[0009] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. Figures 1 to 7 show one embodiment of a simple building of the present invention. This simple building is applied to a carport for two passenger cars to be installed on the site of a house, and as shown in Figures 1 to 4, two gate-shaped frames are provided at a distance in the front-to-back direction, with beams 4 erected on the tops of left and right pillars 5, 5, and a roof 1 is supported across the front and rear beams 4, 4. As shown in Figure 3, the roof 1 is inclined downward by 2° so that the front side is lower.

[0010] As shown in Figure 7, the pillars 5 are made of extruded aluminum alloy material and are hollow and have a roughly rectangular cross section. Of the four pillars, the front left pillar 5 has a vertical gutter 6 attached to its front surface, as shown in Figures 1 and 7. The vertical gutter 6 is made of extruded aluminum alloy material and has a roughly U-shaped cross section, with its left and right side surfaces flush with and continuous with those of the pillars 5, and is engaged with and attached to a receiving part 12 attached to the front surface of the pillar 5. As shown in Fig. 6, the beam 4 is formed from an aluminum alloy extrusion into a hollow shape with a roughly rectangular cross section, and both longitudinal ends are connected to the upper ends of the columns 5 by column-beam connecting fittings 13 for support. As shown in Fig. 5, both longitudinal ends of the beam 4 protrude laterally beyond the roof 1.

[0011] As shown in Figures 1, 2, and 4, the roof 1 is made up of a large number of roofing materials 8, 8, ... made of extruded aluminum alloy profiles that are long in the front-to-back direction and have a constant width, lined up under the beams 4 in the longitudinal direction of the beams 4. A horizontal gutter 3 is attached to the end of the roof 1 on the belowwater side (front side), a rear frame 14 is attached to the end of the roof 1 on the abovewater side (rear side), and side frames 15 are attached to the ends on both the left and right sides of the roof 1. As shown in Figure 5, each roofing material 8 has an upper wall 16, a lower wall 17, and left and right connecting walls 18, 18 connecting the upper wall 16 and the lower wall 17, and has a hollow portion 19. By arranging a large number of these in a row, a flat roof surface is formed by the upper walls 16, and a flat ceiling surface is formed by the lower walls 17. In other words, the roofing material 8 also serves as a ceiling material. The roofing material 8 is 40 mm thick.

[0012] As shown in Figures 4, 5 and 6, each roofing material 8 is attached to the underside of the beam 4 via roofing material support brackets 7 attached to the beams 4, with a gap 20 between them. As shown in Figures 4 and 5, the roofing material support brackets 7 are divided into multiple pieces in the longitudinal direction of the beams 4, and are attached to the beams 4 at intervals along the longitudinal direction of the beams 4 to form water passage sections 9. Therefore, rainwater that falls on the roof 1 flows down from the above-water side to the below-water side through the water passage sections 9. 5 and 6, the roof material support fitting 7 has a visible wall 21 that abuts against the front surface of the beam 4, a support piece 22 that protrudes forward from the lower end of the visible wall 21, and a hidden wall 23 that faces the underside of the beam 4. The roof material support fitting 7 is positioned in the front-to-back and up-down directions and attached by abutting the visible wall 21 against the front surface of the beam 4 and fixing it from the front with screws 24, and abutting the hidden wall 23 against the underside of the beam 4 and fixing it from below with bolts 25. The roof material 8 is pulled and fixed to the support piece 22 by bolts 26 from above.

[0013] With the exception of end roofing material 8d (see Figure 5) located at the left end of roof 1, each roofing material 8 has a backing plate 27 attached to the underside of upper wall 16 at a position adjacent to the left side of connecting wall 18 on the left side, as shown in Figures 5 and 6. The roofing materials 8, 8, ... are attached in order from the left side after end roofing material 8d is attached with roofing material support bracket 7, and as shown in Figure 5, the left edge of upper wall 16 is placed on top of overlapping piece 28 of the previously attached roofing material 8 and fastened with screw 29 from above, and then bolt 26 inserted through support piece 22 of roofing material support bracket 7 at a position adjacent to it on the right side is screwed into backing plate 27, thereby fixing and attaching it to support piece 22 of roofing material support bracket 7. As shown in Figure 5, except for the narrow roof material support bracket 7 attached to the left end of the beam 4, three roof materials 8 (8a, 8b, 8c) are attached to each roof material support bracket 7, and the edge of the roof material 8c supported by one roof material support bracket 7 and the edge of the roof material 8a supported by the adjacent roof material support bracket 7 are overlapped with each other as described above and connected by screws from above.

