Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a method of forming biological tissue, a biological tissue formation package, and a biological tissue dispensing system, and more particularly to a method of forming biological tissue using a biological tissue formation package and a biological tissue dispensing system. [Background technology]
[0002] Cell sheets are widely used in the biomedical field because they can cover wounds and improve the rate of wound healing.
[0003] Currently, cell sheets are generally formed by culturing collected cells for a long period of time in a culture center, and then transported to various medical facilities for use as future clinical applications via a transportation environment with appropriate control factors such as temperature and humidity. Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0004] However, currently, cell sheet formation must be performed at a specific culture center, which is time-consuming and costly. In addition, there is a risk of contamination or damage to the cell sheet during transportation or storage for future use. Therefore, it is an important issue in related fields to develop methods, components, and systems for forming cell sheets quickly and at low cost near clinical sites.
[0005] The present disclosure provides a biopsy formation method, a biopsy formation package, and a biopsy dispensing system. [Means for solving the problem]
[0006] According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a biological tissue formation package is provided, the package including a substrate, a membrane, a slide assembly, and a sealing film, the substrate having a chamber for accommodating the membrane and the slide assembly, the slide assembly being disposed in a cover position to cover the membrane, the sealing film sealing the chamber, and one of the substrate and the sealing film being optically transparent, the biological tissue fluid being passed through the sealing film and the slide assembly to dispense the biological tissue fluid onto the membrane, the slide assembly being moved away from the cover position via at least one passive magnetic element to expose the biological tissue fluid on the membrane, and the exposed biological tissue fluid on the membrane being irradiated with curing light passing through one of the substrate and the sealing film to harden the biological tissue fluid into biological tissue.
[0007] According to another aspect of the present disclosure, a biological tissue formation package includes a substrate, a membrane, a slide assembly, at least one passive magnetic element, and a sealing film. The substrate has a chamber and a support surface disposed within the chamber. The membrane is made of a hydrophilic material and disposed on the support surface of the substrate. The slide assembly is movably disposed within the chamber of the substrate between a cover position and an exposed position. When the slide assembly is in the cover position, the slide assembly responsively covers the membrane. When the slide assembly is in the exposed position, the slide assembly moves away from the membrane to expose it. The at least one passive magnetic element is attached to the slide assembly and is magnetically attracted to move the slide assembly. The sealing film is disposed on the substrate to cover the substrate and seals the chamber, the membrane, the slide assembly, and the at least one passive magnetic element within the chamber. One of the substrate and the sealing film is optically transparent. When the slide assembly is in the cover position, the sealing film and the slide assembly are configured to allow biological tissue fluid to pass through and dispense biological tissue fluid onto the membrane. When the slide assembly is in the exposed position, one of the substrate and sealing film is configured to allow a curing light to pass through to irradiate the tissue fluid exposed on the membrane and cure the tissue fluid into the tissue.
[0008] According to yet another aspect of the present disclosure, a biological tissue dispensing system adapted for the biological tissue formation package described above includes a carrier, at least one active magnetic element, and a dispenser. The carrier includes a carrier body and a lid. The carrier body has a storage space configured to store the biological tissue formation package. The lid is connected to the carrier body for selectively opening and closing the storage space and has a dispensing hole communicating with the storage space. The at least one active magnetic element is movably attached to the lid. When the lid closes the storage space, the at least one active magnetic element is configured to magnetically attract the at least one passive magnetic element of the biological tissue formation package and move the slide assembly between a covered position and an exposed position. When the lid closes the storage space, one end of the dispenser is configured to move and pass through the dispensing hole, the sealing film, and the slide assembly to dispense biological tissue liquid onto the membrane. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0010] The present disclosure will become more fully understood from the detailed description set forth herein below and the accompanying drawings, which are for purposes of illustration only and are not intended to limit the disclosure.
[0011] Aspects and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following detailed description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. For purposes of explanation, one or more specific embodiments are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the present invention, and are described in sufficient detail to enable those skilled in the art to practice the described embodiments. The following description is not intended to limit the embodiments to one particular embodiment. On the contrary, it is intended to cover alternatives, modifications, and equivalents as may be included within the spirit and scope of the described embodiments, as defined by the appended claims.
[0012] Please refer to Figures 1-3. Figure 1 is a block diagram of a tissue dispensing system according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, Figure 2 is an exploded view of some components of the tissue dispensing system of Figure 1, and Figure 3 is another exploded view of some components of the tissue dispensing system of Figure 2.
