Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a tape cutting device that cuts a carrier tape leaving a cover tape from a tape formed by attaching a cover tape to a carrier tape in which components are stored.

Background Art

[0002] Conventionally, a tape feeder is known as a component supply means in a component mounting device for mounting components on a substrate. The tape feeder is configured to convey a tape formed by attaching a cover tape to a carrier tape in which components are stored and supply the components, and there are various forms. Among them, there is one that uses teeth whose tip is processed so that the tip of the cover tape is longer than the tip of the carrier tape at the time of loading (for example, Patent Document 1 below).

[0003] Here, as described above, in order to process the tip of the cover tape so that it is longer than the tip of the carrier tape, it is necessary to cut only the base tape at a position a predetermined distance from the tip of the tape and remove the carrier tape at that portion. The tape cutting device shown in Patent Document 2 is a tool for performing such processing. When an operation of bringing two levers (a first operation lever and a second operation lever) connected by a link closer to each other is performed, the cutter and the tape pressing member approach while maintaining a parallel posture to each other, and the tape pressing member presses the tape against the cutter to cut the carrier tape (half-cut the tape).

Summary of the Invention

Problems to be Solved by the Invention

[0005] However, in the case of an embossed type having an embossed portion where the tape protrudes downward with the above-described conventional tape cutting device, when attempting to set the tape for cutting, the portion that supports a part of the tape interferes with the embossed portion, and it is not possible to successfully set the tape with respect to the tape cutting device. Therefore, there is a problem that the intended half-cut of the tape cannot be performed.

[0006] Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a tape cutting device capable of performing a half-cut that cuts only the carrier tape while leaving the cover tape even when the tape is of an embossed type.

Means for Solving the Problems

[0007] The tape cutting device of the present invention is a tape cutting device that cuts a carrier tape while leaving a cover tape from a tape in which a cover tape is attached to a carrier tape in which components are stored, and includes a first handle portion and a second handle portion that are opened and closed, a tape holding portion provided on the first handle portion for holding the tape, a cutter provided on the first handle portion for opposing a cutting edge toward the carrier tape of the tape held by the tape holding portion, and a support portion provided on the first handle portion for supporting the tape held by the tape holding portion. When the first handle portion and the second handle portion are operated in a closing direction, the cutting edge of the cutter contacts the carrier tape and the carrier tape is cut. The support portion has a shape capable of avoiding interference with the embossed portion when the tape held by the tape holding portion has an embossed portion that protrudes.

Effects of the Invention

[0008] According to the present invention, even when the tape is of an embossed type, a half-cut can be performed that cuts only the carrier tape while leaving the cover tape.

[0010] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIGS. 1, 2, and 3 show a tape cutting device 1 in one embodiment of the present invention. Before explaining the configuration of the tape cutting device 1, first, the tape T to be cut by the tape cutting device 1 will be described.

[0011] As shown in FIGS. 4(a) and (b), the tape T is composed of a carrier tape CT and a cover tape TT. A large number of pockets PK for storing parts are provided in a row on the carrier tape CT. A plurality of feed holes KH are provided in parallel with the row of pockets PK on both sides of the row of pockets PK of the carrier tape CT. The tape T to be cut by the tape cutting device 1 in the present embodiment is a type of tape T having an embossed portion EB with pockets PK protruding downward (that is, an embossed type), but a tape that is not of the embossed type (so-called paper type) can also be a cutting target.

[0012] In FIGS. 4(a) and 4(b), one component BH is stored in each pocket PK. The cover tape TT is attached at a position covering the row of pockets PK on the upper surface of the carrier tape CT (not covering the feed holes KH). Thus, in this embodiment, the tape T has a configuration in which the cover tape TT is attached to the carrier tape CT in which the components BH are stored.

[0013] Next, the tape cutting device 1 will be described. The tape cutting device 1 is a device that cuts the carrier tape CT leaving the cover tape TT, and as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, it includes a first handle portion 11 located on the lower side and a second handle portion 12 located above the first handle portion 11 and operable to open and close with respect to the first handle portion 11. These first handle portion 11 and second handle portion 12 constitute the main body portion 10 of the tape cutting device 1.

