Abstract
Description
[Technical Field]
[0001] The present invention relates to an emulsion-type hair cleanser and a method for using the same. [Background technology]
[0002] BACKGROUND ART Hair cleansing agents such as shampoos have been used to remove dirt such as sebum adhering to the scalp and hair. Although conventional hair cleansers can remove dirt, they tend to make hair lose its smoothness, making it feel dry and rough, making it difficult to run your fingers through and feel. They also have the problem of hair becoming tangled and prone to breakage and split ends. Furthermore, conventional hair cleansers tend to remove excessive sebum along with dirt, which can cause the scalp to dry out.
[0003] To address these problems, it has become common practice to use hair cosmetics such as rinses or treatments that have a conditioning effect to improve the texture of hair after using a hair wash.
[0004] In recent years, new technologies have been developed that can simultaneously remove dirt from hair and condition the hair. For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a hair wash composition containing a specific ester oil, a cationic surfactant, and a higher alcohol having 14 to 22 carbon atoms that is solid at 25°C.
[0005] Patent Document 2 discloses a composition for washing and conditioning hair, which contains an ester oil that is liquid at 20°C, a specific fatty acid amidoamine and / or a quaternary ammonium salt, and a refreshing agent, and is substantially free of anionic surfactants, amphoteric surfactants, and silicones. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0006] [Patent Document 1] Japanese Patent Publication No. 2022-076756 [Patent Document 2] Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2017-197467 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0007] The technologies of Patent Documents 1 and 2 cleanse the scalp and hair with oily ingredients such as ester oil, which prevents excessive removal of sebum and makes the scalp less likely to dry out. However, because they do not contain cleansing ingredients such as anionic surfactants or amphoteric surfactants, the cleansing power is insufficient, causing the scalp to feel sticky.
[0008] Furthermore, with the techniques of Patent Documents 1 and 2, the finished hair loses its smoothness, lacks moisture and hydration, and is not of a satisfactory quality when it comes to running one's fingers through it. The present inventors attempted to create a hair cleanser that contained an emulsified amphoteric surfactant in order to increase cleansing power, reduce scalp stickiness, and improve hair texture, but found it difficult to achieve both increased cleansing power and agent stability.
[0009] Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide an emulsified hair wash that has an appropriate cleansing power to suppress stickiness on the scalp after washing, has high agent stability, and leaves the finished hair easy to run your fingers through, moisturized, manageable, smooth, and soft, and is gentle on the skin. [Means for solving the problem]
[0010] The present inventors have conducted extensive research to solve the above problems, and as a result have found that an emulsion-type hair cleanser having the following composition can solve the above problems, thereby completing the present invention. [0026] The present invention can provide an emulsion-type hair wash that has an appropriate cleansing power to suppress stickiness of the scalp after washing, has high agent stability, and leaves the finished hair excellent in combability, moist feeling, moisture, manageability, smoothness, and softness, and is less irritating to the skin. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0027] Next, the emulsion-type hair cleanser of the present invention will be specifically described. <Emulsion-type hair cleanser> The emulsion-type hair wash of the present invention contains 0.1 to 10 mass % of a guanidino group-containing amphoteric surfactant (A) and 0.1 to 10 mass % of a methosulfate-type quaternary ammonium salt (B).
[0028] The emulsion-type hair cleanser of the present invention is preferably an oil-in-water (also referred to as O / W) emulsion-type hair cleanser. In the present invention, the term "appropriate cleansing power" refers to a cleansing power that can remove sebum and prevent the scalp from becoming sticky.
[0029] <Amphoteric surfactant having a guanidino group (A)> In the present invention, the amphoteric surfactant having a guanidino group refers to an amphoteric surfactant having a guanidino group represented by H2N-(C=NH)-NH- in the molecule.