[0013] The biological tissue dispensing system 1 provided in one embodiment of the present disclosure may include a former 10, a first drive mechanism 20, a second drive mechanism 30, a carrier 40, an active magnetic module 60, a dispensing module 70, a light source 80, and a controller 90.
[0014] The forming machine 10 contains a first driving mechanism 20, a second driving mechanism 30, a carrier 40, an active magnetic module 60, a dispensing module 70, and a light source 80. In one embodiment, the forming machine 10 has, for example, an openable gate (not shown), and when the gate is open, the biological tissue forming package 50 can be placed inside the forming machine 10, and when the gate is closed, the forming machine 10 can isolate external light from irradiating the inside. Specifically, when the biological tissue dispensing system 1 is operating, the gate of the forming machine 10 can be closed, and only the light irradiated from the light source 80 is inside the forming machine 10.
[0015] The first drive mechanism 20 may be, for example, an electric cylinder with a motor assembly that can be positioned horizontally. The second drive mechanism 30 may be, for example, an electric cylinder with a motor assembly that can be positioned vertically. Each of the first drive mechanism 20 and the second drive mechanism 30 may be in signal communication with the controller 90, which may send signals to control the movement of the first drive mechanism 20 and the second drive mechanism 30. It should be noted that the formation and arrangement direction of the first drive mechanism 20 and the second drive mechanism 30 is not intended to limit the present disclosure. In some other embodiments of the present disclosure, each of the first drive mechanism and the second drive mechanism may be a controllable and movable mechanism such as a pneumatic cylinder or a hydraulic cylinder. In some other embodiments of the present disclosure, each of the first drive mechanism and the second drive mechanism may be arranged in any direction.
[0016] The carrier 40 is disposed on the first driving mechanism 20 and can be moved, for example, along a horizontal direction, by the first driving mechanism 20. The carrier 40 includes a carrier body 100 and a lid 200. The carrier body 100 has a receiving space 101. The lid 200 is rotatably connected to the carrier body 100, covers the carrier body 100, and can selectively open and close the receiving space 101. The lid 200 has a dispensing hole 201. The dispensing hole 201 may be gradually reduced in size along a direction toward the carrier body 100, for example, in a funnel shape. When the lid 200 covers the carrier body 100, the dispensing hole 201 communicates with the receiving space 101. It should be noted that the first driving mechanism 20 is optional. In some other embodiments of the present disclosure, the carrier may be moved by other suitable methods instead of the first driving mechanism. Also, in some other embodiments of the present disclosure, the lid may be slidably coupled to the carrier body, and the present invention is not limited thereto.
[0017] The biological tissue formation package 50 is disposed in the accommodation space 101 of the carrier 40, and can be moved together with the carrier 40, for example, along the vertical direction. Specifically, the controller 90 can control the first driving mechanism 20 to move the carrier 40 to a position close to the gate of the forming machine 10 when the gate is opened, and the lid 200 of the carrier 40 can be conveniently opened to place the biological tissue formation package 50 in the accommodation space 101 of the carrier 40. Next, the controller 90 can control the first driving mechanism 20 to move the carrier 40 and the biological tissue formation package 50 in the forming machine 10 after the lid 200 is closed.
[0018] The active magnetic module 60 includes two active magnetic elements 61 and a third driving mechanism 62. The active magnetic element 61 may be, for example, a permanent magnet movably attached to the lid 200. It should be noted that the number of the active magnetic elements 61 is not a limitation of the present disclosure. In some other embodiments of the present disclosure, a different number of active magnetic elements may be arranged according to actual design requirements, and the present disclosure is not limited thereto. The third driving mechanism 62 is connected to the active magnetic element 61 and is in signal communication with the controller 90, and the controller 90 can send a signal to control the movement of the third driving mechanism 62.
