Summary of the Invention

Problems to be Solved by the Invention

[0006] However, in the fishing line guide disclosed in Patent Document 1, since the gate is arranged on the inner diameter side of the ring holding part and it is a guide frame structure that requires the removal of the gate during hole processing, there is a problem that the gate removal process becomes inevitable during hole processing of the fishing line guide.

[0007] The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and its object is to enable the mounting of a guide ring on a guide body without removing gate marks in a fishing line guide formed by injection molding, not only making the gate mark removal process unnecessary, but also contributing to an improvement in the adhesive strength between the guide body and the guide ring due to the gate marks that have been conventionally removed. Another object of the present invention will become clear by referring to the entire specification.

Means for Solving the Problems

[0008] A fishing line guide according to an embodiment of the present invention is attached to a fishing rod. The fishing line guide includes a guide body in which a through hole is formed, a guide ring fitted into the through hole of the guide body, and a gate mark formed on an inner peripheral surface defining the through hole of the guide body and formed so as to protrude into the through hole of the guide body. When viewed in a direction perpendicular to the guide body, the contour shape of the guide body defining the through hole is formed to include one or a plurality of convex portions bulging radially outward from a perfect circle, and the gate mark is disposed at a position on the inner peripheral surface of the guide body defining the through hole where the one or a plurality of convex portions of the through hole are formed.

[0009] In the fishing line guide according to an embodiment of the present invention, when a plurality of gate marks are formed, the one or a plurality of convex portions are formed in accordance with the number of the formed gate marks.

[0010] In the fishing line guide according to an embodiment of the present invention, the one or a plurality of convex portions have a crescent shape.

[0011] In the fishing line guide according to an embodiment of the present invention, the gate mark has a height in the range of 0.1 mm to 1.0 mm for the maximum height (D1).

[0012] In the fishing line guide according to an embodiment of the present invention, the gate mark is formed at a position that does not overlap with the central position of the inner peripheral surface defining the through hole of the guide body or both end positions of the inner peripheral surface when viewed in a direction perpendicular to the guide body.

[0013] In the fishing line guide according to an embodiment of the present invention, the maximum height (L1) of the one or more convex portions is equal to or greater than the maximum height (D1) of the gate mark.

[0014] In the fishing line guide according to an embodiment of the present invention, the guide ring is curved so that a gap is formed between its outer peripheral surface and the inner peripheral surface of the guide body, and the gate mark is formed between the outer peripheral surface of the guide ring and the inner peripheral surface of the guide body.

[0015] The fishing line guide according to an embodiment of the present invention further includes an adhesive disposed in the gap.

[0016] A fishing rod according to an embodiment of the present invention is configured to include at least one of the above fishing line guides.

Embodiments for Carrying Out the Invention

[0019] Hereinafter, embodiments of a fishing line guide according to the present invention and a fishing rod provided with the fishing line guide will be specifically described with reference to the accompanying drawings. The same reference numerals are given to common components in a plurality of drawings throughout the plurality of drawings. Note that each drawing is not necessarily drawn to an exact scale for convenience of explanation.

[0020] FIG. 1 is a diagram showing an embodiment of a fishing rod according to the present invention. As shown in the drawing, a fishing rod 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a rod body 2, a reel 6 attached to the rod body 2 via a reel seat 9, and a fishing line guide 10 attached to the rod body 2. In the illustrated embodiment, each of the reel seat 9 and the fishing line guide 10 corresponds to a mounting component attached to the outer peripheral surface of the rod body.

[0021] The rod body 2 is constituted, for example, by connecting a base rod 3, a middle rod 5, a tip rod 7, etc. These rod bodies are joined, for example, in a butt-joint manner. The base rod 3, the middle rod 5, and the tip rod 7 can be joined by a casting-off method, a reverse butt-joint method, an inro method, or any other known joining method. The rod body 2 may be constituted from a single rod body.

[0022] The base rod 3, the middle rod 5, and the tip rod 7 are constituted, for example, by tubular bodies made of fiber-reinforced resin. This tubular body made of fiber-reinforced resin is created by winding a fiber-reinforced resin prepreg (prepreg sheet) in which reinforcing fibers are impregnated with a matrix resin around a mandrel, and heating and curing this prepreg sheet. As the reinforcing fibers contained in this prepreg sheet, for example, carbon fibers, glass fibers, and any other known reinforcing fibers can be used. As the matrix resin contained in the prepreg sheet, a thermosetting resin such as an epoxy resin can be used. After the prepreg sheet is cured, the mandrel is removed. Also, the outer surface of the tubular body is polished as appropriate. Each rod body may be constituted in a solid form.

