Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] A filter component and a method for manufacturing the filter component are presented. [Background technology]
[0002] Filter components, in particular EMC filter components, are used, for example, in electrical connection elements between current conductors or electronic components, to at least partially suppress or eliminate undesired interference signals. For example, in electrically driven vehicles, DC converters are used, which may be a source of undesired interference signals. In order to avoid adverse effects or damage to further electronic components, in particular between the DC converter and the further electronic components, filter components are arranged. Filter components are known, for example, from DE 199 1 43 33 56 A1.
[0003] The electrical connection elements between the electronic components are formed, for example, as busbars so that large drive currents can be transmitted. Between the filter components and the busbars there is an electrical contact for diverting electrical interference signals. A solder connection between the busbars and the filter components is not possible, for example, due to the large soldering heat dissipation. The electrical contact between the busbars and the filter components is therefore established, for example, via a screw connection. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0004] [Patent Document 1] DE 102016110742 Summary of the Invention
[0005] At least one problem of the particular embodiment is to provide an improved filter component, which has a particularly compact construction. This problem is solved by the subject matter having the features of claim 1.
[0006] Furthermore, an improved method for producing a filter component is to be provided, in which the filter component is made particularly compact. This problem is solved by a method comprising the steps of claim 12.
[0007] Advantageous embodiments and developments of the filter component and the method for manufacturing the filter component are set out in the dependent claims.
[0008] According to one embodiment, the filter component comprises a circuit board having an electric circuit applied thereon. The electric circuit is, for example, a low-pass filter adapted to filter high-frequency interference signals. In particular, the electric circuit comprises a plurality of electronic components, for example electric resistors and capacitors. Furthermore, the electric circuit comprises at least one connection contact and one ground contact. The electronic components and the connection contacts and the ground contact are preferably electrically connected to each other via conductor tracks on the circuit board.
[0009] According to a further embodiment, the filter component comprises a busbar. The busbar is particularly adapted to carry a large drive current. For example, the busbar is designed for a continuous or variable drive current of at least 50 Amperes. The busbar is, for example, a flat cable, preferably having at least one flat surface adapted to form a borehole in the busbar. For example, the busbar has a rectangular or square cross section.
[0010] The busbars in particular comprise an electrically conductive material with a low electrical resistance, for example they comprise a metal or are made of a metal, for example made of copper or aluminum.
[0011] According to a further embodiment, the filter component comprises a clamp plug connection, which is arranged on the circuit board, electrically connected to the electric circuit and adapted to bring the electric circuit into electrical contact with the busbar. In particular, the clamp plug connection is mechanically connected to the circuit board and the busbar and electrically connected to a connection contact of the electric circuit. Furthermore, the clamp plug connection is electrically connected to the busbar.
[0012] The mechanical and electrical connection between the busbar and the clamping plug connection can be formed reversibly or, preferably, irreversibly. For example, the clamping plug connection is adapted to be inserted onto or into the busbar and thereby to fix the busbar in a mechanically clamping manner. The clamping plug connection advantageously has a more compact construction than, in particular, a screw connection between, for example, a circuit board and a busbar.
[0013] According to a further embodiment of the filter component, the clamp plug connection comprises a conductive pin which is press-fitted into a hole in the busbar, so that there is a frictionally conductive connection between the conductive pin and the busbar. The conductive pin, for example, comprises or consists of metal. In particular, the conductive pin is adapted for a press-fit connection with the busbar.
[0014] Due to the large pressing force during press-fitting, the conductive pins can be locally welded to the busbars, and therefore there can also be a connection between the conductive pins and the busbars by intermolecular forces.
[0015] The cross-section of the holes in the busbar may have the same or different shape as the cross-section of the conductive pins. In other words, the conductive pins and the holes have the same or different cross-sectional contours. For example, the holes may have a circular or elliptical cross-section, while the conductive pins may have a circular, rectangular or square cross-section. For example, by pressing a conductive pin having a rectangular cross-section into a circular hole, good contact may be advantageously achieved under a relatively low pressing force.
[0016] Preferably, the metal pin and / or the hole of the busbar are deformed during the press-fitting such that there is a permanent mechanical and conductive connection between the metal pin and the busbar. In particular, the maximum diameter of the conductive pin in the contact area with the busbar before press-fitting is slightly larger than the maximum diameter of the hole of the busbar. Here and below, maximum diameter refers in particular to the linear dimension of the cross section in the direction in which the linear dimension is greatest. For example, the maximum diameter of the conductive pin in the contact area is 1 to 10 percent larger than the maximum diameter of the hole. By pressing the conductive pin into the hole, a low resistance conductive and mechanical connection is formed.
