pieces of chair-like furniture CF facing each other with the wing-like parts 3c, 3d of the outer edges of the partition panels 3, 3 butted against each other. In this example, the backs of the seated persons M facing each other are almost completely blocked by the wing-like parts 3c, 3d of the left and right partition panels 3, 3, so a semi-closed space with high shielding properties can be formed. FIG. 13 shows a second example of a semi-closed space formed by slightly separating the partition panels 3 of the furniture CF on the left and right sides in the arrangement example of FIG. 12, forming a semi-closed space that feels more spacious and open than the first example. Fig. 14 is a third example of a semi-closed space formed by inserting a table 9 with a rectangular top 9a of Fig. 9 inside the space in the arrangement example of Fig. 13, and Fig. 15 is a fourth example of a semi-closed space formed by inserting a table 10 with a circular top 10a of Fig. 10 instead of the table 9 in the arrangement of Fig. 13 and freely arranging four chair-like furniture pieces CF around the table 10. The chair-like furniture CF in Fig. 15 does not have a small top 6. In any of the semi-closed spaces in Figures 12 to 15, when four chair-like furniture pieces CF are arranged at approximately the four corners of a roughly planar rectangular space defined by the floor surface, a semi-closed space is formed that is almost surrounded by the L-shaped partition panels 3 of each piece of furniture CF when viewed from above. Therefore, even if there is no space for a conference room or meeting room on a large floor, it is easy to create an enclosed atmosphere that can serve as an alternative to such a place. FIG. 16 shows an example in which five pieces of chair-like furniture CF are freely arranged on a large floor space, allowing each person to concentrate on their thoughts or work while feeling the semi-closed space created by each piece of chair-like furniture CF. The chair-like furniture CF of the present invention shown in Figures 12 to 15 uses a screen panel 3 with wing-like portions 3c, 3d in which the outer edge on the front side of the screen panel 3 slightly protrudes from the seat surface 1. In this way, the chair-like furniture CF with the wing-like portions 3c, 3d in which both outer edges of the screen panel 3 protrude from the front edge of the seat surface 1 can form a semi-closed space with higher shielding properties. Note that the chair-like furniture CF in Figures 16 to 29 all have the side edges of the screen panel 3 protruding from the front end of the seat surface 1. Here, the shape of the wing-like portions 3c, 3d protruding from both outer edges of the partition panel 3 may be, for example, one that protrudes evenly in the height direction of the panel, or one that protrudes in a tapered (slanted) manner from the upper end to the lower end of the panel, or one in which the protruding portion is curved toward the seat surface. It goes without saying that a chair-like piece of furniture CF that does not have the protruding wing-like portions 3c, 3d as described above can be used to form the semi-closed space of the present invention.
[0030] Figure 17 shows an example of a semi-closed space formed by four pieces of chair-like furniture CF of the present invention as shown in Figure 3 and a table 9 with a rectangular top 9a with a desk screen Tp on its short side, where the screen panels 3, 3 and the desk screen Tp sandwiched between these panels 3, 3 form a roughly integrated wall surface. Figure 18 shows an example of a semi-closed space formed by six pieces of chair-like furniture CF of the present invention as shown in Figure 3, arranged in groups of three with a table 9 with a long rectangular top 9a in between. In the example of Figure 18, the screen panels 3 of each chair-like furniture CF are wavy in plan view, and the wing-shaped portions 3c, 3d on both outer edges of each panel 3 are arranged so as to abut against each other, creating a semi-closed space with high shielding properties. Figure 19 shows an example in which four pieces of chair-like furniture CF of the present invention in Figure 3 are arranged at a distance from each other along one side of a counter or a table 9 with a horizontally long top, and in this example, each chair-like furniture CF acts as a semi-closed space individually, while the whole space is formed as a loose semi-closed space by the symmetrically arranged panels 3 of the furniture CF on the left and right ends and the back of the panel 3 of the intermediate furniture CF. In Figure 19, the two chair-like furniture CF located on the right half of the table 9 form a meeting space for two people by arranging the panels 3 facing each other.