[0019] The dispensing module 70 includes a dispenser 71 and a fourth drive mechanism 72. The dispenser 71 may be, for example, a syringe, but the present disclosure is not limited thereto. The dispenser 71 can be used to contain biological tissue fluid. It should be noted that a light curing component (e.g., a photopolymerization initiator in one embodiment) that assists in hardening the biological tissue fluid and a cell vector (e.g., collagen in one embodiment) that assists in transporting the biological tissue fluid may be mixed in the dispenser 71, and the ratio of the light curing component may be, for example, 99%, and the ratio of the cell vector may be, for example, 1%. However, the present disclosure is not limited thereto. The fourth drive mechanism 72 is connected to one end of the dispenser 71 (e.g., a piston rod of a syringe) and can signal communicate with the controller 90, and the controller 90 can transmit a signal to control the injection amount of the biological tissue fluid from the other end of the dispenser 71 (e.g., a needle of a syringe) via the fourth drive mechanism 72. Dispensing module 70 is disposed on second drive mechanism 30 and can be moved by second drive mechanism 30, for example, along a vertical direction toward or away from carrier 40.
[0020] The light source 80 may include multiple light emitting elements (not numbered) and is mounted inside the machine 10 to provide the curing light. In one embodiment, the light source 80 is mounted to the lid 200 of the carrier 40 such that the light source 80 can correspond to a support surface 302 (shown in FIG. 4 ) of the biopsy package 50 after the biopsy package 50 is placed in the carrier 40 and the lid 200 is closed.
[0021] The following describes the biopsy package 50. Reference is now made to Figures 4 and 5, along with Figures 2 and 3. Figure 4 is an exploded view of the biopsy package of the biopsy dispensing system of Figure 2, and Figure 5 is a perspective view of a first component of the biopsy package of Figure 4.
[0022] The biopsy package 50 includes a substrate 300 , a membrane 400 , a slide assembly 500 , two passive magnetic elements 600 , and a sealing film 700 .
[0023] The substrate 300 is disposed in the receiving space 101 of the carrier 40. The substrate 300 includes a plate 310 and a peripheral sidewall 320, and may have a chamber 301, a support surface 302, a first recess 303, and a second recess 304. The peripheral sidewall 320 stands around the plate 310. The peripheral sidewall 320 and the plate 310 define a chamber 301. The support surface 302 is located within the chamber 301. The support surface 302 is recessed from the plate 310 to form a first recess 303. The first recess 303 communicates with the chamber 301 and corresponds to the dispensing hole 201. The second recess 304 communicates with the chamber 301 and the first recess 303 for conveniently placing or removing the membrane 400 in or from the first recess 303.
[0024] Membrane 400 is made from a hydrophilic material such as polylactic acid (PLA) or a plasma surface treated and modified material such as polycaprolactone (PCL) or collagen, but the disclosure is not limited thereto. Membrane 400 is disposed on support surface 302 of substrate 300 and thus sits within first recess 303. Membrane 400 is configured to allow tissue fluid in dispenser 71 to be dispensed thereon.
[0025] The slide assembly 500 may be, for example, a blister pack made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET). The slide assembly 500 is movable between a cover position and an exposed position within the chamber 301 of the base 300, for example, to cover or expose the membrane 400 via a groove (not numbered) provided in the peripheral side wall 320, and the movement direction of the slide assembly 500 may be the same as the movement direction of the active magnetic element 61. When the slide assembly 500 is in the cover position, the slide assembly 500 covers the membrane 400 accordingly. When the slide assembly 500 is in the exposed position, the slide assembly 500 moves away from the membrane 400 to expose the membrane 400. It should be noted that the PET material of the slide assembly 500 is not intended to limit the present disclosure. In some other embodiments of the present disclosure, the slide assembly may be a blister pack made of polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), or high density polyethylene (HDPE). It should be noted that substrate 300 may be a blister pack made from the same materials as slide assembly 500 since they are conveniently manufactured in the same process, although the disclosure is not limited thereto.
[0026] Specifically, the slide assembly 500 may include a first component 510 and a second component 520. The first component 510 may include a first body 511 and a positioning element 512. The first body 511 may have a flat surface 5111 as shown in FIG. 5. The flat surface 5111 faces the support surface 302. The positioning element 512 and the flat surface 5111 are respectively disposed on two opposite sides of the first component 510. When the slide assembly 500 covers the first recess 303 and is disposed on the first recess 303, the positioning element 512 corresponds to the membrane 400. The positioning element 512 may be a cylindrical protrusion. The design of the protrusion is such that the dispenser 71 is aligned with the positioning element 512 and passes through the positioning element 512. The cylindrical design is intended to provide an escape route for air when the tissue fluid is dispensed onto the membrane 400, preventing the formation of air bubbles in the dispensed tissue fluid.