[0017] The holes in the busbars can be formed, for example, as through holes or blind holes, where blind holes do not pass completely through the busbar and through holes pass completely through the busbar.
[0018] The cross-sectional area of the conductive pin is preferably smaller than the cross-sectional area of the busbar. The conductive pin is adapted to divert the current of the interference signal, which is then many times smaller than the drive current carried by the busbar, for example. In particular, the cross-section of the conductive pin can be adapted to the small current of the interference signal.
[0019] According to a further embodiment of the filter component, the conductive pin is plastically or elastically deformable in the contact area with the busbar. For example, the conductive pin is formed with a slit in the contact area, so that the cross-sectional area of the conductive pin in the contact area is larger than in the remaining area of the conductive pin. The conductive pin, which is pressed into the hole, is deformed in particular plastically or elastically in the contact area, so that a frictionally conductive connection is established between the busbar and the clamp plug connection.
[0020] According to a further embodiment of the filter component, the conductive pins are press-fit into the through holes of the circuit board, so that there is a frictionally conductive connection between the conductive pins and the through holes.
[0021] A through-hole is in particular a hole in a circuit board, the inner surface of which is lined with a conductive material which is electrically connected to an electric circuit, for example via a conductor track on the circuit board. Preferably, the conductive pin is shaped in the contact area with the through-hole similarly to the contact area with the busbar. In particular, the conductive pin pressed into the through-hole is plastically deformed in the contact area with the through-hole, so that there is a low-resistance conductive and mechanical connection between the conductive pin and the through-hole.
[0022] According to a further embodiment of the filter component, the conductive pin has at least one element for limiting the press-in depth. In particular, the element for limiting the press-in depth is formed as a depth stop. The element for limiting the press-in depth can be formed on the side of the conductive pin facing the busbar and / or on the side of the conductive pin facing the circuit board. The element for limiting the press-in depth is in particular adapted to determine the maximum press-in depth of the conductive pin into the hole of the busbar and / or into the through-hole of the circuit board. By means of depth stops, for example formed on both ends of the conductive pin, the distance between the busbar and the main surface of the circuit board can be precisely adjusted. For this purpose, the conductive pin is for example pressed into both the busbar and the circuit board up to a maximum press-in depth, which is then determined by the depth stop.
[0023] For example, the conductive pin may have at least one shoulder as a depth stop that rests directly on a surface of the busbar after the conductive pin is pressed into the busbar hole such that the shoulder resting on the surface of the busbar prevents the conductive pin from being pressed deeper into the busbar hole.
[0024] Additionally, the conductive pin may have at least one shoulder as a depth stop, the shoulder resting directly on the major surface of the circuit board after the conductive pin is pressed into the through hole of the circuit board, in particular, the shoulder resting on the major surface of the circuit board prevents the conductive pin from being pressed further into the through hole.
[0025] Furthermore, the element for limiting the press-in depth can position the plastically or elastically deformable region of the conductive pin in the center of the busbar and / or in the center of the circuit board. In other words, the element for limiting the press-in depth is adapted such that the plastically or elastically deformable region of the conductive pin is positioned in the center of the busbar or in the center of the circuit board after press-in. For example, the depth stop prevents the plastically or elastically deformable region of the conductive pin from being pressed by the busbar or the circuit board. The element for limiting the press-in depth can thus ensure optimal mechanical and electrical contact between the conductive pin and the busbar or the circuit board.
[0026] According to a further embodiment of the filter component, the two ends of the conductive pin are configured identically, in other words the conductive pin has the same shape and / or the same dimensions within the framework of manufacturing tolerances on the side facing the busbar and on the side facing the circuit board, so that the clamp plug connection can be configured particularly compactly.
[0027] Alternatively, the conductive pins may have different shapes and / or different dimensions at the two opposite ends, such that the shape and / or dimensions of the conductive pins at the two opposite ends can be adapted to the respective mechanical properties of, for example, a busbar or a circuit board.
[0028] According to a further embodiment of the filter component, the clamp plug connection comprises a spacer which forms an installation space together with the circuit board and the busbar. Preferably, the spacer comprises or consists of an electrically insulating material. The electrically insulating material is, for example, a polymer.