[0030] In the present invention, the amphoteric surfactant (A) having a guanidino group is also referred to simply as component (A). The emulsion-type hair cleanser of the present invention contains 0.1 to 10% by mass, preferably 0.5 to 5.0% by mass, and more preferably 1 to 2.5% by mass of component (A).
[0031] When the component (A) is within the above range, the finished hair is excellent in manageability and moisture. If the amount of component (A) is less than the lower limit, the hair compatibility, cleansing power, moisturizing effect after washing and finish, and manageability of the finish tend to be poor. If the amount of component (A) is more than the upper limit, the skin irritation tends to be strong and the formulation stability tends to be impaired.
[0032] As component (A), an amino acid-based amphoteric surfactant having a guanidino group is preferred, and examples thereof include alkyloxyhydroxypropyl arginine salts and lauroyl arginine.
[0033] Component (A) is preferably at least one selected from the group consisting of alkyloxyhydroxypropyl arginine salts and lauroyl arginine, and more preferably an alkyloxyhydroxypropyl arginine salt.
[0034] The alkyl group of the alkyloxyhydroxypropyl arginine salt preferably has 10 to 20 carbon atoms, and more preferably 12 to 14 carbon atoms. Examples of alkyloxyhydroxypropylarginine salts include mineral acid salts such as hydrochloride, sulfate, nitrate, and phosphate; organic acid salts such as citrate, oxalate, and tartrate; ammonium salt; and organic ammonium salt. Among these, hydrochloride, sulfate, nitrate, and phosphate are preferred, and hydrochloride is more preferred.
[0035] From the viewpoint of excellent cleansing power, moisturizing effect after washing, moisturizing finish, and manageability, the alkyloxyhydroxypropyl arginine salt is preferably an N-[3-alkyl(12,14)oxy-2-hydroxypropyl]-L-arginine salt, and more preferably N-[3-alkyl(12,14)oxy-2-hydroxypropyl]-L-arginine hydrochloride.
[0036] Examples of lauroyl arginine include N-lauroyl-L-arginine, and N-lauroyl-L-arginine is preferred from the viewpoint of being particularly excellent in cleansing power, moisturizing effect after washing, and moisturizing and manageable finish. The component (A) may be used alone or in combination of two or more.
[0037] <Methosulfate-type quaternary ammonium salt (B)> In the present invention, the methosulfate-type quaternary ammonium salt is a quaternary ammonium salt whose anion is a methosulfate ion (CH3SO4 - ) Component (B) is a type of cationic surfactant.
[0038] In the present invention, the methosulfate-type quaternary ammonium salt (B) is also simply referred to as component (B). The emulsion-type hair cleanser of the present invention contains 0.1 to 10% by mass, preferably 1 to 5.0% by mass, and more preferably 1.5 to 2.5% by mass of component (B).
[0039] When the amount of component (B) is within the above range, the finished hair is excellent in manageability and moisture. If the amount of component (B) is less than the lower limit, the hair compatibility, cleansing power, moisturizing effect after washing and finish, and manageability of the finish tend to be poor. If the amount of component (B) is more than the upper limit, the hair compatibility tends to be poor, skin irritation tends to be strong, and the formulation stability tends to be impaired.
[0040] Examples of component (B) include lauryltrimonium methosulfate, cetrimonium methosulfate, steartrimonium methosulfate, behentrimonium methosulfate, and dicocoyl ethylhydroxyethylmonium methosulfate.
[0041] Among these, from the viewpoint of achieving excellent moisturizing and manageability in the finished hair, it is preferable that component (B) be at least one selected from the group consisting of lauryltrimonium methosulfate, cetrimonium methosulfate, steartrimonium methosulfate, behentrimonium methosulfate, and dicocoyl ethylhydroxyethylmonium methosulfate, and since it is particularly excellent in achieving moisturizing and manageability in the finished hair, it is more preferable that component (B) be at least one selected from the group consisting of cetrimonium methosulfate, steartrimonium methosulfate, and behentrimonium methosulfate, and from the viewpoint of achieving especially excellent moisturizing and manageability in the finished hair, behentrimonium methosulfate is even more preferable.