[0027] The second component 520 is disposed on the side of the first component 510 having the positioning element 512. The second component 520 may include a second body 521, a first protrusion 522, and a second protrusion 523. The second body 521 has an opening 5211 penetrating the second body 521. The opening 5211 is located between the first protrusion 522 and the second protrusion 523. The opening 5211 can be passed by the positioning element 512 so that the second component 520 can be disposed on the first component 510. The first protrusion 522 and the second protrusion 523 are spaced apart from each other on the second body 521 and disposed on two opposite sides of the opening 5211 along the moving direction of the slide assembly 500 (e.g., the direction indicated by the arrow A1 in FIG. 9). The first protrusion 522 may have a size along one dimension that is equal to or larger than the size of the first recess 303 and the size of the membrane 400. The second protrusion 523 has two recesses 5231. Note that after the biological tissue formation package 50 is placed in the carrier 40, the positioning element 512 corresponds to the dispensing hole 201 of the carrier 40.
[0028] It should be noted that the first component 510 and the second component 520 are two parts included in the slide assembly 500, which can reduce molding difficulties and save manufacturing costs. However, the present disclosure is not limited thereto. In some other embodiments of the present disclosure, the slide assembly may be integrally formed.
[0029] The passive magnetic elements 600 are accommodated in the recesses 5231 of the second protrusions 523, respectively. The passive magnetic elements 600 may be arranged on the opposite side to the first protrusions 522 along the moving direction of the slide assembly 500 (for example, the direction indicated by the arrow A1 in FIG. 9). The passive magnetic elements 600 may also magnetically attract the slide assembly to move the slide assembly 500. Furthermore, after the placement of the biological tissue formation package 50 in the carrier 40 is completed, the passive magnetic elements 600 are aligned with the active magnetic elements 61 attached to the carrier 40, respectively, and are magnetically attracted by the active magnetic elements 61.
[0030] The sealing film 700 is made of, for example, HDPE fiber and is therefore light-transmitting. The sealing film 700 can be disposed on the sidewall 320 around the base 300 to seal the chamber 301, so that the membrane 400, the slide assembly 500, and the passive magnetic element 600 are disposed in the chamber 301 sealed by the sealing film 700. It should be noted that the light-transmitting sealing film 700 that seals the chamber 301 may not be easily seen in the drawings because the components in the chamber 301 are still visible through the sealing film 700. However, the sealing film 700 is actually present. Also, the first protrusion 522 of the slide assembly 500 can abut against the sealing film 700 after the sealing film 700 seals the chamber 301, although the present disclosure is not limited thereto. In some other embodiments of the present disclosure, the passive magnetic element may be magnetically attracted by the active magnetic element to slightly lift the slide assembly, allowing the first protrusion of the slide assembly to abut against the sealing film. In some other embodiments of the present disclosure, the sealing film may be an aluminum foil, a PET film, or a PP film, and the present disclosure is not limited thereto.
[0031] A manufacturing process of the biological tissue formation package 50 will be described below. Please refer to Figs. 6 to 7 and 11 in addition to Figs. 1 to 4. Figs. 6 and 7 are schematic diagrams showing a manufacturing process of the biological tissue formation package according to one embodiment of the present invention, and Fig. 11 is a block diagram of the manufacturing process of the biological tissue formation package of Figs. 6 and 7. Note that in order to clearly show the operation of the biological tissue formation package 50, the carrier 40, the active magnetic module 60, and the light source 80 are omitted in Figs. 6 and 7.
[0032] 6, in step S101, the membrane 400 is placed on the support surface 302 of the base 300 of the biopsy package 50 so as to be located within the first recess 303. Next, in step S102, the slide assembly 500 is placed in the groove of the peripheral sidewall 320 so as to be located within the chamber 301 of the base 300.
[0033] Next, as shown in FIG. 7, in step S103, the slide assembly 500 is moved to a cover position so as to be located above the first recess 303 to cover the membrane 400. The slide assembly 500 is placed in a groove in the surrounding side wall 320, so as to be prevented from falling into the first recess 303. Meanwhile, the first protrusion 522 corresponds to one side of the membrane 400, as shown in FIG. 7. Next, in step S104, the chamber 301 is sterilized. Next, in step S105, a sealing film 700 is placed on the base 300 to seal the membrane 400, the slide assembly 500, and the passive magnetic element 600 in the chamber 301 of the base 300.