[0014] In FIGS. 1 and 2, one end portion in the longitudinal direction of the first handle portion 11 and the second handle portion 12 is pivotally connected by a pivot shaft 13. Therefore, the first handle portion 11 and the second handle portion 12 (i.e., the main body portion 10) can be opened and closed by rotating about the pivot axis 13J which is the central axis of the pivot shaft 13. Hereinafter, in each of the first handle portion 11 and the second handle portion 12, the end portion on the pivot shaft 13 side in the longitudinal direction is referred to as the "base end portion", and the end portion on the side opposite to the pivot shaft 13 is referred to as the "tip end portion". Also, the direction in which the first handle portion 11 extends is defined as the X direction, the width direction of the first handle portion 11 (the direction orthogonal to the X direction in the horizontal plane) is defined as the Y direction, and the height direction of the first handle portion 11 is defined as the Z direction.

[0015] In FIGS. 1 and 2, a pair of flanges (first handle portion flanges 11F) extending toward the second handle portion 12 are provided at both end portions in the width direction of the first handle portion 11. Also, the second handle portion 12 is provided with a pair of flanges (second handle portion flanges 12F) extending toward the first handle portion 11 side.

[0016] In FIGS. 1, 3, 5, and 6(a) and (b), a cutter holding portion 21, a cutter 22, a lifting member 23, a cutter cover 24, a tape holding portion 25, and a cam member 26 are provided on the first handle portion 11. Further, as shown in FIG. 1, a cam operation member 27 and a pressing portion 28 are provided on the second handle portion 12.

[0017] In FIGS. 1, 2, and 5, the cutter holding portion 21 is attached to the upper surface 11J of the first handle portion 11. As shown in FIGS. 6(b), 7, and 8, the cutter holding portion 21 is composed of a block-shaped member. Contact surfaces 21M with flat upper surfaces are formed at two locations along the Y direction of the cutter holding portion 21. In FIGS. 6(b), 7, and 8, a rod portion 21R extending along the X direction is provided on the base end portion side of the cutter holding portion 21.

[0018] In FIGS. 6(a) and (b), 7, and 8, the cutter 22 extends in the X direction as a whole and has a shape extending along the XZ plane (see also FIG. 3). The cutter 22 has its cutting edge 22H facing upward and is attached to the side surface of the cutter holding portion 21 in that posture. As shown in FIGS. 6(a) and (b), a plate-shaped cutter pressing member 22B extending in the X direction is attached to the side surface of the cutter holding portion 21 by two screw members 22S arranged in the X direction, and the cutter 22 is pressed against and fixed to the side surface of the cutter holding portion 21 by this cutter pressing member 22B.

[0019] In FIG. 9, two long hole-shaped screw insertion holes 11H that are long in the Y direction are provided side by side in the X direction in the first handle portion 11. The cutter holding portion 21 is inserted into these two screw insertion holes 11H and fixed to the first handle portion 11 by two cutter holding portion fixing screws 21N screwed into the lower surface of the cutter holding portion 21 (see also FIG. 5). The cutter holding portion 21 can be moved in the Y direction within the range of the length in the Y direction of the screw insertion hole 11H with respect to the first handle portion 11, and fine adjustment of the position in the thickness direction (Y direction) of the cutter 22 with respect to the first handle portion 11 can be performed (FIG. 10(a) → FIG. 10(b), FIG. 10(b) → FIG. 10(a)).

[0020] Thus, in the tape cutting device 1 according to the present embodiment, the cutter holding portion 21 is configured to be able to adjust the position in the thickness direction (Y direction) of the cutter 22 with respect to the first handle portion 11.

[0021] In FIGS. 1, 6(a), (b), 7, and 8, the elevating member 23 extends in the X direction as a whole and has a shape that spreads along the XY plane. A notch portion (elevating member notch portion 23K) is provided at the central portion of the elevating member 23 in the X direction, and as a result, two flange portions (elevating member flange portions 23F) are formed at both ends in the X direction (FIGS. 6(b) and 8).

[0022] The lifting member notch 23K is provided to prevent the embossing portion EB of the tape T from interfering with the lifting member flange portion 23F when the tape T to be cut is an embossed tape. When the embossed tape T is set on the main body portion 10 (details will be described later), the lifting member notch 23K has a shape and size that can avoid interference with the embossing portion EB in a state where the tape T is supported by the lifting member 23. Note that notches for avoiding interference with the embossing portion EB when the tape T is set on the main body portion 10 are also provided on the first handle portion flange 11F (flange notch 11K shown in FIGS. 1 and 2) and on the cutter holding portion 21 (recess 21B shown in FIGS. 3, 7, and 8).