[0042] The component (B) may be used alone or in combination of two or more. In the emulsion-type hair wash of the present invention, the mass ratio (A / B) of the guanidino group-containing amphoteric surfactant (A) to the methosulfate-type quaternary ammonium salt (B) is preferably 0.05 to 30, more preferably 0.3 to 10, and even more preferably 0.4 to 5.
[0043] It is preferable that the mass ratio of component (A) to component (B) is within the above range, since separation or aggregation does not occur during storage and the formulation stability is excellent.
[0044] <Higher alcohol (C)> In the present invention, the higher alcohol (C) may also be simply referred to as component (C). The emulsion-type hair wash of the present invention contains the higher alcohol (C) in an amount of preferably 4.0 to 12.0% by mass, more preferably 5.0 to 9.0% by mass, and even more preferably 6.0 to 9.0% by mass.
[0045] If the content of the higher alcohol (C) is within the above range, the formulation stability and the affinity to the hair upon application tend to be excellent, and this is preferable. The higher alcohol (C) is preferably a monohydric higher alcohol having a linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl group having 14 to 24 carbon atoms.
[0046] Component (C) is more preferably a monohydric higher alcohol having a linear alkyl group, as this provides high formulation stability. Component (C) preferably has 14 to 22 carbon atoms, and more preferably 16 to 18 carbon atoms.
[0047] Component (C) may be a saturated or unsaturated alcohol, but saturated alcohols are preferred because they provide high formulation stability. Examples of component (C) include cetostearyl alcohol, myristyl alcohol, cetanol, stearyl alcohol, arachyl alcohol, behenyl alcohol, and oleyl alcohol.
[0048] Among these, from the viewpoint of excellent formulation stability, component (C) is preferably at least one selected from the group consisting of myristyl alcohol, cetanol, cetostearyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, and behenyl alcohol, and cetanol and cetostearyl alcohol are more preferred, with cetostearyl alcohol being even more preferred, as they provide particularly excellent formulation stability.
[0049] The component (C) may be used alone or in combination of two or more. In the emulsion-type hair wash of the present invention, the mass ratio ((A+B) / C) of the total mass of the guanidino group-containing amphoteric surfactant (A) and the methosulfate-type quaternary ammonium salt (B) to the higher alcohol (C) is preferably 0.1 to 3.0, more preferably 0.2 to 2.5, and even more preferably 0.25 to 1.0.
[0050] It is preferable that the mass ratio ((A+B) / C) of component (A) and component (B) to component (C) is within the above range, since this results in excellent formulation stability. The present inventors attempted to create an emulsion-type hair cleanser with high cleansing power by blending a higher alcohol with an amphoteric surfactant and a cationic surfactant that do not fall under the category of component (A) and component (B) of the present invention, but found it difficult to achieve both high cleansing power and stability of the agent.
[0051] However, the present inventors have discovered that by blending specific amounts of the guanidino group-containing amphoteric surfactant (A) and methosulfate-type quaternary ammonium salt (B) as defined in the present invention, the agent remains stable and does not separate even when a specific amount of the optional higher alcohol (C) is blended.
[0052] <Nonionic surfactant (D)> In the present invention, the nonionic surfactant (D) may also be simply referred to as component (D). The emulsion-type hair wash of the present invention contains the nonionic surfactant (D) in an amount of preferably 0.01 to 6.0% by mass, more preferably 0.08 to 4.0% by mass, and even more preferably 0.1 to 1.0% by mass.