[0034] At this point, the manufacture of the biological tissue formation package 50 is completed. The biological tissue formation package 50 can be mass-produced and transported to various medical facilities for future use. Since the biological tissue formation package 50 does not contain any biological components at this point, there is no need to provide a special environment during transportation or storage of the biological tissue formation package 50, which reduces the cost of transportation and storage and eliminates the risk of contamination or damage of biological components during transportation or storage. In addition, the formation machine 10 is small and reasonably priced, so it can be widely provided to various medical facilities.
[0035] A biological tissue formation method realized by using the biological tissue dispensing system 1 will be described below. Please refer to Figs. 8-10 and 12 in addition to Figs. 1-4. Figs. 8-10 are schematic diagrams showing the process of the biological tissue formation method according to one embodiment of the present invention, and Fig. 12 is a block diagram of the manufacturing process of the biological tissue formation method of Figs. 8-10. Note that in order to clearly show the operation of the biological tissue formation package 50, the carrier 40, the active magnetic module 60, and the light source 80 are omitted in Figs. 8-10.
[0036] When the biological tissue formation package 50 transported to the medical facility needs to be used for clinical purposes, the biological tissue formation package 50 can be placed in the formation machine 10 as described above. Specifically, in step S106, the biological tissue formation package 50 is placed in the accommodation space 101 of the carrier 40 so as to be located in a space in the formation machine 10 that is isolated from external light when the gate of the formation machine 10 is closed. Next, in step S107, the controller 90 controls the first drive mechanism 20 (shown in FIG. 1) to adjust the relative positions of the carrier 40 and the dispenser 71 until the dispensing hole 201 of the carrier 40 and the dispenser 71 are aligned.
[0037] Next, as shown in FIG. 8, in step S108, the controller 90 controls the second driving mechanism 30 (shown in FIG. 1) to move the dispensing module 70 so that one end (e.g., needle) of the dispenser 71 passes through the dispensing hole 201 of the carrier 40 (shown in FIGS. 2 and 3), the positioning element 512 of the slide assembly 500 pierces the sealing film 700 of the biological tissue formation package 50 to form a through-hole 5121, and the end of the dispenser 71 reaches the chamber 301 and is positioned above the membrane 400. It should be noted that even if the dispenser 71 is not perfectly aligned with the dispensing hole 201 due to movement or manufacturing tolerance and there is a slight offset therebetween, the funnel shape of the dispensing hole 201 can easily guide the end (e.g., needle) of the dispenser 71 to be aligned and pierced. Next, in step S109, the controller 90 controls the fourth drive mechanism 72 (shown in FIG. 1) to move the other end of the dispenser 71 (e.g., the piston rod of a syringe), and the biological tissue fluid BT in the dispenser 71 can be injected from the end of the dispenser 71 (e.g., the needle of a syringe) and dispensed onto the membrane 400 in the first recess 303. Since the membrane 400 is made of a hydrophilic material, the biological tissue fluid BT dispensed onto the membrane 400 can be quickly diffused on the membrane 400, and as a result, the biological tissue fluid BT can be uniformly dispersed on the membrane. In addition, the air originally present between the flat surface 5111 and the membrane 400 enters the escape space provided by the cylindrical positioning element 512 after the biological tissue fluid BT is dispensed, rather than forming air bubbles in the dispensed biological tissue fluid BT.
