Ammonia Combustion Equipment

Abstract

The invention relates to the field of chemical engineering, in particular to a device for burning ammonia, which can be used in a heat generating device for generating heat and in a device for decomposing ammonia into a mixture of hydrogen and nitrogen. The ammonia burning device comprises a cylindrical combustion chamber, a device for feeding an ammonia-air mixture, which includes at least one main feed channel, a channel for feeding an ammonia-air mixture, at the outlet of which a tangential swirler is installed, an ignition plug attached to the combustion chamber, an auxiliary fuel feed channel for feeding an auxiliary fuel with increased combustibility, and a cylindrical housing, inside and coaxially with the cylindrical housing there is a cylindrical combustion chamber, between which an additional annular channel is formed between the inlet of the main feed channel and the tangential swirler for feeding and heating the ammonia-air mixture, the cylindrical housing and the cylindrical side of the combustion chamber are provided with at least one through hole for mounting an ignition plug, a flame detection device, a device for feeding secondary air, a flame holding mechanism are introduced, the combustion chamber is cooled, at the outlet of which a catalytic unit is installed. The technical result achieved is an improvement in the environmental parameters of the burner, the reliability and safety of its operation.