[0023] In FIGS. 6(a) and 6(b), two guide posts 31 arranged side by side in the X direction extend upward on the upper surface 11J of the first handle portion 11 (see also FIG. 5). These two guide posts 31 each extend through the two lifting member flange portions 23F in the Z direction. Therefore, the lifting member 23 is guided by the two guide posts 31 and is movable (i.e., liftable and lowerable) in the Z direction.

[0024] In FIGS. 6(a) and 6(b), two downward extending portions 23E extending downward are formed on each of the two lifting member flange portions 23F. Tapered surfaces 23T having a shape that descends from the base end side to the tip end side of the first handle portion 11 are formed on the lower edges of the two downward extending portions 23E.

[0025] In FIGS. 1, 2, 6(a), and 6(b), the cutter cover 24 has a shape that extends along the X direction as a whole and spreads along the XZ plane. The cutter cover 24 has cutter cover flange portions 24F having a shape that spreads along the XY plane at both ends in the X direction.

[0026] In FIG. 8, two through holes 24H in the shape of oblong holes that penetrate in the thickness direction and are long in the Y direction are provided in two cutter cover flange portions 24F, respectively, with two (four in total) arranged side by side in the X direction. The upper ends of the two guide posts 31 pass through two of the four through holes 24H on the inner side, and circlips 32 for retaining are attached to the upper ends of the two guide posts 31 that have passed through. On the other hand, adjusting screws 24S are inserted into two of the four through holes 24H on the outer side from above, and these two adjusting screws 24S are screwed into two lifting member flange portions 23F, respectively.

[0027] The cutter cover 24 is arranged with a gap SK on the side in the Y direction of the lifting member 23 (FIGS. 11(a) and (b)). The cutter 22 held by the cutter holding portion 21 is located in the gap SK between the cutter cover 24 and the lifting member 23. The cutter cover 24 can be moved (slid) in the Y direction (therefore, in the thickness direction of the cutter 22 with respect to the cutter 22) with respect to the two lifting member flange portions 23F within the range of the length in the Y direction of the through holes 24H provided in the two cutter cover flange portions 24F (FIG. 11(a) → FIG. 11(b), FIG. 11(b) → FIG. 11(a)).

[0028] Thus, in the tape cutting device 1 according to the present embodiment, the cutter cover 24 is configured to be position adjustable in the thickness direction of the cutter 22. Therefore, the cutter cover 24 can be positioned at a position extremely close to the side surface of the cutter 22, and the amount of lateral movement (the thickness direction of the cutter 22, which is the Y direction) of the cutting edge 22H of the cutter 22 when the cutter 22 cuts the tape T (specifically, the carrier tape CT) can be suppressed to be small.

[0029] In FIGS. 6(a) and (b), a lifting member biasing spring 33 is inserted through each of the two guide posts 31 (see also FIG. 5). The lifting member 23 is biased upward by these two lifting member biasing springs 33.

[0030] In the natural state where no downward pressing force acts on the elevating member 23, the elevating member 23 is in contact with the two circlips 32 attached to the upper ends of the two guide columns 31 from below (specifically, in a state where the cutter cover flange portion 24F is sandwiched therebetween) (hereinafter referred to as the "first position"; Fig. 12(a)). When the elevating member 23 is in the first position, the cutting edge 22H of the cutter 22 is located at a position lower than the height of the cutter cover 24, and the cutting edge 22H of the cutter 22 is covered by the cutter cover 24 (Fig. 12(a)).

[0031] On the other hand, when an upward pressing force P acts on the elevating member 23 in the state where it is in the first position from above, the elevating member 23 is in a position where it has descended from the first position (hereinafter referred to as the "second position"; Fig. 12(b)). When the elevating member 23 is in the second position, the cutting edge 22H of the cutter 22 is located at a position higher than the height of the cutter cover 24, and is in a state of being exposed above the cutter cover 24 (Fig. 12(b)).

[0032] Thus, in the tape cutting device 1 of the present embodiment, depending on the height of the elevating member 23 (and the cutter cover 24) with respect to the cutter 22, the cutting edge 22H of the cutter 22 is hidden (covered) or exposed by the cutter cover 24.