[0029] The busbar is particularly arranged at a distance from the main surface of the circuit board. For example, the spacer determines the distance between the main surface of the circuit board and the busbar. The installation space is particularly an intermediate space between the main surface of the circuit board and the busbar. For example, components of an electric circuit are arranged in the installation space. The spacer is preferably arranged surrounding the conductive pin and may form an electrical insulation of the conductive pin in the installation space.
[0030] The spacers may also be adapted to mechanically stabilize the clamp plug connection, for example to prevent bending of the conductive pins during operation of the filter component or when press-fitted onto the busbar and / or circuit board.
[0031] According to a further embodiment of the filter component, a magnetic toroidal core is arranged in the installation space, surrounding the busbars, the magnetic toroidal core being in particular electrically isolated from the busbars and the electric circuit, and furthermore the magnetic toroidal core is mechanically connected to the circuit board, for example via a transportation lock.
[0032] The magnetic toroidal core may have, for example, an elliptical or flattened elliptical structure. In other words, the magnetic toroidal core has, in a plane perpendicular to the main axis of the magnetic toroidal core, an elliptical or flattened elliptical cross section. Here and below, the main axis of the magnetic toroidal core refers to an axis passing through the center of the magnetic toroidal core and extending along the bore of the magnetic toroidal core. With a flattened elliptical structure, the cross section of the bore of the magnetic toroidal core can be adapted, for example, to the rectangular cross section of the busbar. In that way, the filter component advantageously has a more compact structure.
[0033] According to a further embodiment of the filter component, the busbar is arranged in a plane parallel to the main surface of the circuit board. For example, the filter component comprises at least two magnetic ring cores arranged coaxially on the circuit board, so that the busbar passes through the magnetic toroidal core along a common main axis. In that case, the main axis of the magnetic toroidal core is arranged parallel to the main surface of the circuit board.
[0034] According to a further embodiment of the filter component, the cross-sectional area of the busbar is at least 5 square millimeters. In particular, the cross-sectional area of the busbar is so large that electrical contact of the busbar with the electrical circuit cannot be made by a solder connection. For example, the solder heat dissipation through the busbar is so large that the formation of a solder connection is not possible.
[0035] According to a further embodiment of the filter component, the components of the electric circuit are arranged on the main side of the circuit board facing away from the busbar. In particular, none or only some of the components of the electric circuit are arranged in the installation space between the busbar and the circuit board. In this way, for example, multiple magnetic toroidal cores can be arranged in the installation space with a relatively small spacing and thus a relatively high packing density. This advantageously reduces the overall length of the filter component, in particular in the direction parallel to the main extension direction of the busbar.
[0036] According to a further embodiment, the filter component further comprises an electrically insulating potting compound, which surrounds at least the busbars, the magnetic toroidal core and the circuit board and is adapted to mechanically stabilize the filter component. In particular, only the connection areas of the busbars and the ground contacts of the electric circuit remain free of the electrically insulating potting compound. Preferably, the electrically insulating potting compound also surrounds the magnetic toroidal core, which is mechanically fixed to the circuit board, for example by means of a transport lock. The electrically insulating potting compound is thus particularly adapted to provide a vibration-proof and / or vibration-proof mechanical connection of all parts of the filter component as well as an electrical insulation of the filter component.
[0037] Since the potting compound is adapted to mechanically stabilize the filter component, the conductive pin can have a particularly small cross-sectional area, which is not particularly adapted to provide a permanent mechanical connection between the circuit board and the busbar, so that the clamp plug connection can have a small structure, whereby the filter component advantageously has a compact structure.
[0038] The filter components described herein are particularly used to at least partially suppress electromagnetic interference signals in the current flowing through the busbars during operation of the filter component.
[0039] Furthermore, a method for manufacturing the film component is presented, by which, inter alia, the filter component described herein may be manufactured, and therefore all features of the filter component are also disclosed for the method for manufacturing the filter component and vice versa.
[0040] According to one embodiment of a method for manufacturing a filter component, a circuit board is provided having an electrical circuit and a clamp plug connection applied to the circuit board, the clamp plug connection being electrically connected to the electrical circuit.
[0041] According to a further embodiment of the method, the busbar is aligned with respect to the clamp plug connection.
[0042] In particular, the conductive pins of the clamp plug connection and the holes in the busbar are aligned so that the conductive pins can be press-fit into the holes.
