Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a diaper cover for pets for attaching an absorber that absorbs moisture such as urine to the vicinity of the urination part of pets such as dogs and cats.
Background Art
[0002] Dogs and cats kept as pets are often kept indoors. However, dogs that have not been potty-trained, old dogs, and old cats may urinate all over the room, making it difficult to clean up. Furthermore, in the case of dogs, especially male dogs, they may urinate many times, called marking, during walks outdoors and spray public places or the walls of private houses, which has become a problem of the owner's manners. In recent years, there are cafes and restaurants where dogs are allowed. However, in order to avoid urination inside the facilities and troubles between dogs, more and more facilities are imposing an obligation to wear disposable diapers for pets or diaper covers that place an absorber capable of absorbing urine and wrap it around the body and dress the pet.

Summary of the Invention
Problems to be Solved by the Invention
[0004] In the diaper cover for pets of Patent Document 1, in order to eliminate the gaps formed between the diaper cover and the left and right buttocks of the pet when the diaper sheet (absorbent body) is placed on the diaper wearing part (absorbent body holding part) and worn on the pet, a leak-proof part having elasticity is configured. However, it is a structure that fills the gap in order to keep the pet diaper sheet (absorbent body) in close contact with the body surface when worn, fully exhibit the absorbency of dirt, hold the dirt, and prevent it from leaking to the outside. However, depending on the movement of the dog, a gap may be formed. In addition, the absorbent body adheres closely to the pet, and when the pet moves, the absorbent body also moves inside the diaper cover. In some cases, the absorbent body may jump out of the diaper cover. If the end of the absorbent body jumps out of the absorbent body holding part, urine that has once been absorbed by the capillary phenomenon will ooze out from the protruding end of the absorbent body and leak to the outside. Also, if the end of the absorbent body is in close contact with the pet's skin surface inside the absorbent body holding part, urine that cannot be completely absorbed by the absorbent body may pass along the pet's skin surface and leak outside the absorbent body holding part.
Means for Solving the Problems
[0005] In order to solve the above-mentioned drawbacks, the pet diaper cover of the present invention is capable of holding an absorbent body that can absorb moisture and covering the pet's urination part, and has an absorbent body holding part having a longitudinal direction and a lateral direction, a body circumference wearing part that is continuously provided at both longitudinal ends of the absorbent body holding part for wearing the absorbent body holding part on the pet's body, In the pet diaper cover having the absorbent body holding part has a bottom part, a peripheral side part continuously provided to this bottom part, and a roof part continuously provided to the upper end side of the peripheral side part on the opposite side of the bottom part so as to be able to form a three-dimensional space capable of holding the absorbent body inside, the roof part is continuously provided over the entire longitudinal direction at least on both lateral sides in the lateral direction of the absorbent body holding part, and a roof space that is part of the three-dimensional space is formed between the roof part and the peripheral side part.
Effects of the Invention
[0006] When the absorber is placed on the absorber holding part of the diaper cover for pets of the present invention, the eaves part forms a three-dimensional space of the absorber holding part and does not bring the absorber into close contact with the skin surface of the pet, so that the movement of the pet prevents the absorber from shifting. Further, since both sides of the absorber (both sides of the absorber corresponding to both sides in the short side direction of the absorber holding part, that is, both sides of the absorber along the long side direction of the absorber holding part) are pressed by the eaves part, it is possible to suppress the absorber from climbing over the upper end of the peripheral side part of the absorber holding part and protruding. Further, even when the absorber moves within the absorber holding part, since the end part of the absorber enters the eaves space, it is possible to suppress the absorber from protruding as described above. Furthermore, even if the moisture oozing from the end part of the absorber when the absorber is in a saturated state spreads from the inside of the peripheral side part toward the opening part, since there is an eaves part, it is blocked from the skin surface of the dog, and it is possible to suppress the leakage to the outside of the absorber holding part.

Modes for Carrying Out the Invention
[0008] Hereinafter, the diaper cover for pets of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a first embodiment of a diaper cover (1). As shown in FIG. 1, the diaper cover (1) has an absorber holding part (2) that can hold an absorber (3) capable of absorbing moisture. The absorber holding part (2) has a size that can cover the urination part of the pet and has a shape with a longitudinal direction and a lateral direction. At both longitudinal ends of the absorber holding part (2) (referred to as absorber holding part longitudinal both ends (2a)), a body girth attachment part (4) for attaching the absorber holding part (2) to the body of the pet is continuously provided.