[0033] In Figs. 1, 6(a), (b), 7, and 8, the tape holding portion 25 is attached to the upper surface of the cutter holding portion 21. As shown in Figs. 3, 6(b), and 7, a long hole-shaped screw mounting hole 21H extending in the Y direction is provided on the upper surface of the cutter holding portion 21. The tape holding portion 25 is inserted through this screw mounting hole 21H and fixed to the upper surface 11J of the first handle portion 11 by a tape holding portion fixing screw 25S screwed onto the upper surface of the cutter holding portion 21. Therefore, the tape holding portion 25 can be moved (slid) in the Y direction on the cutter holding portion 21 within the range of the length of the screw mounting hole 21H in the Y direction (arrow A shown in Figs. 1 and 3).

[0034] As described above, in this embodiment, the tape holding portion 25 provided on the first handle portion 11 and holding the tape T in a posture where the cover tape TT is on the upper side is configured to be position - adjustable in the thickness direction (Y - direction) of the cutter 22. Therefore, fine adjustment in the Y - direction of the position of the tape T with respect to the cutting edge 22H of the cutter 22 when the tape T is held by the tape holding portion 25 can be easily performed.

[0035] In FIGS. 3, 6(a), (b), 7, and 8, two holding pins 25P are provided on the upper surface of the tape holding portion 25. The two holding pins 25P are arranged side - by - side in the Y - direction and each protrudes upward and extends. The interval between the two holding pins 25P coincides with the interval between two feed holes KH arranged on the tape T. Here, the "interval between two feed holes KH" does not necessarily mean the interval between two adjacent feed holes KH, and may be the interval between two feed holes KH arranged at intervals of a plurality of holes.

[0036] The cam member 26 is a member provided so as to be movable in the X - direction in the region between the upper surface 11J of the first handle portion 11 and the elevating member 23. As shown in FIGS. 6(a) and (b), the cam member 26 includes a base portion 26a extending in the Y - direction, a cam portion 26b extending in the X - direction from one end portion of the base portion 26a in the Y - direction to the lower region of the elevating member 23, and a side portion 26c extending in the X - direction from the other end portion of the base portion 26a in the Y - direction.

[0037] At both ends in the X - direction of the upper edge of the cam portion 26b of the cam member 26, protruding portions 26T having an upward - protruding shape are provided. A rod - portion insertion hole 26H is provided in the base portion 26a (FIG. 6(b)), and the rod portion 21R of the cutter holding portion 21 is inserted through the rod - portion insertion hole 26H in the X - direction and connected to the base end portion of the first handle portion 11.

[0038] In FIGS. 6(a) and 6(b), a cam member biasing spring 26S is provided by inserting a rod portion 21R of a cutter holding portion 21 between a base portion 26a of the cam member 26 and a base end portion of the first handle portion 11. Therefore, the cam member 26 is in a state of being biased in the X direction (specifically, toward the tip end side of the first handle portion 11) by the biasing force of the cam member biasing spring 26S.

[0039] Since the cam member 26 is biased toward the tip end side of the first handle portion 11 by the cam member biasing spring 26S as described above, when the cutter cover 24 is located at the first position, the cam member 26 enters below the cutter cover 24 (FIG. 13(a)). In this state, since each of the two protruding portions 26T of the cam member 26 is located below each of the two downward extending portions 23E of the cutter cover 24, the cutter cover 24 is prevented from descending from the first position and maintains the state of being located at the first position. The position of the cam member 26 as described above is hereinafter referred to as the "blocking position" (see also FIGS. 6(a) and 12(a)). When the cam member 26 is located at the "blocking position", since the cutter cover 24 maintains the state of being located at the first position, the cutting edge 22H of the cutter 22 is not exposed above the cutter cover 24.

[0040] On the other hand, when the cam member 26 receives a force (the pulling force F shown in FIG. 13(b)) directed toward the base end side of the first handle portion 11 from the state of being located at the above-described "blocking position", it moves in the direction in which the pulling force F acts against the biasing force of the cam member biasing spring 26S (compressing the cam member biasing spring 26S) (FIG. 13(a) → FIG. 13(b)). Then, as each of the two protruding portions 26T of the cam member 26 is displaced from below each of the two lower extending portions 23E of the cutter cover 24 toward the base end side of the first handle portion 11, the cutter cover 24 is allowed to descend from the first position and is located at the above-described second position after descending from the first position. The position of the cam member 26 as described above is hereinafter referred to as the "permissible position" (FIGS. 12(b) and 13(b)). When the lifting member 23 located at the first position receives a downward pressing force while the cam member 26 is located at the "permissible position", the lifting member 23 moves to the second position according to the pressing force, so that the cutting edge 22H of the cutter 22 is in an exposed state (FIG. 12(a) → FIG. 12(b), FIG. 13(a) → FIG. 13(b)).