[0043] According to a further embodiment of the method, the clamp plug connection is pressed into the busbar in order to establish an electrical contact between the busbar and the electric circuit, in particular the conductive pin of the clamp plug connection is pressed into the hole of the busbar in such a way that the conductive pin is elastically or plastically deformed in the contact area with the busbar, whereby a frictionally-driven mechanical and low-resistance conductive connection is formed between the busbar and the clamp plug connection.
[0044] According to a further embodiment of the method, a magnetic toroidal core is placed on the circuit board and mechanically fixed, and the busbars are guided through the magnetic toroidal core before being aligned with the clamp plug connection.
[0045] Furthermore, the busbars are in particular arranged parallel to the main faces of the circuit board and lead through the center of the magnetic toroidal core along its main axis, in which case the magnetic toroidal core remains electrically isolated from the busbars and the electrical circuit.
[0046] The magnetic toroidal core is mechanically connected to the circuit board, the spacer and / or other frame parts, preferably via a transport lock, after the busbars have been led through the toroidal core. The transport lock is adapted for a temporary mechanical fixation at least until the filter component is completely manufactured. The permanent mechanical connection of the magnetic toroidal core with the circuit board is effected, for example, by means of an electrically insulating potting compound, with which the filter component is potted. The transport lock preferably has a smaller structure than the permanent connection element. In that way, the entire filter component advantageously has a more compact structure.
[0047] According to a further embodiment of the method, the filter component is potted with an electrically insulating potting compound after the clamp plug connection has been pressed in. The electrically insulating potting compound comprises, for example, a casting resin and is particularly adapted for mechanical stabilization of the filter component and for better heat dissipation.
[0048] Further advantageous embodiments and developments of the filter component and the method for manufacturing the filter component will become apparent from the exemplary embodiments described below in conjunction with the drawings. [Brief description of the drawings]

[Figure 8] 2 is a schematic perspective view of a portion of a conductive pin of a filter component according to one embodiment; DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0050] Identical, similar or similarly acting elements are provided with the same reference numerals in the figures. The figures and the size relationships between the elements shown in the figures are not to scale. Rather, individual elements may be illustrated exaggeratedly larger or smaller for easier viewing and / or understanding.
[0051] The filter component according to the embodiment of Fig. 1 comprises a circuit board 1 having an electric circuit 2 applied thereon. A clamp plug connection 4 establishes a mechanical contact between the circuit board 1 and a bus bar 3 extending parallel to a main surface 10 of the circuit board. Furthermore, the clamp plug connection 4 is adapted to establish a conductive connection between the bus bar 3 and the electric circuit 2 on the circuit board 1. The electric circuit 2 is adapted to at least partially suppress interference signals in a current flowing through the bus bar during operation of the filter component.
[0052] The clamp plug connection 4 includes a conductive pin 5 and a spacer 7. The spacer 7 partially surrounds the conductive pin 5 and is adapted to electrically insulate the conductive pin 5 in the region between the bus bar 3 and the circuit board 1. An opposing end region of the conductive pin 5 is free of the spacer 7 and is adapted to make electrical contact with the bus bar 3 and the electrical circuit 2 on the circuit board 1. The spacer 7 mechanically stabilizes the conductive pin 5 and prevents bending of the conductive pin 5.
[0053] The conductive pins 5 are in particular press-fitted into holes 6 of the busbars 3, the holes 6 being formed as through-holes 6 passing completely through the busbars 3. By pressing the conductive pins 5 into the holes 6 a mechanical, frictionally conductive connection is created between the busbars 3 and the conductive pins 5.
[0054] In particular, the conductive pins 5 are plastically or elastically deformable in the contact area with the busbar 3. For example, the conductive pins 5 are slitted in the contact area and have a maximum diameter slightly larger than the holes 6 in the busbar 3 before press-fitting.
[0055] Furthermore, the conductive pins 5 are mechanically and electrically connected to the circuit board 1 via through holes 11 in the circuit board 1. For example, the conductive pins 5 are fixed in the through holes 11 by solder connection or by press-fit connection.
[0056] The spacer 7 is further adapted to determine a distance A between a main surface 10 of the circuit board 1 and the busbar 3. This results in particular in an installation space 8 between the circuit board 1 and the busbar 3. In the installation space 8, components of the electric circuit 2 and a magnetic toroidal core 9 are arranged. Components of the electric circuit 2, or at least parts thereof, can also be arranged on a main surface of the circuit board 1 opposite the installation space 8.
[0057] The magnetic toroidal core 9 is mechanically fixed on the circuit board 1 by means of a transportation lock 12 and surrounds the busbar 3. In particular, the busbar 3 passes through the magnetic toroidal core 9 along its main axis 13. In that case, the magnetic toroidal core 9 is electrically isolated from the busbar 3 and the electrical circuit 2.