[0014] The roof materials 8, 8, ... can be attached by first attaching the roof material support brackets 7, 7, ... to the beams 4, and then attaching the roof materials 8, 8, ... one by one starting from the left side. Alternatively, three connected roof materials 8a, 8b, 8c with roof material support brackets 7 attached can be made into a single unit, and these can be attached in a line along the length of the beams 4. Also, roof material support brackets 7, 7, . . . can be attached to the beams 4, and three roof materials 8a, 8b, 8c can be attached to the roof material support brackets 7 in a connected state. Also, the roof materials 8, 8, ... can be attached in order from the right side.

[0015] The gutter 3 is formed from an extruded aluminum alloy profile, and as shown in Figure 6, has a roof material mounting portion 30 with a roughly U-shaped cross section that is open at the rear, and a gutter portion 10 with a roughly U-shaped cross section that is open at the top. The gutter 3 is attached by fitting the roof material mounting portion 30 onto the front ends of the roof materials 8, 8, ... from the front, and fixing it in place with screws 31 (see Figure 8) from above. The lower wall 32 of the gutter 3 is roughly flush with the lower wall 17 of the roofing materials 8, 8, ..., and, like the lower wall 17 of the roofing materials 8, 8, ..., is inclined downward by 2° so that the front side is lower. The horizontal gutter 3 has a visible dimension A of 50 mm, and is arranged so that it protrudes only about 5 mm above and below the top and bottom surfaces of the roofing materials 8, 8, .... This allows the horizontal gutter 3 to be integrated with the roofing materials 8, 8, ... and not stand out. The rear frame 14 and side frames 15 also have a visible dimension of 50 mm, like the horizontal gutter 3, and are integrated with the roofing materials 8, 8, ... and not stand out. The gutter 3 has the bottom wall 33 of the gutter section 10 located above the lower wall 32, so that the gutter section 10 is located inside the gutter 3. The bottom wall 33 of the gutter section 10 is inclined in the opposite direction to the lower wall 32, that is, inclined downward by 2° so that the rear side is lower. A hollow section 34 is formed between the lower wall 32 of the gutter 3 and the bottom wall 33 of the gutter section 10.

[0016] As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the left end of the horizontal gutter 3 protrudes laterally beyond the roof 1, and a drainage hole 11 (see Figure 6) is provided in the side wall 35 of the gutter section 10 on the roof 1 side of the protruding part to allow rainwater that accumulates in the gutter section 10 to flow toward the roof 1. The bottom wall 33 of the gutter section 10 is sloped so that the rear side is lower, so that all rainwater that accumulates in the gutter section 10 can be drained through the drainage hole 11. A water collector 36 is attached to the rear side of the drainage hole 11. A water stop block 37 is attached to the longitudinal end of the gutter section 10, as shown in Figure 8(a).

[0017] As shown in Figures 1, 2 and 6, this simple building has one end of an auxiliary gutter 2 connected to the end of a horizontal gutter 3 that protrudes laterally from the roof 1, and the other end of the auxiliary gutter 2 connected to the top of a vertical gutter 6 installed along a pillar 5, so that rainwater from the roof 1 is drained through the gutter section 10 of the horizontal gutter 3, the auxiliary gutter 2 and the vertical gutter 6 (the arrows in Figures 1 and 6 indicate the flow of rainwater).

[0018] As shown in Figures 5 and 8, the auxiliary gutter 2 is composed of a cylindrical auxiliary gutter body 38 with a roughly rectangular cross section formed from an extruded aluminum alloy profile, and an auxiliary gutter cover 39 that covers the outer periphery of the auxiliary gutter body 38, and is provided with an inclination that prevents rainwater from accumulating, as shown in Figure 6. In the example shown, the auxiliary gutter 2 is inclined downward by 2° so that the rear side is lower. The front end of the auxiliary gutter body 38 is fitted into the water collector 36 attached to the rear of the drainage hole 11 of the horizontal gutter 3 and fixed from above with a screw 40, and the rear end is inserted into the vertical gutter 6 through a notch 41 (see Figure 5) provided in the vertical gutter 6. A drainage part 42 is attached to the underside of the rear end of the auxiliary gutter body 38 inserted into the vertical gutter 6. The auxiliary gutter 2 has the same visible dimension as the horizontal gutter 3, specifically 50 mm, so that the auxiliary gutter 2 and the horizontal gutter 3 are integrated and continuous without being noticeable (see Figure 1 and Figure 8(c)).