[0009] In the first embodiment of the present invention, the absorber holding part (2) is made of a waterproof cloth. As shown in FIG. 2, the absorber holding part (2) has a bottom part (5), a peripheral side part (6) continuously provided to this bottom part (5), and a pair of eaves parts (7) protruding in the lateral direction on the upper end side of the peripheral side part (6) on the side opposite to the bottom part (5) and inside the peripheral side part (6). The bottom part (5), the peripheral side part (6), and the pair of eaves parts (7) form a three-dimensional space (8) so as to surround the inside thereof. The inside of the pair of eaves parts (7) is an opening part (9) of the three-dimensional space (8). The absorber (3) can be taken in and out from the opening part (9) and can be easily held on the bottom part (5) side of the absorber holding part (2).
[0010] The eaves portion (7) is continuously provided over the entire longitudinal direction on both sides in the short side direction of at least the absorber holding portion (2) (this is referred to as the longitudinal eaves portion (7a)). The eaves portion longitudinal both ends (7c) that are the longitudinal both ends of the longitudinal eaves portion (7a) are continuously connected to the absorber holding portion longitudinal both ends (2a) without a gap or break so that urine does not leak. At this time, the eaves portion longitudinal both ends (7c) of the eaves portion (7) are continuously connected to the upper end side of the peripheral side portion (6) corresponding to the absorber holding portion longitudinal both ends (2a). The eaves portion (7) is a flexible material like cloth, but when the absorber holding portion (2) is attached to the pet while pulling the body circumference wearing portion (4), the eaves portion longitudinal both ends (7c) are pulled toward both ends sides with respect to each other, and an eaves space (10) can be formed between the eaves portion and the corresponding peripheral side portion (6). At this time, since the eaves portion (7) is being pulled, it does not turn up outward. Also, a short side eaves portion (7b) is formed along the short side direction. By overlapping both ends of the short side eaves portion (7b) on the upper surface of the eaves portion longitudinal both ends (7c) so as to cover them, the short side eaves portion (7b) can be formed to protrude toward the opening portion (9) side.
[0011] Figure 3 shows a cross-section in the short side direction of the absorber holding portion (2) with the absorber (3) held in the first embodiment. When the absorber holding portion (2) is placed on a horizontal plane with the bottom portion (5) facing downwards, an inner angle is formed by the longitudinal eaves portion (7a) and the peripheral side portion (6) continuously connected thereto, and an eaves space (10) that is a part of the three-dimensional space (8) is formed.
[0012] When placing a relatively large absorber (3) that is slightly wider than the bottom portion (5) of the absorber holding portion (2), even if a part of the absorber (3) rises along the peripheral side surface, the end portion of the absorber (3) is pressed by the longitudinal eaves portion (7a), so that the absorber (3) can be held without jumping out of the absorber holding portion (2).
[0013] At this time, if the inner angle of the under-eaves space (10) formed by the longitudinal eave part (7a) and the peripheral side part (6) is 0 degrees like a folded pocket (in this case, the under-eaves space (10) is in a state where it hardly exists), in order to insert the thick absorber (3) between the longitudinal eave part (7a) and the peripheral side part (6), it is possible to spread the space between the longitudinal eave part (7a) and the peripheral side part (6) by hand and insert the absorber (3). However, when the dog moves, once the absorber (3) comes out of the pocket, it will not return to the pocket, that is, between the eave part (7a) and the peripheral side part (6) as it was before.
[0014] However, in the absorber holding part (2) of the present embodiment, since the under-eaves space (10) is formed, even if the absorber (3) moves and comes off once, the absorber (3) will enter the under-eaves space (10) again and get caught by the eave part (7). Thus, the end part of the absorber (3) will not cross over the upper end of the peripheral side part (6), and it can be prevented from popping out. At this time, the inner angle of the under-eaves space (10) is preferably about 45 degrees to 90 degrees.