[0053] It is preferable that the content of the nonionic surfactant (D) is within the above range, since the cleaning power is excellent, the stickiness is low, the viscosity is appropriate, and the emulsion tends to be easily emulsified. Examples of the nonionic surfactant (D) include ethylene oxide condensation type nonionic surfactants such as polyoxyethylene alkyl ethers, polyoxyethylene steryl ethers, polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene alkyl ethers, polyoxyethylene fatty acid esters, and polyoxyethylene polyhydric alcohol fatty acid esters; polyhydric alcohol ester type nonionic surfactants such as glycerin fatty acid esters, sorbitan fatty acid esters, and sucrose fatty acid esters; and polyhydric alcohol condensation type nonionic surfactants such as alkyl glycosides. Among these, ethylene oxide condensation type nonionic surfactants are preferred.
[0054] The nonionic surfactant (D) is preferably at least one selected from the group consisting of polyoxyethylene alkyl ethers, polyoxyethylene steryl ethers, polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene alkyl ethers, polyoxyethylene fatty acid esters, polyoxyethylene polyhydric alcohol fatty acid esters, glycerin fatty acid esters, sorbitan fatty acid esters, sucrose fatty acid esters, and alkyl glycosides, and among these, polyoxyethylene polyhydric alcohol fatty acid esters are more preferred from the viewpoint of excellent detergency.
[0055] Specific examples of polyoxyethylene polyhydric alcohol fatty acid esters include PEG-7 glyceryl coconut oil fatty acid, PEG-20 glyceryl stearate, PEG-20 glyceryl isostearate, PEG-20 glyceryl triisostearate, sorbeth-30 tetraoleate, sorbeth-40 tetraoleate, and sorbeth-60 tetraoleate.
[0056] Among these, from the viewpoint of excellent cleaning power, it is more preferable that component (D) is at least one selected from the group consisting of PEG-7 glyceryl coconut oil fatty acid, PEG-20 glyceryl stearate, PEG-20 glyceryl isostearate, PEG-20 glyceryl triisostearate, sorbeth-30 tetraoleate, sorbeth-40 tetraoleate, and sorbeth-60 tetraoleate, and from the viewpoint of particularly excellent cleaning power, sorbeth-30 tetraoleate is even more preferable.
[0057] The component (D) may be used alone or in combination of two or more. The present inventors attempted to create an emulsion-type hair cleanser with high cleansing power by blending an amphoteric surfactant that does not fall under the category of component (A) of the present invention with a nonionic surfactant (D), but found it difficult to achieve both high cleansing power and stability of the agent.
[0058] However, the present inventors have found that by blending specific amounts of the guanidino group-containing amphoteric surfactant (A) and methosulfate-type quaternary ammonium salt (B) as specified in the present invention, the emulsion does not break down and the agent does not separate, even when a specific amount of the optional nonionic surfactant (D) is blended, and the stability of the agent is significantly improved.
[0059] <Silicone (E)> In the present invention, the silicone (E) is also referred to simply as component (E). The emulsion-type hair cleanser of the present invention contains the silicone (E) in an amount of preferably 0.05 to 10% by mass, more preferably 0.1 to 5.0% by mass, and even more preferably 0.2 to 1.0% by mass. It is preferable that the content of silicone (E) is within the above range, as this tends to result in excellent finger-combability and uniformity of the finished hair.
[0060] The average degree of polymerization of the silicone (E) is preferably in the range of 2 cs to 1,000,000 cs, more preferably 5 cs to 100,000 cs, and even more preferably 10 cs to 60,000 cs. Examples of the silicone (E) include dimethicone, dimethiconol, amino-modified silicone, and cyclopentasiloxane.
[0061] Among these, it is preferable that component (E) is at least one selected from the group consisting of dimethicone, dimethiconol, and amino-modified silicone, and from the viewpoint of achieving particularly excellent finger smoothness and uniformity in the finished product, dimethicone is more preferable, and dimethicone with an average degree of polymerization of 10 cs to 60,000 cs is even more preferable from the viewpoint of achieving an excellent finger smoothness in the finished product. The component (E) may be used alone or in combination of two or more.