[0038] 9, in step S110, the third driving mechanism 62 (shown in FIG. 1) controlled by the controller 90 moves the active magnetic element 61 (shown in FIGS. 2 and 3) to magnetically attract the passive magnetic element 600, and moves the slide assembly 500 to the exposed position along the direction indicated by the arrow A1, thereby exposing the biological tissue fluid BT on the membrane 400. It should be noted that the first protrusion 522 is designed to abut against the sealing film 700 after being placed or lifted with the movement of the passive magnetic element 600, and the first protrusion 522 can be continuously abutted against the sealing film 700 while the slide assembly 500 moves from the cover position to the exposed position. Therefore, even if the slide assembly 500 is applied with a force from one side, the slide assembly 500 still remains in cooperation with the abutment of the first protrusion 522 against the sealing film 700, and the flat surface 5111 is ensured to be held substantially parallel to the support surface 302 during the movement of the slide assembly 500. Therefore, the biological tissue fluid BT in the first recess 303 having a certain depth can have a smooth exposed surface due to the contact of the substantially parallel flat surface 5111 moving together with the slide assembly 500. Also, when the slide assembly 500 is moved from the cover position (shown in FIG. 8 ) to the exposure position (shown in FIG. 9 ), the first protrusion 522 can correspond from one side to the other side of the membrane 400. Therefore, the smoothing of the exposed surface of the biological tissue fluid BT contributed by the corresponding area of the flat surface 5111 is ensured while the first protrusion 522 moves from the membrane 400 to the other side. Next, in step S111, the light source 80 (shown in Figs. 2 and 3) attached to the lid 200 irradiates the biological tissue formation package 50 with light acting as curing light LT, which passes through the light-transmitting sealing film 700 and irradiates the biological tissue fluid BT exposed on the membrane 400 within a predetermined period of time. Due to the action of the light-curing component, the biological tissue fluid BT is cured into biological tissue BT' (as shown in Fig. 10). In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the predetermined period of time can be, for example, 30 seconds. However, the present disclosure is not limited thereto. In some other embodiments of the present disclosure, the light source irradiating the curing light has different setting conditions, which can affect the formation time of the biological tissue fluid. Therefore, the light source may be configured with different conditions to emit different curing lights according to actual requirements, so that the formation time of the biological tissue fluid can be flexibly adjusted. That is, in some other embodiments of the present disclosure, the predetermined period may be different based on different curing lights emitted from the light source with different setting conditions.
[0039] The curing light LT for photocuring may be visible light, ultraviolet light, or infrared light, and the present disclosure is not limited thereto. It should be noted that the curing light LT in the present disclosure is not light incident on the forming machine 10, but is provided by a light source 80 housed inside the forming machine 10 and isolated from external light. That is, the biological tissue formation method of the present disclosure can be performed in a space isolated from external light. However, the present disclosure is not limited thereto. In some other embodiments of the present disclosure, the biological tissue formation method of the present disclosure can be performed in an environment with ambient natural light, such as an internal space with the gate of the forming machine open or a normal desktop. That is, when the biological tissue formation method is performed in an environment with ambient natural light, all of the ambient natural light and the curing light emitted from the light source irradiate the biological tissue fluid.
[0040] The hardened biological tissue BT' is adhered onto the membrane 400. Next, as shown in Fig. 10, in step S112, the biological tissue formation package 50 is removed from the formation machine 10 (shown in Fig. 1), and the membrane 400 is moved from the bottom of the first recess 303 through the second recess 304 using a tool such as tweezers (not shown), thereby removing the sealing film 700 (shown in Fig. 9) for facilitating the acquisition of the hardened biological tissue BT' having the membrane 400.
[0041] Compared with tissue fluids cured by heating in the conventional method, the present disclosure can provide a stable environment for curing the biological tissue fluid BT in a short time of about 30 seconds. Therefore, after appropriate cells are collected from a cell bank, a biological tissue BT' that can be used immediately can be instantly produced. Since there is no need to provide a special environment for transporting and storing the cured biological tissue BT' for future use, the cost of transporting and storing the biological tissue BT' can be reduced, and the risk of contamination or damage of the biological tissue BT' during transportation and storage can be minimized.
[0042] In addition, the heating used to harden biological tissue in the conventional manner may damage cells due to improper temperature control. In comparison, irradiating the biological tissue fluid BT using the light source 80 provides a stable formation environment.
[0043] In addition, the design of the first recess 303 allows the hardened biological tissue BT' to be easily removed together with the membrane 400, and prevents damage to the biological tissue BT' caused by the high temperatures of laser cutting used to facilitate obtaining the hardened biological tissue BT' by conventional methods.
[0044] Furthermore, since the biological tissue fluid BT is hardened after being smoothed via the flat surface 5111 of the slide assembly 500, the exposed surface of the hardened biological tissue BT' is flat and therefore can be adapted to different types of wounds.
[0045] Furthermore, because the chamber 301 sealed within the biological tissue formation package 50 is sterilized and free of biological components prior to dispensing of the biological tissue fluid BT, the biological tissue formation package 50 can be mass-produced at low cost and then easily and inexpensively transported and stored at various medical facilities for future use.