[0015] Also, it is more convenient if the width of the eave part (7a) is larger than the thickness of the absorber (3). Specifically, it is desirable to have a width of 1 cm or more. In this way, since the absorber (3) can be held while forming the three-dimensional space (8), it is possible to minimize the close contact between the pet's skin surface and the absorber (3). If they do not come into close contact during wearing, the moisture that could not be completely absorbed will not stick to the dog's skin surface, and it is possible to prevent the moisture from leaking out along the dog's skin surface.
[0016] FIG. 4 shows a longitudinal cross-section of the absorber holding part (2) holding the absorber (3) in the first embodiment. Similar to the short cross-section in paragraph 0011, an inner angle is formed by the short eave part (7b) and the peripheral side part (6) connected thereto, and the under-eaves space (10) is formed. Here, the protruding width of the short eave part (7b) is larger than the protruding width of the longitudinal eave part (7a). By doing so, the contact area between the dog's skin surface and the absorber (3) can be further reduced.
[0017] Even if the absorber (3) is equal to or smaller than the width of the bottom part (5) and is surrounded entirely by the peripheral side part (6), the absorber (3) can be held simply by being placed in the absorber holding part (2) without applying an adhesive or the like. Even if the absorber (3) moves within the absorber holding part (2) due to the movement of the pet, the eaves part (7) can prevent it from popping out. Therefore, since an adhesive or an engaging part is not essential for the absorber (3), the absorber (3) does not need to be a special product or a custom-made product according to the diaper cover. For example, pieces of cloth, tissues, water-absorbing sponges, etc. of various sizes can be used.
[0018] Depending on the absorber (3), some have a low water retention capacity, and water may accumulate in the absorber holding part (3). Normally, depending on the posture of the pet, the water dripping in the absorber holding part (3) would flow out from the peripheral side part (6), but the water that has flowed along is turned back by the eaves part (7), preventing it from leaking from the opening part (9).
[0019] In the first embodiment, the longitudinal eaves part (7a) protrudes from the upper end of the peripheral side part (6), and the eaves longitudinal end part (7c) is also continuously provided so as to protrude from the upper end of the peripheral side part (6). However, it may be formed to protrude from a position slightly below the upper end of the peripheral side part (6) so as to form a "T" shape (the peripheral side part represents the vertical bar of the "T", and the eaves part represents the horizontal bar), that is, from the upper end side. Also, in the first embodiment, the longitudinal eaves part (7a) protrudes only inward from the upper end of the peripheral side part (6), but it may also protrude outward so that the longitudinal eaves part (7a) becomes the horizontal bar of the "T" and the peripheral side part (6) becomes the vertical bar of the "T".
[0020] In the first embodiment, the peripheral side part (6) rises obliquely while curving slightly from the bottom part (5), but it may rise vertically with respect to the bottom part (5).
[0021] In the first embodiment, the eaves portion (7) is composed of a longitudinal eaves portion (7a) continuously provided along the longitudinal direction of the absorber holding portion (2) and a lateral eaves portion (7b) continuously provided along the lateral direction. However, a substantially square planar member capable of closing the upper end opening of the peripheral side portion (6) with a frame-shaped cutout in the center may be attached to the upper end side of the peripheral side portion (6).
[0022] In the first embodiment, the absorber holding portion (2) is made by sewing using a waterproof cloth, but it may be integrally formed using a flexible resin material (such as silicon). In that case, if it is a translucent resin material, it is possible to visually check whether the absorber (3) has absorbed urine while being worn, so it is easy to know when to replace. Also, not only the absorber holding portion (2), but also the body circumference wearing portion (4) may be formed of a resin material.
[0023] The absorber holding portion (2) is sized to cover the urination portion of the pet. However, as shown in FIG. 4, regarding the length in the longitudinal direction of the absorber holding portion (2), when worn on the pet, the upper ends of the peripheral side portions at both longitudinal ends (2a) of the absorber holding portion should be sized to be located below the lateral abdomen of the pet's body. That is, when the cross-section of the body is a circle, the upper ends of the respective peripheral side portions should be positioned to form a central angle of about 120 degrees or less. Further, as shown in FIG. 5, the upper ends of the peripheral side portions along the longitudinal direction should conform to the curved surface around the pet's body. By doing so, the reduction of the three-dimensional space (8) during wearing is alleviated. It is preferable to configure according to the size of the pet, such as large dogs, medium dogs, small dogs, etc.