[0062] <Liquid oil (F) that is liquid at 25°C> In the present invention, the liquid oil (F) that is liquid at 25° C. is also simply referred to as component (F). The emulsion-type hair wash of the present invention contains a liquid oil (F) that is liquid at 25°C in an amount of preferably 0.1 to 10 mass %, more preferably 0.3 to 5.0 mass %, and even more preferably 0.5 to 1.5 mass %.
[0063] It is preferable that the content of component (F) is within the above range, as this tends to result in excellent finish smoothness and softness. Examples of component (F) include hydrocarbons such as isododecane, dodecane, mineral oil, and squalane; ester oils such as isopropyl myristate, tri(caprylic / capric)glyceryl / jojoba seed oil esters, isononyl isononanoate, and olive ethyl oleate; and vegetable oils such as olive oil, macadamia nut oil, rice bran oil, and camellia oil.
[0064] Among these, from the viewpoint of smoothness of finger-combing after washing and softness of finish, it is preferable that component (F) is an ester oil, and among ester oils, at least one selected from the group consisting of isopropyl myristate, caprylic / capric triglyceride / jojoba seed oil esters, isononyl isononanoate, and ethyl olive oleate is more preferable, with isononyl isononanoate being even more preferable as it is particularly excellent in terms of smoothness of finger-combing after washing and softness of finish. The component (F) may be used alone or in combination of two or more.
[0065] <Semi-solid to solid oils and fats at 25°C (G)> In the present invention, the term "oils and fats that are semi-solid to solid at 25°C" refers to oils and fats that are semi-solid to solid in an environment of 25°C, and preferably has a melting point of 30°C or higher and 75°C or lower.
[0066] In the present invention, the oil or fat (G) that is semi-solid to solid at 25° C. is also simply referred to as component (G). The emulsion-type hair wash of the present invention contains a semi-solid to solid oil or fat (G) at 25°C in an amount of preferably 0.01 to 10% by mass, more preferably 0.05 to 5.0% by mass, and even more preferably 0.07 to 3.0% by mass.
[0067] If the component (G) is within the above range, the finished hair tends to have an excellent moist feeling and softness, which is preferable. Examples of component (G) include hydrocarbons such as paraffin; ester oils such as phytosteryl macadamiate, octyldodecyl lanolinate, and dimer dilinoleate (phytosteryl / isostearyl / cetyl / stearyl / behenyl); and vegetable oils such as Theobroma grandiflorum seed butter.
[0068] Among these, from the viewpoint of achieving excellent moisturizing feeling and softness in the finished hair, it is preferable that component (G) is an ester oil, and among the ester oils, at least one selected from the group consisting of phytosteryl macadamia nut fatty acid, octyldodecyl lanolin fatty acid, and dimer dilinoleic acid (phytosteryl / isostearyl / cetyl / stearyl / behenyl) is more preferable, and from the viewpoint of achieving particularly excellent moisturizing feeling and softness in the finished hair, octyldodecyl lanolin fatty acid is even more preferable. The component (G) may be used alone or in combination of two or more.

[0072] Optional components that are preferably used include, specifically, citric acid and sodium citrate as pH adjusters; phenoxyethanol as a preservative; lauramidopropyl betaine and cocamidopropyl betaine as emulsifiers; PEG-90M as a thickener; and stearic acid as a fatty acid.
[0073] 《Manufacturing method, etc.》 The emulsion-type hair wash of the present invention can be produced by, for example, stirring, mixing, heating, dissolving, dispersing, or the like using a known method, except that the above-mentioned components are used in the above-mentioned amounts, and the production method is not particularly limited.
[0074] The emulsion-type hair cleanser of the present invention may be prepared by adding the guanidino group-containing amphoteric surfactant (A) and the methosulfate-type quaternary ammonium salt (B) separately to the oil phase and the aqueous phase, respectively, or by dissolving components (A) and (B) in the aqueous phase and then adding them to the oil phase under heating conditions. When prepared under heating conditions, the temperature may be, for example, 75 to 85°C.