[0046] Furthermore, the slide assembly 500 can be moved in a contactless manner via the active magnetic element 61 to maintain the sterility of the chamber 301 prior to dispensing the tissue fluid BT into the chamber 301 .
[0047] In one or more of the above-described embodiments, the light source 80 is attached to the lid 200 of the carrier 40, but the present disclosure is not limited thereto. Please refer to Fig. 13. Fig. 13 is an exploded view of some parts of a biological tissue dispensing system according to another embodiment of the present disclosure. In the following, only the differences between this embodiment and the above-described embodiments will be described, and the same description will be omitted.
[0048] In this embodiment, the base 300a of the biological tissue formation package 50a is light-transmitting. The light source 80a is attached to the bottom of the carrier body 100a, and provides the curing light LT that travels from the bottom of the biological tissue formation package 50a through the base 300a into the biological tissue formation package 50a to irradiate the biological tissue fluid in the biological tissue formation package 50a, and can also cure the biological tissue fluid irradiated from the bottom.
[0049] Please refer to Fig. 14. Fig. 14 is an exploded view of some parts of a biological tissue dispensing system according to yet another embodiment of the present disclosure. In the following, only the differences between this embodiment and the above-mentioned embodiment will be described, and the same description will be omitted.
[0050] In this embodiment, the base 300b of the biological tissue formation package 50b is light-transmitting. Four light sources 80b are attached around the accommodation space 101b. The light sources 80b provide curing light LT that enters the biological tissue formation package 50b from the periphery of the biological tissue formation package 50b through the base 300b in order to irradiate the biological tissue fluid in the biological tissue formation package 50b, and can also cure the biological tissue fluid irradiated from the periphery. It should be noted that the number of light sources 80b is not intended to limit the present disclosure.
[0051] Please refer to Fig. 15. Fig. 15 is an exploded view of some parts of a biological tissue dispensing system according to yet another embodiment of the present invention. In the following, only the differences between this embodiment and the above-mentioned embodiment will be described, and the same description will be omitted.
[0052] In this embodiment, the light source 80c is disposed outside the carrier 40. In order to irradiate the biological tissue fluid in the biological tissue formation package 50c, the light source 80c provides curing light LT that travels from the top of the biological tissue formation package 50c through the sealing film 700c into the biological tissue formation package 50c with the lid 200c open, and can also cure the biological tissue fluid irradiated from above.
[0053] According to the above-mentioned biological tissue formation method, biological tissue formation package, and biological tissue dispensing system, the present disclosure can provide a stable environment for rapidly hardening biological tissue fluid, compared with biological tissue fluid that is hardened by heating in the conventional method. Therefore, biological tissue for immediate use can be instantly prepared after appropriate cells are collected from a cell bank. Since there is no need to provide a special environment for transporting and storing the hardened biological tissue for future use, the cost of transporting and storing the biological tissue can be reduced, and the risk of contamination or damage of the biological tissue during transportation and storage can be minimized.
[0054] In addition, the heating used to harden biological tissues in the conventional way can damage cells due to improper temperature control, whereas irradiating biological tissue fluids with a light source provides a stable formation environment.
[0055] In addition, the design of the first recess allows the hardened biological tissue to be easily removed together with the membrane, and prevents damage to the biological tissue caused by the high temperature of laser cutting used in the conventional method to harden and facilitate the acquisition of biological tissue.
[0056] Furthermore, since the biological tissue fluid is smoothed through the flat surface of the slide assembly and then hardened, the exposed surface of the hardened biological tissue is flat and therefore can be adapted to different types of wounds.
[0057] Additionally, because the chamber sealed within the biotissue formation package is sterilized and free of biological components prior to dispensing of the biological fluid, the biotissue formation packages can be mass-produced at low cost and then easily and inexpensively shipped and stored at various medical facilities for future use.
[0058] Additionally, the slide assembly can be moved contactlessly via the active magnetic element to maintain sterility of the chamber prior to dispensing biological tissue fluids into the chamber.
[0059] It should be noted that signal communication referred to in this disclosure refers to a connection method that can transmit signals between two components, for example, by wired or wireless means.
[0060] The embodiments have been chosen and described to best explain the principles of the disclosure and its practical application, so as to enable those skilled in the art to best utilize the disclosure and various embodiments, with various modifications as suited to the particular applications envisioned. It is intended that the scope of the disclosure be defined by the following claims and their equivalents. [Explanation of symbols]