[0024] The body circumference wearing portion (4) will be described by taking the first embodiment of FIGS. 1 to 5 as an example. The body circumference wearing portion (4) is for attaching the pet diaper cover (1) to the pet's body. Both ends of the body circumference wearing portion (4) are respectively continuously provided to both longitudinal ends (2a) of the absorber holding portion of the absorber holding portion (2). For this reason, the absorber holding portion (2) and the body circumference wearing portion (4) are configured to be able to be worn around the pet's body. The waist mounting part (4) is composed of a pair of waist mounting part attachment pieces (11) respectively connected to both longitudinal ends (2a) of the absorber holding part, a string-like band part (12) attached to each of the pair of waist mounting part attachment pieces (11), and a connector (13) connecting the respective band parts (12). One end of each waist mounting part attachment piece (11) is respectively connected to both longitudinal ends (2a) of the absorber holding part, and both ends of the string-like band part (12) are connected to the other end side facing each other. The band part (12) forms a loop as a whole. The connector (13) serves to connect the two loops formed by the string-like band part (12).
[0025] The connector (13) has a plurality of cut holes in a plate-like piece, and by hooking the loops of the band parts (12) on both sides into the cuts, it is worn around the waist of the pet. By providing a plurality of cut holes, the size can be adjusted according to the waist. The pair of band parts (12) are both string-like bodies forming an annular shape or a loop, and it is more preferable that they are made of a stretchable material.
[0026] The waist attachment piece (11) is a thin piece made of the same cloth as the absorber holding part (2), and is continuously provided at both longitudinal ends (2a) of the absorber holding part and at the upper end side of the circumferential side part (6) over the entire width in the short direction. Depending on the movement or body posture of the pet when wearing the diaper cover (1), such as when the pet lies down, the longitudinal ends (2a) of the absorber holding part may bend or approach in the short direction, creating a gap between the absorber holding part (2) and the body. Then, when there is moisture that the absorber (3) cannot completely absorb, it may flow out through the gap, which may reduce the urine leakage prevention effect of the diaper cover of this embodiment. To prevent this, the waist attachment piece (11) may be lengthened in the longitudinal direction so that it can be applied up to the lateral abdominal part of the pet, or a core material with shape recovery force or that is difficult to bend or approach may be inserted into the connecting part between the absorber holding part (2) and the waist attachment piece (11). Also, although the width of the opposite side of the connecting part of the waist attachment piece (11) is narrower than the width of the connecting part, it is preferable to appropriately change this width according to the size of the dog. Also, the attachment widths at both ends of the band part (12) may be adjusted according to the size of the dog or the connector (13).
[0027] As shown in FIG. 5, the waist attachment piece (11) is continuously provided at the upper end side of the circumferential side part (6) of both longitudinal ends (2a) of the absorber holding part, and the waist attachment piece (11), the eaves part (7), and the opening (9) are formed on substantially the same plane. Also, the bottom part (5) and the longitudinal eaves part (7a) are not horizontal, and it is preferable to bend them slightly along the longitudinal direction according to the roundness of the pet's body.
[0028] As shown in FIG. 6, an example of wearing the diaper cover (1) on a male dog will be described. The absorber (3) is set in the absorber holding part (2), the opening (10) is applied in alignment with the position of the urination part (14), and the pair of band parts (12) are connected and joined at the back with the connector (13) and wrapped around the dog's body for wearing. The absorber (3) is held within the absorber holding part (2), and since the position of the absorber holding part (2) can be visually observed, it can be easily worn at an appropriate position.
[0029] In the first embodiment, the portion that contacts the dog's skin surface during wearing is the upper surface side of the eaves portion (7), the upper surface side of the body circumference mounting portion attachment piece (11), the band portion (12), and the connector (13). Since these are continuously provided on the same surface, at least including the eaves portion (7), they closely adhere to the dog's skin surface without gaps. On the other hand, the peripheral side portion (6) and the bottom portion (5) of the absorber holding portion (2) are not subjected to the pulling force from the band portion (12). Therefore, the absorber holding portion (2) is not crushed, and the inside of the absorber holding portion (2), that is, the three-dimensional space (8) is maintained. Then, a space is also maintained around the urine discharging portion (14), and the wetting and steaming of the urine discharging portion (14) and the surrounding skin surface are reduced.