[0075] <Dosage form, etc.> The viscosity of the emulsion-type hair wash of the present invention measured with a Brookfield viscometer at 25°C is preferably 5,000 to 100,000 cps, more preferably 7,000 to 70,000 cps, and even more preferably 10,000 to 40,000 cps, from the viewpoints of being less likely to drip when taken into the hands, adhering to the scalp, and being easy to apply uniformly to the hair.
[0076] The viscosity can be measured, for example, using a Brookfield type viscometer. The emulsified hair wash of the present invention preferably has a pH of 3.8 to 5.0, more preferably 4.0 to 4.5, and even more preferably 4.1 to 4.3 at 25° C. A pH within the above range is preferred because it tends to provide excellent moisture after washing, as well as excellent moisture and manageability in the finished hair.
[0077] The pH can be measured, for example, using a pH meter (manufactured by Toa DDK Co., Ltd.). The emulsion-type hair cleanser of the present invention preferably has an opaque appearance. The emulsion-type hair wash of the present invention is preferably a cream shampoo, a cleansing conditioner, or a cleansing treatment, and is more preferably a cream shampoo because of its ease of application, moisturizing effect after cleansing, and excellent manageability and moisturizing finish.
[0078] In the present invention, a cream shampoo refers to a shampoo that combines high cleansing power and conditioning effect. Because cream shampoos can cleanse and condition at the same time, there is a tendency that it is not necessary to use hair cosmetics such as a rinse or treatment after shampooing, as is the case with conventional shampoos.
[0079] The emulsion-type hair cleanser of the present invention is preferably an agent that does not substantially foam. In the present invention, "substantially does not foam" refers to a state in which no or almost no foam is generated when washing the scalp and hair.
[0080] When the emulsion-type hair cleanser of the present invention is a substantially non-foaming agent, it easily adheres to the scalp and hair surface, and is therefore excellent at removing dirt such as sebum, and is also likely to impart moisture and manageability to hair.
[0081] <How to use emulsion type hair cleanser> The method for using the emulsion-type hair cleanser of the present invention includes an application step (I) of applying the emulsion-type hair cleanser to a moistened scalp, a washing step (II) of applying the emulsion-type hair cleanser to the entire scalp and hair to wash the hair after the application step (I), and a water-rinsing step (III) of rinsing the emulsion-type hair cleanser after the washing step (II).
[0082] The emulsion-type hair cleanser of the present invention can be used when the hair is dry or wet, but it is preferable to use it when the scalp and hair are wet, as this makes it easier to remove dirt such as sebum. [Example]
[0083] The present invention will now be described in more detail with reference to examples, but the present invention is not limited to these examples. In the examples and comparative examples, commercially available products listed in Table 1 were used.
[0084] The numerical values of the formulations in Tables 4 to 11 represent the mass % of each component when the emulsion-type hair cleanser is taken as 100 mass %, and are expressed as values converted into pure contents.
[0085] [Table 1]

[0090] A hair bundle (approximately 30 cm, 10 g of human hair) (product name BS-B3A, manufactured by Bealux) was damaged by immersing it in a distressing treatment aqueous solution prepared according to the blending ratios shown in Table 2 at 60°C for 10 minutes. The hair bundle was then removed from the distressing treatment aqueous solution, washed with water, and dried.
[0091] [Table 2]
[0092] 《Artificial sebum》 For the evaluation item (2), we used artificial sebum prepared with reference to the composition of artificial sebum described in "2.2 Physicochemical Properties" on page 298 of Vol. 38, No. 4 (1989) of Yu Kagaku.
[0093] The artificial sebum was prepared by measuring out the specified amounts of the components shown in Table 3 below into a beaker and thoroughly stirring until homogenous. The artificial sebum was black in color.