[0023] In the illustrated embodiment, the base rod 3, the middle rod 5, and the tip rod 7 are provided with a plurality of fishing line guides 10 (fishing line guides 10A to 10D) for guiding the fishing line paid out from a reel 6 attached to a reel sheet 9. More specifically, a fishing line guide 10A is provided on the base rod 3, a fishing line guide 10B is provided on the middle rod 5, and a fishing line guide 10C is provided on the tip rod 7. A top guide 10D is provided at the tip of the tip rod 7, but the details are omitted.

[0024] Next, with reference to FIGS. 2 to 7, a fishing line guide 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described. FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a fishing line guide (without a guide ring) in an embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 3 is a longitudinal sectional view of the fishing line guide, and FIG. 4 is a perspective view of a fishing line guide (with a guide ring) in an embodiment of the present invention. Further, FIG. 5(a) is a view showing a part of the ring holding portion of the fishing line guide according to an embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 5(b) is an enlarged view of a part of the ring holding portion of the fishing line guide according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 5(c) is a sectional view taken along the Z-Z section of FIG. 5(a) of the ring holding portion of the fishing line guide according to an embodiment of the present invention. Furthermore, FIG. 6 is a view showing a gate mark of the guide body of the fishing line guide according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 7 is a view showing a contour shape defining a through hole of the guide body of the fishing line guide according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0025] As shown in FIG. 3, the fishing line guide 10 includes a guide body 11 and an annular guide ring 12 attached to the guide body 11. The guide body 11 includes a foot portion 13 attached to any one of the rod body 3, the rod body 5, or the rod body 7, and a plate-shaped ring holding portion 14 connected to the foot portion 13. As shown in FIG. 4, the annular guide ring 12 is usually fixed to the inner peripheral surface of the ring holding portion 14 via an adhesive (adhesive layer) 21. Note that the adhesive (adhesive layer) 21 is usually 0.1 mm or less, but for the sake of more clearly showing the appearance of the guide ring 12 and the ring holding portion 14, it should be noted that in FIGS. 3 and 4, the gap is shown enlarged for convenience. For the sake of convenience of explanation, in the following description, the case where the fishing line guide 10 is attached to the rod body 5 will be described as an example.

[0026] In one embodiment of the present invention, the foot portion 13 is an elongated plate-like or tongue-like member extending along the outer peripheral surface of the rod body 5. The foot portion 13 is wound around the rod body 5 by a winding thread formed of, for example, nylon fibers. FIG. 2 illustrates a single-foot type fishing line guide attached to the rod body by one foot portion, but the guide ring to which the present invention is applicable is not limited to this single-foot type. For example, the present invention is also applicable to a double-foot type guide ring. The double-foot type fishing line guide has a pair of foot portions extending forward and backward from the ring holding portion, respectively, and is fixed to the rod body by this pair of foot portions. Further, the present invention can be applied to either a fixed fishing line guide or a movable fishing line guide (sometimes called a floating guide).

[0027] In one embodiment of the present invention, the ring holding portion 14 extends from the upper end of the foot portion 13. The ring holding portion 14 is inclined upward from the rear to the front of the rod body 5. That is, when the guide 10 is attached to the rod body 5, the ring holding portion 14 takes a posture of falling forward of the rod body 5. As shown in the drawing, a through hole is formed in the ring holding portion 14 so as to generally penetrate in the front-rear direction of the rod body 5. This through hole is defined by the inner peripheral surface 14a of the ring holding portion 14. The guide ring 12 is fitted into this through hole. The ring holding portion 14 is generally a flat plate-like member, but the connection portion with the foot portion 13 is gently curved as shown in FIG. 3. That is, the ring holding portion 14 includes a generally flat flat portion in which a through hole into which the guide ring 12 is fitted is formed, and a gently curved curved portion connected to the foot portion 13. including a curved portion.

[0028] The foot portion 13 and the ring holding portion 14 of the fishing line guide 10 can be integrally formed by injection molding using metal or synthetic resin. Although details will be described later, during injection molding, gate marks are inevitably formed on the inner peripheral surface that forms the through hole of the ring holding portion 14. Conventionally, in order to fit the guide ring 12 into the ring holding portion 14, a process of first removing the gate marks was adopted. Here, the gate refers to the resin inlet (the entrance for filling the product portion in the mold with resin), and the gate mark refers to the remaining part (the cut end) of the gate portion remaining at the position where the gate was cut during the injection molding process. On the other hand, as shown as an example in FIG. 6, in the fishing line guide 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention, a structure has been found in which the guide ring 12 can be fitted into and adhesively fixed to the ring holding portion 14 without removing such gate marks. Details will be described later.