[0041] In this way, the cam member 26 is biased toward the tip end side of the first handle portion 11 by the cam member biasing spring 26S, and is movable between a "blocking position" that blocks the lifting member 23 located at the first position from moving to the second position and a "permissible position" that allows the lifting member 23 to move from the first position to the second position.

[0042] In FIGS. 1 and 14(a) and (b), the cam operation member 27 is provided on the lower surface of the second handle portion 12 (the surface on the side facing the upper surface 11J of the first handle portion 11 when the main body portion 10 is closed). As shown in FIGS. 14(a) and (b), the cam operation member 27 has an overall "Z" shape and includes a main portion 27a extending in the vertical direction, a mounting portion 27b formed by bending the upper side of the main portion 27a, and an operation portion 27c formed by bending the lower side of the main portion 27a.

[0043] The cam operation member 27 is attached by attaching portions 27b being tightened to the lower surface side of the second handle portion 12 by two attachment screws 27S inserted through two screw attachment holes 12H provided in the second handle portion 12. The two screw attachment holes 12H are formed as long holes extending in the longitudinal direction of the second handle portion 12. For this reason, the positions of the two attachment screws 27S with respect to the two screw attachment holes 12H can be slightly changed, and it is possible to finely adjust the attachment position of the cam operation member 27 with respect to the second handle portion 12 in the longitudinal direction of the second handle portion 12.

[0044] In FIG. 1, the pressing portion 28 is provided on the lower surface side of the second handle portion 12 (the side facing the first handle portion 11 when the main body portion 10 is closed). In the intermediate portion in the longitudinal direction of the second handle portion 12, a swing shaft 34 extending in the Y direction with both ends supported by two second handle portion flanges 12F is attached, and the pressing portion 28 is swingably supported at its intermediate portion by the swing shaft 34. The swing axis 34J (FIGS. 1 and 2), which is the central axis of the swing shaft 34, extends in the Y direction, and the swing axis 34J and the pivot axis 13J are parallel to each other.

[0045] In FIG. 1, a flat pressing surface 28M is formed in the intermediate portion in the longitudinal direction of the lower surface of the pressing portion 28 (the surface on the side facing the first handle portion 11 when the main body portion 10 is closed). As will be described later, the pressing portion 28 presses the lower surface side (carrier tape CT) of the tape T against the cutting edge 22H of the cutter 22 by contacting the upper surface side (cover tape TT side) of the tape T held by the tape holding portion 25.

[0046] In FIG. 1, two contact pins 28P are provided so as to protrude in directions substantially orthogonal to the pressing surface 28M at both longitudinal ends of the lower surface of the pressing portion 28, respectively. The two contact pins 28P are located slightly outside the pressing surface 28M of the pressing portion 28 in the Y direction.

[0047] When performing a cutting (half - cut) operation to cut only the carrier tape CT while leaving the cover tape TT of the tape T by the tape cutting device 1 configured as described above, the operator first sets the cutter 22. When setting the cutter 22, first, the cutter 22 is attached to the cutter holding portion 21 in a state removed from the first handle portion 11. This attachment of the cutter 22 is performed by attaching a cutter pressing member 22B to the side surface of the cutter holding portion 21 and pressing the cutter 22 against the side surface of the cutter holding portion 21 with the cutter presser 22B.

[0048] After the operator attaches the cutter 22 to the cutter holding portion 21, the operator fixes the cutter holding portion 21 to the upper surface of the first handle portion 11. This fixing operation of the cutter holding portion 21 is performed by inserting two cutter holding portion fixing screws 21N into two screw insertion holes 11H provided in the first handle portion 11 from the lower surface side of the first handle portion 11 and screwing these two cutter holding portion fixing screws 21N into the lower surface of the cutter holding portion 21. And at this time, the cutter holding portion 21 is moved (slid) in the Y direction with respect to the first handle portion 11, and the position adjustment in the Y direction of the cutter holding portion 21 is performed so that the cutter 22 is at the position closest to the lifting member 23 (Figure 10(a) → Figure 10(b)). Thus, the attachment of the cutter holding portion 21 (that is, the cutter 22) to the first handle portion 11 is completed.