[0058] The embodiment of Fig. 2 shows, in contrast to the filter component of Fig. 1, a filter component with three magnetic toroidal cores 9 arranged coaxially and mechanically fixed on a circuit board 1 by means of transportation locks 12. The magnetic toroidal cores 9 surround two busbars 3 which are connected to the circuit board 1 and to the electric circuit 2 arranged thereon via three clamp plug connections 4 each. The two busbars 3 are part of a closed circuit, the currents in the two busbars flow in opposite directions during operation.
[0059] The components of the electric circuit 2 are in particular arranged on the main side of the circuit board 1 facing away from the busbars 3. Thereby, the installation space 8 remains free of components of the electric circuit 2, whereby a higher packing density of the magnetic toroidal cores 9 can be achieved. The filter component therefore advantageously has a small extent in a direction parallel to the main extension direction of the busbars 3. Ground contacts 14 are adapted for external grounding of the filter component.
[0060] Figure 3 shows a further perspective view of the filter component according to the embodiment of Figure 2 in a top view looking down on the main surface 10 of the circuit board 1. In particular, Figure 3 shows six conductive pins 5 of the clamp plug connection 4, which are press-fitted into six associated holes 6 of the two busbars 3.
[0061] In contrast to the embodiment of Figures 2 and 3, the filter component according to the embodiment of Figures 4 and 5 comprises an electric circuit 2, the components of which are arranged in the installation space 8 between the busbar 3 and the circuit board 1. In particular, no components of the electric circuit are arranged on the main face of the circuit board 1 facing away from the busbar 3. Thereby, the filter component advantageously has a low overall height in a direction perpendicular to the main extension plane of the circuit board 1.
[0062] Figure 4 shows a side view of the filter component and Figure 5 a perspective view, one of the two busbars 3 not shown for better visibility. The conductive pins 5 are slit in the contact area with the busbar 3. By being pressed into the busbar 3, the conductive pins 5 are plastically deformed in the slit area and thus form a particularly good electrical and mechanical contact with the busbar 3.
[0063] 6 shows a stage of the filter component after a method step according to an embodiment, in which the magnetic toroidal core 9 is pressed against the busbar 3 and the busbar 3 is aligned with respect to the clamp plug connection 4. In particular, the busbar 3 is led through the magnetic toroidal core 9 parallel to the main axis 13 and is aligned such that the conductive pins 5 can be pressed into the holes 6 of the busbar 3. In particular, the holes 6 of the busbar 3 are embodied as blind holes that do not pass completely through the busbar 3.
[0064] 7 shows a schematic diagram of the filter component after a further method step, in which the conductive pins 5 of the clamp plug connections 4 are pressed into the holes 6 of the busbars 3 and the magnetic toroidal cores 9 are mechanically fixed to the circuit board 1 via transport locks 12. For mechanical stabilization and electrical insulation, the filter component is preferably surrounded in a further method step by an electrically insulating potting compound, with in particular only the connection areas of the busbars 3 and the ground contacts 14 (not shown here, see e.g. Figures 2 and 3) remaining exposed.
[0065] The spacer 7 adjusts the distance between the circuit board 1 and the busbar 3. In addition, the spacer 7 mechanically stabilizes the conductive pin 5 and prevents the conductive pin 5 from bending when being pressed into the busbar 3. In addition, the spacer 7 can determine the press-in depth of the conductive pin 5 in the busbar 3. In particular, the spacer 7 forms a depth stop for the conductive pin 5.
[0066] 8 shows one end of a conductive pin 5 of a filter component according to one embodiment. The conductive pin 5 comprises a mechanically deformable region 15 and a depth stop 16. The mechanically deformable region 15 is slit along the longitudinal axis of the conductive pin 5 and is adapted to be press-fit into a hole 6 of a busbar 3 (not shown) or into a through-hole 11 of a circuit board 1 (not shown).
[0067] The depth stop 16 comprises two shoulders arranged next to the mechanically deformable region 15. The depth stop 16 can also have only one shoulder. The two shoulders are arranged offset backwards with respect to the mechanically deformable region 15 in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the conductive pin 5. In particular, the conductive pin 5 can be pressed in to a press-in depth that corresponds to the distance between the end face of the mechanically deformable region 15 and the end face of the depth stop 16, i.e. between the end faces of the two shoulders.