[0029] As described above, an annular guide ring 12 is fitted into the through hole of the ring holding portion 14. The guide ring 12 is usually in the shape of an ellipse, a perfect circle, or a substantially perfect circle, but is not limited thereto. As shown in FIG. 3, the guide ring 12 has a ring inner peripheral surface 12a that extends annularly in the circumferential direction of the guide ring 12 and a ring outer peripheral surface 12b that extends substantially parallel to this ring inner peripheral surface 12a. The guide ring 12 is made of, for example, ceramics, metal, alloy, or a composite material thereof. In the example of FIG. 3, the guide ring 12 is formed of a ceramic material. However, it should be noted that the cross-sectional shape of the guide ring 12 is not the same and may vary depending on the material used.

[0030] Next, with reference to FIGS. 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7 again, the details of the fishing line guide 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described. The fishing line guide 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention is attached to the fishing rod 1, and the fishing line guide 10 includes a guide body 11 in which a through hole is formed, a guide ring 12 fitted into the through hole of the guide body 11, and a gate mark 16 formed on an inner peripheral surface 15 that defines the through hole of the guide body 11 and formed so as to protrude into the through hole of the guide body 11 (in FIG. 6, one gate mark 16 is shown, but a plurality of gate marks 16 may be provided). When viewed in a direction perpendicular to the guide body 11, the contour shape (the contour shape of the inner peripheral surface 15) of the guide body 11 that defines the through hole is formed to include one or a plurality of convex portions 18 that bulge radially outward from a perfect circle (in the example shown in FIG. 5, one convex portion 18), and the gate mark 16 is disposed at a position on the inner peripheral surface 15 of the guide body 11 that defines the through hole where the one or a plurality of convex portions 18 of the through hole are formed.

[0031] The contour shape (the contour shape of the inner peripheral surface 15) that defines the through hole includes, for example, an oval (elliptical) shape, a shape in which one or a plurality of trapezoidal shapes (or a shape in which the corners of the trapezoid are rounded) are formed as convex portions on a perfect circle, a shape in which one or a plurality of circular shapes with a small diameter are formed as convex portions on a perfect circle, a shape in which one or a plurality of triangular shapes (or a shape in which the corners of the triangle are rounded) are formed as convex portions on a perfect circle, a shape in which one or a plurality of quadrilateral shapes (or a shape in which the corners of the quadrilateral are rounded) are formed as convex portions on a perfect circle, etc., but is not limited thereto. The contour shape 20 (the contour shape of the inner peripheral surface 15) that defines the through hole is composed of a perfect circle portion 17 and one or a plurality of convex portions (convex parts) 18. Here, the direction perpendicular to the guide body 11 refers to the direction (vertical axis X shown in FIG. 2) perpendicular to the extension surface of the ring holding portion 14 of the guide body 11. Also, the contour shape of the guide body 11 that defines the through hole refers to the contour shape that defines the through hole at the central position when viewed in the direction of the vertical axis X of the inner peripheral surface 15 of the guide body 11.

[0032] According to the fishing line guide 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention and a fishing rod provided with the fishing line guide, in the fishing line guide formed by injection molding, the guide ring can be attached to the guide body without removing the gate mark, and by eliminating the gate mark removal process, the conventional process can be effectively simplified and cost reduction can be achieved. Also, by utilizing the gate marks that were conventionally removed, it is possible to contribute to an improvement in the adhesive strength between the guide body and the guide ring. A fishing line guide and a fishing rod provided with the fishing line guide can be provided.

[0033] In the fishing line guide 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention, when a plurality of gate marks 16 are formed, one or a plurality of convex portions 18 are formed in accordance with the number 16 of the gate marks to be formed. In this way, by utilizing the space between the guide body and the guide ring, the gate marks 16 can be accommodated and made invisible from the outside. As a result, by eliminating the gate mark removal process, the conventional process can be effectively simplified and cost reduction can be achieved. In the fishing line guide 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention, when a plurality of gate marks 16 are formed, the gate marks 16 are formed, for example, at the 0 o'clock and 6 o'clock positions, the 0 o'clock, 4 o'clock, and 8 o'clock positions, or the 0 o'clock, 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock, and 9 o'clock positions, considering the positions shown by the gate marks 16 in FIGS. 5 and 6 as 0 o'clock in the same way as a clock.