[0049] After the attachment of the cutter holding portion 21 to the first handle portion 11 is completed as described above, the operator adjusts the position of the cutter cover 24. The position adjustment of the cutter cover 24 is performed by loosening two adjustment screws 24S that attach the cutter cover 24 to the lifting member 23, moving the cutter cover 24 in a direction closer to the lifting member 23 along a through - hole 24H provided to extend in the Y direction in the cutter cover 24 (Figure 11(a) → Figure 11(b)), and then tightening the two adjustment screws 24S. Thus, the position adjustment of the cutter 22 is completed.

[0050] When the position adjustment of the cutter cover 24 is completed as described above, the operator opens the first handle portion 11 and the second handle portion 12, and then sets the tape T as shown in FIG. 15. When setting the tape T, the tape T is placed with the cover tape TT on top and in a posture extending in the horizontal direction orthogonal to the first handle portion 11. Then, two feed holes KH out of the two rows of feed holes KH provided in the tape T (here, the row of feed holes KH on the right side when viewed from the tip end side of the tape T; the row of feed holes KH on the lower side of the drawing in FIG. 15) are inserted into the two holding pins 25P provided in the tape holding portion 25 from above. Thereby, the tape T is held by the tape holding portion 25 and is set in the main body portion 10.

[0051] In the state where the tape T is set in the main body portion 10, the cutting edge 22H of the cutter 22 is covered by the cutter cover 24, and the carrier tape CT is located above the cutting edge 22H of the cutter 22. The lifting member 23 is located at the first position. When the tape T is of the embossing type, a part of the plurality of embossing portions EB provided in the tape T is inserted into the lifting member notch portion 23K formed in the lifting member 23 from above, and another part of the plurality of embossing portions EB is inserted into the recess 21B formed in the cutter holding portion 21 from above. Therefore, the tape T is set in the main body portion 10 without interfering the embossing portions EB with the lifting member 23.

[0052] After setting the tape T as described above, the operator closes the main body 10 (i.e., the first handle part 11 and the second handle part 12) (Fig. 16(a) → Fig. 16(b)). As a result, the entire cam operation member 27 attached to the second handle part 12 rotates around the pivot axis 13J with respect to the first handle part 11, and the operation part 27c is brought into contact with the base part 26a of the cam member 26 from the tip side of the first handle part 11 (Fig. 17(a) → Fig. 17(b)). Then, when the main body 10 is further operated in the closing direction, the cam operation member 27 moves the cam member 26 located at the "blocking position" to the side opposite to the tip side of the first handle part 11 against the biasing force of the cam member biasing spring 26S (Fig. 17(b) → Fig. 17(c)). As a result, the cam member 26 is in a state of being located at the "permissible position" (Fig. 17(c)).

[0053] At substantially the same timing as when the cam member 26 is located at the "permissible position", the pressing surface 28M of the pressing part 28 comes into contact with the upper surface of the lifting member 23 (Fig. 18(a) → Fig. 18(b) → Fig. 18(c), Fig. 19(a) → Fig. 19(b) → Fig. 19(c)). In this process, the pressing part 28 presses down the lifting member 23 while compressing the two lifting member biasing springs 33 by the pressing surface 28M (Fig. 18(b) → Fig. 18(c), Fig. 19(b) → Fig. 19(c)).

[0054] When the pressing part 28 tries to press down the lifting member 23, since the cam member 26 is already located at the "permissible position", the lifting member 23 descends without being obstructed by the cam member 26. When the lifting member 23 is located at the second position, the cutting edge 22H of the cutter 22 is in a state of being exposed above the cutter cover 24 (Fig. 17(c) and Fig. 19(c)).