[0019] The following describes the procedure for attaching the auxiliary gutter 2. First, as shown in FIG. 8(a), the water collector 36 is attached to the rear side of the drainage hole 11 of the horizontal gutter 3. Next, as shown in Figure 8(b), one end of the auxiliary gutter body 38 is connected to the end of the horizontal gutter 3 to which the water collector 36 is attached, protruding from the roof 1, and the other end of the auxiliary gutter body 38 is inserted into the notch 41 in the vertical gutter 6 provided along the pillar 5, thereby connecting the horizontal gutter 3 and the vertical gutter 6 with the auxiliary gutter body 38. Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 8(c), an auxiliary gutter cover 39 is attached to the auxiliary gutter body .

[0020] In the above-described embodiment, the auxiliary gutter 2 extends rearward from the rear surface of the protruding portion of the horizontal gutter 3, but it can also be arranged to extend rearward from the side of the protruding portion of the horizontal gutter 3.

[0021] Conventional carport gutters have horizontal gutters that protrude below the roof material, drainage holes on the underside of the horizontal gutters, drain elbows attached, and a lead gutter connecting the drain elbow to the top of a vertical gutter installed along the pillar. As a result, gutters have many parts, making installation time-consuming, and the gutters are exposed away from the roof, which makes them less aesthetically pleasing. In contrast, in this simple building, as described above, the longitudinal ends of the horizontal gutters 3 attached to the front ends of the roof materials 8, 8, ... are made to protrude laterally from the roof 1, and auxiliary gutters 2 are connected to the rear sides of the protruding parts, so that rainwater flows via the auxiliary gutters 2 into the vertical gutters 6 provided along the pillars 5 (see Figures 1 and 6).As a result, it is only necessary to connect the horizontal gutters 3 and vertical gutters 6 with the auxiliary gutters 2, which simplifies the construction of the gutters and improves workability. Furthermore, the horizontal gutters 3 are arranged so that they only slightly extend beyond the top and bottom surfaces of the roof materials 8, 8, ..., and the auxiliary gutters 2 are arranged at a gentle slope (2°) that prevents rainwater from accumulating, so that the horizontal gutters 3 are integrated with the roof 1 and are not noticeable, and the auxiliary gutters 2 do not protrude far below the roof 1, and when viewed from below the roof 1, the auxiliary gutters 2 are mostly hidden by the roof 1 (see Figures 1, 3, 6), so the gutters are not as noticeable as they are on conventional carports, and the design is also improved.

[0022] Figure 9 shows another embodiment of the horizontal gutter 3. In the horizontal gutter 3, the bottom wall 33 of the gutter section 10 also serves as the lower wall of the horizontal gutter 3, and the horizontal gutter 3 has a shape that does not have a hollow section 34. The bottom wall 33 of the gutter section 10 is inclined so that the rear side is lower, similar to the horizontal gutter 3 in Figure 6 described above. The horizontal gutter 3 of this embodiment does not have a hollow portion 34, and therefore can be easily extruded.

[0023] Figure 10 shows yet another embodiment of the horizontal gutter 3. The horizontal gutter 3 has a shape in which the bottom wall 33 of the gutter section 10 also serves as the lower wall of the horizontal gutter 3, and does not have a hollow section 34. The bottom wall 33 of the gutter section 10 is substantially flush with the lower walls 17 of the roof materials 8, 8, ... and is inclined downward by 2° so that the front side is lower. The horizontal gutter 3 of this embodiment does not have a hollow portion 34, making it easy to extrude, and the bottom wall 33 of the gutter portion 10 is approximately flush with the lower wall 17 of the roof materials 8, 8, ..., thereby improving the design. Since the bottom wall 33 of the gutter section 10 is slightly inclined downwards towards the front, a small amount of rainwater remains at the front of the gutter section 10, but this rainwater will evaporate naturally some time after the rain has stopped.