[0030] Furthermore, since the upper surface of the eaves portion (7) contacts the dog's skin surface with a width, due to the increased friction, the position of the absorber holding portion (2) is less likely to shift during wearing. Moreover, the pressure for tightening the body is dispersed, reducing the burden on the dog's skin. Also, both ends of the absorber (3) in the short side direction are prevented from directly touching the dog's skin by the longitudinal eaves portion (7a), and the displacement due to the friction caused by the close contact between the absorber (3) facing the opening portion (9) and the dog is reduced. Since the band portion (12) is a stretchable string-like shape, when the body circumference varies due to the individual differences or physical conditions of the dog, it can be tied to adjust the length. However, it is better to provide an adjuster (15) or the like so that the length of the band can be changed.
[0031] As shown in the second embodiment of FIG. 7, the body circumference mounting portion (4) is provided with a body circumference mounting attachment piece (11) and a band portion (12) that forms a ring and is continuously provided on one of the longitudinal both ends (2a) of the absorber holding portion. On the other side of the body circumference mounting portion attachment piece (11), a connector (13) that can hook and lock the ring-shaped band portion (12) may be provided. In the second embodiment, a connector (13) is formed with a hook-and-loop fastener, a button, or the like that can be detachably joined so that the state of folding one of the body circumference mounting portion attachment pieces (11) outward can be maintained. The ring of the band portion (12) is hooked on the connector (13) and locked in a sandwiching manner. Also, if an adjuster (15) is provided at this time, the length of the band portion (12) can be adjusted according to the dog's body circumference.
[0032] In the body circumference attachment parts (4) of the first embodiment and the second embodiment, a belt-shaped band part formed into a loop is used. However, for example, in the first embodiment, instead of a pair of belt-shaped band parts, two body circumference attachment part mounting pieces (11) are each extended in their original widths so as to go around half of the pet's body, and connectors are provided at the extended ends of the body circumference attachment part mounting pieces (11). When connected, they may be formed into a belly band. Similarly, in the second embodiment, instead of the belt-shaped band part on one side, the body circumference attachment part mounting piece (11) may be extended in its original width so as to go around the pet's body once, and the extended end may be connected to a connector provided on the other side of the absorbent body holding part (2).
[0033] The third embodiment shown in FIG. 8 has a shape mainly for use with female dogs. A band part (12) is provided on one body circumference attachment part mounting piece (11) at both longitudinal ends (2a) of the absorbent body holding part, in the same manner as in the second embodiment. The other body circumference attachment part mounting piece (11) is in a T shape, and connectors (13) that can be attached and detached with a hook-and-loop fastener or the like when folded at two positions on both end sides are provided. The urination part (14) of a female dog is between the hind legs. Therefore, it cannot be wound around the body like a male dog. When attaching to a female dog, place the absorbent body holding part (2) between the hind legs, cross the band part (12) once over the tail, and connect and link them to the respective connectors (13). By making the body circumference attachment tool mounting piece (11), the connector (13) continuously provided therewith, and a part of the band part (12) go around the body once, the band part (12) is less likely to slip off, and it can be effectively attached. Also, when the absorbent body holding part (2) is attached so as to hit the position under the tail, it can be used as a diaper for defecation for both male and female dogs. Also, it can be applied to other pets such as cats and rabbits.
[0034] FIG. 9 illustrates an example of using a thin absorbent sheet in the first embodiment. When it is difficult to obtain a commercially available absorbent body to be placed on the diaper cover depending on the size of the dog, even if the thin absorbent sheet (16) is folded in a bellows shape and inserted, the end of the water-absorbing sheet (16) is pressed against the eaves portion (7), so that it can be held in the absorbent body holding portion (2) without protruding.
[0035] The absorbent body (3) placed on the absorbent body holding portion (2) may be a disposable one provided with a polymer absorbent material capable of retaining moisture inside the non-woven fabric, or if a cloth or sponge with water retention ability is used, it can be washed and used repeatedly.