[0055] When the elevating member 23 is positioned at the second position and the cutting edge 22H of the cutter 22 is exposed above the cutter cover 24, the pressing surface 28M of the pressing portion 28 approaches the cutting edge 22H of the cutter 22 from above, and the entire tape T is pushed down. As a result, the carrier tape CT is pressed against the cutting edge 22H of the cutter 22 from above (Fig. 18(b) → Fig. 18(c), Fig. 19(b) → Fig. 19(c)), the cutting edge 22H of the cutter 22 bites into the carrier tape CT, and the carrier tape CT is cut. When the cutting edge 22H of the cutter 22 cuts the carrier tape CT, two abutting pins 28P provided on the second handle portion 12 abut against two abutting surfaces 21M on the side of the first handle portion 11 (Fig. 18(b) → Fig. 18(c), Fig. 19(b) → Fig. 19(c)), so that the operator can no longer perform the operation of closing the main body portion 10.

[0056] Here, the mounting position of the cutter 22 with respect to the first handle portion 11 is such that at the time when the two abutting pins 28P abut against the abutting surfaces 21M and the closing operation of the main body portion 10 is restricted, the distance D between the pressing surface 28M and the cutting edge 22H of the cutter 22 (Fig. 20. Fig. 20 is an enlarged view of the region RY shown in Fig. 19(c)) is set to be equal to the distance corresponding to the thickness of the cover tape TT. For this reason, after the carrier tape CT is cut by the cutter 22, the cover tape TT is not cut by the cutter 22. Therefore, the tape T is in a state where only the carrier tape CT is cut leaving the cover tape TT (Fig. 21(a) → Fig. 21(b)).

[0057] As described above, in this embodiment, the two abutting pins 28P provided on the pressing portion 28 serve as restricting means for restricting the pressing of the tape T against the cutter 22 by the pressing portion 28 when the carrier tape CT of the tape T pressed against the cutter 22 by the pressing portion 28 (pressing surface 28M) is cut by the cutter 22.

[0058] As described above, the tape cutting device 1 in this embodiment is provided on the first handle portion 11, and includes a tape holding portion 25 that holds the tape T, a cutter 22 that is provided on the first handle portion 11 and has a blade tip 22H facing the carrier tape CT of the tape T held by the tape holding portion 25, and a lifting member 23 that is provided so as to be liftable with respect to the first handle portion 11 and serves as a support portion that supports the tape T held by the tape holding portion 25. When the first handle portion 11 and the second handle portion 12 are operated in the closing direction, the blade tip 22H of the cutter 22 contacts the carrier tape CT and the carrier tape CT is cut, and the lifting member 23 has a shape that can avoid interference with the emboss portion EB when the tape T held by the tape holding portion 25 has an emboss portion EB protruding (specifically, the lifting member 23 has a lifting member notch portion 23K).

[0059] Therefore, even if the tape T is an emboss type, it is possible to avoid interference between the emboss portion EB and the lifting member 23 that supports the tape T, and it is possible to perform a half cut that cuts only the carrier tape CT while leaving the cover tape TT in a state where the tape T is stably supported.

[0060] As described above, according to the tape cutting device 1 in this embodiment, since the lifting member 23 has a shape that can avoid interference with the emboss portion EB when the tape T held by the tape holding portion 25 has an emboss portion EB protruding downward, even if the tape T is of the emboss type, it is possible to perform a half cut that cuts only the carrier tape CT while leaving the cover tape TT.

[0061] Although the embodiments of the present invention have been described so far, the present invention is not limited to those described above, and various modifications and the like are possible. For example, in the above-described embodiment, the first handle portion 11 and the second handle portion 12 that constitute the main body portion 10 are configured such that the proximal end portions thereof can be opened and closed about the axis of the pivot shaft 13 (pivot axis 13J) by the pivot shaft 13. However, the first handle portion 11 and the second handle portion 12 do not necessarily have to be pivotally connected to each other by the pivot shaft 13 at their proximal end portions. Therefore, for example, the first handle portion 11 and the second handle portion 12 may be configured to open and close by approaching or separating while maintaining a parallel posture with respect to each other.

[0062] In the above-described embodiment, the operation of the tape cutting device 1 in the present embodiment has been described by taking as an example the case of cutting (half-cutting) an embossing type tape having an embossing portion EB. However, the tape cutting device 1 in the present embodiment is not limited to an embossing type tape, and it goes without saying that it can cut (half-cut) a tape of a type having no embossing portion EB (so-called paper type).

Industrial Applicability

[0063] Provided is a tape cutting device capable of performing a half-cut that cuts only the carrier tape while leaving the cover tape even when the tape is an embossing type.