[0024] As described above, this simple building comprises a roof 1 and an auxiliary gutter 2, the roof 1 being inclined so that one side in the front-to-back direction is lower, and having a horizontal gutter 3 at one end, the horizontal gutter 3 protruding laterally beyond the roof 1, and the auxiliary gutter 2 extending from the protruding end of the horizontal gutter 3 to the other side in the front-to-back direction (see Figure 1), thereby simplifying the construction of the rain gutters and improving workability. Furthermore, this simple building is equipped with beams 4 that support the roof 1, and the beams 4 extend out to the side of the roof 1 with their ends supported by pillars 5. The auxiliary gutter 2 connects the protruding end of the horizontal gutter 3 to the upper part of the vertical gutter 6 provided along the pillar 5 (see Figure 1), which further simplifies the installation of the rain gutters and further improves workability. The horizontal gutter 3 and the auxiliary gutter 2 are both formed from shaped members, so that the horizontal gutter 3 and the auxiliary gutter 2 can be made lighter while still having sufficient strength, and can easily accommodate changes in length. The auxiliary gutter 2 extends from the other side of the protruding part of the horizontal gutter 3 or from the side of the horizontal gutter 3 to the other side (see Figure 1), so that the auxiliary gutter 2 does not protrude from the underside of the horizontal gutter 3, making the auxiliary gutter 2 less noticeable. In this simple building, the visible dimensions of the horizontal gutter 3 and the auxiliary gutter 2 are approximately the same, so the horizontal gutter 3 and the auxiliary gutter 2 are integrated and continuous so as not to stand out (see Figure 1), thereby improving the design. The auxiliary gutter 2 is sloped to prevent rainwater from accumulating (see Figure 6), so that the auxiliary gutter 2 does not protrude too far below the roof 1, making the auxiliary gutter 2 less noticeable.

[0025] This simple building comprises beams 4, a roof 1, and roofing material support fittings 7. The roof 1 has roofing materials 8, 8, ... made of shaped members arranged under the beams 4 in the longitudinal direction of the beams 4, with the roof 1 slanted so that one side in the front-to-back direction is lower. The roofing material support fittings 7 are divided into multiple pieces and attached to the beams 4 at intervals along the length of the beams 4 to form water passage sections 9. Each roofing material 8, 8, ... is supported by each roofing material support fitting 7 with a gap 20 between it and the underside of the beams 4 (see Figure 5), which makes roof construction easy and improves workability. Furthermore, the water passage sections 9 of the roofing material support fittings 7 and the gaps 20 between the underside of the beams 4 and the roofing materials 8, 8, ... allow rainwater from the roof 1 to flow smoothly down to the water below. In this simple building, the edge of the roof material 8c supported by one roof material support bracket 7 is connected to the edge of the roof material 8a supported by another roof material support bracket 7 (see Figure 5), which simplifies the construction of the roof 1 while maintaining the waterproofing properties of the roof 1. In this simple building, multiple roof materials 8a, 8b, and 8c are fixed to a roof material support bracket 7, and the roof materials 8a, 8b, and 8c have connecting parts that connect the edges of adjacent roof materials 8a, 8b, and 8c in addition to the fixing parts of the roof material support bracket 7 (see Figure 5), making it easy to install the roof material support bracket 7 and attach the roof materials 8a, 8b, and 8c, further improving workability. The roof material support bracket 7 has support pieces 22 that support the roof materials 8, 8, ... and a facing wall 21 that abuts and is fixed to the facing surface of the beam 4, so it can be installed either in one of two ways: by attaching the roof material support bracket 7 to the beam 4 and then attaching the roof materials 8, 8, ... to the roof material support bracket 7, or by attaching the roof material support bracket 7 to the roof materials 8, 8, ... and then attaching the roof material support bracket 7 to the beam 4, making it easy to install.

[0026] This simple building is equipped with a horizontal gutter 3, which is provided at the underwater end of the roof 1 and has a gutter section 10, and the roof-side wall 35 of the gutter section 10 has drainage holes 11 for draining rainwater that accumulates in the gutter section 10 toward the roof 1 (see Figures 6, 9, and 10), making it easy to install the gutter and improving workability. Furthermore, if the bottom wall 33 of the gutter section 10 is sloped so that the roof 1 side is lower (see Figures 6 and 9), all of the rainwater that accumulates in the gutter section 10 can be drained through the drainage holes 11. By providing the gutter portion 10 inside the horizontal gutter 3 (see FIG. 6), the lower surface of the horizontal gutter 3 can be made substantially flush with the lower surfaces of the roof materials 8, 8, . . . , improving the design.

[0027] The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments. The cross-sectional shape and materials of the horizontal gutter and auxiliary gutter can be modified as needed. The structure of the connection between the horizontal gutter and auxiliary gutter can be modified as needed. For example, a corner piece can be attached to the longitudinal end of the horizontal gutter, and one end of the auxiliary gutter can be connected to the side of the corner piece. The roof structure is arbitrary and is not limited to those using shaped roofing materials, but can also be those using resin roof panels or folded plate roofs. The beams can be cantilevered from the columns. The present invention is not limited to carports, but can be applied to any simple building with a roof, such as a cycle port, a walkway shelter, or a terrace roof. [Explanation of symbols]