[0031] FIG. 20 shows an example of a semi-closed space formed by alternately facing each of the three panels 7 of the table-like furniture TF of the present invention shown in FIG. The semi-closed spaces illustrated in Figs. 20 to 26 are examples of the semi-closed spaces of the present invention formed by combining the panel-like furniture PF, table-like furniture TF and chair-like furniture CF shown in Figs.
[0032] Figure 27 shows an example of a semi-closed space formed by arranging the bench-like furniture CF3 of Figure 6 and the chair-like furniture CF of Figure 3 on either side of a long-top table 9 with a desk partition Tp on its short side. Figure 28 shows a semi-closed space formed by arranging the bench-like furniture CF3 of Figure 6 in an L shape, placing the chair-like furniture CF of the present invention of Figure 3 in a corner of the L shape, and arranging the chair-like furniture CF of the present invention on the diagonally opposite surface of the chair-like furniture CF, and a small-top table 11 of Figure 11 is placed inside this space. Figure 29 shows an example of a semi-closed space formed by placing a panel-like piece of furniture PF on one side facing two bench-like pieces of furniture CF3 arranged in a horizontal row, and placing the chair-like piece of furniture CF shown in Figure 4 on the other side facing the furniture CF3, and four small-top tables 11 shown in Figure 11 are placed in front of the bench-like furniture CF3.
[0033] Figure 30 shows an example in which the chair-like furniture CF of the present invention shown in Figure 1 is placed on the outer ends of each of the bench-like chair-like furniture CF3 arranged in a roughly L-shape in a plan view in the semi-closed space shown in Figure 28, thereby enhancing the sense of closed space in the chair arrangement in this figure.
[0034] Figures 31 to 33 show examples in which the sense of closeness is created by different arrangements of the chair-like furniture CF, panel-like furniture PF, and small-top table 11 in Figure 1. Fig. 31 shows an example in which the chair-like furniture CF and panel-like furniture PF are arranged diagonally on an imaginary rectangular plane, Fig. 32 shows an example in which the two main pieces of furniture CF and PF are arranged symmetrically in a horizontal row, and Fig. 33 shows an example in which three sets of the arrangement example in Fig. 32 are arranged in a vertical row. The layout in Fig. 33 has the effect of enhancing the feeling of being closed in at one's own seat by the partition panel 3 arranged at the front and the back surface of the panel member 7. Note that Figs. 31 to 33 show an example in which the partition panel 3 and the panel member 7 are of approximately the same size.
[0035] Figure 34 shows an example in which, in the arrangement shown at the top of the figure, a table 9 is sandwiched between two pieces of bench-like furniture CF3, by adding a chair-like piece of furniture CF with a small top 6 to the outer end of each of the chair-like pieces of furniture CF3, an expanded semi-closed space is formed as shown at the bottom of the figure.
[0036] FIG. 35 shows an example in which a so-called semi-private room (semi-closed space) for a small number of people is formed by using two pieces of chair-like furniture CF of the present invention, a panel-like furniture PF, and a table 10 with a circular top.
[0037] Figures 36 to 38 are examples of semi-closed spaces laid out using a sofa (long bench) LS for at least two people, panel-like furniture PF, and a small-top table 11. Fig. 36 is an example in which a simple sense of closed space is created by placing panel-like furniture PF in the rear corner of one side of a sofa LS. Fig. 37 is an example in which the layout of Fig. 36 is formed into a semi-closed space by extending two sofas LS in the left-right direction, placing two panel-like furniture pieces PF in one diagonal corner of an imaginary rectangular plane with the line of the two sofas LS as one side, and placing a stool C with a small top in the other diagonal corner. Fig. 38 is an example in which the panel-like furniture PF that was placed diagonally in the layout of Fig. 37 is placed at the other side end of the sofa LS to form a semi-closed space.
[0038] The present invention is as described above, and by using a plurality of pieces of chair-like furniture CF, which has a semi-closed atmosphere even when used alone due to having a tall, approximately L-shaped screen panel on the back of the furniture CF, or by combining the chair-like furniture CF with panel-like furniture PF in which the screen panel 3 of the furniture CF is independent, and / or table-like furniture TF formed by attaching a top plate 8 to the panel-like furniture PF, a space can be created in which a person sitting on the seat of the chair-like furniture CF can enjoy the feeling that their back, sides, and front are almost visually and audibly shielded from the surroundings.