[0034] As shown in FIG. 7, in the fishing line guide 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention, one or a plurality of convex portions 18 have a crescent shape (in the illustrated example, two convex portions each form a crescent shape). In this way, by utilizing the space between the guide body and the guide ring, the gate marks 16 can be accommodated and made invisible from the outside. As a result, by eliminating the gate mark removal process, the conventional process can be effectively simplified and cost reduction can be achieved. Additionally, in the fishing line guide 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention, one or a plurality of convex portions 18 may have, for example, a triangular shape, a quadrangular shape, a trapezoidal shape, or a circular shape.

[0035] As shown in Fig. 5(b), in the fishing line guide 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention, the gate mark 16 is formed such that the maximum height (D1) is in the range of 0.1 mm to 1.0 mm. The reason is that if the height of the gate mark is too small, it becomes difficult to exhibit the effect as an anchor. On the other hand, if the height of the gate mark is too large, the clearance between the ring and the frame becomes large, and the adhesive force decreases. In this way, by utilizing the space between the guide body and the guide ring, the gate mark 16 can be accommodated and made invisible from the outside.

[0036] As described above, Fig. 5(c) is a cross-sectional view of the ring holding portion 14 of the guide body 11 as seen in the Z-Z cross-section of Fig. 5(a). In the fishing line guide 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention, the gate mark 16, when viewed in the direction perpendicular to the guide body 11 (the direction of the vertical axis X in Fig. 2), is formed at a position that does not overlap with the central position of the inner peripheral surface 15 that defines the through-hole of the guide body 11 (the position shown in Fig. 5(c) and indicated as position AC in Fig. 5(c)) or the both-end positions of the inner peripheral surface (positions A1 and A2 in Fig. 5(c) are the both-end positions). In this way, when the ring is adhered, the gate mark does not appear on the surface, resulting in a beautiful appearance.

[0037] The maximum height (L1) and the maximum height (D1) are as shown in Fig. 5(b) and Fig. 7. In the fishing line guide 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention, the maximum height (L1) of one or more convex portions 18 is equal to or greater than the maximum height (D1) of the gate mark. Here, the maximum height (L1) of one or more convex portions 18 is formed, for example, in the range of 0.1 mm to 1.0 mm. In this way, by utilizing the space between the guide body and the guide ring, the gate mark 16 can be accommodated and made invisible from the outside. As a result, by eliminating the process of removing the gate mark, the conventional process can be effectively simplified and the cost can be reduced.

[0038] As shown in FIG. 3, in the fishing line guide 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention, the guide ring 12 is formed such that a gap is formed between its outer peripheral surface 12b and the inner peripheral surface 15 of the ring holding portion 14 of the guide body 11 (an adhesive (adhesive layer) 21 is inserted into the gap), and the gate mark 16 is formed between the outer peripheral surface 12b of the guide ring 12 and the inner peripheral surface 15 of the ring holding portion 14 of the guide body 11. In this way, by utilizing the space between the guide body and the guide ring, the gate mark 16 can be accommodated and made invisible from the outside. As a result, by eliminating the need for the gate mark removal process, the conventional process can be effectively simplified and cost reduction can be achieved.

[0039] The fishing line guide 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention further includes an adhesive disposed in the gap. In this way, the guide ring 12 can be adhesively fixed to the ring holding portion 14 of the guide body 11.

[0040] The fishing rod 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention is configured to include at least one of the above-described fishing line guides 10. According to the fishing rod 1 including the fishing line guide 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention, in the fishing line guide formed by injection molding, the guide ring can be attached to the guide body without removing the gate mark, and by eliminating the need for the gate mark removal process, the conventional process can be effectively simplified and cost reduction can be achieved. Also, by utilizing the gate mark that has been conventionally removed, it is possible to provide a fishing line guide that contributes to improving the adhesive strength between the guide body and the guide ring, and a fishing rod including the fishing line guide.

[0041] The dimensions, materials, and arrangements of the components described in this specification are not limited to those explicitly described in the embodiments, and each of these components can be modified to have any dimensions, materials, and arrangements that can be included in the scope of the present invention. Also, components not explicitly described in this specification can be added to the described embodiments, or some of the components described in each embodiment can be omitted.
